Hi BW Experts,
I just want to identify the corresponding info object for this datasource.

Can anyone tell me how to find the corresponding info Objects for this datasource.

I'm not sure about the /CRM part, but in BI you might want to try 0CODEC.

We can't do mapping of all objects to fields with the definition......!!!

Hi,
There are two ways to know the corresponding info objects in R/3 fields:
1) goto se11 t-code, enter RSOSFIELDMAP and enter display button. in the next screen click contents and give the field name or info object name as per your requirement, and excute.
2) first go through the field description in r/3 and identify the similar description in BI. For your easy understanding use excel sheet , in that you can copy the data source fields and target info objects ( master data or transaction data ). then it will be easy to identify the similar description.

Need to find the dependent object details for an object.

Hi,
Is there any query to find the dependent object details for any object. Like if mview is built on a table, then i should be able to find the table name with out checking code of the mview. Thanks in-advance for your support. similar way for view and functions or procedures etc...

Thanks a lot for your inputs. seems i have not given full details in my post. I need to have a SQL Query to find the dependent object details not DDL.
if i give a metriealized view name, i should get the base table names directly not DDLs...
if i give index name i should get its corresponding table name(off course i got this already)...
if i give a function name, i should get all the tables which are being in the function...etc...
i am looking for a script which will cover all the aspects.....i hope i have given now enough information for this....

Not sure what I did, I need to find previous info on partitioned drive

I had 2 external hard drives. I had the smaller one full, but I had just recently purchased a TB, I have both plugged into my Imac. I had some photos and so forth on my TB drive from my other PC. I plugged it and did a partition. I was told at the store I purchased my apple from that I did not have to remove anything from it.
Well the question is, How do I find the information on the Hard drive now. I click on it and it only shows backed up information. Or did I really mess up things bad and delete them when I partitioned it. I am very new to apple and am learning slowly. This has me stumped and cant figure out what I did. I look back on time machine and believe that time machine was activated after drive was partitioned. Does apple have a number to call for support? Just for future reference,

Hi Janice
If you partitioned it correctly the 10.5 Disk Utility will save the existing data on the first partition and only the first partition, anything else and all the existing data will be erased.
Question, when the External HD is mounted do you see two icons on the Desktop, in Finder and Disk Utility?

Go to RSA1 and Go to Business Content Tab->In Object Type->Infoobject and Search there and transfer that and install.

To find the BW fields for the corresponding R/3 fields on the BW side use the table RSOSFIELDMAP and also use the table RSOLTPSOURCE.

If you are unable to find any info object then create, Zobject based on KNUMV Field properties of KNOV table.

Authorization for info object

i have doubt in authorization. i created authorization object in rrsm, i created roles in pfcg and i need to enter my info object for this authorization, but i am unable to fing my info object in pfcg . how can i get this one. and when i want save my report in roles, can i create roles first and save that report in that role. ple give me clarification

i went pfcg , i created some role, some name like zrole, but i didnt find that role name when i was saving my querry in rrmx screen.

next RRSM create object and can i select radio button for object or cube. and move ur info object
in PFCG create rols and go to authorizations and give manually ur authorization object in (chnage authorization data) and i need create user and assign this user to my role. when i have seen with new use i am getting all bw liek normal when i open bw screen, i didnt find my only object in the new user.
in PFCG menu tab is red that is no problem .

Info-objects of an Info-provider under one Transport request

Hi All,
I am in the process of transporting the Objects from development to QA environment,
As a first step in the transport process, i need to transport the info-objects before transporting other info-providers, transformations etc,
i have several info-providers like BBP_PO, SC, SCA etc, which inturn has more than 100 info-objects that needs to be put under seperate transports.
Say i have info-provider ZBBP_SCA which has 50 info-objects, i need to put those 50 Info-objects in one transport request and then info-provider ZBBP_SCA in another transport request and then its transformations etc.
Can anyone tell me the steps of only collecting the necessary info-objects of ZBBP_SCA alone to be put under one transport.
I tried to do that, but it is collecting all the info-objects, info-areas related to ZBBP_SCA, instead of collecting only necessary objects of ZBBP_SCA.
I will assign points for sure

Hi pooja,
So your intention is not to include anything other than target in second request.
For this right click over the object from where you dont intend to transport and say donot transport any below in transport connection.
The reason for target also showing the info objects and so on is that they are all necessary to form this cube definition.
Anhyhow, as you have ensured to collect them seperately go ahead with the approach mentioned above.

To switch on the Navigational attribute feature in the info object

Hi there,
I have a sceanario where I created an info-object to extract the KNKK table information.
I am using the datasource 0fi_ar_9 to do flexible update to this info-object.
The issue is that: I am adding the required infoobects as attributes to this infoobject.
I want to switch on these attributes as navigational attributes.
But to some of them I am getting the option to switch it on as Nav and not all. Like 0C_CTR_AREA has got the icon Navigational attr on/off. Also 0CRED_GROUP has got this icon across it.
But objects like
0LST_INT_RV -Last Internal Review
0LST_REVIEW -Last Review (external)
0REPR_GROUP -Credit management representatives group
0NXT_REVIEW-Next Review
do not have the Navigational attribute on/off icon across them. So I am unable to change them to Nav.
Any advise why is the behaviour different for different objects ?

Just wanted to know what is the advantage of creating infoobjects as reference charateristics of standard infoobjects.

Create new or use existing info object ? How to decide ?

I have this question.
I enhanced the data source with a field user ID, now I am mapping it in the transfer rules in bw. When I searched in the system (ctrl F in infobjects of RSA1) I could find related info objects but they are currently being used in several places.
Can I use the existing one or do I have to create new info object ? How can I decide this ?

Hi,
it just depends on the content of the 0USERNAME or 0USER_NAME depending on use. Usually these Infoobjects contain the source system user name (login name) for example the entries maintained in SU01 of the SAP R3 system.
If your extractor delivers the same entry, feel free to use it. If it is another kind of username (i.e. external system, database user etc.) it may be usefull to define a new object. But if you define your own ZUSERNAME Infoobject remember to provide loads for the Text and attribute fields (if required). This is for free, if you can use available infoobject which are already maintained by earlier projects.

Have you activated the infoobjects from business content along with their infoobject catlogs? If you do not activate the infoobject's catlogs then it may not be possible to see the infoobjects in RSA1. If you check in RSD1 can you find active versions of the Infoobjects?

Check in the where used list.....arrows next to your transport icon. In the where used list if any HR related infoproviders appear you can deduce they are HR related infoobjects
