De-activate menu / submenu

Is it possible to de-activate menus or submenus in Planning 9.3.1?
Thanks.

Hi,
Anything in particular ? If you are talking about restricting what a user can see in say the file, edit .. menu then there is nothing available out of the box to do this.
Cheers

    Please tell me how can i generate menu & submenu in JSF using database or dynamically.

    Stephen,
    Check this page out for some elementaries on dynamic pages in UIX. The LOV is essentially just like any other UIX page, with the two differences: it's launched and submitted differently. But these differences don't affect what content is displayed on the page.

  • CS3 Missing KBSCE area for this panel's Windows menu submenu

    Missing KBSCE area for this panel's Windows menu submenu. Does anybody recognize this assert message? I have found posts from other people with the exact same problem, like this one for example: http://forums.adobe.com/message/1303048#1303048 , but no solutions to it.  We have the exact same problem, our menus are listed under the Windows Menu Product area in the Keyboard shortcuts editor and they do not have the “ourPrefix :”. I assume there is something wrong with the resource declarations but we are unable to locate a sdk sample or anything in the documentation about this.

    First, you need to realize that resetting preferences will put them back to ground zero, not the way they were the last time you were happy.
    You can try the key combination again and see if you are any faster (we're talking near instantaneous) or you can open your user profile, show hidden files and folders and navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Adobe\InDesign\Version 4.0 and rename the two files InDesign Defaults and InDesign SavedData.
    In your case, a better first option, I think, would be to try System Restore which you'll find in System Tools under the Programs > Accessories heading on the start menu. Go back to the first restore point before you tried to open the file, if you can.
    In any case, for you to open a CS3 .inx file you will need to be fully patched the the last CS2 update, and you should expect to see some text reflow issues, as well as missing any CS3 features that the author used which aren't supported in CS2.

  • Custom DHTML Menu/SubMenu

    I need some information:
    Is there a way to create a jsp portal page, as I do see an option of JSP but it really doesn't do anything.
    How can I create DHTML Menus/SubMenus and control an access to each menu/submenu i.e. based on a user roles show some and hide rest. Is there a functionality in portal that will allow me to do that. Basically I want to have my NavigationPage that contains menu/submenus with access controll. Can I have a Java Portlet that acts as a navigation page. Any documentation on that is really appreciated.
    Thanks

    The menu provider from portaltown.com is a Java provider that uses the Oracle JPDK to build the DHTML Menu. It uses the Oracle Java Provider Developer Kit (JPDK), JNDI to connect to OID and a Database Schema to dynamically create the html and DHTML. The JPDK is supported on the 10g version of portal.

    Do you mean the Bookmarks Menu button on the Navigation Toolbar?
    You only see that button if the menu bar is hidden.

  • How to create a Context Menu submenu?

    I am trying to create a submenu which lists scripts in the content window - Does anyone know how to do this?
    This works:
    if (MenuElement.find ('Thumbnail/tscript') == null) var ah_ScriptsContext = new MenuElement( "command", "Scripts", "at the end of Thumbnail", "tscript");
    But the submenu does not work:
    var ah_runScriptImRnContext = new MenuElement("menu","AH Image Rename","at the end of Thumbnail/tscript");
    I've tried various combinations of 'menu' / 'command' and everything else I can think of, so far no go.

  • Horizontal Menu - Submenu position

    I have delayed the new version of my site because I was
    looking for the solution, but now, I couldn't wait anymore and it
    is online with the following problems on the horizontal menu bar:
    1- On IE, the submenus' position is wrong and becomes
    vertical when mouse is hovering.
    2- On all browsers (those I could test, at least) the second
    level of submenus appears above the first level, hiding it. (see
    "amateur" submenus for exemple)
    My website: www.thebaysoccer.com
    in case it helps, I copied the css below.
    Thanks in advance for your help! Sorry if the question looks
    stupid, but I'm learning and I didn't know anything about HTML when
    I started the site...Any help would be appreciated!

  • Spry Vert Menu - Submenu position in IE

    Hi - I've waited for a week for an answer from the Spry
    Framework discussion forum and no answer, so hope to get one here.
    I've searched through numerous posts, but none of the solutions
    seemed to work.
    The problem: Spry vertical menu, when a secondary page is
    loaded with the submenu visible, the sub moves to the top of the
    div. It won't stay aligned with it's parent menu item. I tried
    updating to Spry 1.6 and had more problems so backed up to 1.4.
    Works fine in FF, Safari.

  • Spry horizontal menu: submenu background problem in IE7

    Hello,
    I am using the Spry horizontal menu in this website: http://www.isis-papyrus.com
    It works perfectly on all current version browsers, but in IE7 the white submenu background only shows behind the actual text for each link and not to the border of the submenu box.
    I modified the css to allow for dynamic sizing for each submenu (see below).
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you so much for your quick answer Beth!
    You solved half my problem!
    I added the bg-color to the li and ul styles of the submenus (css below) and now the white background shows correctly in IE7.
    The only thing I still would like to resolve: The hover style for the menu items (inverse bg and text colors) only works for the actual text of the link and not for the entire width of the submenu box.
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you again.

  • Menu/submenu managing and Event Listening problem

    Hi guys,
    I'm creating a flashwebsite and I've got a problem with submenu appearing/disappering.
    What is extremely easy in html/jquery is taking me overburned in actiuonscript: make appear a submenu only when the mouse cursor is over its button and not over itself.
    Indeed I've my button/MC, that contains its submenu (which is a vertical list of MC), and when I go over it, submenu appears, when I leave, sub menu becomes invisible.
    BUT, when I go over the space under the button (where my invisible submenu is), submenu become visible another time. I know that cause is the listener associated to the main button is linked to all its nested MC.
    My question is: there is a way to declare a listener only to a MC and not for all is nested elements?
    If not, what shopuld I do for my pourpose?

                var iconRotTween:Tween = new Tween(iconCocc, "rotation", Back.easeOut, iconCocc.rotation, (iconCocc.rotation + ((Math.random() * 200) + 200)), 2, true);

            item.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OUT, function(e) {
                for(var i:int = 0; i < subMenuAnim.length; i++){

                subMenuAnim = new Array();
            item.y = navHeight * i;
            item.visible = false;
            item.coccinella.rotation = (Math.random() * 200);
            nav_container.addChild(item);

    What are you doing to make the submenu invisible?  If you set its visible property to false it should not interact with the mouse, but if you are changing its alpha property to 0, it will react.

  • Spacing of Spry Menu submenu items, and inserting background images

    Hiya, need a bit of help, could someone possibly guide me with this?
    I've created a Spry Menu in DW CS5 - so far, so good.. However I'm pretty new to CSS Styles so need pointers at what to change to get the result I need. I've created the spry menu, however the submenu dropdown items are not flush to the ones above, theres a 1px horz gap between each item and while it looks okay, its particularly visible in Firefox and Chrome and would prefer no spacing at all..
    The live site is at http://www.ebm.co.uk/2011site/indexnavbar2.html
    if you take a look at the drop down menu bar you'll see what i mean - what do I need to do to remove the spacing?
    I also want to replace the solid colour with images, where do I specify the images for 1) top menu item 2) submenu item and 3) 'hover' item, and do I need to make any areas transparent?
    Any advice would be much appreciated.. thanks!
    Chris

  • Rolling the mouse over the menu bar does not activate menu bar drop downs

    Anyone one familiar with menu bars and drop downs not activating when the mouse is rolled over them? This happens consistently afterrunning Photoshop it seems. The menus only work if they are clicked. Webpage links do not display the hand and also have to be clicked. Additionally, Photoshop selections (marching ants) do not activate.

    The standard behavior of Macintosh Menus is to do nothing when the mouse is rolled over them. They drop down once you click somewhere, then roll over a similar item, such as click and release on the apple menu, then rollover the File Menu or the Edit menu.

  • Horizontal Menu Submenu alignment

    Problem: how to change the top alignment of a submunu list so
    that it aligns with the top of the first choice in the parent menu
    listing. ??
    Presently "top=0" in CSS puts the top edge of the child
    submenu list in line with the top line of the selected choice of
    the parent menu. What I would like to do is align the child top
    line to the top line of the first choice in the parent menu no
    matter what item in the parent menu is selected.
    The top= -20px (or a percent or whatever value) will move the
    location of the child menu up relative to the top line of the
    selected parent item, but I would like to reference the location of
    all submenu to the top line of the first listed choice of the
    parent menu. How can I do that? Is it possible?

    Thank you for your feedback.
    Basically, the SpryMenuBar is a very well thought out widget, catering for all modern browsers. The HTML is the same as for other well designed menubars, the JS ensures that the submenus work in the different browsers and the CSS is partially very similar to other menubars and partially there to service the JS.
    Having said that the SpryMenuBar is a very delicately balanced widget mainly because of the differences in browser interpretation.
    The problems arise when people not in the know, start to unbalance the menu by unwittingly changing critical parts of the CSS. Have a look here to see what I mean http://www.dwcourse.com/dreamweaver/ten-commandments-spry-menubars.php#one

    SpryMenuBar v2 makes it easier for newbies to style the menubar, I tend to stick to the original menu.

  • Accordion Menu - Submenu position issue

    Hello,
    I've created an accordion menu that resides in the top right corner of my website. I seem to be getting various undesired results when previewing the site.
    Desired layout: Build mode
    Undesired Result: Page Preview
    Undesired Result: Site Preview
    The top level sites work fine but when I move the submenu to the left of the menu using the X position, then preview the page or site, the submenus show up either right over the menu or way off to the left of the site, almost completely off the page. I have no idea why, please help.
    Jeff

    Hi Sanjit, thank you for your reply.
    The first image is a from the Design View, the second is a page preview in browser and the final image is a site preview in browser. My default browser is Safari (also testing in Chrome however).
    If I leave the menu with default settings, the submenus appear off the site's live area and when I preview they do not show up at all. Presumabley they are off to the right side of the site.
    The menu is and has been set to "All Pages" and not manually throught my build. Other than plaving the vertical menu widget within the accordion widget, it is more or less default with exeption of some styling.
    I will try to rebuild the menu and see if the problem is still occuring. If you have any further sugestions I would be happy to hear them.
    Thnaks again

  • Different widths for Spry Menu Submenu items

    On the Customize this widget page for menus, a new style was
    suggested for submenu items, to make some of them less wide. This
    code below was suggested. How do we attach the new style to the
    submenu items? Clicking on each submenu text that's open, and
    applying the smaller style doesn't do it.
    Here is the code:
    ul.MySmallerSubMenu {
    width: 4em;
    ul.MySmallerSubMenu li
    width: 100%;
    ul.MySmallerSubMenu li a
    width: 100%;
    Diana

    Lines 96-102 of nl3.css reads
    a:active {
        color: #996600;
        font-size: 0.95em;
        font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
        text-decoration: none;
        font-weight: bolder;
    This interferes with the menu item list. If you change or delete the font-size, all should be well.
