Day one edition pre orders

When will the day one edition for Sunset Overdirve and Forza Horizon 2  Be available for pre orders?

Both Sunset Overdrive and Forza Horizon 2 look like great games and are currently available for pre-order. I see it doesn’t indicate it in the description yet, but the versions we currently have listed are the Day One Editions, however it is just the Xbox One version for Forza Horizon 2. We’re in the process of updating them to call out that they are the Day One Editions and should hopefully have that completed soon.

  • Xbox One Day One Edition Issue

    When I went into my Best Buy (Stoe 1767 Blakeney NC) I preordered the Day One Edition to pick up at from an online order placed on June 10 when the preorder was placed I was told that there was an issue with the shipment and they were short shipped Day One Editions and the only version I could pick up would be a standard edition of the Xbox One. I was not happy but was offered a free game for my troubles and wanting a system more than caring about getting a special edition.
    Next, I was told the preorder would have to be cancelled because of the differing SKUs and would be rung back up. I was hesitant but was given no options and so agreed. After ringing the system up and using the card I had initially used the card, a My Best Buy Mastercard, was declined due to the authorization from the Day One Edition still being on the system. After an hour with the credit department, the games department, and the card company I was told that as I had ordered online there was no way to remove the authorization and that I would have to wait up to 7 days for the money to be released so I could buy the system I was not guarenteed by my preorder.
    Now, while I was in the store doing this I saw several other people come into the store and pick up their systems they had ordered, all of which were Day One editions. Many of these customers had the systems brought to them without having to ask, meaning they were known by the staff of the store. I also saw close to a dozen Day One editions waiting to be picked up by preorder guests. 
    I have been sour all afternoon, as I went home with no new system, something I ordered and was guaranteed over five months ago and have had no issues with my preorder for said system. The card was authorised for the purchase of the system I ordered when I walked into the store without an email saying there was an issue, but I was willing to accept that maybe something had happened and someone had to take the hit. Until my roommate arrived at home.
    He told me, and showed me with photographic evidence, that a friend of his walked into that store at midnight last night, without a preorder, and picked up a Day One edition of the Xbox One. Not only this, but he said everyone who went into the store for the midnight launch were given Day One editions. So my guaranteed preorder which was already authorized was given lower priority over anyone who walked into the store to buy a system. Especially since this person only bought a system so that he could resell it. 
    So thank you, Best Buy. Thank you for showing me the kind of company you are and how you please your customers. I sit here at home with no Xbox while this guy places what might have been my preorder on eBay to turn a quick profit.

    I am truly sorry that instead of having an awesome midnight release like many of our customers did for the Xbox One launch, yours was so frustrating.  It could have and should have gone so much better for you.
    From what I have heard, there was some confusion over the Day One versions versus the standard editions of many of these games, which meant that the Day One versions were not held for pre-orders.  I apologize if this is what happened in the store you visited. 
    Unfortunately, the Xbox 360 to Xbox One trade-in and upgrade promotion was going to be a little bit complicated, which is why we asked the stores to make sure that they were up on the process before the launch of the Xbox One.  Again, I apologize that this experience was subpar as well.

  • Forza Horizon 2 Day One Edition

    Will the Day One Edition of Forza Horizon 2 be available for preorder at Best Buy?

    Hey adad,
    That's no good! Not being able to access your cart would certainly make placing an order difficult, so I can imagine why you'd be concerned. It's been my experience that these types of issues can generally be resolved by resetting your cart, so I'd encourage you to try these steps in order if you haven't already done so:
    Sign out of your BestBuy.com account and become a guest on all devices and the Best Buy app
    After clearing your browser's cache, verify that the cart button (top right corner of the page) says 0 items
    Add any item to your cart
    Click on the checkout button
    On the following page, log into your BestBuy.com account
    Assuming you're able to get this far, your cart should reflect the recently added item and any products you originally attempted to order  -- no need to worry if descriptions aren't listed for every item. You should also now have access to a "Cancel Order" button. Clicking this button will trigger a confirmation prompt. Confirm that you wish to cancel the order and your cart should instantly be reset, removing all items in the process and restoring your access.

  • Day One Edition Trade In

    I recently got the Little Big Planet 3 Day one edition which included the game, some DLC codes, as well as a collectible figure.
    Now I've barely started the game, but I figure when I'm complete, I'll try to trade it in and use the credit towards my next game purchase.  This is the first special edition game I've traded in, so I didn't know if everything needed to be in the case, or if I could keep the figure and just trade in the game disc.
    I know the disc itself doesn't have a UPC as it was part of the bundle, so I'm worried it might cause some confusion if I trade it it on its own.

    Congrats on the Little Big Planet 3 Special Edition purchase.  I hope you've been enjoying it so far.
    As enuf explained, Best Buy does not accept game accessories such as the collectible figurine, so they would not have any trade-in value with us.  You can elect to trade in the game as a standard edition, and a case would not be needed to complete the trade.

  • Titanfall Collector's Edition Pre-order has disappeared from my account!!

    I recently went in to check on pre orders that will be coming out soon, that I have reserved over the past few months and discovered some errors. There are 2 seperate pre orders that are completely missing from my account that were on it before hand. One was for South Park The Stick of Truth collector's edition(which I did in the Henrietta, NY store), and one for the Titanfall Collector's Edition for Xbox One(at the Greece,NY store). Unfortunately I do not have my receipt for the south park pre-order so I figured you cannot assist me with that one, So I went through and did that one again online. I do however still have my Titanfall receipt, and it is completely missingfrom my rewards account. I also preordered Infamous Second Son the same day as Titanfall and that is still on my account, so I do not understand why the one is missing. I did do a missing rewards point claim on it but no word back on that after 3 days. I can provide order number, and a screenshot upon request.

    From my side, I can see your pre-order for Titanfall, but not South Park: The Stick of Truth.  Being that points are not awarded until a pre-order has shipped or been picked up, it is common for a pre-order to not appear within a member's My Best Buy™ account.  Once the games have officially been released, you should see points post to your account within 20 days.  If you qualify for points and for some reason they do not post within about 20 days, then let us know and we will make sure they are added to your account.
    To ensure your South Park pre-order is still active, please send me a private message with any and all details you may have regarding the pre-order.  Do you remember when you placed the pre-order?  How did you pay for the pre-roder.  Basically, any information you can remember.  You can send a private message by clicking on the blue button located within my signature.

  • The Witcher 3: Collector'​s Edition Pre-order

    I went in to my local Best Buy yesterday to pre-order about half a dozen games that are upcoming and the first one on my list was The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Collector's Edition for PS4 (SKU 7280019). However, the employee was unable to locate it in the system and the SKU wasn't showing up so I was unable to pre-order the item.
    My issue lies in the fact that if I pre-order online, I have to pay in full today, as opposed to placing a deposit on my item and picking it up from the store. I really want to pre-order this Collector's Edition by just placing a deposit like I can and did with everything else.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks for your interest in pre-ordering the collector's edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with us! I haven't played either game in the series so far, but I've heard good things about them both.
    I realize this may not be the answer you were hoping for, but it's my understanding that all available inventory of all three collector's editions (PC, PS4, XBox One) has already been allocated. Since collector's editions are also usually limited quantity items, it's unlikely that we'll receive any more. The best advice I can give would be to keep an eye on BestBuy.com and follow up with your local store the closer we get to the game's release date for updates.

  • Destiny Limited Edition Pre-Order Bonus $10 Issue

    I pre-ordered Destiny 2 months ago online for in-store pickup.  Went to the midnight release and was told that they didn't have my game (Destiny XB1 LE).  I went home, called bestbuy.com and asked what was going on.  She said it showed in store, and to pick it up in the morning.  Go back in the morning of release day and am told that they were shipped 360 LEs by mistake and that no other store anywhere had a limited edition.  I go back at the end of the week and ask what is going to be done - they initially say nothing.  The manager then gets on the phone and starts calling stores - lots of stores - and finds a copy and has it shipped in.  When I go to buy it, they cancel my pre-order and ring it up under a new transaction (i.e. no $10 in points).  Could I still get my $10 in points?

    In order to guarantee you receive the $10 pre-order bonus certificate, the rep who assisted you should have fulfilled your initial order and then processed an exchange if necessary. Cancelling the initial order prevents this from occurring, so I'd be glad to see what can be done to assist you.

  • Destiny Limited Edition Pre-order and My Best Buy

    If you pre-order Destiny on any console, you get a $10 certificate. Does this apply to the limited edition version as well?

    With the recent additions of the Limited and Ghost Editions of Destiny, it’s no surprise there would be questions about your My Best Buy benefits when pre-ordering the different versions! Like everyone else, I’m pretty excited to check out Destiny, although I only went with the Standard Edition. I’m beginning to wonder if I should have splurged for at least the Limited Edition.
    To answer your question, yes, the Limited Edition should also apply to the $10 My Best Buy Reward Certificate bonus when pre-ordering with Best Buy. To my knowledge, all physical versions of Destiny, including the Ghost and Limited Edition, qualify for the promotion.
    If you’re yet to get your pre-order in, I’d suggest heading over to the Destiny page on BestBuy.com and doing so while the Limited Editions are still available! Also, please feel free to let us know if you have any other questions.

  • Persona Q Premium Edition pre-order issue

    Hi,
    I pre-ordered 2 copies of Persona Q Premium Edition, but when I view the product page for it in my order history, it shows me the description for the standard edition. It's the same issue many other people are having. I'm wanting to know what can be done about this issue.

    When this title was initially made available for pre-order on BestBuy.com, the standard edition was incorrectly listed as the Wild Cards edition. The SKU number was correct though, and our merchant team has since made sure SKU #7377002 properly reflects the standard edition online.

  • Sniper Elite 3 Collectors Edition pre-order issue

    Hi I'm in need of some help with this game and the subsequent issue surrounding a ghost order with the game. I preordered the game from Bestbuy.com for in-store pickup and after waiting for an email regarding the game I went to the local store to see if they had got it in after release. When going to check my order status I noticed that there was no order to be found. I double checked my debit account and am still seeing a charge for $60.89 which is the correct amount for the game with GCU discount applied. I was informed by bestbuy.com that I would be contacted by back office, but they haven't gotten back to me in the timeframe they layed out. I see the game is purchasable online for PS4 still, but the pre-order content is not available any longer and I'd like some help with that if possible before I make a new order.

    Pre-ordering games on BestBuy.com should be a quick and painless experience. Checking the status of your order should be even easier! However, logging into your account, only to find that your pre-order doesn’t exist in the system, would be understandably frustrating and I’m very sorry to hear this may have occurred with Sniper Elite 3 pre-order. I further apologize for any delay in response you’ve received in regards to your previous contact to us!
    Ghost orders, while very uncommon, can certainly be a cause for confusion, especially if you’re seeing the funds being held on your account. Please know that this is likely just an authorization, as we don’t actually charge your card until the item ships or is picked up in-store. These authorizations will fall off of your account within the timeframe set by your bank. With that said, I’d like to research this further and assist where I can!   • One Month Since I Pre-Ordered My iPhone 4s

    It was about a month ago.  I strolled into my local Best Buy and placed my order for the new iPhone 4s.  It had finally come to the Sprint Network.  I was excited.  I pictured myself getting lost in DC with only the snarky, smart @$$ voice of SIRI to guide me safely home.  On my way, I would use my Urban Spoon app to checkout local restaurant to grab a bit to eat.  I couldn't wait until October 14.  I even took the day off.  It was just like Christmas.  I remember getting up early that morning, taking a shower and heading out to College Park.  I was in so much of a hurry, I didn't check the time.  I stop off at the local dinner to grab a sandwich.  I walked through the door at 10:05am and give the sales clerk my receipt.  And that's when it happen...........nothing!!!  Happy One Month Pre-Order iPhone 4s Anniversary!!!

    Happy 1-Month!!! How many of your friends got their Iphone 4s' while you are unable to get your own? My boss even got his before me, safe to say he got his at an Apple store. No longer will I go to Best Buy for Apple phones.

  • Bonus points for pre-ordering X-Men: Days of Future Past

    I ordered this blu-ray the same day as I did for Captain America: The Winter's Soldier.  I received my 100 bonus points for Captain America a few weeks ago.  However, when I checked my account this morning for the bonus points on X-Men, it only showed 1 point (instead of 100).  I was wondering what happened to it.  Thanks for any info you can offer.

    We did have a promotion between 8/31/2014 and 9/6/2014 that was offering 100 bonus points with select pre-orders.  This offer was only available on BestBuy.com, there was a limit of 100 bonus points per title, and a maximum of 600 bonus points per member.  If your pre-order of X-Men: Days of Future Past was placed while the offer was valid, then 100 bonus points should post to your My Best Buy account within about 20 days.  You may not see those bonus points emerge as pending or post until after your pre-order is fulfilled.
    If you do not see 100 bonus points post to your My Best Buy account within 20 days of your pre-order being shipped or picked up, then please feel free to send me a private message and I will see what I can do to help.  You can send a private message by clicking on the blue button within my signature.

    I've had the chance to review your account and it looks like at least one of your pre-order bonus certificates (for Sunset Overdrive) may not have been awarded since your initial order was returned + repurchased at the time of pickup. I've addressed that issue, so you should see record of that certificate sometime in the next 2-3 business days. The other certificate for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare should post within a similar timeframe, so make sure to keep an eye on BestBuy.com for updates.
    As far as Forza Horizon 2 is concerned, remember that this game was not eligible for our Get $10 program.   • Pre-orders for Vol II of two-volume series

    I'm working on Volume II of a two-book series. When I post Vol. I on iTunes (this month, March, 2013), is there a mechanism to accept pre-orders for the second volume? If so, what time frame lag between volumes is deemed suitable. (I'm expecting Vol. II to follow Vol. I by six months.) Also, what 'proof' does Apple need that Vol. II is legitimate. Thanks.

    You should be able to pre-order Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain – Day One Edition on our website.  Also, it does appear that you currently can order Story of Seasons  for shipping and not in-store pickup.  You may want to reach out to your local store for more information about its availability.

  • Still having elder scrolls pre order problems

    i got a 3 day access instead of the 5 day access i was supposed to get, okay fine. 3 day keys are atached to regular edition versions of the game not the imperial one (which is the one i paid for) now i cant access the imperial race, or my horse... so basically i cant get any of the perks i paid i for............................................................................................................................................ thank you best buy .....

    Thanks for contacting us regarding your pre-order for The Elder Scrolls Online. Imperial Edition pre-orders were supposed to come with a 5-day Early Access code, however we did end up running out of those. We had a limited supply and ended up providing some Imperial Edition customers with 3-day codes as a result. I apologize for any disappointment that this caused.
    These codes only grant access to the game ahead of time, the only difference being the number of days. There is no additional content tied to them, and all other Imperial bonuses should be included with the game itself.
