DBA Cockpit shows incorrect space information

Hi all,
We have an NW04s with SP12 on Solaris 10 and Oracle 10g.  The new DBACOCKPIT is introduced with the SP which supposedly replace many of the database administratrive transasactions (db02, st04, db13, etc.).
The problem we have is the space information is not showig.  Using tcode db02 (becomes db02old in SP12) the information is still there.
The following steps that supposedly rectify the issue has been followed:
1. SAPNOTE 1027146 - Monitoring remote system prerequisites
   a. Imported the latest kernel patch.
   b. Migrate the system configuration of the old central planning calendar
2. SAPNOTE 1028624 - DBA Cockpit for Oracle
   a. SAPNOTE 706927 - Installation Script for DBA Cockpit
   b. BR*Tools 700 patch level 24
   c. SAPNOTE 1028068 - Oracle Active Workload Repository
   d. APPLIED SAPNOTE 1042725
   e. APPLIED SAPNOTE 1046668
   f. IMPORT TRANSPORT From SAPNOTE 1052909
Any input or suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Handi Cokrojoyo

I am using a macbook pro. The storage information is shown wrongly. Control I shows the correct information but finder and space bar on the hard disk show incorrect storage information. Used space is actually 122 GB which is shown as 140 GB. Even omnidiskkeeper shows the breakup of 122 GB but the storage information summary shows 140GB.

  • Creative Zen (16GB Model) showing incorrect song information

<Creative Zen (6GB Model) showing incorrect song information I was given a Creative Zen for christmas, and I'm very happy with it.
The only thing is, I've noticed that it seems to occasionally display the wrong title for the song it's playing. I have a playlist called RandomAll which I created using the Media Explorer software. Sometimes, when I look down at the player, I'll notice the wrong song information on screen. Not just the title or anything, but completely wrong information. For example, right now, my player is telling my that a Rihanna song is playing, and gives me all the details for that song (including the extended details if I go into the menu). But the song that's actually playing is a cover of Fraggle Rock by Me First & The Gimme Gimmes. It doesn't seem to be the same songs every time or anything like that, so I don't think it's a problem with the files.
Is this an issue that has been noticed by anyone else? Is there anything I can do to fix it's And if not, is it the kind of thing I need to send my player back for?

@ It could be incorrect ID3 tags on your .mp3s, if the source for your music had the wrong ID3 information, your Zen won't show the correct information unless you use an? ID3 Tag Editor to correct the source.

    Hi joannnnnnnn,
If you are using a MacBook Pro or MacBook Air with a solid state drive (SSD), you may notice some discrepancies in the available, used, and total storage reporting. If this is the case, you may find the following article helpful:

  • "other" shows wrong storage information

    Hi all,
My system is mountain lion, today I found that "other" shows zero KB. However, according to the graph bar, "other" should have almost 100 GB. So it dosen't
make sense at all for "other" only showing zero KB.. Last time I checked the storage of my laptop, "other" can indicate right storage space... I dont know what happened to my system to show incorrect storage information..
Does anyone have the situation like me before?
    Any helps appreciated!

I had exactly the same problem but with 105 GB of yellow 'other' space on a 250 GB disk .  I used Omidisk to give me a proper readout of what all the yellow was and it was mostly hidden files left by appplications I previously used that wasn't deleted when I removed them. Thunderbird mail was one of the main culprits.
If anyone knows of a good way of optimising disk space that doesn't require completely rebuilding the computer's Spotlight index then please let us know.

  • Finder showing incorrect amount of free space

After the recent Mountain Lion update, my Finder now shows an incorrect amount of free space.
    I have a 500GB hard drive, and I have about 150GB free.
After the update, finder says I have 478.4 GB free?
That looks like the total capacity, after you account for system software. I've done a PRAM and SCM reset, disk verification and repair, but still no joy.
Any thoughts? Is it a bug in the update?

Re: Hard drive available space shown incorrectly in finder Jan 12, 2012 7:35 PM (in response to ilari Korte)
This is probably like the issue that I was having on my MacBook Pro. If you are using Time Machine on a laptop it stores the diffs in a file on your hard drive. This action can be disabled with the terminal command
    sudo tmutil disablelocal
This turns the local Time Machine off. It is up to you if you want to do this, but Finder shows this space as unused since it can be overwritten when needed. It saved me over a hundred GBs of space.

  • 30gb video ipod showing incorrect storage capacity

    Hi,
I have a 30gb ipod. When I connect the ipod & open itunes or ipod updater, the ipod appears with an incorrect storage capacity.
The updater shows all other information correctly, except for Capacity, which shows at 65.0GB
With nothing on the ipod, Itunes shows used: 4.49GB, free: 58.99GB. If I try to transfer any files I get a message saying that there is not enough free space to transfer the files.
I have restored to factory settings, re-installing all software, changing usb ports etc but nothing seems to have helped...
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Check Note 1028624 - Overview of DBA Cockpit for Oracle, there's a attachment in this note with docu, also read the referred notes, This should guide you in setting it up.
In addition you can still run the old "DB02" which has moved to Tcode "DB02_OLD".

  • DBA Cockpit Options

    Hi All
I want to know more about the DBA Cockpit options, We are using Netweaver 2004's with DB2 UDB on AIX. We are on SP14 - SAPKB70014 to be exact.
I'm particularly interested in Automatic Reorg, Nickname Statistics and Reorgchk for all Tables options. How to use them and what they signify.
    Thanks in Advance
    Regards
    Kaleem

    Hi Kaleem,
here is some info for these DB13 jobs
    REORGCHK for all Tables
This job calculates the REORGCHK formula results for all tables of your SAP schema and stores these results into special SAP tables. For this, the stored procedures REORGCHK_TB_STATS and REORGCHK_IX_STATS are used. In addition, size and table status information is retrieved for each table via stored procedure ADMIN_GET_TAB_INFO and also written to these tables.
You should schedule the job regularly once a week. If you do not, you won't be able to use the 'Space->Tables and Indexes' action in the DBA Cockpit. Further, the results of this job are the basis for historization of table and indexes  size growth.
If you schedule the job, there is an option to check tables for compression. This should normally not be switched on as it is very time consuming. But you can schedule it from time to time, so that you can find candidates for compression by also using the 'Space->Tables and indexes' screen.
    AutoReorg
This job can reorganize tables and/or indexes automatically based on the results gathered by the 'REORGCHK for all tables' job. If behaves very similar to DB2 AUTOREORG. Starting with version 9 of DB2, DB2 AUTOREORG should be used instead as it is more efficient when reorganizing indexes.
Whenever you arae using some AUTOREORG feature, be aware, that you limit the size of the tables to be reorganized and the runtime. That's very important!
Scheduling is optional, it depends on your application.
    Nickname Statistics
This is a job, which simply updates nickname statistics for nicknames within your schema. It uses the DB2 procedure NNSTAT. Scheduling is optional, normally you do not need it in an SAP environment
For further information on jobs see also SAP notes 434495 and 431430.
    Best regards

  • BI Admin Cockpit Show Which Users Ran Which Queries?

My org needs an idea of which users are running which queries, and how often.  I'm looking at installing BI Admin Cockpit.  The info I am finding indicates that Admin Cockpit is more about the runtime performance of queries and extractions.  I'm not interested in that (much).  Can anyone say whether installing Admin Cockpit and the Technical Content that goes along with it will answer who is running which queries?
    Thanks.

Better to go for DBA Cockpit, which is acts like central instance to all the tools like
ST03 and RSTRACE,ST04,ST05.Where you can able to trac who is accessing the queries and what is data base performance and background job information.

  • Resolving how 3rd party apps show free space?

I've recently upgraded to Mountain Lion and am now just learning about "Local Backups" and how they work.  This seems like a pretty neat feature and great extra data protection.  However, I now have trouble with 3rd party apps that monitor and notify about free space.  (ie iStat Menus, TechTool Pro, Disk Inventory X).  As I said, I think this new feature is great for added data protection, but it seems it has a huge flaw if it is going to make all other applications show incorrect Used/Free space.  In fact, since the Local Backup seems to use as much space as it can and will only free the space as needed, it seems every application or tool will show that the disk is always on the verge of being completely full.  Has anyone found ways around this?  Or are there any good apps that monitor and/or display free space (like iStat Menus) that can account for, or rather disregard, the space being used by Local Backup in the same way that the Finder window seems to?  I hope that in future OS updates, Apple does something about this like making the space used by Local Backup hidden in some way.

Sorry, you didn't get my point:
'Unintentional' means accidentally. I always wonder how people can delete files 'accidentally', requiring trashing them and then, in a second step, empty the trash.
I do not empty my trash before having backed up, as I was pointing out. If I did, it would not be 'unintentionally'. It would be intentionally. And I should get fired. Unless I can have the backup drive there within 40 minutes.
My point is, YOU're heading to work in the morning, not having backed up for the past 2 weeks to the external disk since your backup is always with you on your 4 months old Mac, still under warranty and unlikely to break anyway. Crossing the street from the parking lot, you need to jump to avoid some crazy driver. You make it, only your laptop slips from under your arm, drops onto the tar, and worse, before you can grab it, that bus is rolling over it. The HDD/SSD/whatever is history, and so is your work and some other important coroprate docs worth 2 weeks. Will you continue to walk into the office to resign, or will you ask the bus driver to run you over as well, please?
    My view is unchanged.
Can we stop this here, please? My data is safe, and yours I've written off a while ago.

  • Logviewer 1.14 showing incorrect times, and other issues.

Couple of issues with running LogViewer, wondering if anyone can help.
First, and seems to be the most frustrating, is that the LogViewer screen is showing incorrect times for the events. I am in Mountain Time zone in the US, which is GMT-7. When looking at the log from a web browser, my router is displaying the correct time. The text file that LogViewer saves on the local computer shows the same correct time. The LogViewer screen, however, shows a time 7 hours into the future. IE, if I type out the log from a DOS window, the last event will say something like "Mar 28 1:15:05 2008", but that same event number will be listed on the logviewer screen as "Mar 28 8:15:05" Any ideas on what may be wrong and how to correct it?
Second, all events seem to be grouped exactly 3 minutes apart. I realize this is probably an effect of the router sending the information every three minutes. Anyone know of a way of changing that period?
Hm, just noticed a third, but very minor issue. The text file written has the wrong day of week on it. It's listing Mar 28 2008 as a Wednesday...
Thanks in advance for any advice.
OK, the tech info. I am running LogViewer 1.14 on a Windows XP machine, contacting an WRT55AG with firmware 1.20. The connection is through a Cat 5 cable, not through the wireless.

  • DBA Cockpit Sybase ASE - Access Plan not displayed

    Hello,
We are running SAP ECC 740 on Sybase ASE 15.7, I'd previously used DBA Cockpit to view access plans for queries prior to our ECC upgrade. Since upgrading to 740 DBA Cockpit has had a facelift, and now I can't see an Access Plan when I try clicking "Show Plan" on the cached statements or when I try clicking EXPLAIN in ST05 - I just get a red cross (see attached image).
Does anyone have any ideas about how to view the access plan? If I try a Runtime Explain I get a blue spinning half-a-loop and it just sits spinning and never displays anything.

  • How do I uninstall Mackeeper?  I have dragged it into trash, but it still showing in systems information and causing problems!

How do I uninstall Mackeeper?  I have dragged it into trash, but it still showing in systems information and causing problems!
    Please advise

How to uninstall MacKeeper - updated
    How to Remove MacKeeper
    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash.  Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder.  Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space.  If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application.  In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder.  You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder.  You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder.  Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item.  Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder.  Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences.  Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab.  Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS.  Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term.  Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default.  You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, EasyFind, instead.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder.  Usually with the same name as the program or the developer.  The item generally has a ".pkg" extension.  Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications.  Here is a selection:
        1. AppZapper
        2. AppDelete
        3. Automaton
        4. Hazel
        5. AppCleaner
        6. CleanApp
        7. iTrash
        8. Amnesia
