Dbxplorer dialog won't allow me to enter database connection name

I'm trying to create a new database connection with dbxplorer. It pops up a dialog asking for the database connection name, but it won't accept any text input. I can't get any further without the ability to enter a name in this dialog.
This is an existing project that was not created with any Workshop wizzards. I would still think that I could use dbxplorer on an existing project.
Is there a way to make this work or a patch for this?

We are actively working this issue and hope it will be resolved in our next release targeted for this summer.
We are evaluating some workarounds, but there were some changes in the JDK that prompted this, and we are still assessing to see if related to jvm regression, api change, or a bug.
Please use the older JDK as a workaround as an interim solution

HT201303 won't allow me to enter the security code

Trying to set up ITunes on my laptop but they won't allow me to enter my security code on the payment information.

N97 won't allow me to enter lock code

I upgraded the firmware on my N97 to 2.1 the other day and have had no problems since. This evening, after a reboot (no new software installed), it won't allow me to enter my 5 digit lock code. The keys are unresponsive. I've tried removing the battery etc..., but it's still the same. I want to avoid a hard reset if possible, as there is some info that is not backed up. I'd be grateful for any suggestions?

itz looks like your digitizer is not working does anything work if you hit the touch screen if it iz not you can get a repaired under warranty and you should not loose anything

Batch schedule won't allow me to enter "login credentials"

Hello All,
A most random thing happened today. I am on version 11.1.2.3.500 of EPM and was in the process of creating a Batch (for test) and after doing this successfully a number of times (10+), I deleted the batch I had created attempting to create a new one. However, this time, the database connection has come up blank as can be seen below.
The 2 fileds highlighted below were originally editable, and the userid was filled in with "admin". I would normally just enter the password and proceed, however in this case, I can't write anything into either of the 2 fields highlighted below.
This naturally creates a problem as I can not now see the dimensions from the reporting database - so can not select any dimensions!
I've powered down the virtual machine, restarted my services (2x) and everything else looks and works fine except for this issue.
Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply LRBS. I did spend some time going through the logs but they turned up empty and here's why...
It turns out it was a corrupted BATCH. Somehow, each time I created a new "Batch Schedule" and used my original batch as a reference it made it impossible to edit/enter the correct login credentials for the server element.
Hopefully this helps someone else in the future.
Action: "Delete and recreate your Batch if you get this error."

My ipod won't allow me to enter the wifi code needed through Safari?

I've reset it, I've reset network settings, forgotten the network, etc. with no joy.
The wifi is accessed through a password, which the ipod accepts, but then you have to log in through safari and enter another code but safari won't bring up the log in page. I wouldn't mind but it was logging in perfectly all week and just STOPPED on saturday for no reason.

No, didn't have to sign out. As I started to, got a messge saying something about losing all my calendar information, which unnerved me so I didn't sign out. It was correcting the password in another email account that corrected the situation for me.

Try deleting the account and set up a new one. Also make sure to not sync the phone with old email settings.

Lightroom allows me to copy TO that location on an import but not import FROM it? So I'm allowed to import and end up with stuff there, but not allowed to start with it there. No sense at all in that design. That's downright restrictive and really offers no particular benefit. Hey, Lightroom designers ... change that!
This computer is a powerful ultrabook with a 512 SSD which is as big as reasonably and cost-effective available with the addition of a 256 SDXC card to handle the additional extra capacity I need. Not too many other reasonable options out there. This computer is constantly on the go and the addition of an external drive hanging off of it simply isn't manageable.

Terminal won't allow me to enter my admin password

I want to run sudo in Terminal on my G4 OSX 10.3.9, but after I enter the command (copy and paste), the prompt shows

with the cursor at the end, but I can not type or paste my admin password it. Nothing shows in the Terminal window. Do I have to go to "root"? What is that and how do I do it?

Your password is actually being entered as you type.
You just will not see any character recognition on the screen.

An iPod (and iPad) ony have a phone number for Messages (and FaceTime) if there is an iPhone with Messages/Facetime using the same ID for Messages and facetime.

If you can't change the Settings that means that the Restrictions that prevent changing accounts is set. Settings>General>Restrictions

You can look at this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802, but user troubleshooting is power off/on, a reset holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will restart. This will not affect data at all. If needed, the next step is restore from a backup. With the phone connected to the computer and iTunes, click the Restore button, and when prompted, restore from your backup. Just make sure before you start the restore that you backup the device. The Backup button is right in front of you.
Before trying to restore as a new device, the next step, I would do as I suggested in checking with the carrier. A restore as a new device deletes all data from the phone.

After installing the 8.1 update the Internet Sharing won't allow any devices to stay connected for more than a few hours.

Internet sharing is turned "on" and appears to be working, but really isn't. Locking the screen, restarting, or a hard reboot helps, but it is extremely aggravating not to be able to maintain a connection for more than a few hours at a time!

Also, I know that we've set the expectation that the device will remain connected as long as a demand for signal flows through it, but that may not be entirely the case. After a period of constant use, any device (including the Lumia 822) may require or force itself to stop.
You've mentioned that the device will freeze after a few hours usage. Is the device also connected to the charger while being used as a hotspot? If so, do you notice the device getting warmer than it normally would be?

Allow users to change database connection at runtime

I develop CR on desktop and then save to the BOE repository. Users need the ability to point the report to a different Oracle schema. Tables and elements are the same, just the data is stored via streams so that each location has its own reporting schema. So one (16 total) report needs to run against multiple schemas based on which origin the user is trying to report against; one at a time. Other than having a set of reports for each site, how can I allow the users to select the schema to run against at runtime?

When you schedule a report with InfoView, there is a Database option where an ODBC connection, user and password can be specified. Can this be used? (I'm not familiar enough with Oracle to know for sure... Also, this option doesn't show if the report uses Business Views.)

Here's one method to reset the password without the install disc:
1. boot computer and hold the "apple" key and the "s" key.
2. wait for terminal show
3. release keys
4. type without the quotes: "/sbin/mount -uaw"
5. press enter
6. type without the quotes: "rm /var/db/.applesetupdone
7. press enter
8. type without the quotes: "reboot"
9. press enter
This will let you create a new admin account when you reboot your computer.

Here is a way to get around not knowing the admin password on Macs.
To reset your OS X password without an OS X CD you need to enter terminal and create a new admin account:
   1. Reboot
   2. Hold apple + s down after you hear the chime.
   3. When you get text prompt enter in these terminal commands to create a brand new admin account (hitting return after each line):
          * mount -uw /
          * rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
          * shutdown -h now
   4. After rebooting you should have a brand new admin account. When you login as the new admin you can simply delete the old one and you’re good to go again!
