Ingenieros, buen dia, estoy en un proyecto y soy algo nuevo con labview, pero aun no resuelvo el como ponerle un contador de desplazamiento en metros a mi robot (osea necesito que registre el avance en metros, si retrocediera que lo reste) con un boton de reinicio de cuenta.
Encontre una forma de incluir la fecha y hora, pero aun me falta incluir los resultados de mi contador, que genera datos numericos.

Para poder realizar un medidor de distancia lo que puedes usar es un contador (la mayoría de las tarjetas multifunción DAQ lo tienen) con un encoder tal que 1 giro del mismo represente una medida conocida o definida por ti, es muy sencillo lo que deseas realizar. Which is best video format for storage of video media files?

Greetings, good folk and happy holidays!
My question involves the conversion of physical video media, DVDs, video files, etc, and storage for use with multiple devices.
Like many of you, I have video in many formats and in multiple places... DVDs, Blu-Ray, AVIs, MP4s, etc. I want to convert them all to a usable format to use in conjunction with my Iphone, Apple TV, IPad, etc. and store in one place in an electronic "library." The problem is that there are countless formats they can be converted to, and not all formats look good on all devices. A video converted to Iphone format will be optimized for the smaller screen and may not look good on the iPad. And iPad converted video might not look good on larger TVs used with Apple TV.
Was wondering if you folks would have opinons as to the best codecs, format and specs to convert video to that would look good on any device from iPhone to an iPad to a TV with Apple TV.
I'm not expecting Blu-Ray quality sharpness with a universal format when used with Apple TV, but something reasonable without artifacts would look fine.
I'm using IM Too Video Converter Ultimate which has presets for many difference devices, but not sure which options will work best.
Anyone else dealing with this?

In need of a flash/html5/quicktime audio/video media player for a website

Hello everybody,
I'm looking to get some kind of audio/video media player for a website. I would like it to be customizable, and also most likely read a play list from some kind of text file or xml file.
Normally, I would look for some kind of flash media player, but recently the site might be read from Apple mobile devices also, which of course not flash which might be a problem, so I'm also looking into other options such as some kind of QuickTime media player web application or even html5 player.
I do not personally know how to code in flash or HTML 5, so I would be willing to hire someone to help out.
Is HTML 5 for long enough that it would play on most current browsers? I would imagine that HTML 5 might not work on older browsers–is this correct?
I don't know of any QuickTime media players - any links to get me started?
Does anyone know some solutions to this flash / apple issue?

Looks like you are getting a very good lesson in why Flash is the best choice for a Web media player.... plentilful, easily customizable, and is a "right now" solution. Good luck on getting your viewers to download and install the codex need to play an Ogg video!
To add the extra accessabilty for the iPhone etc, use swfobject to provide an alternative video file type... the .mov
Here is an example of a Flash video that plays on the iPhone (well sort of..):

Using swfobject for Flash detection, if the Web browser has the Flash plugin, the Flash .flv video is displayed, if not, the QT, .mov version is displayed.

If the Web browser does not have the Flash plugin, alternate content is displayed, which in this case happens to be a QT player, which displays a .mov video. In this case it's just a single video. Now maybe you have a QT player with playlist... but let me tell you.. they are a lot rarer than Flash media players with playlists, xml playlist, etc.... Strong case for Flash here..
But your alt content could just as easily hold a QT media player (with playlist) if such an animal exists.

Elements 10 - How do I get video media imported into the timeline to be visible?

When any video media is imported into Premiere elements 10 I get a white screen (i.e. no video) and only the audio plays. It does not matter if the files are Mpeg4 or mts. I have routinely used Elements 9, 10 & 11. This is a new 64bit machine and this is the only time this has occurred.

Trouble with video media

I've had a lot of problems for about a week viewing Youtube type video media. I'm not sophisticated enough to know what this type is called, but I just get a blank white or black space where the video should be. My computer is totally up to date, and this has never been a problem before. Any suggestions?

Reinstall Flash, which is what runs Youtube video.

Dear Experts, I am facing facing an issue with lookup transformer in B2B DT, seeking your advice to fix the issue: Sub: Lookup transformer is returning NULL inside Repeating group. I have created variable of SILICON_TYPE of type cde:lookuptable and set up one lookup transformer LKP_SILICON_TYPE. When I am referring to that lookup table in repeating group and trying to pass output to one of the data holder, it is returning NULL. However when I am running it solely outside repeating group for any specific key value it is working find as expected. In repeating group, I am using Map action to map return value of Lookup table to map with output data holder along with other Map actions. Saving captured video media

Hello all,
I need to save every 2 minutes of video media stream from my web cam. it means that 6 minutes of video stream has to be saved into 3 files, every 2 minutes long. I'm trying to perform this using processor and datasink, but something is wrong. The first created file has got size greater than 0, but the other ones have size equal 0. What is also strange, that when I open the file that contains some data, my windows player is able to play it, but on the end of media It gives me an error, that it can not go back to the beginning of the media file.
Do I have to create my processor every time that I want to create new file?
I'm looking forward for your answers and hints.

Thanks for the reply Bill, but I have tried using the in/out points to capture. I've noticed something since, though. I'll hit the record button and Premiere will say it's playing back on the hardware but it doesn't give me the amount of storage I have left. If I keep trying to record though, eventually it does, and I get a successful capture.

How can I get video media .MOD into Premiere El. 9?

Videos from my Canon 7d camera and from my Canon ADCHD camcorder (both SD cards) are .MOD files. I open Premiere Elements 9 and click GET MEDIA and it won't recognize the files. It says it cannot open the videos because:
"your system does not have the required compression/decompression codec installed."
When I bought this software a service rep assured me that it would take .MOD files. Why weren't these codecs installed with the program? How can I get these videos to work with Premiere Elements 9?

First, I apologize - I meant .MOV files, not .MOD files. I did download the Quick Time update. Then other problems arose:
Per an e-mail from a forum member, I downloaded an update of QuickTime, which should let me open .MOV files.
Inserted an SD memory card from my Canon camcorder. I selected FLASH, ADCHD... Then GET MEDIA.
Thumbnails appeared labeled MOV001.MOD and ascending numerical order. Then Premiere stopped working and a message appeared:
There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive\device\Harddisk1\DR1
So I must have picked the wrong device category?
I couldn't close the error message or the software so used the Task Manager to get out of it.
After a couple more tries I gave up.
Then I tried my DSLR Canon 7d CF memory card. Selected NEW FILE. Clicked on "edit settings" and chose DSLR > GET MEDIA. The downloader began. Up came another message.
Download failed because the files are TOO LARGE.
These are CR2 (RAW) PHOTOS. Do I have to change the format to .jpg or .psd in Photoshop Elements first?
Any suggestions?

Music Videos [Media Kind] is not playable on iOS 5.0.1 update

Well, my cousin and I just recently updated our iDevices (iPod Touch 4th Gen for me and iPhone 4 for him) to iOS 5.0.1 and we got this very annoying bug. The Media Kind: Music Video is not playing in our devices. We tried bringing this to nearest MAC Store and they advised us that it is a known issue to the new iOS 5.0 update. Well I already reported this to Apple but they havent replied to me yet as to confirm if this is a known issue with iOS 5 or bug iTunes media conversion. Hope to hear any feedbacks from them regarding this

If this was an iOS bug there'd be howls of pain all over the internet, which is not the case. Likely your iOS 5.0.1 installation went awry, so try the usual steps:
Power OFF/ON
Reset
Restore from Backup
Restore, then load last backup
Restore as a new device (i.e. don't load a backup)
One of those will surely correct the problem. If not, time to contact your carrier to see if something got tweaked with your account.

Stream DeMuxed Video Media Pending Issue

I'm extracting portions of a client's DVD video for re-use in another of this client's project.
Initially, I used DVD Decrypter to create a VOB of the chapter he requested, renamed it to MPEG and plays properly in Windows Media Player Classic.
Imported that into Premiere CS3 and it did nothing but Media Pending for hours.
The next day, I re ripped the same chapter with stream decoding. I made separate .m2v file for video and an .ac3 stream, which I converted to wav with HeadAC3.
I figured this time it would work. But alas, I loaded it into CS3, waited with hope as it 'indexed' video file, and then sat there in dismay as Media Pending screens stared back at me.
Upon looking at the properties of the video file, Premiere thinks it's 1 second in length, when in reality it is over 26 mins in length.
Just as a sanity check, I went to another workstation that also runs CS3 and copied the video clip there. But the results were the same after "indexing" process finished.
Is it my wrong assumption that Premiere can handle MPEG2 video? I was under the (apparently false) assumption that it could.

In the interim, I found Super© a universal converter program that converts anything to anything else. I converted the video clip to DV AVI and am all set now. Since the clip was a local 1969 television interview, the quality was not good enough to suffer visible deterioration because of the DV color sampling, so it was suitable in this case.
I did not notice anything on the Virtual Dub web site other than some FX filters they were offering, and did not know there was a hacked version floating around. But generally we don't run 'hacked' software or software whose origins don't trace to a secure, trusted producer on our commercial production machines, so I wasn't inclined to go much further with digging into the VD tools.

Video media cache files

Lightroom is using up a chunk of C drive storing media cache files for some video clips that I have in with the rest of my media. As of now, I don't have any plans to use lightroom to edit video clips. Is there any way to have lightroom ignore video files and prevent it from generating all these video cache files?

You can easily delete the media cache files using normal OS delete command. Any video file already in Lr catalog are easily removed. Remember to use the 'Remove form Catalog' option not 'Delete form Disk'. In future, the video files can be unchecked in Import window. This prevents them from being imported into Lr. However, you'll need to copy them to your hard disk manually if on a flash card.

I am facing a problem with some flash websites even though I use a browser with an inbuilt flash capability
Even last night when I open this website and want to play some videos the player I'm the iphone 5s would only open some of them and that also extremely slowly.
Now I have downloaded a new media player called xtreme or something and when I tried to open the website I faced the same issues.
How do I make my new media player my default player do that it works with all websites that have video as we'll

No. The default browser with the iPhone is Safari which cannot be changed to another browser when selecting a link in a received email or text message, etc.
If the Exteme Media Player does not support website streaming, thay wouldn't be available as a default regardless even if such an option were available with the iPhone. Flash content is streamed, and not directly by the iPhone. A 3rd party browser that supports viewing Flash content is converting the stream to a compatible/open standard format at a server for the browser to be viewed on the iPhone. That is why it is slow and not always available.
