Deactivate the whole suite?

Hi,
I've come here from the help page for activating and deactivating, yet I am a careful person and I don't feel my question to be answered completely, so:
I'm ready to format and set up my computer all over. For doing so, I'd like to deactivate my Creative Suite so I can reactivate it once my PC is set up. In the help page it says to start "the application" and deactivate.
I own a license for the whole Master Cllection CS6 - is it still enough just to start Photoshop and deactivate there or does it mean to deactivate every single one of my tools? OR is there one other way to deactivate the whole Master Collection at once?
I've been waiting for days now for a new drive I can set my System up on and then for access to my account. Now both is ready (yes!) and I'd like to get going as soon as possible since I need several of the tools for work, so I'm grateful for a quick answer. Actually, for any helpful answers at all!

I don't get it. There's an offline activation mode for computers in safe offline environments - what if they need to be repaired, checked, set up fresh? There should be a possibility to just deactivate whatever is listed on your ID, so one can reinstall on another computer or a formatted one and reactivate. I hope someone will have some tips or hints on what else I could check. I so hoped for the hosts file, but that one's clean Thank you anyway, I hope I'll get some more hints

if you're using the same computer hardware to reinstall your cs3, you don't need to deactivate first.

Do I need to re-install the WHOLE suite or can I just install just Encore and Premier Pro?????

I'm having a problem with my Encore and Premier Pro software. I have the Adobe Creative Suite Production Studio Premium CS5.1. Encore will not allow me to burn DVDS. I'm getting an 52102 error...won't allow it to finish writing...ALSO Premier Pro stops after capturing about 5 or 10 minutes of video and freezes...do I need to re-install my software??? and if I do... do I need to install the WHOLE suite or can I just install just Encore and Premier Pro????? I can burn and image file and it burns DVDs on my old Corel software so I know its not the burner or the DVDs I'm using..I am in the middle of a big project for kids at school really need to figure this out...not getting anywhere online. Can anyone help??? Has anyone had this problem? Hope I'm posting this to right place. THANKS!

I haven't had 52102 error, but seen it discussed. Here are a couple of links

Burning the iso file to the dvd may not be the same process as burning directly from Encore to dvd, and so may not exhibit the same error, if any. See response 1 in the first link.

Over-view discussions of working through the whole suite of programs?

One things these forums do is allow detailed discussions of say, how to do X task in Y software.
BUT ... the whole "suite" of video programs is designed for an over-arching process, and I can't find ANYWHERE that the main process is being discussed. Just the bits and pieces of how to use each separately, or perhaps get from one program to another's tool-set & back the easiest and quickest.
Where does one go to improve one's use of the suite as a suite? Going from Story to Prelude to PPro to Ae to PPro to Sg to PPro to Audition to PPro & off to AME?

I'm not sure what others are using but this is my workflow having worked with the CC suite for less than a year:
I don't really bother with Prelude as I find Premiere does everything and more, but theoretically I could log, marker, do some (horrible) speech recognition and transcribing before scooting rushes on to Premiere. Prelude occasionally comes in handy for batch transcribing rushes that need to be passed on to facilities without native NLE's. I personally think it's pretty redundant, but happy to be corrected.
So just import, log, edit in Premiere. Temp titles, effects and rough mix all done in Premiere.
Specific VFX shots are dynamic linked to AE for more intensive work. Graphics are all prepped in Illustrator and Photoshop prior to importing into AE as layered comps. The links are then just updated in Premiere - no rendering out (at least from AE - all links still need rendering in Premiere for RT playback).
Send audio clips to Audition that need work (ie. noise reduction, dynamics, leveling off). Save and update in Premiere. I render down my Premiere audio timeline for a final mix and normalise in Audition, but I'm sure there's a more efficient way of doing this.
I still find Speedgrade a little clunky and foreign, so I'll typically dynamic link shots off to AE that need intensive grading work. I'm familiar with the AE toolkit and find I can pull keys, window and track to my hearts content easily within it. (Still haven't found a grading package as user friendly and efficient as Resolve yet).
Final checks in Premiere of the finished pictures and mixed audio track before sending off to AME for encoding for delivery. If going to a DVD I'll run the encode through TMPGEnc instead of AME as I find it handles the detail significantly better. DVD builds are still done in DVD Studio Pro, 6 years old and going strong.
And there you go.. a typical job can round trip through 6 - 7 programs quite happily. And the thing I'm loving about the Adobe suite is I injest the shoot content and then render out the final delivery and that's basically it.. no data ballooning in post, no transcoding, no render versioning, no writing out to export, and all largely non-destructive. Compared to the previous FCP/AE workflow I estimate I'm saving about 2.5x the drive space I used to use by having to transcode to Prores first. Makes me happy, makes my tape backup library happy, makes my relaxed server drives happy.
Anyone have any workflow variations, tricks or time savers they'd like to share?

You also mention that you are able to locate the serial number for Photoshop. Did that come as a part of the suite or did you purchase Photoshop as a standalone application?

Install the whole suite for calendar, email, tasks, & contacts

I'm trying to install the whole communication suite but I am unfamiliar with the application. I'm looking for all the functionality in the subject, however for 1 I don't know what all of the dependancies are. Once I install all of the dependancies I don't know how to run it and login. I checked all the documentation and the information isn't there so plz don't post a referral link.
I don't know if I need glassfish to login or something if it's a webpage interface?

If you install Instant Messaging server you also get Instant Messaging functionality.
Once I install all of the dependancies I don't know how to run it and login.Your best place to start is to follow the single-host install guide which will give you a fully functioning installation with all your requirements. If you don't want IM server then just skip that step.

Can I reinstall PS CS6 without reinstalling the whole suite

Photoshop is angry. There seems to be no solution short of uninstall/reinstall. Is there a way to uninstall just Photoshop and then reinstall just Photoshop without messing with the rest of the suite. Everything else is running smoothly. I'm running CS6 Production Premium on Windows 7 64-bit.

Simply run the suite installer again. There is no way to install apps selectively from a suite otehr than by using the customization options in the full installer. If necessary, run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool before reinstall. Though, to be honest, I think it's unlikely that your problems can be fixed with a reinstall. Perhaps simply the prefs are messed up or you installed some incompatible plug-in...

I am using Creative Suite at 2 pcs. I want to use it at my stationary pc when i am at home and when i am traveling at my laptop. I would like to solve this by activating / deactivating it on the systems. Will there be any problem when i deactivate / activate it every weekend?

Sorry, hit send too often. You can keep it activated on the two machines
with no problem at all. The EULA allows for two machines as long as you
are the primary user and both machines are not used at the same time.

if you have it installed on windows, you can use belarc advisor to recover your serial number.

Deactivate only photoshop, not the entire suite

I have CS4 installed with CS5.5 arriving soon. I want to move CS4's photoshop to my other desktop but not the whole suite because I can't move PremierePro (CS5 requires 64bit, both my machines are 32bit). How can I move/deactivate ONLY PS to move to my other PC?

Yes, I bought the upgrade license for the whole suite, but I want to
restall my old CS4 photoshop (and maybe Illustrator) on my
other desktop while still leaving it my laptop.
So I will have CS5 on my new desktop with CS4 PremierPro/AffterEffects and CS4 Photoshop/Illustrator moved to my old PC while remaining on my laptop.

I want to learn how to use adobe design studio but $480 is still too expensive for this college student (also im currently looking for a on campus job).... Is there a way of getting it any cheaper or il even take CS4 the previous version at a much cheaper price if they have it? I do not want to pirate it because i think it steals all the hard work the developers have done. Currently im working on a self project and graphics for the TV news club that im in. They do have copies at the studio but it is locked when nobody is there so i can only try it out once a week, plus they are the older versions of the suite, and the computer lab at Webb only has about 4 avaliable macs that have the whole suite and every time i have a moment to go to the lab they are taken often.... If there is a better way to obtain the software please tell me! Right now im using gimp and my trial is about to expire. If there is no other way i understand.

That is what you may have been told, but it does not work. Adobe's licensing system is designed to prevent that. In fact there are many complaints about people who have installed the trial and uninstalled it due to problems and complain how the re-install won't work.
People complain about almost everything in this world because the level of their knowledge is not up to scratch. After uninstalling, you need to clear the registry entries (in a Windows system) and this will allow you to install again. However, this is an adobe forum so I do not want to discuss this matter anymore here.

Question: Buy Only Photoshop CS6 or Whole Suite

I presently have the entire CS5 Design Suite. I mainly use Photoshop. Sometimes Illustrator and sometimes Acrobat. Don't use Dreamweaver at all. Should I just upgrade my Photoshop Extended to CS6 or should I consider buying the whole suite? Any advantages to having the whole suite that would justify the extra expense?

Since you are a student I assume you bought the Creative Suite to learn skills to help in getting a job after graduation.
Do you think that employers are looking for individuals that just "mainly use Photoshop"?
Sorry, but these days employers are looking for people with a wider spectrum of skills.
Positions that were formerly printing jobs now also want people with web skills.
Web jobs also want some familiarity with print production.
And with the move towards ePubs and Digital Publishing solutions there are demands that people learn yet another skill set.
In the job market you will be competing for jobs with people that have a wider range of skills.
If you were an employer, would you be more likely to consider an applicant that mainly has experience in one application, or would you choose an applicant that could list a half dozen applications that they were comfortable using?
I know that your question was just about upgrading to CS6; and considering that you are a student, money is probably a bit tight, don't forget that as a student you can take advantage of greatly reduced prices for Adobe products. Most people would love to be able to buy Adobe products at the prices that you at the moment have access to. Even if you don't upgrade to CS6 you will still have the ability to use CS5 even after you graduate.
But expanding your skill sets to become a more highly desirable applicant in the job market is paramount.
As a student, now is the time to learn these. Go beyond what your courses teach you; experiment, try different things. Seek out information. These forums are great for learning new things.
Get out of your comfort zone. If you have the whole Creative Suite you already have the tools. You just have to expend some time (and electrons)

Acrobat doesn't take the creative suite 4 serial number. so how do i move past the trial version

tried uninstalling/installing four times
tried the clean up tool.
i can't get past the trial version of acrobat 9 pro,
altho i had no problem with it on my previous computer.
I am so tired.

I keep having acrobat 9 as a trial version.
It asks for a serial number, but doesn't accept the serial number
I have, which is for the whole suite.
When I put the serial number for CS4 in, it puts a red X
by the number...and says that it is not valid.
It worked fine on my previous computer.
I see that others have had this problem.
However, I have not been able to resolve it.
