Datsource 0FI_GL_10 in SAP R/3 4.7

Hi guys... i need to activate the new functionality for general ledgers but there's a problem i didn't find the datasource 0FI_GL_10 that is the central datasource for this.... i have found this information about, "Available from OLTP Release ECC 5.00" but i'm not sure about what means....i have a SAP r/3 4.7 anf BW 3.5...

Thanks for the answer. I have a similar problem like Oscars. We have to extract the FI-GL data for consolidation in SEM-BCS. We couldn't find the Data source in R/3 4.7.
We read that FI_GL_10 is only used in ECC 5.0. So we started using FI_GL_2 ( We need something known as Transaction Type / Movement type) which is only in this Data Source. We couldn't use the inforsource recommended by u(0FI_GL_6 ) as it doesn't contain the movement type field.
FI_GL_2 is also not serving our purpose as it is meant for Special Ledger.
Need your suggestion

I have replicated the data source 0fi_gl_10 into sap bw but while creating info package i am getting error " The DataSource 0FI_GL_10(E01CLNT200) does not exist in object version A". IS the manual activation always should be done for that ?

Hi,
Please check if the veriosn of DataSource is A or not. Sometimes it shows as active but if you open the datasource then it might be in modified version only. Do activate it manually, it will serve your purpose to create a infopackge.

Extraction fo data for SEM 6 from ECC6

Hi Gurus,
We are working on to set up SEM 6.0 with ECC6 as the transactioanl system.
Please could you help solving the following doubts in this regard: -
1) Is this true that in order to get consolidation relevant fields (like Trading partner, Partner profit center
etc.) we should use DS 0SEM_BCS_10 and not DS 0FI_GL_10? SAP Note 852971 suggests as follows: -
'.......The DataSource 0FI_GL_10 is available in the BI business content for the extraction of data of the leading ledger from the new general ledger accounting to BW. However, only one part of the transferred fields can be updated by the structure of the data flow saved in the BI content. This is due to technical constraints during the update into an ODS object. The partner fields that are relevant for consolidation are not updated in the InfoProvider 0FI_GL_10 and, therefore, you cannot use it as the "staging" InfoProvider for SEM-BCS.
SAP delivers the DataSource 0SEM_BCS_10 for the data collection of the leading ledger from the new general ledger into the consolidation. This allows you to set up another data transfer branch to SEM-BCS without affecting the data transfer to the InfoProvider of the new general ledger......'
What is not clear from above is whether we need to use both the data sources or we can manage with 0SEM_BCS_10.
2) Is the BI content statging cube for BCS 0FI_GL_10?
3) I believe that we need to create some other data sources to load data from non-leading ledgers. Are we going to load data from non-leading ledgers to the same staging cube in BW (0FI_GL_C10)? If yes how the data will be differentiated? There could be various sets of data in the same inforprovider for each parallel ledger.
Please advise.

1. We use 0SEM_BCS_10. It clear said in notes that 0FI_GL_10 is not useful.
2. No, AFAIK, it's a custom cube.
3. If you use the flex GL why you are going to use non-leading ledger.

M Version does not Match A version datasource

I am using 0FI_GL_12.
Requirement is to run the delta every 2 hours.
I want to know if there is any time limit contraint between 2 delta loads.
can be there any issue if I start loading delta every 2 hours for this datasource.

0FI_GL_12 is replacement of 0FI_GL_10
your SAP should be ECC 6.0
There are certain modifications you need to do in R/3 side then only you can see 0FI_GL_12 in business content datasources.
Changes are mentioned in SAP notes.
Also you need to write start routine for calculation of key figure 0BALANCE as this datasource does not contain 0BALANCE values
and they are always calculated in BI in start routine which is also provided in SAP Note:

Error while executing Initialize with Data Transfer for 0FI_GL_10

Hello All,
Post Pre prod refresh, our timestamp for the datasource 0FI_GL_10 got reset. Due to which our deltas did not bring any records to the BW system.
First we did an Initialize without data transfer for all the BW related datasources. The deltas were then set properly for all datasources except 0FI_GL_10.
We then raised a message to SAP and they suggested to run the 'Initialize with data transfer' for 0FI_GL_10 so that the timestamp is set and accordingly the deltas are fixed.
The issue now is we are getting the following error message while running INIT with data transfer.
Job terminated in source system --> Request set to red
Message no. RSM078
We have copied the data till July 1st week of 2011.
Please advice. The issue is very critical.

Inconsistencies data between ODS and RSA3 in SAP system (delta problem??)

I have a problem in my SAP BW production system. There is inconsistencies data between ODS (using tcode LISTCUBE) and Datasource in SAP system (tcode RSA3).
I'm using Datasource: 0FI_GL_10 and ODS: 0FIGL_O10.
In SAP system (using RSA3):
GL Account: 1202012091
Comp Code : 5400
Bus Area: 5401
Fiscal Year :2008
Period: 07
Accum Balance : $0
Credit Total: $350
Debit Total: $350
Sales : $0
And in ODS (using ListCube):
GL Account: 1202012091
Comp Code : 5400
Bus Area: 5401
Fiscal Year :2008
Period: 07
0BALANCE : $350 (it should be $0,shouldn't it? )
0CREDIT: $0 (it should be $350,shouldn't it? )
0DEBIT: $350
0SALES: $350 (it should be $0,shouldn't it?)
I have tried these :
1. Check if there is a start routine / routine or not in transfer or update rules....and...i get nothing
2. Check the data using tcode FBL3N..but the data is ok
And then i tried to trace the process chain and find error on delta infopackage which pull these data

07.30.2008 : 231141 records --> error (ODS activation) --> request has deleted forever
07.31.2008 : 2848 records --> error (ODS activation) --> request has deleted forever
08.01.2008 : 135679 records --> error (ODS activation) --> request has deleted forever
08.02.2008 : 135679 records --> successfull repeat delta action
From 30 July until 1 August there is an error on delta infopackage because
fail to activate ODS (No SID found for value 'RIM' of characteristic 0UNIT). On 2 August someone delete the red requests and repeat the delta and success. Is there any possibilities that this problem arise because of this? If this the cause, how to bring back 2848 and 231141 records which has deleted?

I have solved my problem. I executed my infopackage again (selection condition using GL Account which have wrong amount) with update mode 'Full update' and choose Scheduler > Repair Full Request and tick the checkbox.Thank you.

Standard R3 report in SAP BW

Dear all,
I need to design the standard R3 report T code: S_ALR_87012284 financial statements in SAP BW in a bit customized way.
I am bit confused about which base tables are being used in the report . Would any body suggest on this ?
Also this standard report, isnt it a cumulative one? that is it always shows total of all reporting fiscals?
Are the reporting fiscals = 16 in this report.
Requirement is to design the report for each fiscal period.
I have used 0fi_gl_1 extractor but I am not able to get the desired result. i thought base table should be GLT0.

SAP R/3 report for Financial Profitability Statements can be Prepared on Virtual Info cube inside BW system.this report is giving you information about total income ,total expenditure, total profit/loss,investment,sales incomes etc...
BW Objects:
The cube name -
0FIGL_V10 : Virtual info cube- G/L (New): Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss
To get the data in virtual info cube you have to activate and load another
info cube :
0FIGL_C10 - General Ledger (New): Transaction Figures
Data source Name: 0FI_GL_10- General Ledger: Leading Ledger Balances.
ECC:
you can use the T-Code as you mentioned or Also you can use - F.01 to see the finance statements./Also OB58.
Reporting periods - you can select from 1 to 12 or 1 to 16. Because 4 special periods are there in one assessment Year. Also you have to fill financial statement version compulsorily.

Question1: The DSO 0FIGL_O14 does not feed the cube. Any particular reason for that?
So If I want line item reporting my best solution will be RRI? Correct!!
Question2: SAP recommended dataflow for new GL uses virtual cube 0FIGL_V10. Why do we need it or what reporting needs it satisfies?

U already have GL totals available at 0FIGL_C10 and then no point in loading line items (O14) again to cube.
Yes.. Best approach for line item reports is RRI i.e. from 0FIGL_C10 to O14.

SAP delivered function module RS_BCT_FIGL_DATA_GET_VC10 pulls data from 0FIGL_C10 to load 0FIGL_V10... Logic for cumulative balances considering carry forward balances from previous year for Balance sheet & P/L reports, is maintained in that function module.
(So, make sure this FM got installed while u installed standard content for GL model
Do the following, to see weather FM got installed.
Goto change mode of virtual provider (ZFIGL_V10). click information icon (blue 'i')
click 'Type/ Namespace'.. Then click 'details' button
If there is no FM, u won't get any data to 0FIGL_V10 and related queries.
And also 0FIGL_V10 uses Financial Statement Version object (0GLACCEXT), which is not available in 0FIGL_C10.
For Balance sheet & P/L reports, 0GLACCEXT is key object, so 0FIGL_VC10 is must.
U should install & load master (attr, hier, text) data for 0GLACCEXT.

SAP CRM Extracts BP, IBASE and Contracts to flat files

Hi,
We want to download SAP CRM (5.0) data to flat files (every month). The datasets are rather large (1mln per object) and we have identified different approaches to do this:
- Using an ABAP report with BAPI's
- Using an ABAP report with direct selections
Now performance might become an issue so direct selections seems the way to go.
Are there any other means of downloading the data from SAP CRM to flat files, maybe use an BW adapter?
Any ideas are welcome!

My DataSet is generated dynamically, so I do not know how many columns my Dataset will contain.
In the beginning there are 3 TableCells declared in my program. Sorting with those TableCell is possible, but when I try to sort the other ones, it gives me an error:

How to install 0FI_GL_10 in OLTP system

Hi! Tell me please how can I install 0FI_GL_10 in OLTP system (for next replication to BW system). Do I need install it from BI Content, that is do I need install BI Content in OLTP system at first?

Hi! I run RSA9. I got message "The application component hierarchy was transfered from the Content". But the folder "SAP" in "Source Systems" stays empty: no any subfolders and source systems in it. When I try to open folder "SAP" I get message "No entry for BW_USER in table RSAMIN available".
The folder "BI" exists in Source Systems but with strange content: something called "Sender", when I click twice on it I see "NODESNOTCONNECTED" and different data sources in it, for example, "Aggregated Status for Area of Responsability"... "Planning Calendar" ... etc
Please else any ideas?

Dear Friend, pls tell me how to do the enhancement to 2LIS_04_P_MATNR datsource?.
1.I want to add batch, that is there in communication structure with name MCAFPO CHARG Batch and I'm trying to add from Right to Left it is adding but giving error:

Diagnosis
Changing extraction structure MC04P_0MAT for application 04 is forbidden, because there are entries that have not yet been processed into an extraction queue for application 04 for at least one client.
If an extraction structure is changed to the entries that are still open in an extraction queue, then these are no longer able to be read and can cause terminations with the collective update.
Procedure
Start the collective update using the function "Job Control" in the Logistics Extraction Structures Customizing Cockpit.
To get an overview of the logistics extraction queues, see the Logistics Queue Overview.
I delete all Q's and there is no data in SMQ1/LBWQ and RSA7 also, I did V3 job and extracted to BW and deleted set tables also and tried, but still it is giving the above error.
