DB disk space problem with upgradation from oim 9.1 to oim 11.1.1.5

Hi All,
Aim: we have to upgrade oim9.1 to oim 11g, with new data cente ( we are doing this in DEV env)
constraint: DB diskSpace is 30 GB
As part of upgradation, we have to import the existing oim 9.1 Db to new DB, Here we faced the size problem, our Dev DB data size is 100GB (which is going to import into new DB), but new DB disk space is 30GB only.
Which tables, do we need to truncate, so that It should not effect upgradtion( we should not miss, oim objects other than User/log inforamtion)?
Do OIm11g(11.1.1.5.0) has any constraints over DB size with 30 GB?
Please suggest me.

The UPA tables are audit related. I doubt you could truncate any of the others and not affect something else.

Samsung SSD causing problem with upgrade from Windows 8.0 to 8.1

I'm having trouble upgrading my HP Desktop from the OEM installed Windows 8.0 to 8.1. I first attempted the upgrade when 8.1 was first rolled out. It seemed to upgrade okay, but after a reboot I was left with a black screen... no error messages, just a black screen.
I retried it this morning, but this time it failed with DPC_Watchdog_Exception and then Machine_Check_Exception. After searching through several forums, I'm "guessing" it may be Disk 0, which is a Samsung 830 Series SSD (Model: MZ7PC256/0H1, s/n: S0U3NSAC705912, p/n: MZ7PC256HAFU-000H1) that was installed and configured by HP when I ordered this desktop in 2012.
Samsung's Magician software doesn't recognize this SDD as a supported product, but they do identify it as a Samsung MZ7PC256HAFU-000H1, with Firmware version CXM05H1Q. I thought I'd see if a firmware upgrade was available, but there's no information about this SSD on Samsung's support site. Also, HP doesn't offer any firmware for this SSD... not even the original firmware. Everything I've seen on the internet says it's a custom OEM SSD that's not supported by Samsung.
I'm not desparate to upgrade to Win8.1, but I would like to know exactly why the upgrade keeps failing. I have another SSD available (a Samsung 850 Pro, model: MZ-7KE256BW) that I've considered using to replace the current Drive 0, but I hate swapping out parts without knowing it's actually the problem.
I'm open to advice. The info on my current system follows. Also, I should point out that there are no device conflicts nor outdate drivers.

Hi,
You will find the latest firmware for the Samsung 830 at the Samsung SSD download site. Additionally, you will also find the latest version of the Samsung Magician.
Backup your data and be sure to create the external HP recovery media.
I prefer not to clone but rather to use the external HP recovery media to load the SSD.
If you are not on the latest SSD firmware then flash the SSD. Use the latest version of the Magician to do so.
Disable Secure Boot in the BIOS before cloning the hard drive.
Then reformat and clone the SSD using the latest Samsung migration software. Use the original HP hard drive as the source and it needs to be intact as you need to bring across all of the partitions.
Power off the PC and disconnect the original boot HD.
Connect the SSD to the original boot SATA port.
Do not have any other SSDs or hard drives connected that contain an EFI partitions or you might run into issues with multiple Windows boot loders.

There are probably null in OOIN.U_PRX_SID.
If this is the case. Just change them to '0' and you should be good.

Problem with Upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10

I tried to get Windows 10 on my Probook 4540s and it downloads fine. It then checks the software on the computer and find a program that is not compatable and says I must uninstall it to continue. I would uninstall it but want to be sure I am noy going to cause more issues by doing so. The program that it does not like is the HP tools software, it includes the biometric scan and such. Would it be safe to uninstall these or should I wait to see if there will be a workaround for this issue.

There is no workaround other than removing it as suggested, that software is not compatible with W10 and never will be.

10.1.3.3 setup Java problem when upgrading from 10.1.3.2

The documentation is old what you can download! So I cannot find anything.
The Infrastructure Installation and Configuration Guide is for 10.1.3.2.1 and from april 2007
The Infrastructure Upgrade Guide goes from Siebel to OBI and from december 2006
The problem is
I have a fully functional 10.1.3.2 with all Java and everything.
When I start the server install I get the following error in a small window:
Java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: run Exeption in thread "main"
Where should I look? Should I uninstall the previous version?

I had the same problem when I did the upgrade the very same day of the release. And the solution for me was to login using my battery. For some reason, GDM won't let me in if I'm plugged (I know it sounds crazy, but it works for me)

I have problem with upgrade Windows 2003 to Windows 2008 R2
When I run installer it check compatibility drivers and programs after that appear message that I need to uninstall "adaptec storage manager" but I already remove this driver from the system and registry.
Any ideas to solve this problem?

Not sure if this issue was solved or no longer relevant, but I had the same issue with the same IBM x3500 server type.
Based on the SETUPACT.LOG output from the Server 2003 to 2008 upgrade compatibility check, the problem was that the driver AACMGT.SYS is unsigned, and hence not acceptable for running in Windows Server 2008.
AACMGT.SYS is a part of IBM ServeRAID but unfortunately, even the latest versions 9.3 to not seem to update or replace this file. It's also possible this file is a residue of an earlier, deprecated version of ServeRAID, I don't know.
In the end, to get passed the Upgrade check hard stop, I did this, though I'm not sure if all steps are needed:
0. Make sure you have a system backup in case you break something doing this steps. If you do break your system and cannot recover from backups, it's not my fault!
1. Go into Device Manager --> Disks and check the Driver properties for the disks on your system. You might have AACMGT.SYS listed for some/all disks and also listed as unsigned.
2. Uninstall IBM ServeRAID from the system, just in case
3. Do into Device Manager and go under Disks, and manually Uninstall all the disks in the list including "AdaptecArray SCSI Disk" and some other secondary. I did not reboot right away.
4. Go to console, go into C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS, and rename AACMGT.SYS to something else.
5. Reboot the system and hope it still boots. Go into Device Manager -> Disks and make sure that AACMGT.SYS is no longer listed.
6. Run the 2003 to 2008 Upgrade process again. The Compatibility checker should no longer flag "Adaptec Storage Manager" as a blocker.

Erroneous "insufficient disk space" error with WaveStudio 7

This has been bugging me for over 2 years. I get the "Insufficient disk space" error with Vista x32 and x64 and now with Windows 7 x64 when I've edited a wav file and then try to save it. I have plenty of disk space.
I've searched till I'm blue in the face but cannot find an answer and am tired of the lame work-around. I know how to copy and paste the entire edited wav into another file and then save it. It's annoying, but it works. What gets me is why is this not fixed?
Running CTWave.exe as administrator does not work. Running in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode does not work.
I have been a faithful Creative Labs user for more years than I care to remember, but this one is shaking my faith. Is there anybody who can explain why this happens, or offer a fix?

You may wish to try these steps in order to solve your issue:
1. Make sure your computer has the latest Java runtime. To do this, just google search "Download Java", go to the first URL and download that free software. This step should solve most of the "insufficient disk space" problems.
2. If step 1 failed to work, you can open "My computer", right click on the hard disk you were trying to write your files into. From the "File System" tab, check to see it's "NTFS" but not "FAT32".
3. If the above two steps do not work, try creating a new partition from your primary hard disk. To do this, click "Start" -> then right click "My Computer" -> "Manage" -> "Disk Management" -> Make sure you shrink a new volume for at least 50 GB to 100 GB free disk space, again please have the NTFS file system. Once you successfully created this new partition, do a format then try writing your music files onto this Disk.
4. I think the above 3 steps are able to solve your issue. However, there's a bug I found sometime back when Win 7 first released. You can try creating a "temp" folder in your primary system drive, writing any files in there should have no problem as long as disk space is sufficient.
5. I certainly do not hope that error was caused by your anti-virus programme, but if all failed, you may want to consider temporarily disable your anti-virus software, and if everything works fine, you might want to switch to a new anti-virus programme.

Best strategy for iPhoto Disk space problems

My wife is a shutter bug. She has about 20000+ pictures and growing fast. She also has an HD camera.
So, disk space is an issue for us (500G iMac)
Current iPhoto library is big (190G) and growing fast.
What is the best solution to solve the out "iphoto library disk space problem"?
1. Get a really good USB drive and put the iPhoto library on that?
2. Get a NAS drive and put the iPhoto library on that?
3. Split the libraries and remote the old ones and keep the new one local?
4. Another option that I am not aware of?
I tried some tests on a nice NAS solution (Netgear ReeadyNAS Ultra) and iPhoto seems to run really slowly from the mounted NAS drive.
Any recommendations appreciated.

Problems with upgrading firmware in Zen Micro 4

I am currently having a problem with upgrading the firmware on my Zen Micro 4 GB. The Zen Micro seems to hang right after the first reboot, therefore not finishing the whole upgrade. I am currently trying to upgrade to 2.2.02. It seems that whenever I try to reboot the Zen Micro while it is connected via USB, it hangs at the Creative Logo and I have to end up resetting the system. Oddly enough, I have a second Zen Micro that I was able to upgrade the firmware with no problems whatsoever. Any suggestions?

Try using reload OS in the recovery mode to erase the current firmware, then connect to the PC and reload. You take a risk doing this though as if the firmware won't reload from the PC you'll be left with an effecti'vely useless player, and you'll have to contact support to get a replacement.

Windows 8.1 Problem with games from windows store.

I've got a problem with games from windows store. The installation is going well without any problems, however when I try to open it it's loading and then it turns off. The same problem happens when I try to use Games for Windows. I've use a sfc scan and

According to my experience, the problem like store game app open failed probably caused by hardware driver. such as Audio and Graphic driver. So, first of all, please try to reinstall these two driver to fix this problem for test.
In addition, for SFC scan failed problem, it can be caused by many reasons, I would suggest you use another command to fix your system for test.
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
Also you can test SFC command in Windows 8.1 safe mode.
Thirdly, if problem persists, please check Event Viewer, generally speaking, it would record the app open failed events.

Thats the ugliest code I've seen in a while and may be hampering your abilities to debug it. No offense - you have to start somewhere - think of it as somewhat constructive criticism.
However, I cannot find any place where this is happening. Its happening on line 193.
Also, this only happens when you try to move certain pieces to certain squaresThat might be a clue. Try printing out the indexes before line 193 and see what happens. Maybe use a debugger to step through your code.
