Dazzle 150

I am new to this forum so please excuse my ignorance.
I was at a garage sale today and I saw a Dazzle 150 for $20.00.
Does anyone know if it would work on a Mac?
It is USB 2 not fire wire.

Thank you for your response. I will capture with Pinnacle Studio and use Quicktime for the file conversion only. Just trying to save a step.

Capture Device??

I Bought a Capture Device (Dazzle 150), I was Wonering if if would work with Final Cut Pro 4. If it does can someone tell me how to how to install it in in Final Cut Pro 4.

No clue if it will work but to hook it up ...
run a firewire cable from the device to the firewire 400 (6 pin) port on your computer.
Connect your TV to the device using the appropriate cables (this should be spelled out in the documentation you received with the device)
When you launch FCP, go to
View>Video Playback>Apple firewire
View>External Video>All Frames
View>External Audio>audio follows video.

hey i was wondering if the dazzle dvc 150 is mac compatible. or if dazzle dvc 170 will work on a mac.

No. The Dazzle gear hasn't been particularly useful on Macs. Not worth the $, £, or € they charge.
What are you trying to do that you need a converter for?

Hello there. I have a Dazzle DVC 90 usb 2.0 video capture device. I know it works on PC because I have used it on a PC, but will it work if I plug it into my mac? I really would like to use it on my mac. Is there a good video capture device that would be a better choice for my mac? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I have a Dazzle DVC 150 which unfortunately only works for Windows. I looked for Mac driver but they son't seem to exist. So I guess that is the same for your DVC 90.
A good choice for the Mac is the EyeTV product suite from Elgato (www.elgato.com). Perhaps the cheap EyeTV EZ is a good choice for you. I bought the more expensive EyeTV 200 and am very happy with it

FME and dazzle

I just bought the dazzle dvc 100 series [dazzle dvd recorder] Im attempting to get the audio from the dazzled but there is no source on the drop down menu.
I'm on vista home premium with sp1
Which should be working!
I tried the capture card on xp and behold the drop down menu it appeared. Is there any work around? Or no?

And yes I installed the software that came with it.

Same problem.....except I tried it on both Vista and XP. Although the audio device shows on XP, I'm still getting no audio. Talked to Dazzle (Avid) and they told me that it is a program-specific device and is not made to work with other software. I'm not sure if this is final or if there is another way around it with having to spend $150 on a PCI capture card.

we are in need to find materials in scheduling agreement with more than 150 lines. In standard SAP, materials can be searched only based on item Nos. is there a way we can search by material in ME38. also we noticed that find icon is greyed out in ME38.
Please suggest.
One more request is, to create an uplaod program for maintaining delivery schedules for multiple SAs.

I am also curious if anyone has found a solution to this problem.
We routinely have scheduling agreements that are hundreds of line items. Users find it difficult to find the line item they wish to work with. It would be helpful if we could search by material number or sort the line items by material.
As Raghavendra mentioned (ctrl+F) functionality is not available in ME33L or ME38.

While transferring Adobe from laptop to PC the licensing files got corrupt and the right way to use Adobe Applications is to install first as transferring from a different machine can give you problems.
You can try steps from this article if that helps otherwise you have to reinstall and manually delete some files , everything is mentioned.

ID5.5 image dpi cut from 300 to 150 in save as ps, acrobat to pdf

When I submitted book interior to printer, they said some images were 150 dpi. I checked the ID file links, and they showed them as 300 dpi. My process to pdf was: from ID, save as postscript file, then use Acrobat Pro with the PDFx1a2001 profile to create the pdf. Any thoughts on where in this process the images would be downgraded to 150 dpi? Here is the file as ID shows it:

Error 150.30 with Photoshop Elements

My Windows 7 PC died, and I've transferred photographs to my old Dell XP machine. When I execute Elements, I get the error 150.30 message asking me to restart the maching. I did that, but still get the error when executing Adobe.

Photoshop CS4 - Licensing Error 150:30

I have a MacBook with the OS X Maverick Operating System and have had no prior issues using my Photoshop CS4. My computer recently crashed and had to have my operating system re-installed. I tried to open up Photoshop today and this window popped up: "Licensing for this product has stopped working". I tried restarting the computer like the window mentioned and that did nothing. I also tried the solutions listed on the Adobe website for the Error: 150:30 and nothing has worked. My main problem is I cannot finish the "solutions" because I cannot locate the folder "FlexNet" or "FlexNet Licensing" or anything of that nature that is referred to in the solutions.

The Licensing repair tool does work. OSX 10.7 and above:
Download and open LicenseRecovery111.dmg on your Desktop
Open Terminal and type sudo and leave a space. <do not press "Enter" yet>.
Open the License Folder on the opened LicenseRecovery111.dmg and drag
"LicenseRecover.py" file into the Terminal Window.
The sudo command and path to the .py file should look like the screenshot below.
Press Enter to begin
Type in your password, but know that you will not see dots or asterisks as you type.
Press Enter again, let the script run and finish. You should be able to run Photoshop now.

Photoshop keeps crashing error 150:30 please help

I have photoshop CS4 and CS5 that I got through doing an associates degree program. They've worked fine in the past, but recently they've started giving me a message when I try to use them that the licensing has stopped working and the error is 150:30. I don't understand why it's doing that because I did everything right when I installed them. And they seem to be okay when I restart my computer, but it's like I have to open them as soon as I start my computer or they won't work later and I can't keep restarting my computer. If anyone knows what's going on, please let me know how I can fix this.

Some people say their CS4 still works on 10.10, so I'm trying to make it work.
Apparently, migrating/restoring from a backup is something adobe doesn't like, so it either gets scrambled or deauthorizes your computer.
Most people say to try this:

I'm honestly more comfortable with redownloading, so I'm trying that first. So far, so good since I had my serial number.

How to import 150 .mov (quicktime) clips into iMovie '11?

Hello,
Newbie to iMovie and having some trouble. My wedding videographer took off with my wedding footage (and the footage of 100 other couples.) Through the police and some of my own detective work, I was able to seize my wedding footage and have it on an external hard drive. I have already spent thousands of dollars trying to recoup my footage and now that I finally have it, I don't have the extra money to have it made into an actual movie/dvd.
All of the more than 150 clips are in .mov format and I am unable to import them into iMovie that way. Any ideas on how to convert that many HD clips into a file that iMovie will recognize without losing video quality & sound?

Codecs: H.264, Linear PCM
Color Profile: 1-1-6
Audio Channels: 2

I did it! I realized after 2 hours of it not working, that I was doing it 1 step wrong. I was trying to import the actual file with all the clips, rather than just the clips themselves... Silly error, and the import of .mov files into iMovie was seemelss.. Quality is great and didn't take long. Thanks again.

Maximum number of processes exceeded 150

Dear All,
I have modified my init file and set the processes to 300 but I still keep on getting the above error.
When I issue the statment :
Select * from v$parameter where name='processes'
I get the value 300.
Why does the system message show 150 ?
How can I alter this ?
I have stored procedures which return ref cursors to the calling environment which is JSP pages.
We are closing the resultsets where ever the stored procedure are being called as soon as the processing is over.
How can I overcome this problem ?

I have been trying to import VHS video into iMovie via a Hollywood Dazzle bridge. Did not have trouble until I upgraded to mavericks. I have a mac book pro, 10.9.1, iMovie 10.0.2. Says it is recording, but when I go to check, it says the file is empty.

When I stop the process to check on my clip it says that the file is empty. The only thing that has changed since I did it successfully is that I upgraded to mavericks from whatever I had previously. My system is about one year old. Any suggestions?

     Thanks for your help! I was able to go to iMovie 9.0.9 and import video. I was still curious as to why it didn't work in version 10.0.2, so I contacted Apple tech support. They were't sure at first as to why it wouldn't work, so they had me delete iMovie 10.0.2 and then re-install it just to see if something had gone wrong when it upgraded. That didn't change anything. In the end, they determined that 10.0.2 doesn't support the Hollywood Dazzle DV bridge. But I have a workaround path from them that I will share so that it's possible to import to 9.0.9, then move it to 10.0.2.
     1. Open iMovie 9 (finder/applications/iMovie 9.0.9
     2. Import from Dazzle Bridge to iMovie 9, note which event you are importing the clips into
     3. Close iMovie 9
     4. Open iMovie 10 (probably in the dock)
     5. File/Import Media...navigate to home(this was my name, on the left side of iMovie, under Favorites)/Movies/iMovie events. Find the event folder that contains your Dazzle clips (tip-try sorting by date modified to look at recent events.)
     6. Select the clips and import. Click the blue "Import Selected" button on the bottom right.
You may get a message that some files cannot be imported. Click continue import. It's a little glitchy. It imports your clip, and also makes a copy of it, too. On the copy, the audio is normal, but the video is choppy. In any case, you would delete the copy, anyway.
