Day light savings not updated, day light savings not updated

I have a G2 Ipod...and it has not updated for the change in time for daylight savings. Yes, I have the correct time zone listed.  Any advice would be appreciated!

Hello Vijay,
I don't think you need to shutdown the system, but note the following :
- Time zones on mainframe can be set on LPAR level only
- It is not possible to set different time zones for different databases running on the same LPAR
- It is required to run database and application servers in the same time zone (see DBA guide)
https://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700000275902011E.PDF
- It is required to have identical time zones for the application servers and SAP system time (see note 198411)
- Time zone can be changed for individual users in SU01 (or by the user
himself)

Since day light savings, events are not saving in my calendar. Has anyone else had this problem?, Since day light savings, events are not saving in my calendar. Has anyone else had this problem?

    Greetings,
I have not heard of that issue although some people have reported events showing an hour earlier / later (though I haven't seen that personally).
    Questions:
What version of the Mac OS are you running (Apple > About this Mac)?
Can you make an event and then it just disappears?
Are you using iCloud / MobileMe / Google / Yahoo / Some other server based calendar?
    Try these in order:
Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Language & Text > Formats > Region. Region should be set to the country of your choice. Do not have it set to "Custom" as this can have unexpected results in the iCal window.
Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Date & Time and make sure the Date and Time are correct and that the correct Time Zone is selected.
If that doesn't resolve the issue:
    1. First make an iCal backup:  Click on each calendar on the left hand side of iCal one at a time highlighting it's name and then going to File Export > Export and saving the resulting calendar file to a logical location for safekeeping.
    2. Go to iCal > Quit iCal
    3. Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
    Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.ical
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache if present)
--- NOTE: To get to "Home > Library" in Lion: Click anywhere on the desktop and then click on the "Go" menu at the top of the computer screen while holding down the "option" key on the keyboard.  You will see "Library" in the menu.
    4. Launch iCal and test.
    If the issue persists:
    1. Go to iCal > Quit iCal
    2. Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
    Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.ical
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache if present)
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove them all.)
--- NOTE: Removing these files may remove any shared (CalDAV) calendars you may have access to. You will have to re-add those calendars to iCal > Preferences > Accounts.
    3. Launch iCal and test.
    Hope that helps.

  • Date Component not to consider Timezone Day Light Savings

    Hi,
when i use a input date component with timestamp .. where my local system timezone is Eastern Standard time (US)
Now i am selecting a date of 10 March 2013 with time 02:00:00 am , but in the text field after the selection, i am getting the date and time as 10 mar 2013 01:00:00
It is moving one hour back because day light saving occurs between 2 am to 3 am during this time of the year.
Same for 11 Mar 2012 02:00:00, day light saving does not occur on one particular day of the year... sometimes its 11 mar , 10 mar, 12 mar.. but everytime between 2 am to 3 am.
Now i am using a zulu standard time for which i have used this date component, i dont want this day light saving to be considered and change the time i enter during day light
saving period, it should give me the time that i have chosen
Is there any component in Jdev where it takes the value which we give or how can we build it where the date component comes with the time and does not change.
    Thanks,

No this is not working, any other way
    I am using jdev 11.1.1.5

  • IPhone time hasn't changed with end of day lights savings?

Hi, has anyone else had trouble with an iPhone not automatically changing with the end of day lights savings last night (Aus time)?  My other devices have changed ok, just not the iPhone.  I have tried syncing and that hasn't worked.  Any suggestions on how to change the time would be appreciated. It is an old iPhone. With thanks,

Thanks. Yes, Date & Time was set to automatically.  However, I have since turned the device off and then back on and that seems to have reset it.  Thanks again.

  • Day Light Savings

This is in response to the Day light savings Bug where by the recurring alarms go off 1 hour before they should. Some people say for a work-around just don't make it recurring or put the alarm an hour back. I think I may have another solution but would like confirmation that it works.
I HAD the problem till i went to every alarm I had set and edited them by changing the alarms to the opposite AM/PM Saved, then went back in and Re-set them back to their correct AM/PM setting (eg. 6:00am changed to 6:00pm SAVE, 6:00pm changed to 6:00am SAVE). That worked for me, can anyone else confirm that fixed the problem?
    Thx

I thought the day light savings / summer time adjustment was set according to your home location? When first powering on the phone, it should ask you where you are (eg london uk) and it will use the rules for that location to adjust the time.
Bit **bleep** if it doesn't.. I can't think of any other good reason for asking where you were other than locale stuff..
Try setting Time zone under date & time settings (settings -> phone -> date & time) which might kill auto updating.. It is such a simple thing to get right, but Nokia does have a history of screwing it up quite badly..
I remember using a nokia 7650 (first s60 phone) and it set the timezone to something impossible.. like GMT+36?!?! crazy times..

  • Day light savings URGENT

I have a flat file with one of the field 'MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS DY' that has to be processed for conversion from cst to gmt.
Did this by loading the table with two columns col1, and col2 having the same field and then doing an update to one of the columns using new_time functions with CST/CDT and GMT.
But how to know when to run CDT and when to run CST. What I mean is what is the logic to get to know the cut of day for daylight saving start and end for each year.
    Please help.

This is a function that will determine if the date provided is within the Daylight Savings Time.
You will have to taylor to meet your requirement, since this only returns a message.
    create or replace function CST_CDT

  • Day light Savings new rules affect SAP installs?

How is the new Daylight Savings rule going to affect / effect SAP?
"In 2007, U.S. Daylight Saving Time (DST) will begin on the second Sunday in March and end on the first Sunday in November.  This change in the schedule -- the first in 20 years -- will make U.S. Daylight Saving Time four weeks longer.  The U.S. Energy Act of 2005 drove this change, which is intended to reduce energy consumption.  While the business risk associated with having our systems reflect the wrong time by one hour for four weeks in 2007 is not as great as Y2K, the extent of the IT impact is not trivial and may impact clients in the U.S, as well as in non-U.S. geographies. "
    Thanks,
    Bhaskar

    Hi Bhaskar,
Daylight Savings Time dates are different all over the world and a change in dates in one country does not directly affect SAP.  There are steps that need to be taken regardless of the exact date that the change falls on each year.  Please see SAP Notes 7417, 950114, 438660, 102088, 398374, 673556, 643844 and others (just search Notes with keywords "Daylight Savings Time").
    Best Regards,

  • ICal meetings off by 1 hour when accepted in Mail since day light savings time

As off the hour adjustment when I accept a meeting using the Mail App they are off by one hour in Calendar.  If I accept the meetings on my iPhone they populate properly.  I have verified my time zone settings, and even have the time zone option enabled.  Searching the forums I see this has been an ongoing issue, but I'm not finding an actual solution to resolve the issue.
Thanks for pointing me to the solution.  I'm using a MacBook Pro with version 10.9.2 and Mail version 7.2 (1874) and Calendar version 7.0 (1841).  There are no updates available when I check.
    Thanks again!

Over the weekend my computer shut down due to battery running out, which I now know dumps all Mail accounts.  Between this issue with the time zone and the loss of my Mail data I have switched to Outlook 2011.  It has been a bit of a pain to re-setup a mail program but my meetings are now making it to my calendar correctly.  Of course outlook and iCal don't play friendly either so I have to drag and drop to get things onto my calendar but at least I'm making it to my meetings at the appropriate times.
Mine time issues were with webex meetings.  Thanks for confirming that it wasn't my system alone.

  • Do I have to manually change my iPhone 4 alarms for day light savings times end?

Will I have to manually change my alarms for daylight savings time ends?  Any help is greatly appreciated.

    I didn't
    my clock changed to wintertime
and my alarms and appointments use timespans so they start at lets say 14:00 no matter if I go to usa and adjust my clock to match their time or if I go to china and adjust my time to match their time

  • Daylight savings all-day events issues in updated iCal for iPad

After purchasing new MBP, Genius Bar told me to update to new iCal. I have noticed that any all-day events taking place on the date that daylight savings begins (3/13/11 i.e.) lasts on iPad's iCal for two days. When I attempt to edit, event still displays for two days. Guessing it is because that day technically lasts for only 23 hours. Genius Bar consultant had no suggestions for a remedy. This error appears for 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 daylight savings beginning dates. The error doesn't seem to be a problem for the MBP or my iPhone.

I've experienced the same problem.  I set up a recurring one day event on the first of each month - come April 1 in 2012 the event is spread over 2 days (the end of daylight savings time in Australia) from April onwards.  I can muck around with the event and have it set at one day from April1 onwards in 2012 but there's a recurring event bug related to daylight savings.  I wonder if any alarms people have set for that day will again experience the problems from the past?

  • Imac Intel will not boot up - 3 days old, light on, starts to spin...

I got an Imac Intel 20" from my husband on mother's day and it now will not turn on!! White light comes on, sounds like it is trying to boot and then nothing... blank screen, no beeps - have unplugged and restarted, tried a million key combination from the forums and still nothing... locked up once on "Garage?" software (according to son)... worked for 2 days...
Very dissapointed and sad... husband looking like the PC is still a better box even after breaking down and getting the Imac - can't help much because this is all new to him...
    Help!

If you bought your imac with a credit card anywhere in your home state(or within 100 miles of your home in another state), then you can return it within 30 days if you are unsatisfied. That is federal law, and a store cannot do anything to deprive you of those rights--no matter what they say (or what they print on the receipt under your signature). My Apple store tried to tell me they only allow returns for 2 weeks. I told them the were violating federal law and they were required to issue a credit for the amount of the return, and they reluctantly complied.
I believe credit card companies are now required to print those rules on your bill (mine does and I don't think it would do so voluntarily), so you can check the fine print on your last bill and read them.
So, if you meet the above requirements, take your imac back . Insist on a refund. Be firm. If the retail person won't do it, tell them you want to speak to a manager. Once they credit your account, walk up to another retail person and tell them you want to buy a 20" imac.
If the retailer won't credit your account, then call your credit card company, and tell them you tried to return a defective product within the 30 day limit that you bought in your home state, and you would like them to reverse the charges.

    Lao Bo,
yes, you can locate and copy a file from your HD to a USB key using UNIX commands. If you know the exact name of the file which you’re trying to locate, try this:
    find / -iname filename -print
This command will search your entire internal disk for the particular filename. If you know that it’s within a particular user account, then you can save search time with this variation:
    find /Users/username -iname filename -print
Either variation of this command will print all files found which have the given filename. Presuming that you’re able to identify the correct file, you can copy it to a USB key using the command
    cp -p filename_returned_by_find /Volumes/USB_volume
If you’re not sure which volume name your USB key has, this command will show you what the possibilities are:
    ls /Volumes
Please let me know if you have any trouble with these commands.

So, I'm working today and all day Sunday to make up for the down time using LR 6.
I don't know if the bug exists in the program or the "Creative Cloud.
Question: Does anyone know why if I bought Light Room 6 [NOT Light Room CC with the monthly rental], I have to enter my serial number if I want to use it?

Entering the serial number is probably part of the registration process.
Just out of curiosity, what were you doing on LR6 when the folder of images became corrupted?
