DDNA 11.1.3.5 Template - Adding an Application

Can anyone shed some light on how to add an applications settings to be
migrated using Desktop DNA 11.1.3.5
The Install guide says to use the 'Add Option' button in the Template
Editor but from what I can see all that does is adds a meaningless item to
the template. The application settings I need to capture are all registry
entries.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is usually a permissions issue.. you have read but not write permission. Why it would suddenly change is one of those Apple Mysteries... but it happens.
Open the directory (folder) where your media files are.. and check the permissions.. see if you can fix them.
The problem is the folder on the TC might have lost your ownership and you might not be able to change it.. Apple do not provide anyway to regain permissions because you would need low level access to the TC firmware.
I would just as a matter of course reset the TC to factory and redo its setup.
Factory reset universal
Power off the TC.. ie pull the power cord or power off at the wall.. wait 10sec.. hold in the reset button.. be gentle.. power on again still holding in reset.. and keep holding it in for another 10sec. You may need some help as it is hard to both hold in reset and apply power. It will show success by rapidly blinking the front led. Release the reset.. and wait a couple of min for the TC to reset and come back with factory settings. If the front LED doesn’t blink rapidly you missed it and simply try again. The reset is fairly fragile in these.. press it so you feel it just click and no more.. I have seen people bend the lever or even break it. I use a toothpick as tool.
N.B. None of your files on the hard disk of the TC are deleted.. this simply clears out the router settings of the TC.
Do the setup via airport utility using different names.. short, no spaces and pure alphanumerics. Make sure passwords are also pure alphanumeric mixed case and numbers.. 8-20 characters is usually plenty.
Mount the disk in finder and see if you have the same issue.. I am not expecting a change.. but it is worth a try.
No luck you can copy your files off the TC.. wipe it .. and then copy them back.. no bad thing unless you already have a backup of your files at the moment. In which case you can just wipe the TC and copy the files now.

Problem in Creating Source Files (Templates) for Original Application Files

I am trying to ccreate "Source Files (Templates) for Original Application Files" . I checked the link

I created a new DOc. type TMP with no statuses, checked in KPO, assigned no. ranges.
Created DIR & assigned the template file, checked into storage category. DIR no. 10000000390 created.
In Workstation application "DOX" in define templates for originals : doc. type: ZGA, application: DOX; language- EN; no - 01; In source doc- entered doc. type- TMP, doc. no.- 10000000390, part & version
Assigned for required source file copy" ZGA doc. type. -- Default Appl. as "DOX" workstation application.
Now created a DIR with ZGA doc. type, when clicking on originals , DOX prompted and clicking on "create with template" . TMP doc. 10000000390 template open in a new window. I edited & saved. close the MS word window. When comes to DIR, it prompted, Original was changed Do you want to save the original?.
clicked on yes.
Saved the ZGA DIR. When I saw the new ZGA DIR created it didn't capture. Where I went wrong ?

Following messages if you read, it may be clear.
By having templates in place we can utilize the pre-defined documents instead creating right from scratch.
Entries can be done in the Template and save the document.
Templates are used for standardization and uniformity. By using templates time consumption for creation of documents will reduce as most of the details are maintained in the master template and the same can be utilize by using the template when creating documents.
If in DMS editing functionality is not there what is the use of templates- documentation?

Report Templates in Oracle Applications 11i

By using predefined template i had generated a report and it worked prefectly.But my problem is when i was trying to generate the same report in the applications it is showing the following error

Did you install all other software mentioned in the installation notes for 11i on Windows NT/2000.
We had some problems with HRMS for vision 11.5.5 I have applied the latest patchsets and most of stuff is working fine.

WAD template with BSP Application - how to read selection screen values

I've created Web template with Web Application Designer (WAD).
I would like to extend that page with BSP Application...
Purpuse of this application is to read some information from tables
on BW transaction server and display them within Web page.

Hi,
The selection screen parameters will be on an inputField, so try and get the is of the inputfield generated by doing View source...
And once you get the inputfield Id, you can read the value in the InputField(InF) by
using the following code...!
data : if_value type ref to cl_htmlb_inputfield.
data : variable type string.
if_value ?= cl_htmlb_manager=>get_data( request = request
                                            name    = 'inputField'
                                            id      = 'InF_ID_here'
       if if_value->value is not initial.
         variable = if_value->value.

Adding another application server.

Hi Experts,
My company is having 2 system landscape.
DEV & QAS in one and PRD in one server.
in recent years, my company is growing faster.
i.e increasing number of End users and database growth.
and now the task is to add 2 or more application servers.
my doubts about application server are as follows:-
1 *Deploying application server means is tht installation of sap central instance in
new server or installing an Dailog instance ?
2 *How to add new installed application server to the existing land scape ?
3 *how to group up the added application servers in to a group , so that the
user will get connected to sap by tht group of application server?

solution for database growth ?

You mean to say, if i install Dailog instance in new server and connected to lan with same ip class as PRD server. that will appear in SMLG.
so, there is no concept of selecting new server from PRD. i.e by STMS router or RFC .
and after adding the new application server i can create new group in SMLG
(by combining all the application servers, so tht user logons will be distributed.)
is that right.
if any RFC connection has to maintained from PRD to new application server.
please let me know that.

Adding New Applications to Voice Command on N95

Is there a way of adding new applications to the list of available applications that could be controlled by Voice Command?
I appear to have a pre-configured list that I can't add too.
I'd like to be able to activate Google Maps for example, but that application isn't in the pre-configured list of applications that could be set for Voice Command.

Using BIPublisher excel template in ADF application

Hi everyone,
Like the subject, I want to export excel reports from an **excel template** within ADF application. After searching around, I found **ExcelProcessor** class seem to be able to do the job, but it got no docs. And forums like this don't have much information. So I wonder if this job can be done smoothly using supported class, or we have to use another solution, like create a RTF template and use it instead?

RTF is fine. But it don't have features that excel format support: the multi-sheets reports, freeze cell ability, formulas, comments... Just thinking it's really great if we can use an excel template directly.

Any Guide for Modifying Templates/Adding Custom CSS???

I have purchased (and, yes, read...smarty pants) all of the APress, Oracle Application Express 4 books. I have searched The Google.
We need just one, step-by-step, excruciatingly detailed example of modifying a template, for example to add in a custom header. Also, we need to add additional css files and static javascript files. To be clear, we do not want to have to reference the javascript in the page header of every page. We want to build all of this all in to a single template.
Does anyone know of a site, or even a book, or even a reasonably priced, personally authored example that would contain this information?
I see people everywhere who refer to changes they've made to their templates. People reply to my posts routinely suggesting that, rather than the Page 0/Page Header shenanigans that I have to engage in, it would be "much simpler" to edit the template.
How can I enter the secret cabal of those who know how this is to be done? How I ask you? How?

The frustrating thing is that I am certain that the process is probably simple. As you say, "the trick is knowing what to cut and where to paste it," Why is there no documentation for this important part of the product?
It's one thing to request to expense books (or even to pay a couple of hours of consulting time) but, a completely different (and most probably unobtainable) level to request to spend 3 grand and a week out of the office to attend a class.

Product costing Template - adding new function in Environments CTU6

I need to create a new function in CTU6 (Define Environments and Function Trees) in order to have information stored in MBEW table and use them in CPT2 (Template).
The goal is to calculate a value for each material/plant and add that value during the cost estimate (CK11N / CK40N).
Could someone help me? How can I add a field of MBEW in CTU6?

Custom List Template - Adding a substitution string

Hi all,
I have created a List template by copying an existing list template.
I want to have a substitution string so that I can assign a different identification to the list itself each time I use the list template.

</ul>The #A01# - #A10# seems to be applied only on list items. I cannot find a way to have such a substitution string that can be applied to the unordered list tag.
Would anyone know of a way to do that? I'm using Apex 3.1

The reason I want to be able to specify the id of the unordered list is that I have a javascript function using the id to build the rest of the list dynamically.
But if that's not possible, I will have to hardcode the "id" in the template and have a different template everytime I want to implement a list having the same characteristics.

VSO agile template adding link task as child makes parent missing from backlog

HI,
I have a tasks in my backlog for iteration, if I add a new child task for this as a linked workItem, the parent task doesn't show up in backlog/task board. If I go to stories view, and show hierarchy I can see both the parent task and child task as hierarchy.
a) How I can see task hierarchy in backlog view
b)why parent tasks gets invisible from backlog view, when a child link item is added

Hi singhome,
Nested tasks will make the parent task disappear, you will just see the PBI and the lowest level child task show in Backlog and Task board. It is not support nested tasks for board view, board does not show the intermediary nested tasks.

I arbitrarily positioned the nav in the middle of the action. You can play with its positioning, but remember that it is positioned "absolutely" from the left and top of the "header" div. (in this case)
If this is unclear, let me know! By the way, the CSS is in the head of the Template, and the child page, but I didn't print out the other auxiliary files, which you will get automatically if you insert a SpryMenuBar. But the sample on my site will work...

There doesn't seem to be anything at that site address. In any case, it won't do much good to look at the finished flash file. Can you share the template that you downloaded? It is sometimes difficult to adapt templated flash files.
