Db2 migration -  /AFI/DIC_ANLA C err  in TSK file

Hello,
I am using import_monitor to import tables in to Db6 using r3load and all tables completed except SAPAPPLO and SAPAPPL1. The following is the error from the log file
Could not deactivate CLI LOAD.
(IMP) ERROR: ExeFastload: rc = 2
(DB) INFO: disconnected from DB
/usr/sap/SID/SYS/exe/run/R3load: job finished with 1 error(s)
In TSK,  I found the following
T /AFI/DIC_ANLA C err
I tried to restart it and it gave the following  error
dsql_exec_immediate returned DS_DBOBJECTEXISTS
(DB) INFO: disconnected from DB
Any help on this ?
This is on Db2, Linux and migration DB from oracle to  DB6.  I have been testing this on our sand box to figure out timing issue.
Thanks!

Hello,
You have to follow this notes
Note 1317905 - DB6: SQL0964C Transaction log full when using LOAD API
Before you start import again on the table /AFI/DIC_ANLA using R3load, drop the table manually and change the respective table in *.TSK file status err to xeq. And run again R3load import command manually.
Note 1068806 - DB6: TRUNCATE TABLE command delivers SQL3007C

  • DB2 Migration 8.2 -- 9.5 problem

    Hello,
    I'm in my 5th migration of database DB2 8.2 to 9.5.
Today as always, I used the same process of the other times.
I installed DB2 9.5 enterprise server, then I migrate the instance with db2imigr command.
The problem arose now. When I tried to migrate database it told me that
    db2 migrate database IR2
SQL1013N  The database alias name or database name "IR2" could not be found
I made a db2 list db directory and IR2 was there. So I tried to uncatalog and catalog again.
I was able to UNCATALOG but now, it's impossible to catalog db again:
    ECPEIR2:db2ir2 51> db2 catalog db IR2 on /db2/IR2
SQL6028N  Catalog database failed because database "IR2" was not found in the
    local database directory.
    Could anyone help me?
    thanks.
    regard,s
    Filipe Vasconcelos

    Hello Sameer,
    I chose to rollback migration.
    The steps I'm running are:
    1. Uncatalog the database IF IT IS NOT MIGRATED (Drop if it is migrated). Since the DB was not migrated I just can't catalog it I leave it as it is.
    2. From the new software directory (for eg: /opt/IBM/db2/V9.5/instance), drop the instance using the db2idrop command.
    3. From the old software directory (for eg: /usr/opt/db2_08_01/instance), recreate the instance using the db2icrt command.
    4. Recatalog the database IF IT WAS NOT MIGRATED (Restore if it was migrated).  In this step I have the same problem... I can't recatalog the database even with db2_08. I checked one thing weird.  When I make db2level it tells 32bits????? why? it should be 64bits!!!!
    ECPEIR2:db2ir2 11> db2level
    DB21085I  Instance "db2ir2" uses "32" bits and DB2 code release "SQL08024" with
    level identifier "03050106".
    Informational tokens are "DB2 v8.1.1.104", "s060120", "U805924", and FixPak
    "11".
    Product is installed at "/usr/opt/db2_08_01".
    5. Reimport the configuration that was backed up.
    6. Reinstall db2 license files.

  • IBM DB2 Migration

Does anyone here have experience with IBM DB2 Migration to Oracle? If so, what information can you tell me? I've read the IBM DB2 Migration Guide, but reading real success stories here would be great.
My company is exploring a couple of home-grown solutions, but it seems to me the Oracle Migration tool would be the preferred way.
    Thanks,
    Houffle

    Thanks, RP.
    1. What exactly is it that you intend to migrate? The tables and data? The stored procedures and packages? User or application code including reports that might have their own embedded SQL?
Tables - both physical and logical.  No stored triggers or procedures.  We'll be converting our RPG code, which most of he last several years has been written in SQLRPGLE, which uses embedded SQL.  The front-end GUI is written Smalltalk, they will convert to Java.
    2. Who will be architecting, designing, implementing and testing the migration? The current DB2 developers? Developers with existing Oracle expertise?
We are bringing in a consultant who specializes in replatform projects as the director.  Current DB2 developers are the guardians of the database.  Two of us have previous Oracle experience and all of us are learning more before the project kicks off.  Four team members have been on the project over 11 years.  Two other over five.  One newbie has three years.  We have two Oracle developers in our office to consult with.  hey won't be on the project, but will be our "wise men."
    3. How many mods/upgrades and new functionality will be part of this project?
Great question.  It's going over 'as is'.  We'll parallel processing for six to eight weeks and be happy if that works.  I don't think we will be utilizing the power of Oracle, due to time constraints.
In my opinion the biggest issue that needs to be well understood before you select a solution is the fundamental operational differences between DB2 and Oracle. In DB2 writers block readers so there is a lot of (or should be a lot of) manual transaction management that isn't necessary in Oracle.
We lock tables and rows as needed. Should be similar commands to issue in Oracle
Sql developer supports some migration functionality.
Yes, we'd be happy to get our data and indexes over.  That seems like a fundamental task that must be 100% accurate

    hi,
I have just bought a second hand ibook g4 osx10.4 and want to migrate some of my apps, documents and other files from my imac osx10.4.11. I will still be using my imac so want to know if its safe to use the normal migration procedure or will it delete the files and apps from their original place on the imac.
    hope that makes sense!
really appreciate some advice before i go ahead and try it!
    thanks

No everything that was on the PC remains there.

Open System Preferences and select Users & Groups. Assuming the migration was successful, you now have a new account - it was migrated. Migration Assistant doesn't copy files, it copies accounts. To see your documents you'll need to log into the account you migrated. (It has the same password it did on the other computer.)

  • DB2 migration v8.1 to v9.5 in SAP 6.40

    Hello Sirs,
I'm planning the migration of the databases of v8.1 to v9.5 in SAP 6.40.
I have a few questions regarding this issue... if anyone knows please tell me.
    1. Is there any inconvenience of having DEV system under DB2 9.5 and the other systems Productive and Quality with DB2 8.1?
    2. Does anyone found any tricky problem in this database migration 8.1 -> 9.5?
    thanks.
    regards,
    Filipe Vasconcelos

    Hi Filipe,
Once the instance is migrated to a higher release (V9.5 from V8.2) there is no way to "demigrate" it. You would need to do the following:
    1. Uncatalog the database IF IT IS NOT MIGRATED (Drop if it is migrated).
    5. Reimport the configuration that was backed up.
    6. Reinstall db2 license files.
This is obviously at a high level but covers the basic idea. Procedurally, I would suggest that you perform and document this process in the sandbox environment before upgrading your Q and P environments.
    Hope this helps,
    Sameer

  • DB2 Migration from Windows - Linux supported with Backup/Restore ?

    Hi folks,
we have to do a DB2 V9.1 migration from Windows -> Linux. Both servers are Intel based. Is it official supported by SAP to do this without SAP migration tools? E.g. with a backup/restore or redirected restore? I heard about it, but i'm not sure.
    Thanks a lot
    Jochen
Edited by: Jochen Raab on Mar 1, 2010 5:40 PM

    Hi Jochen,
Please have a look at the DB2 docu.
    http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/db2luw/v9r7/topic/com.ibm.db2.luw.admin.ha.doc/doc/c0005960.html
It clearly stats that Linux and Windows are not compatible.
DB2® database systems support some backup and restore operations between different operating systems and hardware platforms.
The supported platforms for DB2 backup and restore operations can be grouped into one of three families:
    Big-endian Linux® and UNIX®
    Little-endian Linux and UNIX
    Windows®
A database backup from one platform family can only be restored on any system within the same platform family. For Windows operating systems, you can restore a database created on DB2 Universal Database (UDB) V8 on a DB2 Version 9 database system. For Linux and UNIX operating systems, as long as the endianness (big endian or little endian) of the backup and restore platforms is the same, you can restore backups that were produced on DB2 UDB V8 on DB2 Version 9.
So you need to do an eport/import.

      Joachim

  • SAP DB2 migration to 9.5 having issues after database restore

    Hello All,
We are migrating our database from version DB2 8.2 to 9.5. We have successfully migrated our environment. Now we are trying to restore the old backup of the database (8.2) to the migrated instance. The restore worked fine but it asked us to migrate the database. When we run the MIGRATE DATABASE command it returns the following error.
SQL1704N  Database migration failed.  Reason code "17". (SYSCAT tablespace space not enough)
But to extend the tablespace we are not able to connect to the database. We get the following error if we try to connect.
SQL5035N  The database requires migration to the current release.
So we cannot run either command. Can anyone please suggest how to resolve this issue?
    Deepak

    Hello Malte,
We are using the below commands for the backup and restore.
The backup was taken when the database was still at 8.2 version
db2 "backup database QA2 online to file1,file2,file3,file4,file5,file6,file7,file8,file9,file10,file11,file12 with 8 buffers parallelism 4 without prompting"
db2 restore db QA2 from /backupold/QA2-offline taken at 20090807001234 redirect
    db2 "ALTER TABLESPACE SYSCATSPACE ADD (FILE '/sapdata8/SYSCATSPACE.container002' 1000000 K) ON NODE ( 0 )"
    db2 "ALTER TABLESPACE SYSCATSPACE ADD (FILE '/sapdata8/SYSCATSPACE.container003' 1000000 K) ON NODE ( 0 )"
    db2 restore db QA2 continue
    db2qa2> db2 restore db QA2 continue
SQL1651N  The request cannot be executed because the DB2 server version does
    not support this functionality.
Hope this helps you provide soem inputs.
    Thanks
    Deepak

  • Is it possible to access the Public Folders in Exchange 2013 during a migration from Exchange 2007 to verify the files are there?

This is a migration from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013.  We're in the middle of migrating the Public Folders.  Is it possible to configure a database to point to the Exchange 2013 public folders so I can verify the data before the final cut?
If so what are the steps to do that?  Thanks in advance.

To my knowledge no.  It's an all or nothing thing with public folders.

  • HT4796 I completed a migration of my music and photos from a PC to my new mac.  I have an error in music library that it can't find original files.  Photos migrated fine.  Where did the original files go?

I completed the migration of my music an dphotos files from a PC to my new imac.  Both transferred initally and I even synced my ipad with the imac thereby transferring most of the music to my ipad.  However now itunes says the music isn't available because it can't find the original music files.  How can i find the original files? I am getting the same error on my pc too.

They aren't in your user Music folder? Have You tried Spotlight?

  • Errors when using migration assistant - do I care about these files??

Went through the migration assistant to move files from my MBP to new iMac (21.5"). After it finished I got a message saying...
    Items not migrated
Some items on your old computer could not be transferred to your new computer:
-some files from "BIOsfile.3ssl.gz" could not be transferred.
    -same as above for "SSL_read.3ssl.gz"
anyone know if these files matter and what they are for?

They look like compressed SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) configuration files ralated to an old Linux install.
THey should be ok to not get migrated, but make sure that if you are running Linux that things work as they should in terms of networking/VPN, etc.
