Dates wrong on photos using iOS 8?
Not sure what's up, but I've noticed some of my photos I'be taken in the past few days are showing up as the wrong date. I was wondering why I couldn't find them in my photos, it was because they were dated 2013 even though I just took them. It's only certain photos. Is there a way to edit the date in each pic so that they aren't lost way back with old pics? Thanks!
Yes, I had issues during update. The download stopped three or four times then appeared to be complete but was not. I finally went to iTunes on another computer and uploaded the latest IOS-8.

yeah, in itunes if you select your phone, you should get tabs across the top for what to sync, under photos uncheck the box

How do I store and access while traveling more than the last 1000 photos using iOS
I would like to store 2 or 3000 photos (unlimited would be even better) that I can search thumbnails and access anytime anywhere without using the GB's on my IOS device for that storage. iPhone and/or iPad devices. iCloud stores the last 1000,,, not sufficient for me. I have iPhoto on my Macbook and a Mac Mini where I store the photos at home. Fee free is highly desired. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Do you take your MacBook with you, when you are travelling? Then the MacBook and a small external drive for backing up the photos should suffice. -

I have an iphone 4, using IOS 5.0.1 and have always synced it to my laptop (windows vista, 32 bit). I have recently bought a new desktop computer (Windows 7, 64 bit) and after putting it off for a while, i've decided to bite the bullet and sync my iphone with my new computer. I have already authorised my itunes account on my new computer, and i don't mind loosing music. I am more concered though about the risk of loosing my text messages and photos on my phone.
Could anyone please tell me if i will loose the messages and photos from my phone when syncing to a new computer.

Chris.When you connect the iPhone to sync with the new computer, a number of things will happen. If the new computer/iTunes does not contain any music, then yes, you will receive a prompt saying this iPhone is synced to another library, and if you continue, you will lose your music. However, you risk losing a number of other things, such as apps, contacts and calendar data. When you ask about photos, any photos that you have on the iPhone that were synced from the previous computer would also be lost. You need to save the photo folder from the old laptop and transfer that to the new desktop. You also need to sync the contacts and calendar to the same supported application that you were using in the past, such as Outlook, unless you are using an outside web-based sync, such as Google. Also, when you first connect the iPhone, it will make a backup, or at least make sure that it does before you attempt to sync, or you will not have a backup of some of the other things, such as mail settings, SMS, and the contents of the Camera Roll. I would import the photos from the camera roll to the new computer before trying to do anything else in iTunes.

Using the iPhone camera, I take a photo and then I want to make the photo a little brighter.
So, I edit a photo using iPhoto for iOS and then save the photo back to the camera roll.
Now, I might want to see where that photo was taken via another app (like Photo Mapo) or on the map using the Photos app, or even the Mac iPhoto app.
However, the GPS data has been removed. Looks like all of the other exif data is still in the photo.
Why not just have a feature to remove the GPS data if the user wants? no reason to remove it for them.
The user explictily chose to have location services turned on so the GPS data would be in the photo.
Is this a bug?

Brian.First thing to try is a reboot of your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem.
None of my cameras has a GPS function so I never see that data in the info of a photo in iPhoto for iOS. But I do see the map choice to set a location for the photo. Perhaps a reboot will fix this for you. -
I want to be able to view my photos in iOS according to the faces I've identified in them on the Mac, but I can't seem to figure out how. Any suggestions?
On iOS, in the Photos app, use the search functionality (the magnifying glass, top right). Once you click on the magnifying glass - you may need to wait a moment or two - you will see a list of suggested or recent searches. You can type in a face name instead. The results from the search will be all pics tagged with that name.
You may have an issue with not all tagged pictures appearing in the search results, however. Initially all appeared for me, but they no longer do. There appears to be some issue with the reindexing of my picture data in the cloud - the search still returns folder names for folders which don't exist anymore. Hopefully you won't have that to content with. -
Help! I used to upload photos via ios and it was always published up to my 5th photos, but on the 6th, it just go to ios photos album and was not published on my fb's timeline...
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

I need to update my phone, but my computer broke, and do not have a new one. can I use someone else computer to go through with the update if i log on with my itunes account or Is there a chance of loosing all my data, ie: music/photos? And if all else fails can i go to the apple store and have them update my phone?
Update to what? The 3G you want to update? You have ios3 or 4 on that 3G?

Make a backup of your stuff (from the phone. apps/photos/music/blabla). Update your phone. The phone will restore the backup automatically. -
I have a large number of photos imported into iPhoto with the dates wrong. How can I adjust multiple photos (with varying dates) to the same, correct, date?
If I understand you correctly, when you enter a date in the Adjust Date and Time window, the picture does not update with the date you enter. If that is the case then something is wrong with iPhoto or your perhaps your library.
How large a date change are you putting in? iPhoto currently has an issue with date changes beyond about 60 years at a time. If the difference between the current date on the image and the date you are entering is beyond that range that may explain why this is not working.
If that is not the case:
Remove the following to the trash and restart the computer and try again:
Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.iphoto
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.iPhoto (There may be more than one. Remove them all.)
---NOTE: to get to the "home > library" hold down option on the keyboard and click on "Go" > "Library" while in the Finder.

I imported photo from my iPhone 4 to t iPhoto on my MacBookPro. Then I wanted to export some of those photos as jpeg file, using the export menu of iPhoto, to put them in a folder in Finder. When I did, all the original have been lost.
I tried to copy/paste and I had the same problem.
If someone can help me, it will be great !

My best guess is that you are confusing the file date with the photo date - they are totally different - photo programs like iPhoto use the photo date - file programs like the finder use the file date - they have no relationship to each other

I am using IOS 4.1 in Ipod touch. I would like to take my data back using icloud. I am not able to enable icloud in to my ipod touch. please help me for the same. Basically I am trying to take back to upgrade my ios to 5 or 6 version.
You can't back up to iCloud until you update to iOS 5 or higher. You will have to back up your iPod on your computer using iTunes. Update iTunes on your computer to the latest version, then connect your iPod to your computer, open iTunes, if iTunes give you a pop-up asking if you want to update your iPod, decline. Then click on the name of your iPod in iTunes, go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases to transfer any purchased media to your iTunes library. Next, go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click on Back Up Now to back up your iPod on your computer.
When it's done backing up, click on Check for Update (or Update) on the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings. Allow your iPod to update, and leave it connected to your computer. At the end, it will restart and give you the option to restore to the iTunes backup you made earlier. Choose this option to restore your backup and sync your apps and other iTuens media to your phone.

I tried to share a photo using e-mail and when i set up my gmail account I typed in the wrong user name and password.
Now I can't send a photo because i get an error message saying the user name and password do not match.

Alternatively, use Apple's Mail for the job. It has Templates too - and more of them. -
Cannot attach multiple photos using the ' Message ' option iOS 5.0.1 in ' Photos ' app.
Since i have updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.0.1 i cannot attach multiple photos using the ' Message ' option in the ' Photos ' app.
i browse my photos and then select ' Message ' on a photo. i am then able to attach the first image to the message.
When i then select the Camera icon on the created message to add another image , either ' Choose existing ' or ' Take Photo or Video ' , it does nothing and takes you back to your existing message.
I am able to attach multiple images when accessing the iMessage app it is just from the Photos app it is occuring

[email protected]You indicated that the images "seemed" to be in the right order. It might be a good idea to rename the images on export using a custom name/sequence. If you have done that and the images are still not in order, it's possible that your operating system browsing window is using a different sort order. I sometimes change windows explorer to sort by file type, and then files are sometimes in what seems be a strange order.

Why have duplicate photos begun to show up in collections on my iPhone 4s using iOS 7
Recently (since I installed OS X Mavericks on my computer, I think) Photos on my iPhone 4s running the latest iOS 7 has been showing duplicate photos in Photos/Collections/Moments, especially for photos taken a month or more ago. Does anyone no why? Is it a bug in some program? I have not had duplicates before (I use the correct settings when sync'ing to avoid duplicates).
I have the same problem with my iPad mini retina and my iPhone 5 probably since iCloud and am using iOS 8.1
a. I will get a series of duplicate photos on a device. I have not identified the event that causes this.
b. I can select to delete one of the duplicates - but not the other - if selected the trash can won't illuminate - so that's a clue that I don't know what to do with.
c. I would gladly delete the one offered but then I get the message " These photos will also be deleted from Photo Stream on all your devices"
d. YIKES what next? I choose not to delete because I don't know if I am going to somehow delete, well, everyone of them.
