Days in period

we use days in period to calculate key financial indicators - days cash on hand, etc.- and our months are not calendar months. How have others created this data in an essbase outline?thanks!

We use a 5-4-4 fiscal calendar and also use days in month to calculate such statistics. I have set up a two stat accounts in the accounts dimension. One is number of weeks which is fed with 5's and 4's respectively. And the other is days which has a member formula that is 7*weeks and is calced and stored. This lets us calculate stats using member formulas and dynamically calcing the result. Hope that is applicable to your situation.

Thanks for the response - however I wish it were as SIMPLE as clicking on the link you supplied. I tried this myself before posting here. For someone who is attempting to cancel within the 30 day period - there is no automated button that one can click on. Instead you have to 'speak to an advisor' - for which there is a verrrry long
waiting time.
However I did perservere (after all, I was keen to avoid any billing charges) - Anyway when I did finally get through - I was offered all sorts of incentives to stay - until I had to ask if I had accidentally been put through to 'sales' instead of 'customer services'!!!
Anyway, I (think) finally managed to cancel - hope it all goes through as expected!!!

Program RCMP6BIN error message "No working days in period ...

Program RCMP6BIN is part of a custom batch job that copies entries from LIS table S505 to S076, and is erroring with abap message MA598, "No working days in period 53/2009, but planning data exists".
We recerntly took week 53/2009 out of the factory calendar (plant shutdown) and the job began failing. Our Planners have removed demand elements from that week (sales orders, scehduling agreement, planned independent requirments, etc) , but the job continues to fail , with the same message.
Any help on next step is greatly appreciated.

Hello Jim, you are trying to transfer planning data , I guess. Check with SE16 if table S505 has some values for this week. Or even without values, it is possible that the fact of removing week 53 would lead you tho this error. If shutdown has to do with production, then it is advisable to deal with the work center capacity .

Low speed after 10 day stabilisation period

Hi all,
I had my BB activated on the 1st Nov & was syncing at 17.000kbps, Next day we were only getting 4.543kbps.
Not knowing what was happening i rang BT. The chap on the phone told me about the 10 day stabilisation period, So i thought ok fair doo's and left it at that.
So the 11th of Nov comes and i go to check the router stats...

These stats have been the same as from the 2nd of November till now the 12th.
Sooooo i rings up BT again and askes if they could manually configure my line as im thinking the 10 day stabilisation period is up and that ip profile must of got stuck or something.
But this chap is telling me he can not manually configure the line i've got to wait another 10 days?
Is this the norm for BT? As before i switched to BT i was with Sky & could not remember 20 days stabilisation period.
Was i just beeing fobbed off or do i really have to wait another 10 days? The chap on the phone was pritty sure he could not do anything till the 20th if my speed had not changed.

Hi, i've no problems with disconnections but i have manualy power cycled the router a few times and we have a token electric meter which tends to go off every 2-3 days which cant be helped
The electric went today around 8 or 9am this morning, im guessing this is no good for my line all these power cycles

How to implement a 30 day trial period?

Hello,
I'm trying to implement a 30 day evaluation period for a pure C# WinForms commercial application. The requirements are basically that an uninstall / reinstall should not reset the countdown and it should not be trivial for the user to do it himself. It would also be nice if it were obscured even from detection using SysInternals regmon / filemon software.
I'm thinking of storing the install date somewhere, but where? I tried using isolated storage, but was disappointed to see it just stores as a normal file in the user's Application Data directory.
Certainly this problem has been solved before. Thanks for any ideas...

Number of days per period cumulated value

Hi,
I am using a keyfigure which gives me number of days per period cumulated.
example
001.2009 002.2009 003.2009
30             61            91
When i multiplying number of days keyfigure with a factor, Its caluculating using before aggregation values. i.e.
001.2009 = 30*factor
002.2009 = 31* factor
003.2009 = 30*factor.
The requirement is to multiply with cumulated values.
001.2009 = 30*factor
002.2009 = 61*factor
003.2009 = 91*factor.
Is this possible? If yes any help greatly appreciated.

Why was I told there is a 7 day grace period??? and now i have a late fee

I was told that the bill is actually 'due' 7 days after the due date. (i.e. a 7 day grace period from date on bill) and now I have a late fee. This is ridiculous! I paid before the 7 days and now I have a late fee, frustrated.

What is the point of a "due date" if the bill isn't "due" until 7 days after the due date? Your "grace" period is the time from when you get your bill until the "due date". For me, that is normally 20 or so days. To me at least, a due date is pretty self explanatory. Just pay the late fee and learn from your mistake.

Ten day stabilizing period to help improve slow in...

After years of ringing BT and getting nowhere i decided to email them and chat online. I was told that there was a cap on my internet and that it had now been removed but i would have to wait ten days for any improvement due to this 'ten day stabilizing period' has this happened to anyone else? if so has it improved internet speed?
My current speed is 0.5mb which is ridiculous!!

Payroll period starts from 15th of month to 14th of next month and payday is last working day of month having period end day.
Example
Period start day 15th April
Period end day 14th May
Pay day last working day or last day of May for period 15th April to 14th May.

Will Cut Offs affect my 10 days learning period.

I am still in my 10 days line learning period, however today I had several short power cuts and a loss of phone line on a couple of occasions, The loss of phone line, according to BT Chat was caused my work being done at the Exchange to correct connection errors. All in all not a good day. At times my speed and ping dropped dramatically, but appear to be OK at the moment. Will all this affect the learning period?

just leave things alone and let the line continue to train if it takes longer that is no problem as all the line needs is connection history do not worry about it
