I have no idea what's wrong there. It looks like it's DBUS, but I'm not sure myself. I've waited a few days for new updates of Gnome3.2, but so far nothing's changed on my end.
If it helps, this is my pacman -Qm

wonder:
Ah shoot, that's the previous error.log , I'm sorry. I've saved too many error logs now already, it's getting out of hand. This is the correct one:

  • "Lync 2013" error we're sorry, but outlook has run into an error that is preventing it from working

    Hi -
    So I've an legal Office 2013 version running on my Surface Pro 2, which works fine.
    I installed lync client 2013 (not from the appstore, but the desktop version) and on first sight, seems to work as well.
    Now comes the issue - when I want to join a meeting, the following error comes up:
    "we're sorry, but lync has run into an error that is preventing it from working''
    I already re-installed Office and Lync several times - but the error keeps coming and it getting really frustrated because I cannot join any meeting.
    Tim

    Hi,
    Please check if the Lync conference add-in is active in Outlook.
    You can check with the following steps:
    Click File button on Outlook, Options--Add-Ins. Make sure the Lync Add-in for Microsoft Office 2013 in the list of "Active Application Add-ins". If it is in Inactive Application Add-ins or Disabled Application Add-ins, active it and then restart
    Lync client and Outlook to test the issue.
    If the issue persists, please also delete Lync user profile and Outlook profile to test the issue.
    Best Regards,

  • Bluetooth : Blueman dbus error

    Hello dear archers,
    I am facing a problem trying to setup bluetooth at my desktop pc. It is a USB Bluetooth donge.
    I followed http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bluetooth but i cannot launch blueman-manager.
    I get the following error :
    Connection to BlueZ failed
    Bluez daemon is not running, blueman-manager cannot continue.
    Further in the wiki i tried
    [razor@RAZPC-LIN ~]$ hcitool scan
    Scanning ...
    00:25:BC:65:D3:75 anna petraki's iMac
    00:22:98:1E:E1:C7 1 mouni stin axladia
    So the bluetooth device is actually working. Then i tried using the bluez-simple-agent:
    dbus.exceptions.DBusException: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.bluez was not provided by any .service files
    I have installed all the python packages for bluetooth ( dbus-python pygobject python-pybluez )
    Do you have any idea what is going wrong?

    oh yes, sorry forgot to mention, both of them are started. here is my /etc/conf.d/bluetooth
    [razor@RAZPC-LIN ~]$ cat /etc/conf.d/bluetooth
    # Bluetooth configuraton file
    # Bluetooth services (allowed values are "true" and "false")
    # Run the bluetoothd daemon (default: true)
    #DAEMON_ENABLE="false"
    # Run hid2hci (default: false)
    HID2HCI_ENABLE="true"
    # Run the sdp daemon (default: false)
    # If this is disabled, hcid's internal sdp daemon will be used
    SDPD_ENABLE="true"
    # Run the bluetooth HID daemon (default: false)
    HIDD_ENABLE="true"
    # Activate rfcomm ports (default: false)
    RFCOMM_ENABLE="true"
    # Run bluetooth dial-up networking daemon (default: false)
    #DUND_ENABLE="true"
    # Run bluetooth PAN daemon (default: false)
    #PAND_ENABLE="true"
    # rfcomm configuration file (default: /etc/bluetooth/rfcomm.conf)
    RFCOMM_CONFIG="/etc/bluetooth/rfcomm.conf"
    # Options for hidd, dund and pand (default: none)
    #HIDD_OPTIONS=""
    #DUND_OPTIONS=""
    #PAND_OPTIONS=""
    HAL and other services like Avahi which require dbus work as expected. Does this .service file lie anywhere so i can check if it exists or it is created dynamically uppon bluetooth daemon startup?
    Thanks for your reply.

  • Udev Mounting - DBus error RemoteVolumeMonitor.Failed

    Hello.
    I have been using thunar-git for a while and every time a mount an external media (cd/dvd, flash memory, etc....) I get this error:
    "DBus error org.gtk.Private.RemoteVolumeMonitor.Failed: An operation is already pending."
    The drive mounts and I don't have any problems, but the error is sort of annoying. As far as I can tell, the error doesn't bring any ill effects except having to close the dialog box. Does anyone know how I can prevent this error from showing or fix it?
    Thanks!

    Solved. I created the file
    /etc/polkit-1/localauthority/50-local.d/org.freedesktop.udisks.pkla
    Here is my file:
    [Local Users]
    Identity=unix-user:johnny
    Identity=unix-group:storage
    Action=org.freedesktop.udisks.*
    ResultAny=yes
    ResultInactive=no
    ResultActive=yes
    No more problems with thunar (there was an option to add in the "Action" section to allow the automounting of the internal drives, but i don't remember. I don't need it).
    EDIT: I think that you can also do:
    [Local Users]
    Identity=unix-user:*
    Identity=unix-group:storage
    Action=org.freedesktop.udisks.*
    ResultAny=yes
    ResultInactive=no
    ResultActive=yes
    If you want allow to a generic user this option.

  • [SOLVED] dbus error when taking a screenshot

    I can't take screenshots with the Gnome3 screenshot program. When I try to save a screenshot, I get this error message:
    Error while saving screenshot.
    Impossible to save the screenshot to file:///home/some/directory.
    Error was GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Spawn.ChildExited: Process /usr/bin/nautilus exited with status 1.
    Please choose another location and retry.
    I found a thread with a similar problem (dbus error when taking a screenshot; the error message is different though) providing a solution, but I can't try that solution because I don't have a /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf file.
    How can I fix this?
    Last edited by cryptkeeper (2012-03-05 08:12:36)

    Damn, I found the solution (or better: source) of the problem... The error messages states that /usr/bin/nautilus exits with error something-something, and after thinking about that for some seconds it came to my mind that I replaced /usr/bin/nautilus with a softlink (ln -s) to /usr/bin/thunar because I didn't find a better way to totally replace Nautilus with Thunar...
    Thanks for trying to help anyway!

  • Org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown

    Hello list,
    I frequently get these org.freedesktop.DBus error messages, e.g. working in Emacs, or starting Chromium. Is that a dbus bug? Is there a remedy? Its often not critical, e.g. chromium starts up and works fine besides the error message below - but there might be a message I should read.
    Cheers

  • On closing Acrobat Windows detect an error "Data Execution Prevention has closed Adobe Acrobat".

    Hi,
    I developed a plugin which captures Before/After open, close and save events and perform some operation inside these events.
    I tested the plugin in Windows XP and Acrobat 9.0.0 and 10.0.0 and everything works fine. But when in test my plugin on Windows Server 2008 Standard 32 bits, then windows detect an error while closing the acrobat and shows the following message:
    "Data Execution Prevention has closed Adobe Acrobat"
    I am using Acrobat 10.0.0 for testing in Windows Server 2008 operating system. Also, debugging the program shows no error but plugin does not produce the desired result when tested on Windows Server 2008 Standard 32 bits operating system.
    Can anyone please giude me how to resolve this issue??
    Thanks in advance!

    Are you really using 10.0.0?  You've installed no updates to it??

    OK, so here's what you do:
    - Create a new file in a plain-text editor (I recommend Notepad++), and paste this code into it:
    safeExecMenuItem = app.trustPropagatorFunction(function(code){
        app.beginPriv();
        app.execMenuItem(code);
        app.endPriv();
    mySafeExecMenuItem = app.trustedFunction(function(code){
        app.beginPriv();
        safeExecMenuItem(code);
        app.endPriv();
    Close Reader if it was open and then save this file as "MyScripts.js" and place it in the following directory (this is for Windows):
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\Javascripts
    If you want it to work in Acrobat as well place the file also under:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Acrobat\Javascripts
    Now to rotate the pages clockwise attach this code to your button (in Acrobat, of course):
    mySafeExecMenuItem("RotateCW");
    And to rotate them counter-clockwise, use this code:
    mySafeExecMenuItem("RotateCCW");
    Open your file in Reader and the buttons should rotate the pages when clicked...

    Are those with a problem using share level security on the samba server?
    Have you tried accessing the share using smbclient? (smbclient //server/share)
    I have been receiving the original dbus error for some time now.
    I am using share level security on the server.
    Using smbclient results in a segfault. Using nautilus also results in an error from libsmbclient which can be seen in one of the log files.
    [mythtv@tvee ~]$ smbclient //sirschmoopy/shared
    Enter mythtv's password:
    Domain=[WORKGROUP] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 3.5.1]
    Server not using user level security and no password supplied.
    Segmentation fault
    There is a samba bug which looks similar but it only affects people with ipv6 disabled. I have disabled and enabled ipv6 several times and the errors persist.
    I think it may be related to this bug: https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7250
    I haven't tried the patch provided yet.

  • Office 365 Error: We're sorry, but (program name) has run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly. (Program name) will need to be closed as a result.

    Today we had this error code on starting Office programs out of the blue. We've had this error in the past and we know what caused it, but that action wasn't taken. I've already read other posts, but no "Answer" provides a real solution to a clear
    problem with Office 365.
    The error: "We're sorry, but (program name) has run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly. (Program name) will need to be closed as a result."
    It offers "Repair Now", then the two following options: "Online" or "Offline". Neither are effective.
    In the past we used the Office 365 Fix It tool, but uninstalling and reinstalling Office on a regular basis is unacceptable. Resorting to web apps is also not going to happen.
    Running Win 7 Pro 64 bit, fully updated.
    We're starting to get fed up with this broken software. Paying monthly for programs that don't work is ridiculous. Any real answers would be greatly appreciated!

    Locate your Office application and check the setting of Compatibility.
    For example,
    Right click on Excel (.exe) > Properties > Compatibility > uncheck all the boxes, click Ok and check if it helps.
    To access Excel (.exe), open the following location:
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15\Excel.exe
    Or
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\Root\Office15\Excel.exe
    Try to open Excel and check if it opens.

  • [SOLVED] Unable to Print from CUPS - DBus Errors?

    Hi all-
    I'm unable to print on CUPS after doing a recent system upgrade. Not excatly sure what's going on, but below is an output of the error log. Just as a side note- I have two arch machines. The one I'm having problems with has XFCE, my other arch has aweosme and cups works fine. So we can rule out the actual printer as being the problem.
    A few of the errors below are attempts to cancel a test print page job and getting forbidden. Not sure why this would happen other than possibly not logging in as root, but that's not even the main issue. So yea, any help would be appreciated.
    Just one more thing, I've noticed in /etc/cups that one of the config files was renamed to cupsd.conf.pacnew. Anyone know why pacman is over-writting those config files?

    In fact, it's not overwriting the config file, which is why you have a pacnew file. You need to read up a bit more on pacman and pacnew and pacsave in general.
    You should merge any and all pacnews with your corresponding config files if pacman tells you that it has created a pacnew file during upgrade. Don't just replace them with newer versions though, because it can lead to bad things like locking you out of the system if you do that for certain files like group or gshadow etc.
    You're completely right, it's not overwriting the files, hence pacnew... bad choice of words.
    ***EDIT***
    Okay....well, I read up on pacnew and pacsave. Thanks for pointing that out, Inxsible. Merging the files solved the problem.
    Thanks again!

    Maybe there is an conflict when the X starts on 2 monitors with 2 different resolutions...
    It depends from your graphic card. For example, on my nvidia when X starts with both internal and external monitors plugged in, the resolution is messed up. But when you enter to your desktop, usually it reads the last resolution states and the screen resolution problem if fixed.
    One solution is to plug the external monitor after desktop is loaded or create a config file for the monitors on the /etc/X11/... folder Xorg wiki

    The table I get an error on is not partitioned.
    I also do not get a exception when I run that procedure manually as system, but when I run it from dba_jobs, I get an insufficient privileges issue.
