Unable to check documents in CS using MaxDB
Good Day
Just implemented ECC 6.0 and Content Server using MaxDB 7.8. Think everything is working and locking o.k. (connections, CR, etc.). But I still can't check in any document. Always receive a Message:
Error while checking in and storing:
C:\temp\blabla.pdf
CR is running, also the Database.
Do you have any idea?
Thanks for your Help,
GeorgeHello George,

Hi,
Good day!
SAP: ECC 6.0 (Upgraded from 4.7 EE)
I need your help to gain understanding over SU22. I did a little research on this topic and hit one of the posts which stated that SU22 values are not for customers to edit but for SAP to update. I understand that the SU22 values directly relate to the tables USOBT and USOBX and on executing SU25 the values from these 2 tables are copied over to USOBT_C and USOBX_C which can further be tailored for the customer's requirement using SU24. The profile generator uses the proposals in SU24 to present the relevant authorization objects while creating a role.
QUESTION:
- Are the tables USOBT and USOBX updated by SAP using different support packages in the event of any security related updates?
- If so, should we import the new values updated by the SPs to the customer tables(USOBT_C and USOBX_C) using SU25 and we later edit the new authorization objects in SU24?
-Are only the new values included in the SPs are transferred to the customer tables while we execute SU25 or are all the authorization objects transferred and we end up re-doing the customization in SU24?
Thanks for your time!
Cheers! You are on the right track.
If you read the documentation (and popups) in Su25 then it will be clearer for your doubts. Also see the FAQ thread at the top of the forum.
What I can recommend additionally taking into is the difference between "Original" data and "SAP" data in SU22. It is generally unlikely to find real "Original" data in SU22 on release 4.7 (see the documentation in RZ11 on parameter auth/authorization_trace) but some SAP data was not always "anonymized" and the system interprets this to be from the customer's own trace. Depending on which 4.7 basis SP you are on, you should consider this and fix it before the upgrade.
If you have made use of SU24 to tweak the proposals from SAP, then I also recommend checking the Sticky thread posted by Bernhard Hochreiter.
There are also other tables in addition to USOBT and USOBX - if you want to use the table display route. This is particularly usefull if you want to synchronize your landscape for the settings - something which I can also recommend checking before the upgrade....
After the upgrade procedures, you can also make use of table TCODE_MOD and PRGN_STAT.
> To have an impression, of which/how many t-codes are affected, you can get this information in your system directly, after you have started SU25->step 2a.
--> http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/Security/BestPractices-HowtofindTCodeschangedafterupgraderegarding+SU24-data
The tables have been around for a while already, but are not well known.
Cheers,

GRAC_SPM_LOG_SYNC_UPDATE Job Performance
We are about to Go live with our Super user Auto Provisioning and Firefighter Log reporting in GRC 10.
Right now GRAC_SPM_LOG_SYNC_UPDATE Job runs for more than day in our ECC/PRD system and we have 11 App Servers in the system.
Currently our RTA Plugins are:
ECC/PRD system is GRCPINW V1000_700 0009 SAPK-10309INGRCPINW
SAP GRC NW Plug-in .
In BI we are on GRCPINW V1000_731 0002 SAPK-
10502INGRCPINW SAP GRC NW Plug-in
In APO we are on GRCPINW V1000_700 0005 SAPK-10305INGRCPINW
SAP GRC NW Plug-in
In SRM we are on GRCPINW V1000_700 0005 SAPK-10305INGRCPINW
SAP GRC NW Plug-in
Our GRC Support pack is 17
Why the job is taking so much time to run in ECC/PRD.
In BI/APO/SRM the job runs every hour successfully.
We are running the GRAC_SPM_LOG_SYNC_UPDATE job every hour in ECC also but only one job runs for more than a day and all other jobs fail.Hi Plaban,
Thanks for your reply.
We run the Jobs every hour and the time difference between the jobs is 15 mins the jobs in SRM/APP/BI run for just few seconds only because we have only one app server in each system where as in PRD we have 11 App servers.
I have opened the OSS message waiting for there reply.
May be I am thinking we need to upgrade our RTA in ECC Right now we are at 5 the latest one is 19.

HR Org structure delta changes not replicating to SRM
Dear All,
We recently found out for some unknown reason new HR postions and users and HR org structure re-assignments are not replicating down into our SRM org strucure.
We have implemented SRM 4 on Server 5.5. The HR system is running on ECC4.
Does anybody have an idea what is causing this and how to fix this?
We need to get delta replication working in our production environmemt ASAP.
Thanks in advance.
SheenaHello Sheena,
I was not on the net last days. :o((
ECC 4.0, is that R/3 4.7 ex 2.00?
From your post I assume that you already transferred initial organization structures from HR. Is that correct?
Update will use the same filters and number ranges that you have for initial load. As for attributes, I am checking that also, but do not think that you will loose it.

Hi All,
While applying Leave Request in ESS used(Quota) value is coming 0.25 Days, But in ECC value is 0.50 Days. Please check below screen shots.
Please suggest how to solve this.
Regards,
Venkat.HI Venkat,
In the ESS the start time and end time is been entered so the value is 0.25 , enter the timings(7.30 t0 11.49) in ECC too and check the quota used.
I hope the ESS leave request is just replica of the 2001 infotype so it must behave the same keeping in mind you are checking for the same absence type .

Issue in transfer of data from ECC to APO
Hi All,
I have a requirement of transferring data from ECC to APO. I am using EXIT_SAPLCMAT_001 fro this purpose. The problem is, I need to transfer the data of a field that is not present in cif_matloc but present in /sapapo/matloc.
How should I proceed...Please help....this is an urgent requirement
Thanks & Regards,
SriLalithaHi,
you may want to go to the transaction /SAPAPO/SNP_SFT_PROF
Determine Forecast of Replenishment Lead Time
Use
In this field, you specify how the extended safety stock planning determines
the forecast of the replenishment
lead time (RLT). The following values are available:
Supply Chain
The system determines the RLT forecast using the supply chain structure by
adding the corresponding production, transportation, goods receipt, and goods
issue times. If there are alternative procurement options, the system always
takes the
longest
option into account.
Master Data
The system determines the RLT forecast from the location product master
data.
Master Data/ Supply Chain
First, the system determines the RLT forecast from the location product
master data. If no RLT forecast can be determined, the system determines the
forecast using the supply chain structure (as described under
Supply
Chain
Dependencies
You can retrieve the replenishment lead time forecast yourself by using the
GET_LEADTIME
method of the Business Add-In (BAdI) /SAPAPO/SNP_ADV_SFT.
Replenishment Lead Time in Calendar Days
Number of calendar days needed to obtain the product, including its
components, through in-house
production or external
procurement.
Use
The replenishment lead time (RLT) is used in the enhanced methods of safety
stock planning in Supply Network Planning (SNP). The goal of safety
stock planning is to comply with the specified service level, in order
to be prepared for unforeseen demand that may arise during the replenishment
lead time. The longer the RLT, the higher the planned safety stock level.
Dependencies
The field is taken into account by the system only if you have specified
master data or master data/supply chain in the RLT: Determine
Forecast field of the safety stock planning profile used.
Hope this helps.
The RLT from ECC is in MARC-WZEIT which is transferred to APO in structure /SAPAPO/MATIO field CHKHOR.
May be if you maintain the setting in the profile, you may get the value in RELDT.
Thanks. -
Best practice data source from ECC 6.0 for legal consolidation in BPC NW7.5
Hi there,
after scanning every message in this forum for "data source" I wonder if there isn't any standard approach from SAP to extract consolidation data from ECC 6.0. I have to say that my customer is not using New g/l so far and therefore the great guide "how to get balances from ECC 6.0 ..." does not fully work for us.
Coming from the old world of EC-CS there is the first option to go via the GLT3 table. This option requires clever customization and the need to keep both GLT0 and GLT3 in line. Who has experiences regarding maintenance of these tables in a production environment?
We therefore plan to use data source 0FI_GL_4 which contains all line items to the financial documents posted. Does this approach make sense or will it fail because of performance issues?
Any help is appreciated!
Kind regards,
DierkHi Dierk,
Do you have a need for the level of detail provided by the 0FI_GL_4 extractor? Normally I would recommend going for the basic 0FI_GL_6 extractor, which provides a much more manageable data volume since it only gives the periodic activity and balances as well as a much smaller selection of characteristics. Link: [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/0a/558cabb2e19a4db3097b81bba4fd0e/frameset.htm]
Despite this initial recommendation, every client I've had has eventually had a need for the level of detail provided by the 0FI_GL_4 extractor (or the New G/L equivalent - 0FI_GL_14). Most BW systems can handle the output of the line-item extractors without much issue, but you should test using production data and make sure your system sizing takes into account the load.
The major problem you can run into with the line-item extractors is that if your delta somehow gets compromised it can take a very long time (days, sometimes weeks) to reinitialize and this can cause a large load in your ECC and BW system. Also, for the first transport to production, it is important to plan time to initialize the delta.

Jobs not getting displayed in ECC
Hi
We implemented Redwood 8.0 and scheduled some jobs using that.
The jobs ran successfully in ECC server, but since then there is no jobs that we can view in SM37
All jobs are executing successfully, but there is no log in sm37.
Alos the JOBLOG files are there at OS
Can someone tell what happenned
Thanks and Regards
TusharHi Tushar,
Usually most of the third party Background job scheduler just keeps "header" type information. The job logs history is not retained for x number of days. Please check with your backup team they might provide you a ztable name in which you can look at the history of the background jobs.
SAP_REORG_JOBS and the main report it runs that controls which jobs get rolled off is RSBTCDEL2.
Thanks.

Hello.
We're running a NW6.5.8 machine on a HP Proliant ML350 G3. The server works
well since several years. Three weeks ago the server makes some problems.
After restarting the machine the memory runs low after 3 or for days. I
can't see a reason for this.
Do you have an idea for this?
Here is my config.txt of this machine:

; This is a sample of the slp configuration file.
; Two types of entries can be made: 1) DA entries, 2) SA Register Filters.
; The DA entry allows static configuration of a known DA. This would be
used
; when the DA was out of multicast range and DHCP was not being used to
; configure the DA.
; The static DA configuration format is as follows 'DA <addr type>,
<addr>'.
; The first word must be "DA". The addr type is the address type.
Currently, only
; IPV4 has been defined. IPV6 will be defined in the future. The addr is
; the address specified.
; The following is an example of a static DA.
; DA IPV4, 130.1.1.1
; The SA Register Filter would be used when the administrator wanted all
services
; of a specific service type being mapped to a single scope. For example,
; the administrator wanted all "lpr" printers being registered to scope
"printer".
; The format is as follows: 'REGISTER TYPE "<type name>" to SCOPE "<scope
name>"'.
; The parser will look for REGISTER, TYPE, and SCOPE as keywords followed
by quote on
; a single line. Example:
; REGISTER TYPE "lpr" to SCOPE "eng"
; The last line must contain a line feed and char return. A semi-colon
specifies a
; comment.

; This is a sample of the slp configuration file.
; Two types of entries can be made: 1) DA entries, 2) SA Register Filters.
; The DA entry allows static configuration of a known DA.
A semi-colon
specifies a
; comment.

Is there a way to get Web Dynpro ABAP available in a ECC 5 - NW2004 env?
We will start developing an offline Adobe interactive form with email functionality for ECC 5 on very short terms. We have to decide asap what client/server configuration we will use for this new functionality. We will also develop an online interactive form and an offline form with upload/download functionality for ECC 5. We will have to setup a client/server configuration that supports all 3 scenario's.
The main reason we would like to have NW2004S available for ECC 5 is because we would like to develop the forms in Web Dynpro ABAP instead of Java. Guided Procedures is a "nice to have" too, but not really important at this moment.
At this moment we think we have 3 options:
1. Investigate if we can make an Adobe solution in WDA for ECC 5 with our current setup
2. Upgrade ECC 5 - NW 2004 -> NW 2004S to get WDA functionality available
3. Install ADS for NW 2004 to be able to create Adobe solutions in ECC 5, then we will have to develop in WDJ
1. We have the following configuration up and running: NW2004S - CRM 5 and ADS installed: both Java and ABAP stack work properly. We are wondering if we could develop an Adobe interactive form in Web Dynpro ABAP in CRM 5 using BAPI's to retrieve the data from ECC 5 and put it on the form for display or update purposes. Also we have questions about the email functionality: do forms have to be send by email via a mailserver from ECC 5 via CRM 5 and back or can this be done directly from and to ECC 5 or is it not possible at all? Also we don't know if we can develop an online interactive form for ECC 5 via CRM 5. The current setup is not a real option for us right now as we see far too many uncertainties. Does somebody can give us some answers on the possibilities we are looking for?
2. My assumption is that upgrading ECC5 to ECC6 can be compared with upgrading 46C to ECC5. If my assumption is correct, this would mean an upgrade project with a 6 months leadtime within our company. If my assumption is wrong, please let me know. This upgrade will happen some day, but it has not been planned for 2007. So unfortunately, for us this is not an option at the moment because we cannot wait that long. I was hoping an upgrade of NW2004 -> NW2004s was not that time consuming but I guess this can be compared with a SAP upgrade project like 46C -> ECC 5.
3. Installing Adobe Document Services for NW2004 is not our preferred solution but we think it is the safest/easiest solution at this moment to get started with Adobe interactive forms for ECC 5 on short terms. We will have to develop in Web Dynpro for Java, so be it.
WDA is not a must but if we can find a client/server setup which gives us the possibility to build in WDA for ECC 5 functionality, that would be great. That's why I dropped the question on SDN. I want to be sure we choose the best option possible at this moment for us.
kind regards
AngeliqueYesterday I got new information through SDN which sounds very interesting:
There are technical repository integration points between ECC and the underlying SAP NetWeaver release. To get Web Dynpro for ABAP, you could install a stand-alone SAP NetWeaver 2004s system (without ERP) side-by-side.
Somebody else wrote: we set up a 3-system landscape of NW04s and have configured single sign on and trusted RFC's so that users can hit the webdynpro pages via the portal, and those systems make the necessary queries to the backend systems via RFC.
Does somebody know if this stand-alone system could be a proper solution for our situation? Does somebody foresee any problems related to Adobe LiveCycleDesigner or ADS? -
Vendor spend analysis report from ECC as source system
Hi Experts,
Currently am working on Functional Specification on a BI report "Vendor Spend Analysis".The source system is ECC.This report should give details about how much the company has spend on a vendor during a particular period along with payment terms , payment term days .
I have started with Datasource 0FI_AP_4.Please let me know which field(credit or debit field) in the Datasource gives amount spend.I have checked the table EKKO and BSAK .What are the other fields and table i have to take into consideration.Suggest...
Regards,
MeeraHi Experts,
Can anyone tell me the table which stores the data regarding the amount paid to a vendor.
Regards,
Meera -
How to get PO and vendor payment term number of days??
Hi Experts,
I want to have a) Purchase order payment term number of days as well as
b) vendor Payment term number of days.
For a) For Purchase order payment term number of days I am using table EKKO and taking ZBD1T field which is giving payment
term number of days.
Is it correct??
b) vendor Payment term number of days I am using table LFB1 field Zterm to take payment term key not number of days.
Based on this key i will go to table T052 and find corresponding number of days as told MM consultants .
But this is not BW work. We need one single table from which we can take the field or enhance the current extractor
with that field.
So is there any other option for (b)
and Whether steps for (a) is correct???
Please confirm this.
Thanks in Advance,
Uday Shankar. For a) For Purchase order payment term number of days I am using table EKKO and taking ZBD1T field which is giving payment
term number of days.
Is it correct??
Payment terms for purchasing doesn't come delivered as part of the R3/ECC tables and is usually is added as a custom field to EKKO and populated via a User Exit. That looks to be the instance in your case because the field that you show as being the payment terms begins with a Z (custom fields begin with Y or Z). That appears, without being able to actually validate in your R3/ECC environment, to be the correct field to use. You would have to validate, however, with the end customer or your MM function consultant to be 100% certain. If this is the correct one to use, you're going to have to enhance the 2LIS_02_HDR extractor by enhancing the extraction structure and creating the User Exit to read it from EKKO and populate into the DataSource.
b) vendor Payment term number of days I am using table LFB1 field Zterm to take payment term key not number of days.
Based on this key i will go to table T052 and find corresponding number of days as told MM consultants .
But this is not BW work. We need one single table from which we can take the field or enhance the current extractor
with that field.
You can enhance the 2LIS_02_HDR extractor with the Vendor Payment Terms by joining the following in your User Exit:
EKKO-LIFNR = LFB1-LIFNR
EKKO-BUKRS = LFB1-BUKRS
LFB1-ZTERM = T052-ZTERM
This could either be done in a SELECT statement in the User Exit to do this equi join, or you could create a view on your R3/ECC environment and SELECT from that view. -
Absence Quota Accruals from days to hrs
Hi Guys,
I need to change the Absence Quota Accruals process in SAP ERP ECC 6.0 system from Accruing time in days to hours. All necessary configuration changes are to be made in the development system (including Time and Payroll Schema changes for absence quota accrual, year-end transfer of unused balance and payout) and upon approval be transported and tested to the Quality Assurance system and Production. All past historic/archive transactions and records must be changed and reflect the absence quotas in hours.
Pls. let me know the steps for doing the same.
Tnx
SKRGo to the table V_T556A and change days to hours for your quota.
Ccheck the deduction rule attached to the absence(which is related to quota) and change the units to hours.
You may have to run the time evaluation in the update mode from the retro date (past date). But I wouldn't suggest you to run the time eval from the past date untill it is tested regurously in the QA system, because retroing may cause some issues.
