Dbms_metadata want to find doc which describes the tags

9.2.0.6
Trying to find a doc which details all the tags used in dbms_metadata. For example some tags are straight forward like <COL> is a columns however <type_num> is not. I can guess that type_num is the data type of the column but would rather be sure.
Where can I find that doc?
Thanks

Just some addon to Nicolas's post.

  • I want to know at which port the modem comuniacte

    I want to know at which port the modem comuniacte for the first time .
    i want to read the port using socke programming plz help me.
    How to read the port
    Regards,

    The modem itself doesn't communicate via a port in the socket sense. Once it has established a connection (through the serial port), you have a network connection.
    You can then use that network connection to establish sockets.
    Make sense?
    Chris.

    Thank you for your reply Brynjar.
    However, I was trying to figure out a way to do this without having to change the calling command line, because due to legacy reasons, it is not possible to change the command line calling the parent applications of this common code.You cannot change the command line, but you can change the applications?
    In main() do this:
    System.setProperty("whoami",(new Throwable().getStackTrace()[0].getClassName()));Elsewhere:
    String whoami = System.getProperty("whoami");

  • Finding on which line the error has occured! still not working~ desperate!

    I have a problem with error handling when transforming XML with XSL file.
    If I have XSLT file like below
    <xsl:template match="/">
    <html><body>
    <xsl:apply-templates/>
    </body></html>
    </xsl:template>
    and I just change the last line "</xsl:template>" to "</xsl:template" to allow the exception return the line number of where error is occurred (in this case error is missing '>' bracket)
    What I want to find is the exact line number where the error has occured.
    part of my java code looks like below
    catch( TransformerConfigurationException tce )
    // Error generated
    JOptionPane.showMessageDialog( null, "ERROR1"+tce.getLocator().getLineNumber());
    The above code does not work properly because getLocator() method returns a null value...
    I also checked whether getLocator() really returns null so I did this
    if( tce.getLocator() == null )
    System.out.println( "it is null indeed" );
    and found out it DOES return 'null'.
    Could you please tell me why it is returning null and how I can get around to get the line number of where error has occurred? PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    The reason is probably that your exception
    is TransformerConfigurationException i.e.
    the transforming process has never been started
    because your transformer is not configured properly.
    That means that no SourceLocator exists...
    Check what
          System.out.println(tce.getMessage());
       says.

  • How do I find out which "page" the user was on

    I am using JAVA servlets and XSLT's to create a web service. I need to know how I can use the HTTPRequest that is sent to me to the server to find out, which "page" they were on when they clicked the login link.
    The login link appears on all "pages" and once they click it a loginServlet is activated an a login page is shown. I need to know which "page" they were on so I can take them back to it after login has completed.
    So take for example I am at http://localhost:8080/contact/ and then they clicked a hyperlink with value http://localhost:8080/login to call loginServlet. I know getPathInfo will give me the "/login" but how do i get that "/contact" so i can send them back to that page once the system has logged them in.
    Any help, suggestions, comments would be highly appreciated it. Thanks.

    Retrieve the "Referer" value from the requestHeader:
    String referer = request.getHeader("Referer");Notice the misspelling, you must spell it this way. BTW, check for nulls. I don't think there's any guarantee this value is set, although I've never run across a situation where it wasn't.

  • TS1702 How can I find out which is the correct app to read a PDF on my iPhone 5?

    I purchased a PDF reader from the app store, but I still cannot read the file. When I try to download the file, it states that I need an updated version of PDF. I notice there are several PDF apps available, but I don't know which is the correct one. How can I find out the correct application I need?

    Select the tune and then - Get Info - in the dialog box is a note of the Apple ID used to purchase.

  • Dynamically..can we find from which infoprovider the data comes..in reports

    Hi,
    We are executing a report. Fine. It is based on Multiprovider. Can we identity from which infoprovider that data belobs to?? I mean dynamically can we find out??
    Regards,
    Murthy

    My point was that your question has no clarity, forget the joke. When asked what do you mean by 'dynamically' you reply ' I think you are right....in web report....'. Honestly, do you have any clarity on what you want? Say you have a layout to define with your Chars and KFs, what do you want to see there? Right click and the KFs disaggregate in a popup? Have a free char of infoprovider to drill down to? What? Post that and then expect clear answers.
    To get an answer there has to be a question. Humor is one way of expressing frustration with vague questions.

  • Find out which is the calling method at runtime

    Hello.
    I have to write a very simple, custom logger. Don't tell me to use logging API, since I can not, unfortunately :-(
    In order to log informations I use a class calles FileLogger, which has some methods, like warn(String message), info(String message) which use a private method
    void write(String message, int logLevel){
    what I'd like to do is to make the method write(String message, int logLevel) log non only the message and the log level, but also the class and the method from which it was called.
    How can I do?
    Thanks

    There is a way to do it - if you only want it when an error occurs, it's fairly easy - and PIFFLE on performance - it only occurs when there's an error (which should be rare!) for pete's sake!
    Make it even better and have an if checking a public static final boolean in your error class and you get ZERO overhead if you have logging off - of course you have to change the kode.
    -G
    import java.io.*;
    import java.util.*;
    public class A
    public static String caller()
    ByteArrayOutputStream bs = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
    PrintWriter pw = null;
    try
    throw new Exception("Exc");
    catch (Exception e)
    e.printStackTrace(new PrintWriter(bs, true));
    StringTokenizer st = new StringTokenizer(bs.toString(),"\r\n");
    st.nextToken();
    st.nextToken();
    st.nextToken();
    if (!st.hasMoreElements())
    return "None";
    String theString = st.nextToken();
    theString = theString.substring(theString.indexOf(' ')+1);
    return theString;
    public static void doSomething()
    System.out.println("Caller is "+caller());
    public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception
    doSomething();
    System.out.println("Caller is "+caller());
    }

  • Speaker wire cut, want to fix myself - which is the best way to connect the wires back together?

    Some how, one of the wires going to my left-center speaker got cut in half. Not sure if it was the vacuum or my dog........anyway, I want to fix it, so - would you recommend butt-connectors, soldering the wire back together, or some other method?
    Also, does it matter which wires connect back together? The wires are identicle (smooth covering) and both wires appear to be copper........ I was just wondering if anything would happen if you were to connect the wires back together, but backwards.
    Please let me know so I can get this fixed quickly.
    Thanks,
    -Officer_Dufus

    Go to the above link and listen to the Pink Noise Monaural and the Pink Noise with Reversed Polarity tests. When a speaker is of opposite polarity, that means that the wires are connected backwards (positive to black and negative to red). If this happens, when your speaker should move out it'll move in and vice versa. This makes the sound seem to come from everywhere but the speaker. Play the tests to see what I mean.
    If you solder your wires back together and notice this problem with your speaker, just reverse the connection to the speaker itself and you should be okay.

  • Where can I find docs on all the property nodes

    Are all the property nodes for things like waveform charts and graphs documented somewhere. I have looked throught all the .pdf files that came with LV ( at least I think I have ) and haven't been able to find what I'm looking for.
    If someone could point me to where all these are documented I would be most appreciative.
    Thanks.

    The LabVIEW Help describes every VI Server property and method. The easiest way to find the help for a specific property and method is to select the property or method in the Property or Invoke Node, right-click the node, and select Help for xxx from the shortcut menu, where xxx is the name of the property or method.
    In LabVIEW 6.0, you can browse the property and method help by selecting Help>Contents and Index, clicking the Contents tab, and navigating to Networking in LabVIEW>Properties and Methods.
    In LabVIEW 6.1, select Help>VI, Function, & How-To Help, click the Contents tab, and navigate to Programmatically Controlling VIs>VI Server Properties and Methods.
