Daughter's Ipod touch 5 connected my pc has downloaded Iphone data

My daughter's new Ipod touch 5 has just been connected to my home PC and has downloaded my work iphone data, which is backed up on this PC. How do i reset her ipod so she can start again and then share only music with her?

Go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings and set the iPod up as her own.

I have a 3rd gen ipod touch and all of a sudden the internet stopped working on it. Its still connected to the wi-fi and all other computers and my iphone are all working ok. Have tried resetting everything, powering off the touch, reset network settings etc but no joy.. Any ideas?

You have dine some great troubleshooting so far and you are on the right track I would look at a restore now but not from the backup. I would try as a new device... This is to see if it is a software or hardware issue...

If You Are Locked Out Or Have Forgotten Your Passcode or Just Need to Restore Your Device
1. iTunes 10 for Mac- Update and restore software on iPod, iPhone, or iPad
2. iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
3. iOS- Understanding passcodes
     If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
     below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
     simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
     same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.

If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. I havent touched my Iphone 4s in ages (about a month). I came back to it the other day. I forgot the password, so naturally it disabled it and is telling me to connect to iTunes. Sounds like a case of entering an incorrect passcode over and over. Only fix is to follow the instructions in that article you reference, HT1212, and it may take a couple tries to get it to work right.

Sure, as soon as you open iTunes with the new iPod connected, it will have a "Welcome to your New iPod" screen. Just choose Restore from backup.

That has nothing to do with an update server. Do the following:
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Password protect your WiFi connection (really should be anyway). She will need to know the password to log in.

IPod touch problems connecting

My daughter's iPod touch is having problems connecting to our home wifi. I have updated the software (as much as it will allow), reset the network settings, tried turning off then on the router. The network is recognized, I can put in the pass code, the signal strength is full, but the timer keeps spinning (cannot get the check mark). Does anyone have any more suggestions? All other devices in the house are working fine.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks?
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

She said she was trying to duplicate an app or something, and all the the apps started shaking like when you delete them. I turned the iPod off, but it never turned back on completely. 3 If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
4 Try on another computer
