Deactivate imessage without the serial number?

I ordered a tmobile test drive phone, setup imessage, formatted the phone and returned it. I forgot to deactivate imessage and now I need to figure out how to deactivate it without knowing the serial number... and all the tests that go to that phone keep forwarding to all my other devices. How do I resolve this?H

You need to contact Apple Support somewhere along the line.
In iTunes go to the Store and then to the bottom of the page and click Support.
This will open a web page to start the process.
My UK version take me here http://www.apple.com/uk/support/itunes/
At the bottom of this Menu is Contact Support.
Click this then in the new Page chose the iTunes option on the right hand pane. (UK version http://www.apple.com/uk/support/itunes/contact/)
You now get led through a set of support questions.
Keep to the ones about Managing your Account until you reach the end and are offered email contact.
Explain the problem to them giving as much detail as you can. Dates and things you do know.

The serial number does not help you track it. You can't track it without Find my iPod. If you did have Find my iPod, I have no doubt the thief disabled it by now. So it's gone.

Log in if not already logged in.
Click on "Edit Products"
Click on the "X" to the right of the product.

Stuck with Remote Desktop 3 without the serial number:(

I am the new tech assistant for my lab of 35 macs..
The computer used for managing the lab with remote desktop has crashed.
I have found an older model mac with remote desktop. I'd like to transfer that application
to my newer mac...but It will ask me for the serial number of which I do not have.
The old tech assistant has gone..and along with it...the software and document.
I have turned this lab upside down and I've found the box Apple Remote Desktop 3
but nothing else. I thought maybe the serial number would be on it. But I see
only the bar code... I am frustrated to no end. They don't answer my emails for help

IIRC the serial number was never on the outside of the box so have you looked inside the box? Do you see the booklet that came with the box? Is the Serial Number inside? The Serial Number takes this form:

Perhaps if you find the purchase receipt you might be able to contact your local Apple Rep and ask if they have a record of it?
You can still use Remote Desktop by purchasing it again from the App Store. It costs far, far less than the installer media version and does not require a serial number. All you need is an Apple ID and an associated debit or credit card.

Hello, my job was terminated and I no longer have the company issued iPhone 5. I bought a replacement LG F6 cell phone but now I cannot receive texts from iPhones. I'm told I have to go into the iCloud and delete some of the settings like the phone finder. I tried this but Apple support requests the serial number. Since I no longer have the iPhone I'm wondering how I can do this?

Go to www.icloud.com, log in with your Apple ID & Password, and remove the device from Find My iPhone.
Go to appleid.apple.com, and change your password to your Apple ID, and change the primary email address of your Apple ID.
Also, you can call Apple Support and request assistance if that doesn't work. They can remove your current phone number from association with your Apple ID.

If you enabled "find my iPod" in Settings, you can use iCloud. Its location will be determined when it connects to a wireless network, presuming the network's location is also known.

Can this be retrieved by way of iCloud or Time Capsule? AppleCare doesn't CARE at all! Please Help. The Sheriff's Dept can't do anything without the serial number as well. *****!

Where did you buy it?
If you know that and/or have a receipt (or can ask for a copy), they usually list the serial number on the purchase receipt (at least at the third party Mac store I've done buiness at). Or, did you register it at the Apple website - you should be able to look it up there. Or, do you have the box it came in - serial number is on the lable.

How can I find out the serial number for my FCE 4.0 that came with my old MacBook Pro?

When I try and open my old FCE projects on my new MacBook Pro, a dialog box pops up and asks me to input the serial number for my Final Cut Express program. The software came pre-loaded on my old MacBook Pro which died. Luckily, my local Apple store was able to transfer the fcp files to my new MacBook Pro, which came with FCP X installed. I just can't open those files without the serial number of the FCE 4.0 program.

It is almost impossible to transfer FCE as there are so many essential hidden files that workers in an Apple Store will know nothing about. The app needs to be installed from the original DVD.
Other than buying another copy your only chance (very remote) is to contact the Apple Store and see if they are able to get a replacement number from Apple.

Where or where is the serial number?????

I cannot install my photoshop without the serial number. I bought this is at Best Buy and there is no serial number on the back of the DVD case, the link that is given www.adobe.com/go/getserial is a broken link and there is nothing when I got to "About photoshop" on my Mac. Any suggestions of where to go or how to find it??? This should NOT be this difficult. I was so excited to get this now I am just super frustrated and angry!

I've just sent off my proof of student-ism, and it says it takes between 1 and 3 days. Can I install it yet, or should I wait for the code?

Hey Dan,
I do some work with Adobe and can help answer this for you. If you would like, you can install the software now without the serial number and use it as a trial edition for up to 30 days. Once you recieve your serial number, which it seems you have sent for, you can then enter the number on the appropriate page and you will be good to go. Thanks.

Wow, I tried the "chat" option and waited for 30 minutes....no one ever helped.....so I called a customer service number for the creative club option and they promised to put me though to someone who could deactivate my product.....waited another 30 minutes on hold. So then I called the sales department and wow, just as I thought......someone took my call right away. (Please note that the computer that the software I am trying to deactivate has been reformatted and I am unable to deactivate in that manner). I asked the poor sales rep, why on earth would I spend hundreds of dollars for new software when the only people who you can get to help you are the sales people. I think I will stick with free open source applications........this is so not worth it......
