DDL replication is not working...

Hi,
The Database version we are using is 11.2.0.2.0 and Golden gate is 11.2.1.0.1. We are having a Hub and spoke environment where Hub and spoke schema's are in different servers.The DML replication is working fine but when we enable DDL replication the replication is not happening like when the table got created in Hub schema the same is not replicated in Spoke.
Kindly let us know if we miss anything or how to go ahead with it.

We are replicating between one Hub and spoke environment only. Our requirement is the tables/packages will be created in Hub environment at run time and it need to be replicated at spoke. Whether DDL replication allows such replications?

Azure geo-replication does not work - Feature is disabled

When I try and add geo-replication to a database (s0) in which is on the east coast (tried both the azure management console and the azure portal); it creates the west coast server and
I guess the next step is to create the replicattion database., but it fails. The error I get is "Feature is disabled" and does not create the database
Any idea what feature needs to be enabled for this to work? the entire process seems pretty click forward., no idea why it would fail.

peer 2 peer replication is not supported on standard edition, but bi-directional replication is. Here is a tutorial on how to make this work.

OC4J 10.1.3 preview 4 cluster database replication is not working...

Hi,
We are trying to run OC4J 10.1.3 preview 4 standalone server in a cluster mode enabling database replication to persist session details during restarts.
We have created the following:
- JDBC Connection pool
- JDBC data source
- An entry in the application.xml for <cluster><protocol><.... </cluster>
But it does seem to be working.
And there is no change in stdout or stderr console log as well.
It will be really helpful if you send your comments or answers if anybody have have implemented this succefully before!!

I can confirm that this works with the DP4 build.
The easiest way to make sure you get the right entries are to configure this via the "clustering" wizard in Application Server Control at the end of the deployment process.
So I'd recommend deploying the application again using ASC and using the cluster task, setting the protocol to be Database and specifying the datasource to use.

Lync 2013 EDGE replication is not working

I need help, I think the problem accrued when I installed updates.
From Lync FE server I can access edge:4443/replicationwebservice, certificate is trusted.
I added registry keys to: HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL,

New Master Replication Group Not Working

I have created a new master group in addition to an existing group in multimaster replication production system using OEM. (W2K Svr. Sys + Oracle 9.2.01).
Thye administrative requests are finished and I am left with none outstanding. However, data is not being replicated through to the two other master sites.
Can someone direct me as to how to debug the system, a series of steps maybe?

Rso2 replication does not work, what can one check

created a data source in rso2. tried to replicate it to the bi system - but - when going to the bi system and looking under "datasources", there is nothing there. the datasource does not replicate.

Hi,
First activate the datasource through RSA5 in R/3 system.Then check in RSA6 it should present there then run RSA3 weather its extracting any data or not.These steps you have to follow in ECC side.
Now go to BI system side:
Go to source system ,right click and press replicate the datasources...sometimes you have to replicate the whole datasources then try and check your datasource weather it comes or not.
Try to do these steps and let me know if it solves your problem or not.

          as the proxy for my web app which has been setup as in-memory replication. Here
          is the problem:
          1) I start both cluter instances up
          2) login to my web app
          3) shut down the inistance that handled my login
          4) making another request
          I was asked to login again before my request been filled,
          can somebody tell me what I missed? thanks


Did you set persistentStoreType="replicated" in your webapp's
          weblogic.xml?

P2P Replication Not working after DDL Chage has been replicated

I am using SQL Server 2008. And I have configured the DC DR P2P replication for High availability.
In DC i had dropped one column. after that my replication is not working i am getting "A DDL change has been replicated error" in replication monitor.
In order to resolve this issue i had tried to drop the same column in DR. But still the replication didn't work.

Hi,
You have two options to make schema changes to the replicated database.
1. Drop the replication, make the changes, and recreate the replication.
2. Make the changes and let P2P replication take care of the changes.
If you drop the column from the table at the Publisher by using
ALTER TABLE <Table> DROP <Column>, the column will also be dropped from the table at all Subscribers.
In this case, the column was dropped in application. I have not tested this situation. I agree with Ashwin. You may recreate the replication to resolve the issue.

Session replication not working with OAM clusters

Hi,
We have a enterprise deployment of OAM 11.1.1.5.0, and we are using a cluster or OAM managed servers. Server#A (fano1) hosts the admin + OAM managed server, server#B (fano2) hosts the second OAM managed server.
What we have noticed in general is that when accessing the OAM admin console (on server#A, fano1), we get prompted to login and then we get a "Error 404--Not Found". It seems that we are getting authenticated against server#B (fano2) and our session is not getting replicated to server#A (fano1). After exactly 60 seconds, if we were to simply reload the URL in the same browser window, we can get in. This is with "database replication of sessions" enabled. If I disable that, then I will never be able to login to the admin console.
The admin server logs contain the error message:

One other point is that we are using virtual IPs and each server (Admin + 2 managed servers) is listening to its own virtual IP.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what this could be. My thinking is that coherence based session replication is not working. However I have no way to say that for sure. Is there any way to enable some more logging from either OAM or Coherence that would help verify if sessions are getting replicated or not? I have tried putting the entire system in TRACE:32 but that generates too much data.

GoldenGate - Oracle to MSSQL - handling DDL replication abends on replicat

Very much a GoldenGate noob here, so please excuse me if I fumble on the terms / explanations - still learning.
We've recently been lucky enough to have a GoldenGate pump put into our campus environment to support our data warehouse. We don't manage the pump or source systems - just the target.
Pump: GoldenGate 11.1.1.1
Source: Oracle 11g
Target: MSSQL 2008R2
~5,000 tables of hugely varying sizes
The extract is apparently configured to push DDL changes, which is clearly not going to work with a MSSQL 2008 R2 target. We're getting abend messages on the replicat and I'd like to know if we can bypass them on the replicat or need to ask that the extract process be modified to exclude DDL operations.
The replicat error logs show exception:
OGG-00453: DDL Replication is not supported for this database
On the replicat I've tried including:
DDL EXCLUDE ALL
DDLERROR DEFAULT DISCARD (or DDLERROR DEFAULT IGNORE - neither let the process continue)
The replicat just abends with the same OGG-00453 exception.
My question: Can I gracefully handle these abends on the replicat? Or do I need to request the extract be updated with "DDL EXCLUDE ALL." Ideally, we can handle this on the replicat - I'm trying to be considerate of the main GoldenGate admin's time and also avoid any disruption of the extract.
Any direction / info / ideas much appreciated.

EricI find strange that DDLERROR DEFAULT IGNORE does not work, are you sure you placed it properly? did you restarted the replicats after doing the change?
Why dont you try specifying the error like:
DDLERROR <error> IGNORE

Session Replication doesn't work when using a custom Unicast Channel

After configure a WLS Cluster for an WebApp with session replication support enabled I faced some issues with cluster configuration.
My LAB env used for this configurations is:
One Solaris 10 SPARC box.

Unlike Oracle 7.x, versions 8 and above now internalize the trigger you are looking for within the database itself. So you can no longer have the kind of control over this process as you would have done previously, however the performance has increased according to Oracle.
It is possible to remove these triggers in an emergency as follows:
-- if tab$.trigflag != 0 - then Oracle internal replication triggers are enabled

-- to remove Oracle internal replication triggers if replication is not working
-- and needs to be removed in an emergency to allow writing to the tables

However this removes all of the triggers - which is not what you want to do in your situation.

What is expecially important (as I am sure you know) is the setup of conflict resolution, which I do a little bit differently than I have seen documented elsewhere in order to avoid ORA-1403 errors.

Push replication on start up of a new node is not working

Say, if one cluster alone is started initially and there are few elements added to it and then I start the second cluster with push replication enabled.
How do I load the already added elements in the first cluster to the second one ?
This is not working in my current setup. Is there any special config that I need to add?

By default Push Replication only replicates entries as they are added to a system. If Push Replication is not configured initially, is started in a "stopped" mode instead of "suspended" mode, the initial entries will not be replicated.
The easy solution to this is to start Push Replication in "suspended" mode.
