DB Connect Datasource inconsistent-how to regenerate it
Hi
Data load from ARIBA source system is failing the Error message during data load is "Error in source system"
I went to the data source and clicked on check it says META DATA IS IN CONSISTENT REGENERATE THE DATASOURCE" this data source is based on DB connect.
I am new to DB connect can someone tell me how to make the data source consistent or regenerate it.

Go to, DB connect source system
There you can see that option "Select database tables"
Here you can find out, your respective data source.
(Respective views from your database)
Double click your data source, it will throw all the objects been used.
There you have option to test your data source and also you can generate your datasource once again.

I have created datasources for ORACLE quality system in SAP BI DEV. If I transported all the objects from SAP DEV to SAP prod directly is there be any problem?

As your scenario, i can understand that you have got :
Oracle Quality connected with the BW Development.
So if you transport BW Development to your BW Production, then there should atleast
Oracle Production connected with the BW Production. (As your data Source created is based on the oracle system)."if this is the scenario in your case then transport your Table or view from Oracle Dev to Oracle Prod"
Now you have to more specific that what kind of connection you have in your BW Production with oracle.

Hi Experts,
we are creating a UD connect Datasource based on a View which has 10 fields.
Now we want to add an extra field in the Datasource which is not present in the View (which we are using to create the datasource), please advice how to achieve this.
I am not able to add the extra field in the UD Connect datasource. Same thing i was able to do when the source is Flat File.

The field is already available in the Data Target. Reason for adding this in Datasource is that for reporting purpose we are modifying the source record such that each record is converted to 19 records while transformations.
Along with this we have some validations to be done which will consume less time if done before the above conversion or columns to rows.
Is there any way we can add that field in the DataSource?

I am trying to setup my ipad 2 but I can't get back to the wi-fi connections section. How do I get there, nothing is working.
The Wi-Fi connections section is in Settings > Wi-Fi
If the home screen is not visible tap the Home button, the button on the front of your iPad that has the rounded square in it. Once you reach the Home screen swipe through the screen of apps until you find the Settings app. Tap Settings and go to Wi-Fi.
If your iPad is completely non responsive, try a restart.
Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep button simultaneously ignoring the red slider. Keep holding until the Aple logo appears and your iPad will restart.
The sleep button is on the side of your iPad on the side opposite from the Home button. -

How to regenerate a table maintenance view for a table.
A new customer defined field(y_status) was added to the table(ykxrdarea). But the field is not reflected in the view maintenance.busiess adviced me to regenerate the table view maintenance.
Can any one help me how to regenerate the table view maintenance.Go to transaction SE11.Enter the table name and choose utilities from the menu and click on table maintenence generator.You will get the table maintenance dialog.Choose generated objects from the menu and click on change.You will get the change generation elements screen.Enter the reason for regeneration.In your case it is new field/sec.table in structure.hit enter and the table maintenance will be regenerated.If you go back and see the maintenance view now you should see your field.

If you need to connect the USB cable wrap the end of the USB connector in some thin tape to stop it getting caught or use a USB extension cable.

It's likely a hardware issue. The iOS will not directly cause this issue.

Connect the iOS device to your computer and restore via iTunes. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.
