Deactivate this SAVE AS option

Dear all,
We are actually looking for securing of original document from saving it to any local system where thisdocument can be viewed through Easy DMS. There are certain important documents, that can be just allowed to be viewed for reading but at the same time it should not be allowed to be Saved to the local system, using SAVE AS option while accessing the document using in EASY DMS. So, we need to deactivate this SAVE AS option for the documents which is being viewed from Easy DMS
Please let me know , If SAP Easy DMS has such functionality?

When you display an original application file that is stored in a secure storage area, this indicator determines whether the file can be renamed.
To display an original application file that is stored in the SAP database, a vault, or an archive, the system creates a copy.
In the standard SAP System, the copy is assigned a name according to the naming convention defined in the program.
Some viewing programs can only find an original application file if the copy of the file has the name that the file had when it was saved to a secure storage area. In this case, the naming convention links the redline file to the viewer file.
If you set this indicator, the copy is assigned the name that the original application file had when it was saved to the secure storage area.
Procedure
Only set this indicator if your viewer application does not allow renaming of the file.

u2018ACO_SUPERu2019 is the only PFCG object for working with ACLs in SAP Easy Document Management.
PFCG roles (objects) and ACLs are independent of each other. If both PFCG objects and ACLs are maintained, the system takes both of them into account, but PFCG roles are given preference.
To be able to use object-related authorizations (ACLs) in SAP Easy Document Management, you have to carry out the following steps:
1.      Create a PFCG role or use an existing one
The PFCG role ensures access to document management. The system first checks the PFCG roles of a user. If the user has authorization for document management, the system carries out the check for ACLs.
2.      Assign user to role

Remove Save as option in R12 instance - discoverer reports

Hi,
IN R12 instance discoverer reports we find following option at top-left side of the screen
- Rerun query
- Save as
- Revert to saved
- Export
....etc
Is it possible to remove 'Save as' option? If yes, please suggest how can it be done.

Hi Kamath
The whole of the Viewer interface is customizable, meaning you turn off / on the features you want to see made available to your users. Thus, if you don't want your users to be able to Export you can turn it off.
Rod has commented that the only way you can stop a user from saving a workbook is to turn off that privilege in the Admin edition. This is absolutely correct. Just turning off or disabling the Save and Save As buttons inside Viewer will stop stop a user from saving. What it will stop is the casual saving but if a report has been modified when the user goes to exit they will be asked if they want to save, even with the Save and Save As button disabled. Thus, you do need to remove the privilege.
As for altering the look and feel of Viewer, not only can you decide which buttons to activate / deactivate, but you can also change the base fonts, color scheme and even add your corporate logo. I have been to many organizations who have changed Viewer to have the look and feel of their corporate website.

I created an office control in my web-dynpro. Now you can edit the document and when you click the save-button nothing happend.
Is there a way to deactivate the save-button or is it possible to set the document in display-mode ??

Normally, for the archiving or generation of the invoice document in PDF format is handled by maintaining the output records through VV31/VV32 with the relevant printer, storage mode ( 3- print and archive or 2- archive only ), no. of messages ( means no of copies ) in the communication method.
Then when you click the print button through VF03 in the print options pop-up you get a print at the physical printer and at the same time an archived copy ( PDF copy ) attached with the document.
So, please make sure the output records are fine to allow a PDF copy generated and then try to print and check in VF03 by entering into the billing document.

IN ALV Report 'SAVE LAYOUT' option missing

Dear All,
I have created one report in ALV GRID using ABAP OBJECTS(Using class CL_GUI_CUSTOM_CONTAINER and
CL_GUI_ALV_GRID).But in output when i click on change layout option i am not getting SAVE layout option.
I have already passed I_SAVE parameter = 'A' while calling metod SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY. But i didnt worked.

Hi,
You can manage display variants by using parameters, is_variant and i_save of set_table_for_first_display. Here are options for variant handling. <structure_name> is the variant-defining structure of type DISVARIANT. The field report in this structure should contain the value of sy-repid.

Go to SU01/SU3 ( to ur ID) select parameters tab and then scrol down and press F4 select SD_VARIANT_MAINTAIN and in the next field select A or X then try it will allow u to save ur own variant.(the save icon come to screen variant selection screen)

By default, SAP user can't save report layout in some SAP SD t-code such as: VA05 and SDO1. The 'save' menu will be grey. But, you actually can save the layout by adding a parameter in your SAP user profile. You do that with t-code: SU3. Go to 'parameters' tab and add new parameter id, which is: SD_VARIANT_MAINTAIN'. The parameter value for that is 'A'. Then save your user profile and try again to save layout in VA05 or SDO1 t-code.

I have BEx Web analyzer integrated with SAP- NW portal 7.0.
Everything is working fine .
I go to new analysis and select a query.
After this when I go for " Save As" option.
System and Type comes grayed out. Is there anyway to enable them ?
or
Would they remain disable as we have already selected the query from required system , I am not sure . please suggest

Problem with save as option in version 10 or above

Hi,
I have created a pdf using pdfbox api which has links to go to a particular page in pdf. When a create a copy of this pdf using Save as option and open that copy pdf the links dont work in adobe reader versions 10 or above while they are working fine in older versions 8,9 etc. Can anybody help me why this is happening and hpw to resolve this issue.

While saving the copy of created pdf in reader 10 or above, if i enable Save As optimizes for Fast web view links stop working else they are working fine. Can you help me with how to uncheck this option automatically. Please provide a solution as i have been looking for the resolution for last couple of weeks and need to resolve asap.

16bit? Pixels extending beyond the canvas? (from a crop with delete unused pixels turn off). Have you previously been saving PSD files?
IME you sometimes have to tell Photoshop that the first save of a session is JPG, and it remembers from there on. The way to 'tell' Photoshop that JPG, or PDF, or PNG etc are now your preferred format is to Ctrl (Cmd) click on that format in the Save As drop down list. So long as the file does not have parameters that your chosen format does not support, then this should work for you.
[EDIT] Just noticed that you did include 'Crop' in the subject line. Do you have 'Delete cropped pixels' checked?

Popup with open and save file option

I have created a button on my page name as "Export File" and created a process and called on "EXPORT FILE" button. I am using utl file in this procedure and i want to download this file and file will be .ics file using for calendar.
My page process code is

Have you installed any new Software/Spyware/Virus Scanner etc.Check it out.It might have caused the issue for last 5 days.
This issue is fixed in Latest Support Package Versions.
Which Version of Support Package you are using?
If EP6 <SP19 you will face this issue.
Just upgrade it to EP6, Support Pack-19,this will be resolved.
Upgrade of Support Pack wont take much time.you can get the document under http://service.sap.com/instguides

How to control save as option in a jsp whose content type is PDF

I have one jsp in which i am showing PDF, it means it content type is PDF. I want to control save as option in it,
i.e when a user tries to save it the default name which is coming it is name of the jsp, but i want default name is dynamic which depends upon user.
I used response.setHeader(content-deposition,inline;filename=abcd.pdf) , but it doesnt work. if i use
response.setHeader(content-deposition,attachment;filename=abcd.pdf) then it is working but it straight away giving option as "U want to open or want to save it". I dont want this i want first PDF to be shown in jsp then if some one wants to save he will click on save button in PDF and there and want this option.

Don't use JSP to serve a binary file. It almost implies the use of awful scriptlets and the invocation of both the response writer and the response outputstream which would only lead to IllegalStateException headaches in the server logs.
Use a Servlet instead. Specify the file name as request parameter and let the servlet read the file and write it to the outputstream of the response.

I want the 'Save as' option to specify a location when I save a document or file rather then always save to downloads.

I'm constantly downloading files that should go into a specific folder but I don't have a 'Save As' option when I choose to save. As a result everything goes into the Download folder. This means I have to go to the download folder and move it.
How can I get Save As as an option when saving content?

You can specify the download location in '''Tools''', '''Options''', '''General'''. This is the place where you also can tell Firefox to ask the location each time you do a download.
