DB Connect: Infosource assignment problem

Dear Colleagues,
You have been always helpful when needed and I have always given credit to your help. So coming to problem I am facing now...
I am using BW 3.5 and MS SQL as a datasource.
DB connect is successful and now for doing extraction test, I have created one table in MS SQL and trying to load that table in BW. Created the DB source system, tested successfully, created Infosource and assign datasource to Infosource. Data target is also created. Till then everything is find.
Now while loading the data, in monitor it gives the error "<b>No mapping available for DataSource 6DB_XXXX. Assign an InfoSource. Error in Source System</b>". Whereas Datasource assignment to Infosource is created and activated successfully.
I search the entire forum, but did not get any proper solution for this.
Please do help.........
Regards
Pankaj

Pankaj,
If you deleted and then made again an assignment it wouldn't help.
There is something wrong with your DS. You need to regenerate it again. For this you need to delete an IS-DS assignment first. After that you'll generate a DS again. Then make a replication.
Don't know why you couldn't see a replication option. Do you see something like "Select tables"?
And how did you create a DS?
Best regards,
Eugene

Can't connect to the internet in my home yet other devices can. I tried it in other wifi places and it connects without a problem. My home wifi is with ATT Uverse. I cheched the IP address on my laptop and its different than on my Ipod although it on the same network.

Move off WEP to WPA or, preferably, to WPA2 (as recommended by Apple). WEP has been deprecated by the WiFi Alliance since 2004 as insecure (it can be cracked in seconds by any hacker).
Note that each device on a network has a unique IP address but if your address starts with 169 then you did not get a valid IP address assigned to you by your router. If restarting the router did not cure the problem then you should check for a firmware update for your router.

i am trying to connect to my friend's wifi, i have a very strong signal indicated on my ipad, but cannot connect to the internet.  Yesterday i connected without any problem, can anybody tell me why i cannot connect today?

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

  • TS1702 My brand new iphone5 will not connect to my home wifi even though my ipad and old iphone do connect with no problem. What can I do?

My brand new iphone5 will not connect to my home wifi even though it recognizes it. My ipad and my old iphone4s connect with no problem. Any thoughts?

Although your other devices connect okay, it would be worth resetting your router by switching if off for disconnecting it from mains power for 2 minutes and then switch it on again.
Good luck and do report back.

  • Problem connecting wirelessly from iMac to NETGEAR router, get invalid password message with WPA and WPA-2 encryption in place but if I remove them, so no security, can connect without a problem. Help!!

Problem connecting wirelessly from iMac to NETGEAR router, get invalid password message with WPA and WPA-2 encryption in place but if I remove them, so no security, can connect without a problem. Help!!

Thank you for your suggestion but I have already had a couple of phone sessions with NETGEAR support and they don't see any problems with the router settings etc. They referred me to Apple support, who helped me discover that it is possible to communicate with the router but only if I turn off the encryption/security software, which I don't want to do. The frustrating thing is that I can connect wirelessly from a laptop running Windows 7 and two Anroid smart phones, with WPA-2 in place, without a problem. Do you have any other ideas?

  • Can SAP GRC AC 5.3 connect without any problem with SAP R/3 4.7 Enterprise?

    hello,
I went to the PAM in the SAP Marketplace to see if SAP GRC AC 5.3 could connect to SAP R/3 4.7 Enterprise but I can't see all the "Add-On Product Version for...", it's cut off.
Can SAP GRC AC 5.3 connect without any problem with SAP R/3 4.7 Enterprise?
If I can't is there any proof about it? I have to show it to a client.
    Best Regards,
    Pablo Mortera,

    Pablo,
GRC AC 5.3 works perfectly fine with SAP's R/3 4.6c, mySAP ERP 4.7 and ECC systems. In fact we have two 4.7 Enterprise systems connected to GRC AC 5.3 system.
You can get the details of supported SAP ERP systems under prerequisite section of Info page of GRC AC 5.3 , it can be accessed on marketplace at -
Downloads-->Installations and Upgrades - Entry by Application Group > SAP Solutions for Governance, Risk, and Compliance>SAP GRC Access Control>SAP GRC ACCESS CONTROL>SAP GRC ACCESS CONTROL 5.3
Just ensure to have proper BASIS and ABAP support pack level as mentioned in prerequisites.

Hi! Has anybody succeeded in using Presonus Audio box 22 vsl with Os Mountain Lion? They doesn´t seem to connect.
No problems when i used with Snow Leopard. I upgraded: Now Kreonika is not happy. Not happy at all!

In cases like this, if you have an Apple store near by, they will most likely install the OS free of charge for you, if you can't bring your Apple ID along to prove you've paid for it.
Would that work out for you?

  • Regarding Infosource Assignment

    Hi All,
I need clarification regarding Infosource Assignment. I am doing Business Content Extraction. After we replicate the Datasource, I am selecting I am assigning infosource, by selecting the option "Assign Infosource" in the context menu of the Datasource. Here we will get three options:
    1. Content
    2. Application Proposal
    3. Others
Can any one give me information regarding these three options.
    Regards
    Ravi Y

    hi,
    1. content means business content assignment, system will automatically determine the business content infosoruce, in business content installation/activation, you may use 'in dataflow before' with source system selected then system will install the datasource.
    2. application proposal, i think this means application component, system may propose based on the same application component name of datasource and infosource.
    3. others, we 'free choice' the infosource.
in your case, the option should be 'content' since you use all business content.
    hope this helps.

  • Broadband connection and speed problems

    Hi,
On Wednesday morning my broadband connection went down and could not reconnect from 600am til 700pm. It did manage to get a connection to stay up at around 900pm, but since then the connection has dropped about four times a day.
I have checked my equipment, wiring etc, connected directly to the test socket, using  a new ADSL microfilter etc etc. I have also checked for known problems in my area and have done some quiet call tests(17070).
There are apparently no problems in my area, but a couple of the quiet call tests were crackly.
Since last night (Friday) at around 900pm the connection has managed to stay up but my connection speeds, both up and down are much much lower than they used to be.
Since Wednesday night I have performed some BT speedtests.
D/L Profile for my line is - 17.64 Mbps, but actual speed currently varies between around 8 and 11 Mbps.
U/L Profile for my line is - 0.83 Mbps, but speed currenty varies between 0.01 and 0.3 Mbps.
Before Wednesday, my download speeds were typically 16-17Mbps and upload speeds were typically 0.8Mbps.
    With very little variation.
I have included some stats from my BT HH3...
    Wednesday nights ADSL Line status,  after I managed to get a connection to stay up. below;
    ADSL Line Status
    Connection Information
    Line state: Connected
    Connection time: 0 days, 04:59:49
    Downstream: 18.65 Mbps
    Upstream: 443.9 Kbps
    ADSL Settings
    VPI/VCI: 0/38
    Type: PPPoA
    Modulation: G.992.5 Annex A
    Latency type: Fast
    Noise margin (Down/Up): 4.9 dB / 26.4 dB
    Line attenuation (Down/Up): 11.1 dB / 5.3 dB
    Output power (Down/Up): 20.1 dBm / 12.9 dBm
    FEC Events (Down/Up): 0 / 0
    CRC Events (Down/Up): 758 / 36
    Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
    Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
    Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
    HEC Events (Down/Up): 23957 / 6
    Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 300 / 4
    Current ADSL line status. After the line being up for 17 hours below;
    ADSL Line Status
    Connection Information
    Line state: Connected
    Connection time: 0 days, 17:17:36
    Downstream: 19.52 Mbps
    Upstream: 443.9 Kbps
    ADSL Settings
    VPI/VCI: 0/38
    Type: PPPoA
    Modulation: G.992.5 Annex A
    Latency type: Fast
    Noise margin (Down/Up): 3.2 dB / 28.1 dB
    Line attenuation (Down/Up): 11.0 dB / 5.2 dB
    Output power (Down/Up): 20.2 dBm / 12.2 dBm
    FEC Events (Down/Up): 0 / 0
    CRC Events (Down/Up): 133 / 36
    Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
    Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
    Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
    HEC Events (Down/Up): 636 / 9
    Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 117 / 4
One thing that stands out is the Noise Margin of 4.9dB and now 3.2dB. I gather that these values are on the low side. Is 3.2dB acceptable?
I assume my line attenuation values are low as I live very close to my local exchange. I assume that these values are good.
There are some CRC HEC and Error Seconds values. I must admit that I dont fully understand these but I assume these are not good.
One other thing worth mentioning is that the phone cable to my property comes along my front wall over from a neighbouring property. Whilst checking this cable this morning in the daylight, I have noticed that someone, most probably my neighbour, has pulled the cable way from its fixing on the wall in order to put a fence post up on the wall.
The fence post has been there for a few months, with no apparent affect ro my phone and broadband, but I'm concerned that this could have damaged the cable, splitting the shielding or breaking a wire in the cable, or perhaps loosened the connectors to the juntion box it is connected to on the neighbours wall.
Could damage to the cable be the cause of my connection and speed problems?
Also, is it possible that my BTHH3 is faulty?
Any advice would be very welcome.
    Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    A little more information.
I have noticed that on a number of occasions when making or receiving voice calls, the broadband connection completely drops. It doesnt happen on all calls, and doesnt seem to happen when just going 'offhook' and listening to a dialling tone.
There is a definite crackle and hiss on most of the voice calls. But only seems to be audible on the home phone.
After a little browsing, I came upon a logging program "Routerstatshub". When I leave this running it logs changes to ADSL stats.
Looking at the logs, I've noticed that when making voice calls, the upstream noise margin always seems to drop considerably, sometimes down to 0dB.
On some calls, both upstream and downstream noise margin drop to 0dB and the broadband connection drops.
I have also noticed that upstream line attenuation increases from around 5dB to around 28dB every hour or so. This doesnt appear to coincide with the voice calls.
CRC and HEC error increase dramatically at the same time as the noise margin changes. HEC goes up by 10s of thousands.
I'm still directly connected into the mastersocket with a new microfilter and no extension cable.
By the way, my connection speeds went down to an all time low yesterday , 1.7Mbps down.
I have now replaced my DECT phone with a corded phone and will make some more voice calls to see if that makes any difference.
Any ideas about what the problem could be would be greatly appreciated.

  • HT1365 just installed a new wireless router (cisco linkseys E1200) and our apple laptops connect fine on one floor but lose connectivity when moved to another.  Other non apple laptops & Ipad connect with no problem no matter what floor they are on

We just installed a new wireless router to our main PC.  It's a Cisco Linkseys E1200.  All other wireless devices were able to connect without a problem, including my Ipad.  We have 2 Macbook Pro laptops.  They both connect just fine when on the same floor of our house as the router, but when we take them upstairs to the 2nd floor of the house, they lose connectivity and it states the wireless password is not the correct password.  All other 2nd floor laptops have no problem at all with connectivity no matter where they are in the house.  Please help- my husband is on the verge of selling Apple if that cannot be remedied.

This would not be a security issue symptom. I would consider checking for sources of wireless interference HT1365

  • DHCP Self-Assigned IP Address: No Cable Connection to Router Problem

Hi. I work in different office environments. At home with Time Machine and wireless everything works fine and I can connect to internet and work wireless and also with cable.
In the office _I need to use the cable_ to connect to a dlink router:
I CANNOT CONNECT WITH CABLE but wireless works.
I set MacBook Airport/Ethernet config to "using DHCP": wireless connects, cable pulls some IP address but none of the assigned router IP addresses.
    Tried:
    deleting Ethernet connection, rebooting
    rebooting router
manually setting IP address: effect: it says "connected" but no internet/ping possible
setting a predifined IP address in the router: no effect
Please, I hope someone could help.
    Thank you

I think you are right that the problem is some combination of software (Leopard) and hardware. At first, I thought it was just the MacBook Pro (or some models of it since obviously not everyone seems to have the problem and Apple is not publicly acknowledging it. I have been working with a friend who has a Verizon home network using their wireless router from Actiontec. At my house, all three of my Macs, a G4 desktop, a G4 iBook and a G3 iBook all running 10.4.11 Tiger all work flawlessly with Verizon FIOS using the same router as my friend's. And, at his house, my G4 iBook also works fine wirelessly. So, too, does his wife's MacBook (not sure which model but bought within the year). But, my friend's MacBook Pro will NOT access the Internet wirelessly, but works just fine as long as it is connected with an ethernet cable.
So, it is not the router that is the problem, and it is not that portion of the Leopard OS that obtaines a DNS server from Verizon since the MB Pro can do this with a hardwire connection. It appears to be something in the combination of that portion of Leopard's OS that deals wirelessly with the router -- and not ALL routers either because this same MB Pro CAN use a Verizon DSL modem wirelessly at another location!
We have, of course, tried everything to get this to work, and read extensively online trying to find an answer. There are no answers online, at least as far as we have explored. So, we are off to the Apple Store shortly to see if their Geniuses have something more profound to tell us that they have been keeping secret from the world as to how to make this thing work. If they fix it, I will insist they say how, and why they have not made the fix public; if it is a hardware problem, as I suspect it is, then they need to announce a recall of this model MacBook Pro.
What still leaves me mystified is why YOU have a very similar problem not getting on the internet, yet all software indications are that you are in contact with your Verizon router with MACBOOK!
One more thing: I believe the problem is really with the airport card in some Macs, pro or otherwise. The software in the OS is telling us users that there is a live signal being received by the computer when it isn't. E.g. I tried to access friend's router via the 192.16.1.1 address in a browser; no go, so there in fact is no wireless connection even though I am being told there is; however, I still do not understand why the Airport menubar menu indicates the correct router ID (name) shows in it!
    Rgds

  • Another airport connecting to internet problem! Please help!

Hi, I'm having a problem connecting to the internet on my iMac G5 running OS 10.5.8.
It initially started happening on and off after I upgraded from 10.4, now it happens all the time.
Airport connects to the network (full 5 bars and I can see the other machines on the network), but can't connect to the internet. When I run Network Diagnostics, I only get as far as Select Airport network, but it keeps scanning forever but doesn't find the network. Meanwhile my iBook G4 and a PowerMac on the same network connect no problem.
I get the Self Assigned IP address message in network preferences.
I have searched the forums for this problem, and found lots of other people having the same problem, but none of the suggested fixes have worked. The only thing I can't do is reboot the modem as it's my landlords network and I don't have access to it.
    Things I have tried include:
    -turning airport on and off
-deleting the airport preferences plist file from system preferences and rebooting
-deleting airport from network preferences and adding it again
-deleting all locations and creating a new one
-using manual dhcp and putting in an ip address same as the ibook with 1 extra number at the end
    -turning of the firewall
    -rebooting rebooting rebooting
None of the above works. Can anyone can suggest any thing else? It's driving me crazy! I know there are lots of other posts on this topic but I think I tried all of the fixes suggested without any success.
    Thanks

There is a fair chance it's a problem with the DNS settings your ISP uses. Here is what I'd recommend.
    1. System preferences
    2. Network
    3. Click Advanced
    4. Click DNS tab
    5. Click + sign
    6. Add 208.67.222.222
    7. Click + sign
    8. Add 208.67.220.220
    9. Click OK.
    10. Exit System Preferences
    11. Try out your iMac and report what happened.
    Regards,
    Roger

  • InCopy/InDesign CS3 Assignment Problem

    Hello everyone--
For the past three years we've used Version Cue CS3 for workflow on our publication.  For the most part its worked fine.  Recently though, we've had to get a new computer for an office on the West Coast and a new router on our office on the East Coast (the operating system we use on the East Coast is Windows XP Profesional.)  The computer on the West Coast is running Windows 7, and it seems InCopy CS3 installed on it without a problem--until it came time to do our publication.
The way our system is set up is the West Coast machine uses a VPN tunnel to see our network here--so all it really has to do is connect to the Version Cue server's IP address.  This set up worked fine when the machine was a Windows XP based machine, but since the changeover, InCopy doesn't seem to be reading the assignment files correctly.  For example, on an Indesign File the copy fits fine and dandy in the layout, and the assignment looks okay when I open it up on InCopy over here.  When InCopy opens it up on the Windows 7 machine, the body copy is invariably 3-5 lines over and any formatting changes made from the Windows 7 machine, like changing words to italics, won't be reflected on the updated assignments file. (I confirmed this by emailing our West Coast editor the assignment file directly and InCopy CS3 still wasn't reading it correctly.)  Also, at one point we apparently lost some big changes made over the weekend but changes like new headlines held.  Any ideas on why this is happening?
Also, and I'm not sure this is related, but since we installed our new RV082 router, we've been getting strange "Version Cue server offline messages" every so often, and then when we go into a project Version Cue suddenly reads it as "online and connected" again. InDesign CS3 often hangs whenever we try to open up a file on the Version Cue server.  The only way we've been able to get InDesign to start up is to delete the recovery folders and synchronize everything first--this, needless to say, has been a bit of a time waster.
All our programs are CS3 and except for the West Coast machine, all are running Windows XP pro.
    Thanks for your help!

We are installing and using the software under the administrator logins.
My main concern is that we purchased computers that have a processor that is incompatible with Adobe InCopy/InDesign CS3.   We purchased two types of PC's, some with AMD Atholon II processors and some with Intel Core2 vpro processors.  InDesign/Incopy CS3 were going to go on the Intel's (more power computer) and the InCopy was going to only go on the AMD's.
Prior to receiving the CS3 versions of the software, I hadn't been aware that was the version we were being assigned by our corporate office.  After looking at the requirements of CS3 on the adobe site, it only mentions Intel Processors as basic requirements.
(We purchasd the computers with AMD's to save some money....the users requiring InCopy didn't need "as much computer" as the InDesign users).
Could the processor be the problem?

  • Can't connect - self assigned IP

I'm not very computer savvy, I have G4 powerbook and airport express. Blueyonder broadband (wire from wall into box, cable from box to computer) I have never managed to get it working wirelessly as I spend all day trying then get frustrated and give up.
Any ideas why it keeps having a self assigned IP address??

I have the same problem, but a slightly different setup. I have an iBook G4 with Airport Extreme, a PowerMac G4 with an 802.11g PCI card, a clamshell iBook G3 with an Airport card (802.11b), and a Netgear MR814 802.11b router (SSID Silverbox). The PowerMac G4 and iBook G3 work flawlessly with the router. The iBook, after long sleeps, gets the dreaded message:
"Airport is connected to the network Silverbox. Airport has a self-assigned IP address and may not be able to connect to the Internet."
I cannot get to the Internet, nor to the router. It says I am connected to the router, but cannot bring up it's admin panel (yet I can on the wireless PowerMac or clamshell iBook.)
I've read tons of suggestion on what to do, but nothing works. It seems to have appeared since maybe a Airport update(?) The problem is fixed if I restart the router, but that is truely a hassle, and disrupts the connection of other computers. To make matters further confusing, I can connect to other access points around my neighborhood, and obtain an IP perfectly, but when I try mine, I get the "self-assigned." It would appear that the router (and it's DHCP feature) is not providing IP addresses, but it is to my other two computers. It's almost like the Airport Extreme card, and the Netgear 802.11b router don't want to play well with each other. I've had this iBook since June 2005, and the problem has only popped up in the past 2 months. The only thing which has changed (that I know) is that the base station was moved to a new house, with many access points available. I am sure the channel is different from all the other access points, but could that be conflicting somehow? And if so, why is it not affecting my clamshell iBook G3 or PowerMac G4?
I am at my whits end. Apple support will not provide help, and I cannot replicate the problem at the Apple Store. So, is the problem my router or my Airport Extreme card? If the router work with my other computers, then that can't be the culprit, however if my iBook G4 will connect to other wireless networks, then it can't be the Extreme card.
