Deactivating CUA

We have a DEV environment with two SRM client and one BW client, with users managed by a CUA client.
Now we changed our definitions and decided to no longer use CUA.
What should I do to deactivate CUA configuration ?
I want that all systems work as independent systems and not as a child from CUA that would be eliminated.

In order to deactivate CUA please go to transactions SCUA. here you will find the model view for CUA. Now in menu go to DISTRIBUTION MODEL and then choose DELETE.
Select the radio button COMPLETE CUA. Now press the execute button. Since you are doing it for the first time to have a better idea first run it in test mode. Then you can uncheck the test mode option and go for actual deletion. This would completely delete CUA from your SAP.

Missing reactivate CUA

Hi All,
Previously due to the wrong client copy I manage to deactivate the CUA by following this guide:

Currently my system was solman 7.1
After deactivate the CUA I was forgot and change some parameters then restart the instance.
After restart, logon back to the system, goto SCUA and then the reactivate menu become washout which is I cant execute reactivate anymore.
Try to recreate the CUA not possible.
If there any guide or same experience regarding this will much be appreciated.

Did you meant you temporarily deactivated CUA in SCUA and now the reactivate option is greyed off.Remember tis action is to be done only at the CUA Master system.
Quick thing to check if Child CUA is disjoint from Master CUA run tcode SU01. You will only see change and Lock icons on the top.If the answer is no execute SAP program RSDELCUA and delete the child system after unchecking the test check box and click on execute.
If the above answer is yes execute SAP Program RSDELCUA and choose the invlaid content in CUA Tables radio button and uncheck the Test checkbox and execute.
Then go to CUA Master and run RSDELCUA and remove the required child system. Once done run SCUA and add the child system once again.Once it is saved your SU01 icons would be vanished except change and lock which means its activated back in CUA. Then you do a SCUG and SCUL to migrate users and company address.

How to deactivation temporary CUA?

Hi,
   I need to deactivate CUA. How I can do it?
I think that across Stcode SCUA, in the Distrubition Model menu there is an option disabled 'Temporary Deactivation' and 'Reactivate CUA' to do it but how to enabled these options??
My issue is that I have to delete the master user in a child system and then, I distribute the users from CUA. Now, with CUA active i don't delete users locally.
Step by step in detail:
1. Has a system or refresh copy from system 1 to system 2.
2. Now the users in system 2 are wrong.
3. In CUA the users from system 2 are correct because I don't transfer the 'new users' from system 1.
4. I want to deactivate CUA for delete locally users i system2.
5. I want to distrubute from CUA the right users to system 2.
Can someone help me?

In our Solution Manager, Cua central system, this transaction that you indicate me doesn't exist!!!
There are another way to run that same thing?

Issues with User ID in CUA

Friends,
We have CUA running in ULM system. We have bunch of ECC 6.0 systems connected to it and running successfully. Also we have some 4.7 systems without any trouble.
When we connected the XI systems to the CUA, the password for the one of the user ID got deactivated.
Also the user type got changed from Service to Communication and password got deactivated.
This didnt happen in D or A box.
My luck that ID used by some web services and we had outage because of failed transmissions between XI and other systems.
Any reason why this happened.

This note is definitely a new learning but couldnt help in my issue.
As such we have created process to perform check for critical background ID's once system got connected and users are migrated.
We still have 4 P systems to be connected.

CUA has lot of problems !! Please help

We have 10 systems(multiple clients in few systems) configured in CUA. Sometimes the roles dont get replicated, sometimes the IDOCs are not passed from parent to child,
I added a new system to the Parent CUA and when I was assigning roles to a user for that child system thru CUA, the CUA surprisingly deleted all the other roles the user had in other system. The new system access was not touched
*Question 1: I have 3 jobs running PFCG_TIME_DEPENDENCY, RBDAPP01 and SUSR_ZBV_GET_RECEIVER_PROFILES in all the child systems. I know PFCG is a needed job for user comparison. Do I need the other jobs ?*
I have RBDAPP01 to process IDOCs and SUSR for the user comparison of roles.
Since there are a lot of issues in our current CUA environment( our CUA is on Solution Manager 4.0), I am thinking of deleting the current CUA and configuring it again. Its very difficult to do trouble shooting going in SCUL logs and pin point what really happened.
In RSDELCUA there are 3 options. Can I select " Delete CUA" and will it delete the CUA landscape or I would still need to go in WE20 and delete the partner profiles and do other steps?
What I am looking for is a way where I can configure CUA from scratch by deleting the current CUA
( It sits on Sol Man 4.0). I am thinking if I configure if properly, it will function smoothly

For deactivating the Child system you need to run RSDELCUA from se38. We can delete the Child system from SCUA but that is not recomended. It creates a problem related to the Partner Profiles and related Ports for which the Icons in respective Child may not be active. For this we need to run WE20.
The job PFCG* should be scheduled to run at a particular time. As for the other 2 jobs you mentioned I dont see any harm in running those but in most cases PFCG* is sufficient. (Ans to Ques 1).
Any reason that you want to recreate the CUA? It may be the case that SCUM is not configured properly for the new system that you have added. Instead of starting from scratch I beleive its best you check with the new system where the other roles are getting deleted.

BBPMAININT and CUA

Hello Experts,
We are implementing SRM 5.0 and CUA in our company. I have come across this situation due to the CUA. Our scenario is CUA is seperate system by itself and all the SRM, BW and EP clients/systems are set as Child.
And we have activate the workflow 1000209 for external userid creation and also developed a Zworkflow for creating userids for employees of Business Partners(suppliers).
Due to setup of CUA and Child restrictions, SU01 is locked which is causing the issues in EBP client. Is there any solutions you can recommend to resolve this will be greatly appreciated. We have no issues in creation internal userids. USERS_GEN is working as usual.
Please point me to right direction to have the workflows work as intended along with CUA.

Automatically deactivate password on CUA

We have a system whereby user-accounts are automatically created from Active Directory to SAP. As these users are normally only used for acces from a portal the password should be de-activated. We need to do this from the CUA-system as password changes are not allowed on the child-system.
When a new user is created the password is of course always initial but Is there a way to automatically deactivate the password directly after an account is created ?

Hi Jurjen,
It is not enough to disable the password, you have to actively set the password to "deactivated".
These users come from an HR-portal where their identity is verified via ldap but connect to backend-system to get the relevant HR-data per user. To prevent them getting a logon-screen when connecting the password needs to be deactivated (which is something else than disabled). As the users are automatically created on a CUA-system we need to add a step somewhere to do this deactivation. Hope this clarifies my question.

Which SRM and R/3 versions are you using ?
For RFC users in SRM server the RFC user should have SAP_ALL access and also the SAP_BBP_STAL_Administrator role.
We have used Solution Manager(SM) as CUA to generate the User-Ids so that there will be a central creation of users and which will follow to R/3 and SRM and all other systems through Solution managers.

How can I delete an iTunes account that has been deactivated?

I deleted an old Apple ID with the help of a call to Apple Support. However, my iphone is still trying to use the old ID. How do I log out of the old ID and into the new? Or, how can I delete the old ID when it has already been deactivated? (Cannot delete with phone)

Logical systems in production with CUA

Hi,
We have recently implemented CUA and are rolling out ECC 6.0. We created the logical systems for development, QA, and production in the development system and transported them to QA and production.
The solution manager system is the CUA master.
We normally only have production logical systems defined in production and would like to remove the development, QA, and solution manager systems. If we attempt to delete these definitions in production in SALE, it complains that the logical system is still used in distrubution model CUA, although solution manager, not production, is the CUA master.
If we are using CUA, do we have to have all logical systems defined in all client systems?

I don't think that's quite it. SM1 is the master. I'm in the production system (PE1) trying to delete the development system (DB1). I am not trying to delete SM1. I'm getting the following message.
Logical system DB1CLNT300 must not be deleted
Message no. B1199
Diagnosis
The logical system DB1CLNT300 is still used in distribution model CUA (client 800).
System Response
The deletion cannot be carried out.
Procedure
Confirm that the logical system DB1CLNT300 is really no longer used. Delete it first from distribution model CUA (client 800), then delete it here.

After doing what she asked, I deactivated, and uninstalled my Adobe Creative Suite 2. Everything. So after all this, I reinstalled, entered in the new serial I got through their webpage for the special version after creating an Adobe ID. Guess what? After an unpleasant re-installation process (there is three downloaded parts you have to download for CS2 in which disc2 and disc3 are set on a default path that is separate from disc1 which you need to converge being it creates two folders with similar naming structures), and I ended up opening Adobe Photoshop only to find it say the very same thing I meant to avoid: your serial, name, organization, yadha, yadha, is incorrect/missing. Adobe will now close.
So frustrated with this company, and its support.

Well, now I cannot reproduce the error because I cannot install it again! Woohoo! For some reason, all three discs executables try installing the folders, files, etc... into a different folder making it when I try installing CS2 impossible since it asks for Disc 2, Disc 3, etc..
ANYWAY, my main issue was began with when I somehow managed to install it correctly, I got the very same message I contacted you guys over: Adobe Photoshop will now close because missing serial number something like that, and following it saying it will close.

I deactivated my student edition of CS6 Design and Web Premium, go to activate it on my new computer and serial code is invalid.

I downloaded the design and web premium, and entered a serial code to start it as the full version. However, after the install, it asked me for my serial code again. I entered it, and it didn't work. I tried registering my serial code on the adobe site, and it says it's invalid. My school gave it to me last year and it worked fine on my old computer. In that time, creative cloud came out and trials stopped being available as they were before. How I got it before was installing the trial, then activating it with my code. I have a PC and am running windows 7. My laptop is old and really just not up for the games I play or designing anymore, so I built a desktop. Successfully deactivated it, why can't I get it on my new computer? I am able to open the software as a trial, but I want to activate it. The error message I get in-program is "this serial number is not valid for adobe indesign/photoshop/illustrator CC 2014." Any suggestions?

if you're being asked for two serial numbers, you're probably using an upgrade serial number at the first prompt and the second prompt is probably for the serial number of a previous version.

How to download Creative Cloud on new computer after deactivating on another computer?

I need to switch a Creative Cloud license from one computer to another. I deactivated the license via the CC Desktop App and then uninstalled it from the first computer. Now I want to download it on the other computer and activate. The Adobe website does not make it easy to figure out how to do that. Their standard help page only got me as far as deactivation from the first computer. Can someone tell me how to download it? The company I work for already has a license paid for.

My iPhone 5s keeps deactivating itself.

Let it first be said that I jumped in a pool with my iPhone 5s. I was able to open it up, dry it out, and it was functioning fine until I left it out in a rainstorm. At first, everything was fine, but I started noticing that a few things were amiss. I could listen to my iPhone with earphones, but was not getting full sound out of my Apple earphones with a mic. Also, Bluetooth would work for Siri, but not for a phone call. I don't know where the signal went, I couldn't hear anything until I went back to the iPhone. Finally, since I upgraded to 8.0.2 my phone keeps deactivating itself and can't keep a good cellular signal. Of course, by now I've messed around inside my phone several times. Anyone?

Someone else may be able to offer suggestions, but my best guess is the water has permanently damaged some components. The only solution is to replace your phone.
Seeing as you've worked on it yourself, Apple will not sell you an out of warranty replacement. You would have to pay full price for a phone.
You may want to seek help over at ifixit.com to see if anyone there has had similar issues/can suggest parts to try replacing.
