Day 6 without TV service

We just had FiOS installed on September 19th. The internet side of the service has been great. Unfortunately, the TV side failed 9 days later on the 19th with a "channels unavailable" message on every channel. I went through the troubleshooting steps but nothing worked so I called tech support.
He decided our DVR had failed as a network problem didn't exist. The new DVR arrived on the 1st but wouldn't activate. I called tech support again and they scheduled a technician to come out on the 2nd (a Sunday, I was impressed). The tech spent several hours and was unable to fix the problem. He said that no video was coming into our ONT (why phone tech support couldn't determine that is another question). He escalated the problem.
At 7pm that same evening, I received a text that our ticket was closed. I checked the DVR and it was still not working. I called tech support again and inquired as to why the ticket had been closed. He investigated and told me they had buried a cable that was lying on the ground and assumed that was the problem and closed the ticket without verifying with me that the problem was resolved. Now, yet another tech is scheduled to come out today (with an oh, so precise 12 hour arrival window).
Although both the phone and field techs I have interacted with have been polite and appear to be working hard to solve the problem, I am no closer to a solution than I was back on the 28th. Based on what yesterday's field tech told me we never should have wasted 3 days waiting for a new DVR when they should have been able to determine that wasn't the problem. Now I know that video isn't entering the ONT but nobody seems to kwow why this is (the internet connection is fine).
Apologies for the length but though I am a patient woman my frustration level is rising.

Do you have the ability to take the DVR and a TV out to the ONT and plug DVR directly into the ONT (disconnecting the cable feeding the house temporarily)? If so, give that a whirl and see if you get a signal or not.
If there's no signal, then it's definitely something upstream in Verizon that only the tech can diagnose and eventually get fixed.
If however you get a signal, then check to make sure the the tech who installed your service disconnected any other feeds (such as a prior cable provider or satellite) from the coax and make sure you don't have any filters or amplifiers in the connection anywhere.
This might not solve your problem but will give you a good indication if it's something "inside" your home which is the issue or completely outside and thus nothing you can resolve other than press the tech to find and fix the problem.

Log into your account at the providers web mail page and look for any retention options that might be there. Do not put too much into what their help desk tells you. Most help desk agents are lucky to know that the ringing sound means to answer the phone.

You can't buy a new iPhone in the US without a plan. Even if you could buy one, it would not work (even as an iPod) until activated with a cell phone provider. You would have to buy a used iPhone that had been activated. Be sure to get a US model (or one for your country if you aren't in the US). Check the part numbers in the right column of

An officially unlocked one from one of the countries that sell them would also be OK, but any repair would have to be done in its original country. It would have to have been activated in some country, also.

I purchased an iPhone 4s on Nov. 20th. I immediately had to update the software to ios 6.0.1. I cannot even get through 1 day without the phone battery losing all power. It loses 10-20% per hour, and that's with apps closed, wifi off, bluetooth off, screen dark, updates current, etc. You can hold the phone in your hand and watch the power go down. It also gets very warm. I have to charge it once or twice a day so I have it when I need it.
I took it in to the Sprint store for diagnostics to see if there was something wrong with the phone. This is my first iPhone and I am very frustrated and disappointed in Apple. If it's the software, I would think they would be frantically trying to fix it. This phone was not the cheapest phone, so the battery life should be better!

The warranty says that Apple may restrict service of an iPhone to the country of sale, and any reliable salesperson will tell you that if you tell them that you plan to use the iPhone in another country. Such service restrictions are common with cellphones and are by no means limited to Apple's phones.
Sorry, but if your iPhone requires service, you will need to send it to someone you know in the US who can get it serviced and then send it back to you.

Can i use my iphone 4s to play games, surf internet and such without phone service? It says i need a sim insertwed to activate it.

recieved phone from a friend. I believe it to be a iphone 4s. I dont know from which carrier it originated CDMA or GSM.Turns on and begins setup. I enter my language and location , it begins to search for a wifi signal which is present then it says insert a valid sim card and it wont go any further than that. You need a sim to activate an iPhone. The sim does not have to associated
with an active account; however, if the iPhone is locked to a wireless provider,
the sim must be from that wireless provider. Borrow an appropriate sim from
a friend/relative/co-worker for the few moments it will take to activate the iPhone.
You will need a sim in the iPhone to reactivate whenever you restore the iPhone
or update the iOS.
Call Apple to find the origin of the iPhone. You will need the serial number from
the back of the iPhone. Or ask your friend - he should know the details about an

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

Running Distributed Transactions in RAC without DTP service.

We just switched over to our standby database this morning which we had setup to facilitate our ASM migration. The switchover went smooth and the standby is up and running now as my primary.
This is a 2 node rac on linux itanium 10.2.0.3.
I got the following message in the alert log on both instances and I have never seen this message before in my original clustrer?

I noticed that one oracle database exist on Windows server without oracle service.
Is this possible to create a database without service on windows server?
What would be the next step to create a service for the existing databse.

What computer operating system are you using? If Windows go to:
C:\Users\99jon\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Online Services
Inside the Online Services folder delete the Photoshop Elements 12.0.0 folder.
Re-launch Organizer and OLS should get recreated.
N.B substitute your user name for 99jon. If you can’t find AppData you may first need to enable the showing of hidden system files.
Follow these steps to display hidden files and folders.
Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files and folders, and then click OK.

This forum is for the Oracle Call Interface (OCI) which is a C programming interface to Oracle.
Your question doesn't look to be about that unless I am misreading it.
Perhaps you are looking for the Oracle Data Access Components (ODAC) downloads?
These include client software in addition to the various data access components on Windows.

Yes, the cellular iPads function the same as the regular ones except that they have the cellular antenna. Just be sure to turn off cellular in your settings, right below WiFi and Bluetooth so you don't get charged if it is accidentally used, meaning you won't have WiFi everywhere anymore, unless you want to pay for a monthly plan again
