DB-fields duplicated between FI and JVA

Hello,
I am a BW consultant and need the field "Transaction type" (RMVCT) from FI (table FAGLFLEXT) for reporting in SAP BW. I know several fields are duplicated between FI and JVA whenever a transaction is created. In JVA (table JVSO1) there is a field named "Asset Transaction Type" (ANBWA). Does these two fields hold the same value?
Is this documented anywhere? I can't find anything except general information in the documentation. I find some information on "integration activities" between FI and JVA, but nothing about the specific fields involved.

ANBWA are basically asset accounting related transaction types while RMVCT is used to report all types of movement in balances whether asset or any other accounts for consolidaiton purposes. So both these fields are not the same.

Automatic mapping of fields in transformation between DSO and Infosource.

Hello BI Experts,
When i migrate the update rule between DSO and infosource in to transformation, the log of successful copy of routines and hence the creation of transformation appears. But when i open the transformation for activating it, there is no mapping between the fields as well no routines appear.
Please suggest me the way out of it.

By the way how are you migrating the routines into BI 7 from 3.x??? And moreover the update routine has to be a local routine in BI 7 or else a start routine or else end routine??? You need to decide where it will be applicable and then copy the old code and modify it and paste the same. If you are creating any start or end routines to populate data for some object, do remember that the objects should map with any one of the object from Infosource.

Password Field not mapped between Request and Provisioning Form

Hi to all. I'm working with OIM 11g. I've faced a strange issue. I'm not sure I'm working properly, so let me explain you my case. In my installation I've got the SSH connector, which is correctly connected with the physical resources. I've loaded the resource dataset ProvisionResourceSSH User bundled with the connector. Consider now that the user "goofy", with "ALL USERS" role, tries to make a request Provision Resource SSH User (Request Based provisioning). He fills in all the field in the appropriate manner, but when OIM triggers "Create User" provisioning task, after the required approval process, the password field is always blank (although goofy filled it in!!!).
I've thought: "ok, it seems a role trouble". And effectively, if goofy has got also the role "REQUEST ADMINISTRATORS", the provisioning form shows the password field correctly valued (as goofy stated in his request).
Note that all the fields are correctly mapped between request dataset and the provisioning form (I'm using the original dataset and the original provisioning form installed by the connector). So all other fields filled by goofy on the request form (request based provisioning) are correctly passed to the provisioning form. All the fields, except for the password.
Am I wrong in something? How Could I make possible to pass the data filled on the request for the password field to the provisioning form even if the requester has not the role "REQUEST ADMINISTRATORS"?

This sure seems goofy! ;-) ... can you try making the ALL Users have all the permissions on the Resource Object and the Process Form and test it out? Also try from the backend at the database and see if the table has NULL for the password field? ... What's the type of password field in the dataset and the process form? Encrypted/Secret at both ends or mis match? Try making them plain text both the places as well.

Field Status review between Dev and Prod.

Hello All,
During solving one of the ticket, I found that there are some difference in selection of some of fields as suppress,optional and compulsory for account groups with screen layout (customers) - (T. Code - OBD2) between Development and Production server. Now I would like to test for all account groups between Prod and Development.It is taking lot of time to see screen by screen.
Can any body throw some light on this regarding any alternative way or can we download table information ?

Do same in both systems and compare.
Once you identified differences go back into the transaction as mentioned - OBD2- for detail analysis.

Phtmlb: space between Label and Field

Hello,
I am using <phtmlb:matrix> to arrange the fields next to one another on the view. For fields, <phtmlb:formLayoutInputField> is used in which case the label is taken automatically through binding to DDIC fields. At one particular row of matrix, it is required to break-up the cell in 3 more cells, so that I can display 3 fields adjacent to one another in the space of one cell. For this I am nesting one more matrix inside the outer matrix.
Something like this...

I am able to acheive the desired output of 3 fields next to one another, but facing the following problem.
To get the inner matrix(3 fields) into effect, i need to close the <phtmlb:formLayout>.
Now, the first row properly shows all the filds one below the other with proper spacing between the label and input output field.
(Actually all the input_output fileds are placed at a distance of largest text/label in one formlayout).
But when the second row starts, the spacing between label and field is no longer taken as per the first row in above case.
Is it because since a new <phtmlb:fomlayout> is started , the spacing will be as per the elements in this new formlyout. If yes, How can I assure the same spacing between elements of two different formlayouts. I tried "fieldToLabelFactor" but since no. of fields in my page is too large, I can't afford to decide this factor for every <phtmlb:formLayout>.
Or is there any better way to acheive the required output.

Events limit can only be dates between 1 and 9 on the day field

Im an student, and im trying to put my timetable into ical as did last year
it goes ok, i set it up to repit every week mondays lessons for example
but when i am trying to set up a limit for this event to repit itself ical only allows me to
put a date between 1 and 9 on the day field.
Does anyone know why is that?

The x86 architecture has a standard formatting for disks that uses up to four primary partitions on a disk. On DOS or UNIX, you can view the partitions with 'fdisk'.
This is layer that Windows and Linux tends to use for filesystems.
Solaris though uses only one of those partitions for its own use (marking it a Solaris partition) and places a label similar to that on a SPARC disk (VTOC). So within the single x86 partition are several further subdivisions (slices).
On solaris, the disk might be /dev/dsk/c0t0d0. You could access one of the Solaris (VTOC) slices as /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0. As far as I know, Linux does not understand how to address the Solaris VTOC slices (If this isn't true, I'd love to know what the syntax for doing so is).
You'd access the (non-Solaris) x86 parititions like /dev/dsk/c0t0d0p1 or so. While Linux can address extended x86 partitions, Solaris can only address primary partitions.

Need to transfer field KLABC (ABC Classification) between CRM and R/3

Hello Group,
We plan to make the R/3 field KLABC (ABC Classification) of a customer (R/3 Table KNVV, Attribute KLABC) available in SAP CRM under Customer's sales area data. It should also be maintainable in SAP CRM.
After some analysis we found out, that this field also exists in SAP CRM (Table SMOKNVV, Attribute KLABC) but it is not replicated between CRM and R/3 (and vice versa). Also this field is not displayed in SAP GUI as well as not in the PCUI.
Now we are analyzing the two options:
1) Make KLABC from table SMOKNVV available in SAP CRM (and PCUI) for maintenance and extend the Middleware to enable the replication of KLABC between CRM and R/3
2) Extend the customers sales area data in CRM (PCUI) by a new attribute ZKLABC and extend the Middleware to enable replication between R/3 KLABC and the newly created ABC attribute in CRM
We have the following questions:
- What would be the better & easier approach ? Any recommendation or comment is highly appreciated.
- If we choose option 2, to what extend would the SAP CRM Easy Enhancement Workbench (EEWB) support this development (Is it possible to extend the business partners sales area data with EEWB ? Does the EEWB also extend BDocs if you add new fields to Business Partner tables ?)

We have SAP CRM 4.0 SP8, R/3 4.7 and SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0

In CRM would make the field KLABC from table SMOKNVV available in PCUI? Or would you use the Easy Enhancement Workbench to introduce a new field?
Either way I the middleware would need to be enhanced, but I would like to understand what is easier in CRM to have the field available in PCUI.

Assignment Between Structure and Single Field - CL_ABAP_CONTAINER_UTILITIES

Hi, Need some help on this as I'm not familiar with Java programming.
Basically in ABAP, we can assign a structure (with complex data type) into a field (please refer to link below).
Now we need to do similar thing in PI, since PI only support Java then we need to perform similar logic as in CL_ABAP_CONTAINER_UTILITIES =>FILL_CONTAINER_C, but in Java. Understand that there's no concept of structure in Java, in this case PI will receive multiple fields (with different data type) and need to combine them into one field.
I tried few Java command/method but it doesnt give me the same result as in the ABAP class. Appreciate your help if you know anything about this or some sample program that i can test. thanks!

In java we have collection framework instead...
As per your requirement I understood :
1. You will get a list of different type of objects as input.
2. You want to club it in one unit....right...
3. Once done.....I dont know what you will do with that.....I guess pass it somewhere.....
Now, You can use ArrayList in java to club all your objects in one unit....and send it to any function you want....
Arraylist list= new ArrayList();
    list.add(new MachineGun());
    list.add(new Gun());
But there be carefull when you extract data from List....as you need to type cast them accordingly....
Start trying it...and revert back if you face any problems.....
While extracting you will have to use something like :
if(list.get(0).getClass().getSimpleName().equals("MachineGun")){
   //here you can safely cast in the right class
       MachineGun mgun= (MachineGun )list.get(0);

Data duplicated between Oracle GL and ERPI

We are using ERPI to load data from Oracle eBS to Hyperion Planning. (version 11.1.2.1)
Rows are duplicated between Oracle eBS GL (table GL_BALANCES) and ERPI (table TDATASEG).

If the ODI process is being started multiple times by FDM you need to update the iisproxy ini file with the following 2 lines:
HungServerRecoverSecs=3600
WLIOTimeoutSecs=3600
You may have multiple copies of the ini file on the server so do a search and update them all.

Controlling the space between label and Input field in SELECT-OPTION

I am using WDR_SELECT_OPTIONS as a used component in order to dynamically generate the Select option in my WD Component.
Can any one tell me if there is a way to control the spacing between Label and Input field? This is because rest of the UI elements are in one particular order but for this dynamically generated UI.

Hi Kavitha,
The label is required for accessibility reasons. It's not possible to remove it and to use your own label from outside the component to point to it. Labels cannot point to targets across views (and hence acress component) boundaries.

Diff. between currency and unit fields

What is the diff. between 0DOC_CURRCY and 0CURRENCY, OUNIT and 0BASE_UOM? In which scenarios do we use each of them?
I have a flat file which contains some values for sales and quantity but does not have any units. So I have to upload them using constant currency and unit. now, I have to create my own keyfigures for the sales and quantity. What currency and unit fields should I use i.e 0CURRENCY or 0DOC_CURRCY and OUNIT or 0BASE_UOM?

0doc_currency, 0currency share the same master data->0currency, 0unit, 0base_uom share the same master data->0unit, the 'basic' infoobject is 0currency and 0unit, all currency and unit will have reference to these infoobjects.
currency is used for keyfigures amount, with currency e.g usd, gbp, etc.
unit for keyfigures quantity, with unit like KG, CM etc.
currency tables are TCUR* and unit table T006*
you can use any of these infoobject currency or unit in your keyfigure (RSD2) or fix value like USD etc, normaly 0doc_currcy used for document currency; 0loc_currcy for local currency, you can create your own infoobject currency/unit with RSD3.

I am using a database view of tables VBRK and VRKPA for fetching invoice list based on the customer number. Can I use 'VBRK-RFBSK = C' to differentiate between closed and open invoices? If not is there any other field i can use from this particular view for the same.

Actually OK_CODE and SY-Ucomm are the same. But experts suggest use of OK code for following reason:
In each PAI event that a user triggers by choosing either a pushbutton on the screen or an element in a GUI status, the corresponding function code is placed into the system field SYST-UCOMM or SY-UCOMM and placed in the OK_CODE field (as long as the function code is not empty). Empty function codes are placed in neither the SY-UCOMM field nor the OK_CODE field.
In your ABAP programs, you should work with the OK_CODE field instead of SY-UCOMM. There are two reasons for this: Firstly, the ABAP program has full control over fields declared within it, and secondly, you should never change the value of an ABAP system field. However, you should also always initialize the OK_CODE field in an ABAP program for the following reason:
In the same way that the OK_CODE field in the ABAP program and the system field SY-UCOMM receive the contents of the corresponding screen fields in the PAI event, their contents are also assigned to the OK_CODE screen field and system field SYST-UCOMM in the PBO event. Therefore, you must clear the OK_CODE field in the ABAP program to ensure that the function code of a screen is not already filled in the PBO event with an unwanted value. This is particularly important when the next PAI event can be triggered with an empty function code (for example, using ENTER). Empty function codes do not affect SY-UCOMM or the OK_CODE field, and consequently, the old field contents are transported.
