DDDAUDIT objects in DB and in APD

Hi,
DDDAUDIT shows the difference between objects in Database and in Application designer. isn't it ?
Then my question : where are the application designer objects stored/stocked ?
Thank you.

The definitions in PSRECDEFN do not correspond exactly with tables defined in the database. The RECTYPE column in PSRECDEFN indicates what kind of object it is. RECTYPE=0 are physical tables, RECTYPE=1 are views, etc.
Some rectypes are for work records that do not correspond to any database object.
Note that the count of rows in PSRECDEFN where RECTYPE=0 will typically be much less than the count of database tables owned by SYSADM. RECTYPE=7 defines temp tables, but one temp table definition maps to multiple physical tables in the database and it is difficult to determine the number of physical tables that should exist for each record. It depends on a number of factors--The number of instances specified in each App Engine program that uses the record, whether or not the AE program is batch-only, and how many system-wide online instances are specified in the PeopleTools options. There is also a limit of 99 temp table instances for a record.
For example, we have over 55,000 physical tables in our FSCM 9.0 database but only 20,000 rectype 0 record definitions. So 35,000 of our tables are temp tables but we only have 3,800 rectype 7 record definitions.

  • Pl/sql object data type and "instance of"

    Hello!
I have an object datatype A, and two objects, B and C, which are subtypes of A.
Then I have a function taking one parameter of type "A". In runtime, I send an object of type "B" as parameter to this function, and I want to determine if the "A" object is an instance of type "B" or "C". A test similar to "instanceof" in Java. Is there a way to do this in pl/sql?
    Thank you.

  • Re: [SunONE-JATO] Re: Using an object to store and display data

Personally, I think there is little or no value to creating a "domain"
object that itself relies on a JATO QueryModel internally, but hides that
fact and requires use of BeanAdapterModel.
It would be more appropriate (and much less work, and more scalable) to just
derive a QueryModel subclass and add the domain-specific behavior to the
model. In other words, what's the point of creating an object that hides
JATO inside it when you're running in JATO to begin with? Now if the domain
object were doing plain JDBC, and thus trying to be JATO independent, that
would be different. However, you could still implement the Model interface
on the object (or use BeanAdapterModel) to integrate it seamlessly with the
    View tier.

    Craig,
I think it all finally makes sense. First, your assumption is
correct regarding the process flow. The ViewBean will interact with
a custom Javabean which will then in turn interact with a SQL Model
to access the database. So now let me make sure I understand what I
need to do. Basically the custom Javabean will have a method to get
the SQLModel. I would then invoke the setValue method on the
SQLModel and call the appropriate execute method( e.g.,
executeUpdate, etc. ) just like I would do from a ViewBean. Does
    this sound correct?
    Thanks,

    This is correct.
    The part I'm a little

    is
a very basic model ) that I now have with a query model toactually

Not sure what you mean by "interface this BeanAdapterModel ... witha
query model". Does this mean that you have a ViewBean the interactswith
a custom JavaBean via the BeanAdpterModel wrapper, and from the
JavaBean you are interacting with the SQL Model?
So it looks like this: ViewBean > BeanAdapterModel(Custom JavaBean)
    SQL Model > RDBMS
That's what I am reading anyway. Please explain this to me.
Would I need to make direct JDBC calls
from my custom model instead of letting JATO dynamically create
    the
    calls for me?
If my assumptions above are correct, then the custom JavaBean cansimply
use the SQL Model in exactly the same manner as the ViewBean, otherwise,
if no SQL Model is involved, then yes, you need to handle JDBCdirectly,
which is fine, if you do it "right" (connection pooling, result set

  • How to change "Object Causes Wrap" and a "Picture Frame" as a default properties when importing images in Autor

When I place images in iBook Author, they are automatically assigned these properties: "Object Causes Wrap" and a "Picture Frame" stroke.

I've sent a feature request for a new version of Author:
When I place images in iBook Author, they are automatically assigned these properties: "Object Causes Wrap" and a "Picture Frame" stroke.
It would be great if I could be able to change it in the Preferences to "No wrap" and "No Frame" so I don't have to manually adjust every single image of my book - there are lots of them.
It would be really nice if Author implements "Layer's" concept like almost all graphic programs like Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, etc.

  • Implementation Business Objects in CAF and developing WDJ application

    Hi Experts,
I've read some articles about SAP CE CAF from SDN and I'm making some exercises according those guidence. Right now I have a problem and want to get suggestion from you.
As you know, from CE 7.1.1, the CAF support importing the Business Object through EJB model. So when develop a WDJ application using caf, we can using these procedures:
(Implementing business objects in CAF and developing WebDynpro application)
    1) Create business objects or application service.
    2) Generate EJB Implementation class for business objects or app service.
    3) Create a WebDynpro application
    4) Importing the EJB model using the template.
    5) Create the UI for the app.
My problem is: In the business object or application serivice, if the operation parameter type is integer, after we generate the EJB class, the type will changed to String. After the WDJ UI is created, the application test failed. The integer field could not passed to the BO successfully.
If all the parameters type are string in the operation, there's no problem.  But when I use Integer or Date, the EJB class will change the type and the WDJ app will failed.
I've also test the scenario in CE enviroment including 7.3 also failed. So I'm a little confused which step was wrong. I don't know whether you've seen such problem before, if you could give any suggestion, it'll be very appreciated!

    Hi, Winters.
I got the same program, try to parse into the type which you want in AS operation.

  • [Qualif.] Difference between object type 'Q' and infotype 0024

    Hi,
For the xRPM 4.0 solution, we need to maintain skills for resources. There is a HCM integration functionality to import skills from a HR system to Business Partners (which - basically - represent users that can be staffed on a project in the xRPM solution).
Today, there is no skill management in our HR system.
There are 2 notions that look very similar to me :
    - <b>Infotype 0024</b> [Transaction PA20/PA30] : contains Qualifications of a user in PA (Personal Adminsitration) with the standard table T574A holding the possible values
    - <b>Organizational Structure</b> (HRP1000/HRP1001) [transaction BP / PP* ?]: with the objects Qualifications 'Q' and Qualifications Group 'QK'
It seems taht the integration operates on the Organizational Structure. But we would like to assess both solutions.
<b>What is the difference (pros&cons) between the 2 of them ?</b>
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Guillaume

To be precise, the way Infotype 24 behaves depends on whether integration between PA and PD is active.  This is controlled by setting PLOGI QUALI in table T77S0.  There are also other settings in this table that affect how quals work in an integrated scenario, you will find these in the QUALI XXXX section.
If integration is active, the qualifications are maintained in a catalogue via transaction OOQA.  What you see in IT0024 are the object Q <--> P relationships as mentioned above once a qualification object has been assigned to the employee.  This option has the advantages of being able to use the integrated objects in othe modules e.g. as prerequisites or imparted quals in the training module, skills/requirements matchup etc.  The down side is that being PD objects, these are more difficult to report with SAP Query or Adhoc Query tools, but there are ways of doing it.
If integration is not active, the data is simple stored in PA table PA0024 and the quals themselves are set up via the IMG.  The data really can't be used in any other module, but the reporting aspects are much easier with the standard query tools.

  • Object allocations, memory and UINavigationController

I'm having a problem with object allocations
Is it possible to release/remove a view from a navigation controller stack when I click on the back button on my navigation controller? I wish to get rid of the view I just left (the one disappearing to the right of the screen). The problem is that the next time I navigate to the same view lots of new objects are allocated, and none of the old ones are released.
In the tableView:didSelectRowAtIndexPath: method I initialize a new view controller for the view I want to push to the stack and assign it to a property. The problem is that the old view seems to continue to exist in the navigation controller stack, because it's never released according to the "object allocation" section in Instruments, thus the amount of allocated objects and memory just grows and grows as I click back and forth in my navigation controller.
For example, if I click on a cell in the first table view (which displays a second view) and then click on the back button and then click on the first cell again, the second view and all of its objects are created again, but the previous instance of this view seems to still exist somewhere in the navigation controller stack.
What's the best way to solve this?
Here's some of the code in the "tableView:didSelectRowAtIndexPath:" method:
    self.categoryController = [[CategoryViewController alloc] init];
    self.categoryController.category = category;
    [self.navigationController pushViewController: self.categoryController animated:YES];
Each time this code is executed tons of new objects are allocated, but the objects allocated by the previous CategoryViewController are not released.

Thanks you so much for the great article!!

  • How to Move System Object to QA and PRO Systems

    Hi Friends,
I have one doubt in SSO. By using SSO I Connected to BI and BCS Systems in DEV System. Now all working fine. Now I want to Move those IViews to  QA and PRO System.
By using EP DEV Portal I have Connected to BI and BCS DEV Systems By using SO(SystemObjcet)
We have BI and BCS different Systems Like DEV, QA and PRO Systems
Could you tell me what is the process.
    I have some Questions:
    1.     Can I create SO(System Object), System Alias and user mapping in QA and PRO Systems. Is it required.
    2.     Can you tell me what is the process.. in Briefly.
    Regards
    Kumar

    Hi Friends,
    Thank you for the Repley
Transportation I know. Now we have to SO (System Object) in DEV to QA and PRO Systems.
In DEV My SO having BI and BCS DEV System Details(Like Application Host Name, Gateway, Logical System Name, etc)
Now Same SO have to Move QA and PRO. Here we will Provide QA and PRO BI and BCS Details (Like Application Host Name, Gateway, Logical System Name, etc)
Vijay Says Like that is it currect way.
I think most probe ally  we can create SO (System Object) in QA and PRO Portal also along with BI and BCS (of QA and PRO) System details.

  • Business Object, SAP BW and SAP Enterprise Portal

    Hello all,
I've a few questions about the possibility for linking Business Object, SAP BW and the SAP Enterprise Portal.
The Business Package MSS 1.41 give us a functionality to display (in a federated portal) personalized Budget and costs in an Overview Iview (kind of Welcome page).
Those information are retrieved from SAP BW and I'd like to know if it's possible to retrieve those data (with the same functionality) from Business Object tool.
Is it possible to have those personalized reports without having a direct link (standard architecture) between SAP BW and the federated portal?
Thank you in advance fro your answers.
    Matthieu

    Hi,
The procedure to replicate BW users in BO is explained in detail on the blog of Ingo Hilgefort:
