De-Authorise all computers

I have already used this option in iTunes once this year, and I am now at the point where I need to do it again, I have tried using the form on apple's website to ask them to help me with the issue but I haven't heard anything back and I did this about a month ago. Any ideas of another way I can de-authorise a machine i don’t have access to?

ITMS allowed me a second 'deauthorize all', though I did advise them that I am a Apple Certified Tech and am constantly swapping computers, I'm not sure if this made a difference.

Click here and ask the iTunes Store staff for assistance. Only they can perform a second Deauthorize All before the year ends.

That really is your only option. See iTunes Store- About authorization and deauthorization.

  • I am trying to authorise my new macbook air and it won't let me. I try to de-authorise all the other computers and it says I can only do this once a year and have to wait until the 7th Feb. It does not give me an option to authorise this computer

Always remember to 'de-authorize' you computer when selling or sending for service. If sending for repairs you might not get the same mother board or HD back and some how this counts as an authorized computer against your count.

Sorry, not sure how to screenshot on my computer, but this is what is says word for word:-
The Ipad could not b synced because the computer is not longer authorised for purchased items that are on this ipad.
To authorise this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store, choose Store>Authorise this computer.
I have done all of that but not luck.  That's when I tried deauthorising all computer which it did ok.  I then authorised my Macbook pro again, it said I had one computer now authorised.  I tried to delete apps via Itunes then sync to my iPad, but the above message keeps popping up & it wont do what I want.

  • Need to authorise new laptop after old one crashed.  Have 5 computers already authorised and cannot wait until July for 12 month "Deauthorise all computers" to become available again.  How can I authorise this new laptop?

Hello... I need to authorise a new laptop after my old one completely died (before I could deauthorise it!!).  I have 5 computers already authorised and cannot wait until July for the 12 month "deauthorise all computers" option to become available again.  Does anyone know how can I authorise this new laptop as one of the 5, in place of the old one?  Any help gratefully received!

Go to one of the authorized computers and de-authorize it individually.
The one year limitation is ONLY for the de-authorize all option.

Home Sharing is designed to work on your local network not across the internet/cloud.
Stuff is accessed under the Computers column where your local iTunes library on a local computer would appear.
Home Sharing would share your iTunes content (i.e. stuff stored in itunes on the computer, not in the cloud) with AppleTV or an iPad etc on the SAME network.
AppleTV2 will not be able to see itunes content on the work computer over the internet.  It's not designed to.  if the work computer was on the home network it would.
iCloud is in it's infancy and is not a mature product - iTunes TV Show purchases appear on AppleTV, but currently music does not unless you are subscribed to iTunes Match. I find this rather odd to be honest, along with the inability to buy music on AppleTV2.  Movies purchased in iTunes are not authorised for iCloud viewing currently either.
Maybe it has something to do with iTunes Match 'getting in the way' - i think they assume you'll use that whereas you really want to be able to access Purchased music from the cloud without subscribing to itunes Match which is overkill for some.

If you no longer have, or access to, the computer(s) you want to deauthorise,
Log in to iTunes,  go to "view your account info" on the itunes store, deauthorise all five,
(Please Note: this can only be done Once every 12 months)
Then re-authorize your current Computer(s) one at a time..

  • HT1420 if i deauthorize all computers, will i have a problem authorizing most of them again?

You won't have any problem, you'll be able to re-authorise up to 5 of them straight away

  • Managing authorisation/de authorisation of computers

I'm wanting to reset my authorised computers.  I obviously want to keep my own computer authorised but is the quickest way to do this to de authorise all and then authorise my computer.  Will this effect anything (like the library, synced devises etc)?

In the iTunes Store (on your computer), click your Apple ID in the top right corner. Enter your password to view your account. Under Apple ID Summary, you will see a Computer Authorizations line and a "Deauthorize All" button. That is what you're looking for. After you click it, ALL computer will be deauthorized (including the one you're on). Then feel free to re-authorize computers.
Be warned: Apple customer service told me you can only use this once a year. Not sure if the rule still applies.

  • I've authorised 5 computers, Can't deauthorise 5 for another 9 months

I authorised 1 or 2 of my friend's computer to play my music when I stayed.
But I have authorised my current computer at least 3 times and it's been away to be fixed many many times.
And iTunes is telling me I can't deauthorise All computers again till september.
This would all be very well but on my friends itunes i can't find the 'deauthorise' link that I read on how to deauthorise one machine.
So basically, if anyone can help me in finding the link more specifically, or how to deauthorise all again, or anything, please reply.

or how to deauthorise all again
Fill out and submit this form to ask for a second deauthorize all or other assistance.

  • Itunes Deauthorize All Computers

I have authorised 5 computers with my account, but now I do not access to few of them(computers), I already had used Deauthorize all Computers and now I need to add my new Macbook Pro which I have recently bought. I have an active iTunes Match subscription. Help!!

I'm not sure what you're asking. Are you saying that you have 5 computers authorized to your Apple ID and you want to add another, but you have already use Deauthorize all Computers within the past year? Is that correct? If so, you'll need to contact iTunes Store support directly and ask them to deauthorize all your computers.

  • I have three computers (Dell and HP) two I phones and I cannot get the iphones to sync with the computers.  I recently installed ITunes 11.0 on all computers and have no success getting iphones to sync since then.  The iphones are a 4 and a 3S

I have three computers, 1 dell and 2 hps.  I have downloaded the new 11.0 on all computers and now am unable to get my iphones to sync.  I also can't get the home sharing to work...shouldn't I be able to get all libraries from all computers on both phones...if they would download?  It tells be I have to delete the previous libraries to add the phone to a new computer.

If you no longer have the computer(s) you want to deauthorise,
Log in to iTunes,  go to "view your account info" on the itunes store,  deauthorise all five, (Please Note: this can only be done Once every 12 months)  and then re-authorize your current Computer(s) one at a time.

  • HT5610 In need to deauthorise a faulty computer NOT all computers

I need to deauthorise a faulty computer.
It seems I have to deauthorise ALL computers then authorise them one at a time !

Unless you can get into iTunes on the faulty computer in order to deauthorize it, then you will have to deauthorize all of them.
De-authorizing Computers (contributed by user John Galt)
You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
      1. Open iTunes on a computer
      2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
      3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
      4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
      5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.
For more information on authorization and de-authorization: iTunes Store- Authorize or deauthorize your Mac or PC.
