  • Deactivate Cloud on Stolen Laptop

My CC subscription was installed on one laptop which was stolen yesterday.  I am now using my second allowed install on the replacement laptop but I'd like to also deactivate the original, now unavailable, installation at the same time.  It appears that the "deactivate all devices" message only appears when an activation on a third device is attempted.  How can I deactivate the first computer to free up that install for future use?

  • Elements 9: activate a third laptop when there is no possibility to deactivate the others

    Hi,
I have activated Elements 9 on 2 macs already, but one of them is not working anymore, the motherboard got fried, hence i threw the laptop away. I bought a new one, and now i cannot activate Elements until I deactivate the other one. What should I do?

  • Laptop stolen - how do I import the music on my ipod to the itunes on my new laptop?

Title pretty much says it all.
My laptop was stolen and I've now got a new one. I've installed itunes and I've logged into my itunes account. When I try to sync my ipod to my new itunes it won't let me - it only gives me the option of erasing all the content on my ipod and replacing it with what's on the itunes on my new laptop (which is currently nothing!)
I have over 25GB of music on my ipod, the majority of which I no longer have the CDs/ were legal downloads from places other than the itunes store (e.g. Amazon). Surely there is a way to get it back? Because if not it will cost hundreds of pounds to replace!

This will only work for iTunes purchases only.
On your new laptop launch iTunes.
From the menu bar click Store / Authorize This Account

  • I have lightroom 5 on my desktop, I have downloaded it on my new laptop, but I do no have the registration code from my update.  My last one is from lightroom4, how do i get the registration code?

I own lightroom 5 on my desktop, I have downloaded it on my new laptop, but I do not have the registration code from my update.  The code is from lightroom4.  How do it get the number so I can register it on my laptop?

If you own Lightroom 5, you received a serial number for it, that is what you want to use.
If you don't have it any more (not a good idea, by the way), you should be able to find it via: Find your serial number quickly

  • Hi i have an emergency my ipad got stolen and i want to deactivate the divice can u tell me how??

hi i have an emergency my ipad got stolen and i want to deactivate the divice can tell me how??? ASAP plzz

There is a FindMyiPhone program/app associated with MobileMe that, if setup, would allow you to send these requests to the iPad. If this was not setup and the OP did not have a passcode setup on the device, the they would need to follow Allan Samson's advice. If the OP did financial transactions on the iPad, they should probably treat it like they would a stolen billfolder or purse.
If the OP wants to contact Apple, see the Apple main web site for Contact Us information.

I purchased a Toshiba A505 in March 2010. At this time I registered the product with Toshiba. This laptop has been stolen. How can I retrieve the registration information. Unfortunately I do not have the serial or product number.

    Hi
You should get in contact with Toshiba using the Stolen Units interface.

  • Stolen laptop- moving Photoshop CS6 to a new laptop.

    Hi,
I have recently had my house broken into and my Mac with Adobe Photoshop CS6 on was stolen. (Student and Teacher addition.)
I have logged on to my adobe ID in the hope that I would be able to re-download it when I get a new laptop, but I can't see much information regarding this. I have read that I would need to deactivate my old Photoshop on the old laptop, but I obviously cannot do this. Without being able to deactivate the old one, will I be able to move the software across to a new laptop when I get one?
I have the serial number- but will this not work as it has been used on my old laptop?
    Any help is appreciated,
    Thanks in advance.

Enter your serial number when prompted.

  • Track stolen laptop

    Hi,
My Toshiba laptop was stolen 2 days ago, the computer is just 5 months old and I still keep the box, the registration number and all the documentation. Is there any tools that Toshiba could use to track my computer whenever they use it again, connect to the internet, etc
Could Microsoft do something? Windows Vista was installed...
Also, is there a database where I can report it as stolen so, if the computer is taken to a repair centre they could check and see it has been reported?
And last question, I set a password for log in, is this something they could overcome and access my information?
    Thank you for your help

    Hi
I am sorry to hear your notebook is stolen. :(
If you have Uses Manuals in front of you there you can find exact explanation what you should do when your notebook is stolen. If you don't have it please download it from Toshiba Support & Download page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_manuals.jsp?service=EU&banner_id=DISCONTI NUED_DOWNLOAD_ARCHIVE
Maybe CIA can scan stolen notebook but I don't believe Toshiba can do this. ;)
I don't know which notebook model you had but password protection can be useful and your documents cannot be read but..... you know what I mean?

  • Stolen laptop with registered software.

One of the laptops in the office has been stolen. Therefore, the licence we used has been already registered. Does someone knows how to block that licence, either if we will have problems a installing the software again in the laptop we bought as replacement?
In adition, does someone knows how can we manage our licences ? obviously in our office we have many computers, reason why is really hard nowadays to be in control of which software it is installed in which computer. Is there any "online" platform or ?
    TACK SÅ MYCKET!

You cannot remotely deactivate software - if the person who stole the laptop never goes online, there is no way to access it. That and of course you need to contact support to actually tell them about it so they can blacklist the serial number and give you a new one. If you need license management, then sign up for CC for Teams. Otherwise there is no global way to manage conventional licenses. You have to keep track of it yourself.

  • Help with stolen laptop

Does anyone know if there is a place where I can contact Apple with the registration number for a stolen laptop so that if it is serviced by Apple or another service dealer I might get it back. I thought I had heard about something similar being done some time ago and wanted to know if this was possible.
    Cheers,
    Jesse

Hi, Jesse. Welcome to Apple Discussions.
No, Apple does not provide such a service. Such a task would be a monumental undertaking.
You need to contact your local law enforcement agency (which, I assume, you have already done).
If you have homeowner's or renter's insurance, it may cover a stolen iBook.
I would also advise checking eBay for iBooks whose descriptions match yours. Then use eBay's "Contact a Seller" feature to ask about the serial number. It would also be a good idea to watch your local pawn shops to see if it turns up there.
    Good luck.

  • If I changed my Apple ID password on my iphone then log into itunes on my phone with that new password, would it automatically sync to my laptop or would i need to put the new password into my laptop also?

If I changed my Apple ID password on my iphone then log into itunes on my phone with that new password, would it automatically sync to my laptop or would i need to put the new password into my laptop also? My laptop got stolen so I changed my password and wanted to be sure it's safe to enter in the new one on my phone. I don't want it to snyc to my laptop.

    Hi loro,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I'm sorry to hear that your laptop was stolen. Changing your password was a good step.
Entering your new password on your iPhone will not affect the laptop, as mentioned in this article:
    Apple ID: Changing your password
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5624
The next time you use an Apple feature or service that uses Apple ID, you'll be asked to sign in with your new Apple ID password.
    Best Regards,
    Jeremy
