if it should be on the Application Server what should be the CONNECTION PARAMETER

i have a great problem with this.Please give me the reply as early as possible.
the document sent by you says that : we have to use the COONNECTION PARAMETER "TNS Alias".

Reconfiguring Database connection procedure.

Hi All,
If my database server name and IP address change, to reconfigure database connection of P6 we client,
I need to run dbconfigpv.cmd.
After running this file and entering all details of new databse at next stage what to select between below two options:
1. Existing Configuration
2. Create New configuration
Do i need to do any other change ?
In P6 Optional client, I simply need to create new configuration?

Hi,
Once you have run through dbconfigpv.cmd it will update BREBootstrap.xml file with the new database details.
When you run adminpv.cmd it will look at this and connect to the new database.
After you've logged into adminpv.cmd you will want to update the following:
Configurations->Primavera P6 Configuration->Database->Instance[1]->Driver Class & URL->URL
You might have a slightly different name to 'Primavera P6 Configuration'
You might have more than one Instance[x] under the configuration - check the URL for all of them.
BTW to edit a field either triple click or highlight it and press F2.

DB Connect Procedures

Hi,
There is oracle database from which we are extracting the data into our BI Development system.
Now we have finished development of cubes and loaded the data into BI development and want to move into TEST environment.
My question is currently under user name "TEAMBIUSER" we are extracting the data into BI DEVELOPMENT. For Test environment what should be procudre to establish the connection to the same source system.
Can the same user name exists in both the environments and extract data to different systems?
or
we need seperate user details for different SAP System?

Hi,
I asked basis regarding the connection and they said that they dont have knowledge on connecting the external systems (New basis guy) and he has asked me for some basic inputs.
I check the log in the bi and the following is the error
Database error 12154 at CON
> ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier
I searched in google and found some information about "TNSNAMES.ORA file). How do we maintain this directory in BI..Is it at database level? I know its too technical for BI forum. But still wanted to try.
Do you have any answer for DATE issue?

How to connect HP Officejet Pro 8610 to a Laptop that's not connect to the internet

Just bought the HP Officejet Pro 8610 all-in-one for the local Historical Society. Neither the laptop nor the printer will be connected to the Internet. The printer will only be used for printing reports, scanning images, etc.
I have just removed the instruction manual to familiarize myself with the connecting procedure but I notice there are several references that require internet access.
Is there a work-around that allows me to install/connect the printer without requiring access to the internet?

Hi,
How many computer will be using the printer ? If only one the USB (you may have to buy a cable) is the way to go. You can also use wireless direct to print but this is not reliable:

Based on your description, I have done a test and I can’t reproduce your issue.
I have used SharePoint Designer 2013 to open a SharePoint Online site and there are no issues.
I’d like to clarify whether you encounter any issues when accessing SharePoint Online sites. If there are no issues during the accessing procedure, SharePoint Online service should be working fine at your side. The issue may be caused by specific SharePoint
Designer client or network. I suggest you refer to the following steps to troubleshoot the issue.
1. Use SharePoint Designer to open another site and check whether it is successful.
2. When you are prompted to enter Office 365 account and password, try other users’ accounts and select the remembering the credential.
3. Perform the connection procedure under another environment and verify whether the issue is resolved.
If the issue persists, can you provide related screenshots for further troubleshooting?

When sending attachments in Gmail in FF, my internet connection breaks

When I try to send an attachment of any type in gmail in Firefox as a browser the attempt stalls, fails and then my internet connection breaks. I've googled this and no one else seems to have this issue. It seems local to my desktop and I've reinstalled FF and tried the beta for 4.0 and it still happens without fail.
It doesn't matter what kind of attachment or size, this happens when I try to send attachments in Gmail.

For what it's worth, I've seen this exact problem from Internet Explorer 8:
 
1. start a new email at the Gmail site in the web browser 
2. click "attach a file" 
3. select a file in the file dialog box & click OK 
4. network connection immediately drops. (I've been pinging Google in the background and the ping gets interrupted exactly when I click OK." 
5. Network connection is down until I go through the Windows 7 "repair network connection" procedure. Apparently the network gateway is lost. 
When this happened, I tried attaching the same file to an email using a *different* Gmail account, and it worked. 
I think this is either a problem with the ISP (Earthlink / Timewarner) or Google. I don't think IE or Firefox is causing the problem.

How to retrive data through stored procedure in mysql from remote machine?

I am having problem in accessing data of mysql through stored procedure. It works fine if I use "jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/[database name]" instead of "jdbc:mysql://[IP address]:3306/[database name]". The connection is fine for both, but when stored procedure is called the system stops at "stmt.execute();" line in java file while debuging. In case of localhost there is no any problem. The code for connecting procedure is:
stmt = dbConn.prepareCall("{? = call testing()}"); stmt.registerOutParameter(1, Types.VARCHAR); stmt.execute();
I have to connect java application running in Windows to the mysql database running in remote machine(RHEL 5).
I am using "mysql-connector-java-5.1.5-bin.jar", jdk 1.5.0 and remote database Mysql version : 5.0.22.
There is no exception and application hangs at stmt.execute();

Can't get a windows operated laptop to connect my network

I have the following set-up: iMac + MacBook pro with Time Capsule. A network has been created protected WPA2. I am trying to connect laptops operated by Windows XP SP2 for one and XP Pro for the other. The connection procedure seems to stop when the network and the laptops are registering the IP adress with the impossibility to read the IP adress.
Anybody can help?

Basically it is all ok but your last line. When going to:
Time capsule>Internet>internet connexion and connexion sharing then it was "disabled". So i have choosen the suggested option "share a public IP address". By doing that I need to update Timecapsule. When doing the update TC is saying that the following two problems need to be corrected before updating TC. The two following elements are listed, they are called First DHCP adress and second DHCP adress. Then it is saying that the DHCP range I have keyed in is in conflict with the IP address WAN of my wireless apple device. I promise I didn't do that! Then it is quoting the first address: 192.168.1.2
Then there is a possibility to update. I try it after i send the current message.

N95 connection with Toyota TNS510 Nav disconnects ...

Recently bought Toyota Verso incl. a SatNav TNS510. The N95 should be able to work with th BT connection according all spec-sheets.
The sheets mention older Firmwire versions (I am using the V31.0.017).
After the initial connection, it is interrupted after about 20 min. (sometimes when signal when battery is full loaded).
The reconnection after restarting fails and can only be accomplished by simultaneous connection of TNS510 and N95. Still the connection is only temporary.
I tried a 6300 model and this one does not give any problem.
I expect a bouncing answer from Toyota and it must be due to the N95 seeing other phones don't have this problem. I can't find any issues by googling.
Maybe someone knows and it is just about a setting?

I face exactly the same problem when pairing my E71 with my TNS510. It can connect when setting it up, but next time entering the car is disconnects, so I have to start up the connection procedure manually each time.
Also, I face that it disconnects without notice after e.g. ½ hour or so from time to time. Also, when receiving a SMS it disconnects.
Talking to Nokias support in Denmark, they are aware that with E71 there are a number of connectivity issues via Bluetooth, but despite of their friendly associates, they are not able to solve this. The best advice the Nokia associate could provide was to contact some of their business centre, who install the car-kit equipments, to see if some of them working with this in practice had solved the issue.
I did - and spoke to 5 of them - and two of them said, that the E71 runs with Bluetooth 2.0, and if the TNS510 runs Bluetooth 1.2 - it makes problems. Despite that 2.0 units should be backwards compatible, - it won't, they said.
I have tried to connect with a Nokia 6500 to my TNS510, and it works perfect. Checking the technical specs at Nokias website - it says the 6500 runs BT 1.2!!!.
Checking the Toyota website - there is a compatibility site, where you can check if your mobile works with your TNS510. A green "check" if OK, and a red cross if it doesn't. Checking my E71, it has red crosses for all the 8-10 features that apply, and the 6500? - a nice green check!.
Picking up a random list of all mobile phones with red crosses - they are BT 2.0, and the ones with green checks - they are BT 1.2.
Back into the TNS510 250-pager manual - no info about BT version, but my - in any cases premier class -Toyota dealer checked it out with the Danish Toyota importer, and the answer was, - ? Yes, you are right: BT 1.2!!
So, I'm convinced that it is here the issue is based. The BT 1.2 in the TNS 510 simply doesn't work with the BT 2.0 in the E71!
The Nokia Business centre - both - said to me, that it was quite unlikely that the TNS510 was running BT 1.2, as it is quite new - launched in the end 2008/start 2009 - and this older technology was left years ago, in accordance to the specialists.
Back asking my super Toyota dealer - he spoke to the importer - to find out two things: 1. Why it runs BT 1.2?, and 2: Is it possible to get the TNS510 upgraded into BT 2.0? (because in accordance to Nokia you can't downgrade your E71 from BT 2.0 to BT 1.2).
The answer to running 1.2. was, that the navigation system - which is a part of TNS510 is connected to the engine computer system, and allowing the BT 2.0 to the Bluetooth part of the TNS510 it would create potential risk for interruption in the engine computer system - from virus or likely bad things from the E71- cause BT 2.0 is a more open and speedy connection than the BT 1.2. I have no reasons to believe that my dealer is giving me wrong information, but I have major difficulties in understanding why the manufacturer of the TNS510 isn't able to separate the Bluetooth part from the navigation part of the unit. We got a man at the Moon in '69, and safe back, and Toyota can't get this to work 40 years after.......
About upgrading TNS510 into Bluetooth 2.0, - the answer was that there was no actual plans :-(
However, my Toyota dealer meet up with the usual spirit of complete customer satisfaction, and said that the right and formal way was to raise a "technical notification" to the importer, which will be gathered together and provided to the European Toyota centre in the end. And so he has done, and I'm just hoping that it will make a change.
So, - Dear suffering TNS510 fellows, including you Bart! - If you face the same issue between your Toyota Navigation System TNS510 and your E71 (or any other Bluetooth 2.0 phones - Nokias N and E series are in general running BT 2.0), and realise that it is caused from BT 1.2 and BT 2.0 incompatibility - please go to your Toyota dealer, and ask him to raise a "technical notification". As more we are in Europe who make this claim - as higher attention we can bring into this issue from Toyotas side - leading Toyota into solving our problems in upgrading the TNS from Bluetooth 1.2 to Bluetooth 2.0.

My internet connection is Airport - how to share to my LAN

Our internet connection is unusual - always via Airport wi-fi as we live on our boat!
How do I set up Internet Sharing via either ethernet (preferred) or Firewire to the other Tiger & XP computers on our LAN?
On earlier OS X versions I've followed the simple "Sharing your Internet connection" procedure, which worked fine (my recall is I had to use manual IP addresses for the LAN side).

Now on 10.4.3 I can't get it to work with the LAN running on either ethernet or Firewire. My config is
G4->internet, Airport DHCP (en1) 192.168.1.100/255.255.255.0/router 192.168.1.1
G4->LAN, DHCP Manual (en0) 192.168.2.1
G4- Firewall off (to simplify)
G4- Internet Sharing: Share Airport to Built-in Ethernet
G4- Services: Personal Web Sharing, Printer Sharing
iBook->LAN, Ethernet (first port) Manual 192.168.2.3/255.255.255.0/router 192.168.2.1
iBook-> Services: Personal File Sharing
The iBook can ping G4 at 192.168.2.1
The G4 cannot ping iBook at 192.168.2.3
I've first tried both G4 & iBook ethernet TCP/IP set to DHCP, that didn't work either.

You shouldn't set anything for that port.
How can you have an active port that is not configured? Also when you add the ethernet port its default config is DHCP. I.e., turn off the port, then add it back.
I just did that ethernet port test - oddly, this time Network panel shows using DHCP, but has no IP info filled in.
The G4's Ethernet port is acting as an output port.
How can another CPU on the LAN send packets via the G4 to the net if the G4 ethernet port is "output only".
If you set it up as I described above and the iBook
does not get on the internet, you can try manually
entering DNS information in the iBook.
I just tried that. First using opennic public DNS like 64.151.103.120, no joy. Then I tried the DNS as shown by System Profiler. That didn't work either.
Back to basics: every time I've successfully configured internet sharing in the past, I could always verify the LAN connectivity by pinging both ways. If the "client" iBook and XP machines cannot ping the G4 I do not see how they can reach the wi-fi access point.
Well, duh... the iBook couldn't lookup apple.com. So I did the lookup on the G4, to try pinging the IP from iBook directly. That worked. Then lookups started working on the iBook - which is now net connected!
What the ....?
