DB Enterprise Manager displays wrong values

Hi,
I modified the size of db_recovery_file_dest_size from 10GB to 15GB and manually deleted the archive log files (size 9.7GB) from destination and also restarted the DB. Even then the enterprise manager displays the free space as only 5GB instead of 15GB.
Please provide suggestions.
DB version: 10.2.0.2.0

Thanks for the tips - but:
I never deleted the archivelogs - I increased the db_recovery_file_dest_size parameter - this is on ASM so the RMAN backups clear the archive logs after the backup. So there's > 40GB free, but OEM doesn't see that - even on the Individual Metric screen it thinks it's 90% full when it's more like 5%.
This isn't dbconsole, is it? It's grid control... I don't know if that matters, but it has been restarted - the RAC DB has also been restarted.
I really don't want to drop and re-add the target - this is a production instance and has a number of jobs associated with it.
Is there a way to clear the alert and have it re-check?

Logging in Enterprise Manager by wrong username and password?

Kindly, some one explain that why I am able to login in to Enterprise Manager (stand Alone - Mode) by any wrong username and password as sysdba privilege.

If you have the privilege to connect without userid/password (i.e. connect / as sysdba works), userid/password is irrelevant (because you don't need to know neither a valid user nor a valid password, Oracle says, you may type in what you want, nothing or anything else).

Cost in document currency is displaying wrong values

Hi Experts,
We have observed for some of the documents in VF03, cost is coming wrong.
Scenario :
When we are going to VF03 screen Cost in document currency is some value, when we click on the material and go to condition tab and then come back to previous screen, Cost in document currency is some other value.
For Ex : For Billing Document A, intially Cost - 1000 when we clikc on the material and go to condition table and then come back, then the cost - 500.Document type is Z document type. For only some documents we are getting this kind of error.

Purge your cache in rpd and try to see the grand total once again. For me data is displaying properly now.

List manager displaying view value and not return value

Hello,
I'm using a list manager based on pop-up LOV. When I click on an item on the pop-up window, the window is closed and the return value is inserted in the page textbox. I would like to have (as expected) the view value, and have the return value used just as field value during form submit.

Unfortunately, you can't. The way to do it is to return the display value into the List Manger item and then use the APEX_UTIL.STRING_TO_TABLE function to loop through the values and fetch the IDs. You will need to make sure the LOV items are unique and don't contain any colons.

Pop-up list manager displaying "return value" instead of "display value"

Hello,
I'm using a list manager based on pop-up LOV. When I click on an item on the pop-up window, the window is closed and the return value is displayed in the page list. I would like to have (as expected) the display value otherwise a user who accesses the detail of a record can just see codes (no meaning) and can't understand nothing. The return values should be used just for database storage as expected in a database application environment.
The behaviour should be like the one of "POPUP Key LOV (display descriptions, return key values)"...where in the textbox I can see the description but I send the key to the database.
I could use a multislect list too (which allows to display descriptions instead of codes) but in this case another problem arises: if I have lots of items the user has to scroll the list to see which items have been selected.
Any other solution to allow a user to see (and print) the content of "multiple" fields (descriptions, not codes)?

BEx Displays Wrong Values After Reloading InfoCube

I am very new to all of this, so there is a good chance I have just done something stupid. I have an InfoCube in which I deleted all of the data, and then reloaded it with corrected data from the PSA. If I look at the raw data in the InfoCube, it looks fine. If I run a query with either BEx Analyzer or BEx Web Analyzer, key figure data is doubled, as are the result rows. I believe it has to do caching for that particular Query, because I can create a new one and it will display the data correctly. Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this to happen? Or how to clear out the cache?

Well, by the time I got back to look at it, it was working fine. Which told me it was related to caching. So I decided to recreate it. In order to do this, I cleared out the request from the InfoCube, and then went and modified a few rows in the PSA. After the DTP, I once again checked the Query and it was wrong. I first checked the Request IDs, and I only had the new one. I then went into RSRT and deleted just the cache for that query. After that, the query was working again! Thanks for your help.
Now my questions are how long does it take for the cache to recycle, and what actions can prompt it to recycle (such as changing the query)?

Aggregation displays wrong value

based on 3 columns,I have done agregation like below
a=column1*column3 (result comes correct)
b=column2*column3 (result comes correct)
c=a/b (result wrong)
Something like this i have used : (column1*column3)/(column2*column3)
can i know why it comes wrong

I must correct what I said in the last post. The correct statement is: When a region is rendered, the items in that region obtain their values and those values are also copied to session state. They can be referenced on the page after that point. What is inconvenient is that after an automatic row fetch process has already executed, e.g., before header, you can't reference the associated items to obtain the fetched values until after the items are assigned values during the rendering step. That's what we hope to fix.

is not display in pay slip. But it add in cluster table.
What to do? to get proper values.

This query is really not clear. /552 is basically sum of /551 of retro periods processed during payroll run of current period - with a reverted sign. It will be included in bank transfer (/559) or cash payment (/557) wage types. Usually these wage types are posted. So /552 may not be configured for posting. Depends on configuration.
Independent of posting, it will always be part of cluster (RT cluster table).

can i ask 1 more question ?
im having problems declaring the size of the ring buffer queue, is my method below correct ? Because i tried enqueue more than 5 objects and it still seems fine to me. Is there another method of declaration ? please advice.

Your container is backed by a linked list data structure, there is no need for an array. And as far as I can see, you never use that array try commenting out the array deceleration, most probably your code would work just fine.

Cannot connect to Enterprise Manager. Displays Enterprise Manager(null)

I have downloaded and installed VMware, Oracle 10g RAC and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 using Disk1 and Disk2.
All seemed fine. However I cannot log on to the Enterprise Manager nor start the listener nor any instance of the database
I got the error message below when I tried starting an instance of the Database. The Enterprise Manager displays "

If you read the README you'll see that the recommended way is to not bother downloading VMware, just use OUI to install it, it will fix the subnet mask to 192.168.203.0. If you still choose to install on your own, please refer to the readme for details on how to manually fix it.
It is also safe to install VMware in this fashion even if you already have it installed, just to get the subnets correct. Without this step, as you can see, nothing works inside the VM. This is because we are using fixed IP addresses and the randomly chosen subnet number doesn't match what we expect.

Oracle Database 11gR1 Enterprise Manager Console Cannot Display in Browser

Hello. I am running Oracle Database 11gR1 with Operaing System Oracle Linux 5. I have some issues regarding EM connects with the Database Server as below:
First, the default listener is LISTENER with standard port number 1521 and protocol TCP/IP.
Its corresponding service naming S1 is with port 1521 and protocol TCP/IP and hostname localhost.localdomain.
I run this listener in the following way:
Step 1: [user@localhost bin]./lsnrctl start LISTENER (This command runs sucessfully.)
Step 2: [user@localhost bin] ./sqlplus SYS/SYS as sysdba (This command starts sqlplus sucessfully.)
Step 3: [user@localhost sqldeveloper] ./sqldeveloper.sh (This command invokes SQL Developer sucessfully.)
But when start Enterprise Manager Console, it cannot connect with the Database. I do it in this way:
[user@localhost bin] ./emctl start dbconsole
The above command's output is:
https://localhost.localdomain:1158/em/console/aboutApplication
Starting Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g Database Control ... ...
When open the link https://localhost.localdomain:1158/em/console/aboutApplication in browser, this message comes up:
The connection to localhost.localdomain: 1158 cannot be established.
Thus, I add Port Number 1158 into both LISTENER and Service Naming S1. I run ./emctl start dbconsole again and get this message:
The connection to localhost.localdomain:1158 was interrupted while the page was loading.
In order to solve the above issue, I create another listener LISTENER2 and another Service Naming S2 with Port Number 1158 and protocol TCP/IP because
in my point of view, each listener only can have one Port Number(1521 or 1158) and its corresponding Service Naming (S1 or S2) need to have the same Port Number and Protocol (TCP/IP).
But when I run [user@localhost bin]./lsnrctl start LISTENER2, this message comes up: the listener supports no service.
From the message, it seems that LISTENER2 cannot work with its corresponding Service Naming S2 with Port 1158.
EM with Port 1158 cannot display in Browser.
My questions are :
First, Is there any relationship needed to be established between listener(LISTENER2) and Service Naming(S2) in order to display EM in Browser ?
Second, how do folks display EM in browser ?

Enterprise manager 11g doesn't display

Why are you accessing via IP address ?
Try using https://SZAJHBODW01.zacca.af.lafarge.net:5500/em/console/
emctl status dbconsole
Did you check the logs ?

Where to find sensor values in Enterprise Manager

Hi,
I followed the instruction from (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/integration.1111/e10224/bp_sensors.htm) to add sensors to my BPEL process. Where do I navigate to find the sensor values in Enterprise Manager?
I also notice in SOA Composite screen (Farm_soa_domain > SOA > soa_infra (soa_server1) > default > My_Composite), when clicking on instance ID link nothing happen, a bug?
I'm running on:
Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g
Oracle SOA Suite 11g (11.1.1.3)

Found the issue, Chrome browser is not fully compatible with Oracle Enterprise Manager, use Firefox instead.

Webi displays null and wrong values after BW upgraded to SP6

Hi,
Webi report retrieves blank values after BW Backend upgraded to SP6.
We were on SAP EHP 1 for SAP Net Weaver 7.0 and SP4. On the BO side we are on BO XI R/3 FP 2.1.
Once we add new filters to a simple webi query the webi displays the null values for the characteristics which already exist in the report and more ever wrong values displayed for few columns. We have checked the MDX query in BW by using 'MDXTEST' and the results are good.
It looks like that it is a rendering issue in Webi side and exactly no idea...
Can anybody know how to fix the issue or any SAP notes exists for resolving this?

Hi Ingo,
We are also facing the same issue that satya is facing.
We have developed the reports in BO XI 3.1 SP2 FP2.1 and SAP BW 7.01 EHP1 which was running correctly and showing the right result.
But we upgraded the BW system to SAP BW 7.01 SP6 and check the WebI reports which was showing the unexpected results. ( instead of n rows it shows only 1 row for any query without dimension values)
So we upgraded the BO sys to BO XI 3.1 SP2 FP 2.6 and checked the result but no luck with that also.
The workaround i found is i must need to add the Node objects from the universe in the Query which are also used in the query filter of Web Intelligence. But this is not reliable as we need to change all the developed queries.
We have also tried to perform the things shown in the notes but no MDX trace is enabling.
Please let me know if there is any other solution.
