Deactivate Serial Number

I thought to correct problem with why I'm not getting all pictures from "My Pictures" I should delete the old Photoshop 5.0 and this new 8.0 and restart over. I guess my reasoning is to see if the pictures all come in from "My Pictures." When I tried this I got a warning to make sure I deactiviate my serial number. To deactiviate I would need to go to the Help Menu. It's not there or anywhere in my menus. How do I do this? I must say I am having the worst experience after I did this upgrade from 5.0 to 8.0 2 days ago. Did I make a bad choice?

Yes, as Barbara said, it is present ONLY inside the Help menu of Editor saying Help->Deactivate..

I bought a new computer and wanted to transfer Adobe CS4 Creative Suite on it (I have unlimited installation for it).
I didn't deactivate correctly the serial number and now that I have unistalled the whole Suite, I cannot install it on my new device.

How to deactivate my serial number for PSE 10 on a previous computer?
I looked on internet and saw that you can do that with Creative Cloud (CC). But to join CC you have to subscribeand do monthly payment and I don't want that.
Is that the only possibility? If so, than where can I nuy a complete newe serial number and how much does that cost ?

Creative Cloud has nothing at all to do with PSE. Are you saying that you already installed PSE on two computers and you no longer have them and need to deactivate one so you can install PSE on another machine? If so, go to Activation support:

Scroll down in that window and there's usually a place where you can start a chat session and they'll take care of it.

PSE 8, Deactivate Serial Number?

I have searched and searched, especially the Help menu, and I cannot see any "Deactivate" dropdown, which the warning message told me would be there, when I started to Uninstall PSE8; something in the settings have become corrupt and I cannot see what it is, so I thought I would just take the pain, backup, uninstall and reinstall.
The pre-uninstall warning message tells me that if I don't deactivate the license serial number, I will not be able to install it again.
So, I have spent hours trying to deactivate, but nothing to show for it.
Anyone have any ideas? I sure would hate to think I'm missing the obvious, but, right now I don't care. I just want to uninstall and reinstall and get back to scanning photos.
Would like for anyone with some ideas to relay them to me. Please keep in mind I haven't really mastered PSE8.............was only just beginning to understand 6, but couldn't ignore the allure of PSE8

We have a copy of Adobe Photoshop (CS6) registered on a HDD that is now broken, and we're unable to reactivate Photoshop on a replacement laptop for the user as we get the invalid serial number error.
Could you please let me know how to proceed on getting this deactivated so I can reactivate on the new laptop.

Going through the prompts on the technical support number, we don't have Creative Cloud so option 2 and then option 2 again for Photoshop
Then says we don't provide support over the phone for this product please go to www.adobe.com/support
So at the minute I've gone round in a circle, I phoned Adobe again and have gone via the Creative Cloud option to see if I can at least speak to someone, currently on hold.

Deactivate Serial Number Generation in MIGO

In MIGO,Serail number generation is made mandatory through Create serial no.s automatically checkbox in serial number tab.The process is such that the user will Check and then Post.So while pressing the Check button,internally serail numbers are generated and while posting the serial numbers are generated skipping the generated numbers in Check.ex.while checking 001 and 002 are internally generated and aftr Post if we check in IQ03 we get 003 and 004;ie 001 and 002 are skiiped.
Can anybody suggest how to avoid serial number generation while Check?

Apply Transaction Variant and Screen Variant through transaction SHD0 for MIGO. Hope it will solve your problem.
Otherwise, discuss this requirement with MM Functional Consultant. In SPRO, it may have some setting to make it display...

That's the problem with uninstalling PS without deactivating it first, the records show that the program is still active.
I agree with Conroy, you can contact Customer Support and explain what happened, they will be able to help you.

I had thought the issue I was having was because of the deactivation. I contacted Adobe support and they stated that they have corrected the problem with my deactivation, that was yesterday.
Today
I have uninstalled PE8
Reboot
Installed Quicktime
Installed DirectX
Reboot
Reinstalled
Reboot
Still having the issue were nothing is selectable except
File

Open
Exit

Even when I start a project...nothing loads.
When I try to open a project I get the error message.
"Projects created with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Premiere Elements are not compatible. Please use the appropriate application to open this project."
This is the message when creating a file and reopening in PE8.

CS6 Serial Number not valid on any Computer

I hope that somebody here can help me with a little problem concerning the key of my CS6 Extended. Recently, I got a new PC, so I deinstalled cs6 on my old one (the version I have is only for 1 PC). I tried to install it on the new PC then. Unfortunately, the key was invalid. Afterwards I searched a solution for the problem. The Support site told me to reinstall cs6 on the old pc and deactivate it manually via the application itself (Help > Deactivate > Deactivate Serial Number on this Computer). I wanted to do this, but then the key was also invalid on the old computer. That means I'm not able to deactivate any Key.
So finally: The Serial Number I've got is invalid on both Computers! Now I can't use Ps Cs6 anymore. If some of you already know this problem, please let me know what I can do.

only an adobe employe can help you with a serial number problem. i can tell you that almost everyone that has a serial number problem reads the explanation in that message 1 link and just skips right past the answer to their problem.
for example, your serial may be correct but unless you're using cds to install and you only own one adobe product, you're probably using the wrong installation file(s). of course i don't know that's true and that's why you need to contact adobe.

DELETION OF SERIAL NUMBER PERMANENTLY

Dear Friends,
We have activated integrated serial number profile in Material master becase of which serialnumber get generated.
During physical inventory, the profile was de-activated and stock was removed, later the profile was again activated.
Now because of this for a particular part number the serial numbers are More compared to the MM stock .
Please advise as to how the excess serial numbers can be removed from the system. We tried putting a deletion but this won't stop the serial numbers from being displayed in IQ09. Please help we completely remove out of the system

Hi,
The Serial number is deactive only after doing or finishing your all GR of material.
After doing that you can deactive from material master.
There any way to configure the system to disable serial number assigned automatically -> OIS2

Serial Number registration - 2nd copy, original lost on HD crash

I am trying to reinstall Premiere Elements 8 on a NEW PC after the original PC it was installed on HD crashed. I CANNOT DEACTIVATE serial number on that PC. This is only the second time I've installed this software on a PC but the registration message claims I've done it before.

Registration screen does not give an option to fix this.

BuckeyeRobert I have edited your message to remove your serial number and phone number. The serial number is your license for the software so you do not want to have that available for everyone to use publically. I also assumed you did not want your phone number publically available...?

Well, first of all is this a boxed version? If it's a download your serial number is invalid because downloads are single platform while boxed serial numbers work on both.
If that's not it, you will need to contact activation support:

Hi, I've installed PSE 7 on a new computer but my serial number is not working.
I assume the reason is I need to deactivate the two computers associated with the serial number from previous installations.
