Deactivation of code groups and task codes in PM/CS notification

hi experts, would like to ask regarding Plant Maintenance and Customer Service module. Is it possible to disable code groups and task codes assign to notification type? instead of just deleting it? We have a config made on which the old format is no longer applicable so we need to exclude the old one on the selection so that users may not be confused of having so many options in the list.
Please suggest procedure on how can I make it.

Catalogs, code groups and codes not available in service order in Web UI

Hi,
I have created and maintained a subject profile for the service orders that i am using for my business scenarios. The same is visible under the objects tab in transaction data of the service order business transaction in the SAP GUI.
However the same are not visible anywhere in the Web UI (they are not available in the list of available fields as well in BSP_WD_CMPWB for BT116H_SRVO).
Can some1 pls advice me with the steps so as to make the catalogs, code groups and codes in my service orders available in the Web UI screen as well.
Will really appreciate if detailed steps are provided since I am new to Web UI technology.

I'm 99% sure (although dont quote me as I dont have a developer key so I cant finish my testing) that you're missing the context Nodes - so although you have the assignment block yuo have no link between the code set and the service order header. You havent referenced them in your comments on this post in any case.
Try this:
Go into BSP_WD_CMPWB
In the Browser component Structure open folder Component > Views
Double-click BT116H_SRVO/DetailsOV and in the structure expand to BT116H_SRVO/DetailsOV > BT116H_SRVO/DetailsOV > View Controller > DetailsOV.do > Context
Right-click on folder Context Node and click Create
Follow through the wizard defining a Z context Node (e.g. ZBTSubject) and a Model Node of BOL Entity BTSubject
Define any Dependencies etc you may wish to have and so on (most of the wizard is optional)
Repeat the same for the BOL Entity BTSubjectSet
Now go back in and see if your values are populating. I'm not a developer (and never have been), so I cant guarantee this will work as I dont have a developer key to test this, but I am quite sure that this needs to be done for you to get your values populating.

What are exit code 6 and exit code 7

Since the event this afternoon, I have been trying to update the products in CC to 2014. I keep getting an error without being able to finish installation and get either of the exit codes 6 or 7. I have tried to troubleshoot by changing to IE (my default was Waterfox), turing off my firewall, turning off my anti-virus, running CC in administrator mode and then making sure adobe.com was on every white list in my computer....all to no avail. I really would like to try these out, but disappointed that only one out of the 5 I've tried have installed correctly.

Link between code and code groups and inspection type

Hi All,
I want to know the link between code and Code Group for UD and inspection type?
There is an option of choosing Usage selected set in SPRO "Seeting for inspection type".If i dont enter anything there,will it show all the code groups in the system while taking UD?

Hi Shreya,
Yes, the link between code and Code Group for UD and inspection type is specific selection of UD related to specific inspection type. Ex. there are separate UD codes individually for Goods receipt against PO, Gr against Production or for In-process inspection ets. so If you assign the selected sets at SPRO Inspection type, then while doing UD system will show UD codes related to only that inspection type.
If you don't enter anything there at SPRO, you will see all the code groups in the system while taking UD and one can get confused in selecting the relevant code.
so assigning of UD selected sets, plant wise (tick) at " Inspection types" is best practice.

I'm defining a new country into the step 'Define countries in R/3 system' : this country is 'Serbia-Montenegro' but when I click on 'New entries' and I'm seeking for the code country I don't find it..and the same thing it happens for the ISO code because I don't find the step into customizing where I can enter the ISO code which I after should select (CS) while I enter the severals fields into 'Define countries in R/3 system' in customizing...How can I do?Thanks in advance bye

Codes used in Foreign Trade Statistics (Note 851943) and ISO codes (Note 693152 / 1932513) are quite often identical but not always. This is the case for Serbia and Montenegro.

Copy Material Codes, Costs, and Cost Code Distribution

Has any one come up with way to copy material codes with their unit prices and cost code distributions from one project(or template) to another? When a user has a large inventory of material codes, it would be helpful to be able to copy, or import these to a new project.

Forgot to mention that CMPlus will copy Materials from one project to another with the unit pricing of the current project HOWEVER, the cost distribution is tied to the contract that the material is associated with. If you are using materials with Daily Reports to track material not related to a contract then this will be all you need. IF you are using Materials in association with line items on a contract/PO then it will populate the selection list but you will need to perform more data entry to properly link to the contract.
By performing this copy from one project to the other the capability to "Generate" materials from a contract or PO is no longer functional because the Material already exists as far a Contract Manager is concerned
One more item to think about - materials can only be associated with one contract - that does not mean that a material can not be used on more than one contract.
I am assuming that since you are asking this question that you have been using materials on your projects and understand the nuances and issues with the way CM handles Materials.

Find the KOSTL(cost center) value using coing group and coding code

Can we get the value cost center Kostl by using coding code and coding group. As per the requirement the coding group is specified in the table qmel-qmgrp and the coding code is qmel-qmcod.. So by using this values only can we get the KOSTL value..Please do help me in this regard.

so the thing is for the particular coding group QMGRP we have the coding codes QMCOD assigned to it and for the transaction QM01 we cannot have the notification number (as this number is generated only after the transaction is completed)only the notification type is specified in first screen after we press enter a subscreen with Production order number is specified press enter,
later in the first tab strip specify any material number and also plant number later the defect location and defect type, later in the subject tab strip in the coding group we get the F4 help for the coding code and group,there by picking any of the elements we also get the KOSTL value in text so i was just worried where can we get this value i have checked for the options that u have specified but this doesn't work for me...

*I should replicate codes to be used both in multilevel categorization (for instance in Service Orders, Service Confirmations) and in Enterprise Intelligence

I used the IMG path mentioned above to add the cause code. Why do you need EEWB to add the cause code ? EEWB is only required to add new fields to the screen. All I am doing is to add some custom (Z*) cause codes into the catalog so that user can select them when creating complaints.
Problem I am facing is when I try to delete some of these Z cause codes from the config (that were created long ago and we don't need anymore). Usage indicator on them are set and hence wouldn't let me delete it. I need to know what process sets this field?

How to track a status of release w.r.t PR and rel. group and rrel.code?

We have configured release strategy( Over all release stragey) for a particular PR type..
We have two issues..
1. We want to track the dates of different release status..Like when first level release and when second release happened and so on..From which table we can get this information..
2. We want to have release stragegy through work flow..The requirement is particular group PR should be go to one particular user for approval and once he approves later all PRs should go to one user for approval..
i.e. 1.Specific users PR should go to specific user for first level approval..Here mulity user for first level approval.
2. First level approval is over final approval should go to one specific user for final approval..Here only one user for approval.
Can anyone suggest something on this..

For both of your requirement you have configure the WORKFLOW for release strategy for P.O (or) P.R.
Please consult your SAP ABAP team they will do the config for the W/F (Workflow)
In that only you have first release date and second release date. In std release of P.O this cannot be achieved.

System error code 5 (and error code 80240016)

I was having trouble with Windows updater (error code 80240016) when I tried to install SP1, and then found the solution was to open service command and follow the instructions given on this microsoft site (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/957307) . BUT it didn't work, because for some reason access was denied and it kept saying 'System Error Code 5". I don't know what it means and how to fix it!
Please help, I can't update windows until this issue is resolved!

I was under the impression that the article was operating system agnostic and that the settings would work for any version of Windows.
I would recommend that you take advantage of the free, unlimited support that Microsoft is offering for Windows Update issues.
This will connect you directly with the support engineers that specialize in WU problems. Be sure and include an exact description of the problem, including the proxy connection you use.

Ok, error code 6 and error code 3

hello all,
I can read discs and watch dvds. however, when i attempt to write, i started getting an error code 6. so i removed 3 preference files, and started to get an error code 3.
the wierd thing is that sometimes i can burn a cd, but most of the time not.
I am in the middle of re-installing osX, but i know the problem will return again.
any advice?

Trnsaction Code OASV and Transaction Code OAMK

Hi friends,
I have a doubt.
Transaction Code OASV is for loading the GL balances for Assets. (giving effect in GL Books)
Transaction Code OAMK is for setting and Resetting the reconciliation account.
Question:
1) Whether do I need to reset the Reconcilaition account in transaction Code OAMK, before posting in transaction code OASV?
2) If I Credit the Accumulated Depreciation & Debit the Initial Upload in transaction Code OASV, whether this accumulated depreciation will cause probllem, when system posts the depreciation through transaction Code AFAB?

1) No, you don't have to do it. OASV will allow you to post to FA reconciliation accounts.
2) No. it won't. This is the way to reconcile the FI-AA sub-ledger and FI-GL. After OASV check the asset history sheet as of the takeover date.

Everytime i open itunes it says "error code (-42032)" and "error code (42022)" how can i resovle this problem?

this problem has recently occured for unkown reasons, i opened itunes and error messages where there, i have tried re-installing itunes but it freezes and makes me cancel the dowload. when i plugged my i-pod into the computer it didnt open itunes (which it should do) and when i opened itunes the ipod connection wasnt being picked up. how can i fix this problem?
