DB Connect Configuration

I created a DB Connect to BW itself to read a table within table.
I'm trying to create the datasource but when I choose "Display Table Contents" it says "No data in this table".
Does someone have any ideas on why I'm not able to see the data but I'm able to see the fields for selection.
Thanks,
Teresa Kallab.

Gopal,
Thanks for your answer. I know I can create a generic extractor using RSO2 but my problem is that the business requirement is real time.
There's a customize table in BW that it's being update everytime a user makes a change in Manugistics Application(another source sytem - forecast application).
If I use a generic extractor to load in BW this data I need to run every 5 minutes a load to the cube. If I use DB Connect I don't need to load any data. I'm able to read the table without loading the data.
What I'm trying to create is a DB Connect to the table. I'm able to see the table and the fields of the table but I'm not able to display data with the option "Display Table Contents".
Thanks,
Teresa.

  • Ucm connection configuration on webcenter portal app

    Hi All,
We create a webcenter portal application and connect with Webcenter content using Application Resources --> connections --> content repository connection.
The parameters that we provided for the connection are:
Socket type: socket, Hostname, Port, Admin username and Password. We havent given the Webserver context root and Url of the webserver plugin.
In enterprise manager console while we check the webcenter connection configuration, the Web server context root /cs is automatically availble eventhough we havent provide them while creating our connection(checked on connections.xml also), because of which while using content presenter contributor mode, the UCM environment is opened inline.
We want our UCM enviroment to get opened in a new window as normal one and not on inline and may i know why the webserver context root is automatically available eventhough we didnt provide it explicitly
    thanks

Faces messages are displayed in a pop-up by ADF. This is the default behaviour.
If you want to display Faces Messages inline, then include the af:messages tag in an appropriate place with the inline attribute set to true. Add this to your home page.
    <af:messages inline="true" id="m1"/>

  • Preferences advanced network connection configure button missing

Checking preferences > advanced > network > connection > configure how Firefox connects to the internet, found that the "settings" button did not appear. Also, the "encryption" tab on the far right was gone.
Most recent changes were to install addons Certificate Patrol and Perspectives. I reverted to a profile saved before they were installed but that made no difference. The troubleshooting data below is without the two addons.

Thanks for the quick response. To answer the first question, the window can't be resized, at least on 10.5. Macs are cranky about such things.
I had been working on isolating the problem since posting the question. It is in my userChrome CSS running under Stylish; so the problem is either the CSS or Stylish or Stylish Custom. In any event not some external thing, which was my main concern. I'm sure that this did not occur with previous combinations of Firefox, userChrome, and the two extensions. The problem may never be fixed, but can be circumvented by just disabling the CSS when needed.
Sorry to have stirred up things, but it was a troubling phenomenon.

Can you get any other wired client to access the Internet when plugged into the AirPort's LAN port? Just not your Win7 laptop? What IP addresses are being assigned to your laptop when connected?

  • How can I stop Firefox from re-setting its internet connection configuration every time I re-open the browser? It should stay at "no proxy" but doesn't.

In the past couple of days, every time I close Firefox 8.0, it re-sets the internet configuration to "manual configuration" -- which generates a "proxy server refusing connections" error message. I have to re-set to "no proxy" every time I re-open the browser. This never happened before yesterday. What can I do to make the "no proxy" setting an automatic default on opening? ISP is Verizon high-speed.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • Outbound HTTP Connection Configuration

    Hi
I need to invoke a REST service from HANA. Is there any way to configure the outbound connection as opposed to hardcode the connection paramteres in the code?
    Thanks,
    Diego Vinas

I just did this with HTTPS, I used this series of blogs on SCN as a good resource for getting configured with HTTPS, I assume that the steps for HTTP would be much easier because you don't need to setup the Trust Store:

  • SSL Connectivity Configuration

    Hi,
I installed the SSL Certificates on the windows machine where our CPO server is configured. And I also configured the web service adapter to use secured authentication on the default port.
Is there anything else I would need to configure other than the above inorder to have the SSL connectivity? Also are there any standard tests I can perform from CPO inorder to validate this configuration.
    Thanks,
    Greg

You need to make sure you have followed all the steps on page 12 of the Northbound Web Services guide. If you have you can test by opening a browser and going to https:// teo server>:/WS/Process?WSDL
You can test with portal feeding information in or you can run web service executes (in CPO) against it to further test.
