DBDriver failed to load dbd_oci.dll (not a valid Win32)  (WIS 10901)

Dear Gurus,
I am trying to access universe through WEB INTELLIGENCE but the connection is giving me following error
DBDriver failed to load dbd_oci.dll (not a valid Win32)  (WIS 10901)
"A database error occured. The database error text is: (CS) "DBDriver failed to load : C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\dataAccess\connectionServer\dbd_oci.dll (%1 is not a valid Win32 application.
)" . (WIS 10901)"
As per the documentation , web intelligence uses  BO server connection while tools like Designer uses local connection.
I am working on BO server only , both tool should use the same connection.
OS : MS WIndows 2003 R2 64 Bit
BO Server : bosmserv
Oracle : Oracle 10.2.0.4 , client 10.2.0.4
Connection to database schema is working through universe designer and System DSN but not through Web Intelligence.
In addition JDBC connection to the same databse schema is giving me following error CS: Java Class not found in classpath : oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver
Please suggest.
Note : I have already applied following note :
1378354 - If we create the webi document, the error occured "The specified module could not bi found(dbd_oci.dll), (WIS 10901)"
Regards
Arif

Hi All,
I had tried many ways but I still can't solve this error, can anyone tell me how to solve it?
OS of the Server: Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise 64 bits
SAP BO : BI 4.0 with SP2
DB: Oracle 11g , 64 bits
Problem: When I create a new relational connection in Information Design Tools, it pop up an error state that:
DBDriver failed to load : ...SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataAccess\connectionServer\drivers\lib32\dbd_oci.dll (%1 is not a valid Win32 application.)
So far What I had done are:
1) I checked the PATH windows variable and the D:\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\client_1\bin directory is inside the PATH.
2) Restart SIA and Server
3) I download the Install Client and this do not solve the error also.
I can connect to the Oracle by using SQLPLUS and TNSPING also can ping the oracle database.

    Hello All,
I am trying  to create a universe with Oracle as source. When I logged into Universe Designer and proceed to created a universe by selecting oracle 11 as data source, the designer throws an error:
    " (CS) "DBDriver failed to load : C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\dataAccess\connectionServer\dbd_oci.dll (%1 is not a valid Win32 application.)" .
    Below are the environment details:
    OS : windows 2008 server 64 bit
    BO Server : BOE 3.1 sp3 32 bit
    CMS : MySQL 5.1
Oracle Client:  Oracle 11g 64 bit client is installed.
I have set the path and environment variables relating to oracle as well.
If I create a DSN and test connection it works fine. Please let me know your suggestions and inputs to resolve this error.
    Thanks

As BOCP-BOE, said, BOE XI 3.1 is a 32-bit application and is designed to 32-bit middleware connectivity. This is mentioned in the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 SP3 for Windows u2013 Supported Platforms document.
The document is available at http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000726132&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202&_OBJECT=011000358700000555642010E

However,  this file (dbd_oci.dll is located at the path specified.  Also I can access the CMC and InfoView through a browser >  run reports with no errors...
    thgts?

    hi,
    Start -> Run -> Please type 'services.msc'
In Services, Please verify whether Oracle related services are started or not.
If they are not started, Please start those services which are prefixed with Oracle.
Now Check the Connection in Universe.

Just to support the previous person who also replied to this question. We
had the same problem and it was the path. Someone pushed an app that
replaced the path instead of appending to it and it killed the zen remote
agent. Replacing the path to "c:\program files\novell\zenworks" path worked.
Thanks much for the person who first suggested this.

  • Acrobat fatal error: failed to load core dll

    Hi,
I have a problem with acrobat reader on my laptop.
My OS is Vista Home Premium.
I had Master collection CS4 installed.
When starting up acrobat reader; i got following error:
    failed to load core dll.
I went to the log and this is the explenatoin written in there: (i'm dutch speaking)

I simultaneously had a problem with Dreamweaver.
I think all this is caused by an Side By Side configuration issue.
I've tried to do following steps:
    -redistibrutable 2008 c++ package geinstall
    -system recoverage tool
    -reinstall cs4 master collection
-uninstall master collection, clean up, install reeware acrobat reader
-uninstall acrobat reader, ccleaner register issues resolver , also older than 24 uur , reboot,  install acrobat reader freeware
-revo uninstall tool to remove acrobat
none of the above actions were successful.
What could u suggest or give as a solution.
Atm i'm using an altarnative pdf-reader.
But as i bought the master collection,
i'd rather have my adobe acrobat reader pro and dreamweaver working.
    Thanks in advance,
    With friendly regards
    Anton

    Hi Anton
I am sorry, I do not have an answer just a similar problem.
I am no expert, but all these manifest files are to ensure that different developers can ensure that the appropriate versions of common libraries are used by particular versions of their software.
Deatils are below. The original problem was a corrupted manifest file, probably due to a disk error. This resulted in several programs failing to run. In particular I was unable to access backup on my Windows Home Server. From the logs I was able to identify the manifest file in error and located a copy of a file with the same name on another of my computers. Using notepad I then changed the file causing the problem to match the file on the other computer.
This appeared to resolve all my problems.
When the Acrobat Reader updated itself, however, the"failed to load core DLL" message appeared. Simply uninstalling all adobe programs and re-installing makes no difference.
If you have the solution please post.
If not, I will continue to research this problem.
    Very best wishes
    Graham

    Any ideas ??

Hmm, the exception definately shouldnt happen - no matter what else may have occurred on your machine.
Have you ever used the RSA authenticator? The aceclnt.dll is supplied by RSA and installed into system32 when you install the RSA client tools CD.
If yes, its possible the OS upgrade managed to nuke the DLL accidentally. ALthough the error message "Failed to load aceclnt.dll" is actually quite normal. I get this and dont have RSA support installed.
I think this will require a call to the TAC as you probably need a developer to track the crash... the sort thing I used to do!

    Hi,
have you got the 64 bit driver?
    This is the documentation.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/integrate.1111/e12644/hyperion_fm.htm#CHDGDJFF
in an old post i saw this
ODI Setup Steps to Integrate with Financial Management
To setup the ODI to integrate with Financial Management:
    Rename odiparams.bat located at <ODI_HOME>\oracledi\agent\bin to odiparams.bat.backup.
The default installation location is C:\app\Oracle\product\11.1.1\Oracle_ODI_1.
Download Oracle Data Integrator Companion CD 11.1.1.6.2.
Unzip the contents of the Companion CD to the temp directory.
    Unzip oracledi-agent-standalone.zip.
    Copy the contents to: <ODI_HOME>.
Make a backup of the HFMDriver.DLL.
For the 32 bit operating system, copy HFMDriver32_11.1.2.2.dll as HFMDriver.DLL.
For the 64bit operating system, copy HFMDriver64_11.1.2.2.dll as HFMDriver.DLL.
Rename odiparams.bat.backup from Step 1 to odiparams.
Edit the PATH to include: <ODI_HOME>\oracledi.sdk\libthis is the link

  • Php_saprfc.dll - %1 is not a valid Win32 Application

I have a fresh install of PHP 4.4.1 working beautifully. c:/winnt/php.ini is set to look in d:/php/extensions and this is working because I've successfully installed php_gd2.dll and libpdf_php.dll.
    I place php_saprfc.dll from saprfc-1.4.1-4.4.1.Win32.zip into d:/php/extensions and librfc32.dll into c:/winnt
When I place extension=php_saprfc.dll into php.ini I get an alert box on the server Desktop - "Unknown(): Unable to load dynamic library 'd:\php\extensions\php_saprfc.dll' - %1 is not a valid Win32 application."
I've tried following exactly the same installation procedure on a different machine and all works well - the only difference is that PHP on this machine is installed on the same drive as the system. The production machine has PHP installed on a seperate drive.
OS is Win2K3 and I'm running IIS6 with PHP called as CGI.
    Any advice gratefully received.

    humm,
AFAIK these kind of %1... errors refer to some kind of a missing dependency situation, so I'd suspect the librfc32.dll to be broken, missing, or something like that.
Maybe in the context of th IIS there is a path problem. Could it be that you have a path variable containing a path to another librfc32.dll with a space in it (like in Program Files). If this is in the path before the system directories, the php-cgi is called like
    'execute' C:Program Filespath_to_sapguilibrfc32.dll
In this case the program called (%1) were C:\Program and not the whole stuff. 'Files\path_to_sapgui\librfc32.dll' is then considered to be an additional parameter to.
Unfortunately there's a lot of different situations which lead to such errors.
Me personally, I do often end up to put the php base directory on the path, set the PHPRC env variable to the system dirs and (definitely reduntantly) copy the php5apache2.dll, phpisapi.dll, etc from the php base dir to the system directories and scan the whole system for eventual alternate php.ini files.
Inever found (myself or in any php forum) a pattern common to this problems.

    anton

To troubleshoot, we tried running the x86 version of scanstate.exe (from USMT from the Windows 8.1 ADK) manually by just double clicking on it on a few Windows XP SP3 systems and we get a similar error as seen below...
So, we thought maybe USMT from our Windows 8.1 ADK install maybe somehow corrupt, but downloading and installing it again results in the same error, so it does not seem to be a file corruption issue.   The x64 version of scanstate.exe works
fine on 64-bit OS's, its just Windows XP SP3 (32-bit) we are seeing this error.
Has anyone successfully using scanstate.exe from USMT 5.0 from the Windows 8.1 ADK successfully to capture user state from a Windows XP SP3 (32-bit) system?
    Regards,
    JJ

Windows 8.1 ADK comes with a newer version of USMT (NOT 5.0) and crashes. I learned this today the hard way. I hope Windows 8.0 ADK's loadstate.exe works for restoring to a 8.1 machine.
Yesterday i used Windows Easy Transfer to move from XP to 7, and then re-did the backup in 7 so it would be compatible with 8.1, and it only restores files, not settings.
So i will test USMT 5.0 in this same scenario, because i have 30 machines to change to newer machines with 8.1

  • UnsatisfiedLinkError: ocijdbc10.dll: %1 is not a valid Win32 application

we are running 64-bit Oracle client and getting the following exception in JDBC application when trying to use OCI JDBC URL:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\BIN\ocijdbc10.dll: %1 is not a valid Win32 application
Obviously this is an incompatibility with Oracle 64-bit and JRE 32-bit. Should we install JRE 64-bit? We use Intel's hardware, but on Sun's site it looks like JRE 64-bit is for AMD only - name of the file is jre-1_5_0_09-windows-<b>amd64</b>.exe.

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.
You can try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_save_or_download_files
