DBT-120 Bluetooth 2.0 Adapter not Compatible with Mac Pro V 10.4.10?

Hello!
I recently purchased a
*D-Link DBT-120 Bluetooth 2.0 USB Adapter* (My Mac Pro is *V 10.4.10*)
in order to resolve the Mac Pro / Bluetooth issue.
I put in the CD for installation and all of the files (.exe, etc.) read as PC files.
I was told by D-link that the adapter mentioned above is not compatible with this higher version of the Mac Pro.
However, I have read that other users have had success with the DBT-120.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thank you!
Jeff

What exactly IS the mac pro/ bluetooth issue?
Some Mac Pros were (are?) shipped with incorrect labelling and connection of the AirPort and Bluetooth internal antenna wires. The causes reduced Bluetooth range.

  • AirPort Extreme card not compatible with Mac Pro???

    Hey,
I recently purchased my Mac Pro without thinking to include any hardware for connecting to a wireless network.
I have recently moved into a new apartment which I am keen to join to a wireless network which has just been set up by my roommate for his PC and Laptop.
I was going to buy an AirPort Extreme card, but I have read that it is not compatible with the Mac Pro. Yet when I looked at the configure process for a new mac it was listed as one of the devises offered for wireless networking!!
    I am very confused...
I was wondering if anyone could help me, i just need to know what hardware i will need and how it would be installed.
thanks, all help will be greatly appreciated!

the mac pro takes a slightly different airport express card. you have to purchase it at the retail store and have them install it. in my experience they will not allow you to purchase one and install it yourself due to the difficulty of installing it. best thing to do take your macpro into a apple retail store and see what they can do.

  • HP C5380 DVD/CD Printing Feature Not Compatible With Mac

I purchased this all-in-one specifically for the feature of printing direct to cd/dvds. Other functions work fine but this will not. After contacting HP Support I am informed that this feature is not compatible with Mac. Surely this is false advertising as nowhere on the packaging can I find any reference to this. Under specifications it shows that system requirements were Mac OSX 10.5.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix? I have searched mac support but can find no reference to this. Interested to hear other viewpoints and experiences.

    Hello,
I would try printing directly on CD/DVD from the application HP Photosmart Studio.. Follow the steps below:
    1. Open HP Photosmart Studio
    2. Select an image from the Photosmart Studio library/browser
    3. Choose "Create" in the toolbar
    4. In the menu on the left, choose the following settings:
    - Project: CD/DVD Label
    - Label Type: CD/DVD (5 inch/120 mm)
    5. Move the image from the media bar to the label, resize it if necessary
    6. Click "Print" on the toolbar

  • IPad not compatible with MAC OS X 10.4.11

I just bought an iPad and just realised that it's not compatible with MAC OS X 10.4.11 when I tried to hook it into iTunes. Therefore I will need to upgrade. C
an someone advise on what OS I should upgrade to and how? I assume Snow Leopard would be my best option, but I'm not sure if I can upgrade to this from MAC OS X 10.4.11.
Also I've never upgraded before, so will everything on my current Note Book be preserved such as iTunes library, documents, iPhoto's library etc.
    Thanks in advance

I was faced with the same dilemma, and wound up upgrading to Leopard on my G5. My approach, which worked well, was to get a retail box through eBay, then upgrade online to 10.5.8.
You're always well advised to do a backup before an OS upgrade. Find many discussions about upgrading in the OS forums.

  • USB superdrive not working with Mac Pro

Is there a trick to getting a USB Superdrive working with a Macpro?
The drive in the Macpro no longer ejects and have tried connecting the USB drive to both the front and back ports - does it not work with Mac Pros?
Any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.

I had a problem my superdrive. It would play dvd's and cd's that were already burnt but would not burn blank DVDs or CDs- in the recent past it had no problems burning. In addition, the Finder would not display the superdrive. When I put a blank disc in it would go to Disk Utilities and would not allow burning. With help from Apple I discovered the problem-- The settings in CDS & DVDs had been changed from When you insert a blank DVD/CD "Ask what to do to  to  "GO to Disk Utilities". If this sounds like your problem try changing the settings to this:
Try going to; System Preferences/ CDs & DVDs
Change these two settings to this:
When you insert a blank CD: Ask what to do
When you insert a blank DVD: Ask what to do
NOTE: If they are already set to this you probably have a different problem. If they are set to Go to Disk Utilitiy this is probably a solution.
    And
    Then go to Finder Preferences
Make sure that under "Show these items on desktop:" that the checkbox for CDs, DVDs, and iPods is checked.
Try to burn the DVD again (reload Disc- perhaps restart) and try again.
Don't know how these setting changed but they did. It worked for me.

  • CS6 not compatible with mac retina display

I recently purchased the Adobe CS6 Design and Web Premium at school. (It's not the creative cloud)
Upon installing, I noticed that all of the programs are blurry. After a quick google search, it says that when a program is blurry it's not compatible with retina display.
I did an update on all the programs, and it seems like only photoshop and illustrator were updated to have retina display. The only other program I really need to be retina compatible is InDesign. I don't care about dreamweaver and such.
Anyone knows if there is an update for coming for that? Any work arounds, or who I need to contact to see what they can do? I spent a ton of money on this, and was not aware that there was a retina display issue, and my software is obviously now non-returnable.

There is nothing more to do. CS6 is now 3 years old and there simply won't be any further updates, be it just for simple technical reasons.

    Thanks,

I can't tell you why, but I can tell you that Apple published the list of supported hardware on its website quite a while ago. The oldest MacBook Pro model that supports Mountain Lion is the Mid/Late 2007 model. You have the late 2006 model.
Details are (and have been) here:

  • I have a class where I need to use SmartDraw but it is not compatible with Mac probook what are some other software programs I can use to make floorplans and building plans?

I am suppose to download SmartDraw to my computer for a class but it is not compatible with Probook is there another program that does the same as SmartDraw?  I am planning a building addition and need it for the floor plans.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are lots of choices. Just go to the App Store and type in Cad Drawing in the search field. Also Sketchup from Google is a cloud based solution hat works pretty well.

  • My MacBook Air 2013 is 'not compatible with Mac OS X Mountain Lion'

    Hi,
I just bought a new MacBook Air 2013 yesterday.
I think there may be some driver issues with it as the graphics seem a little choppy.
I tried redownloading Mac OS X Mountain Lion from the Mac App Store but a message constantly pops up saying that Mac OS X Mountain Lion is not compatible with my computer.
Is anyone else getting this issue?

Wait until the next update, or reinstall it from the recovery partition, which is accessible by pressing the Command and R keys at startup.
