Deactivation Problems with CS3

Dreamweaver CS3 will no longer deactivate. I use the software
on an office machine, a home machine and a laptop. One of the best
features of CS3 (IMO) is the deactivate/activate ability, which I
think is a very fair way to handle licensing. In the last few days
deactivation will no longer work, I get error code 194:14 with no
other information about the error. I've called customer service but
there solution is to uninstall the software and call back for an
exception code to reactivate the software but they have no word on
the deactivation issue. I don't want to be tethered to one machine
or have to go through the uninstall/reinstall cycle over and over.
Any help would be appreciated.
p.s.--- is the something that lists what the error codes
mean?

Here's my horror story that's making me consider other
software for the future. I bought Photoshop CS3 and Web Standard
CS3 about a month apart back in the fall of 07. Installed each
piece of software on one home computer and each on one work
computer just as the license says I can.
Late December I get an SATA drive for my home comp. I
deactivate all software off my computer, change the old drive out
and install the new fresh drive, get everything back up and running
and reactivate my Adobe software. No problem.
January 08 I get a new computer at work so I deactivate both
pieces of software, swap out computers, reinstall and reactivate.
No problem.
April 08, I get another new computer to replace the computer
I just got in January 08 because they offered me a much better
computer then what we got in the fist new batch from January so of
course I jump at the chance to get the best comp in the company.
But now I can’t deactivate either of my pieces of software
from the January work computer. So I can’t run it on my new
computer. No matter how many times I’ve tried both pieces
just keep saying: “This software can not be deactivated. You
may still use this software on this computer”. And this
happens on both pieces of software. So now I can’t use it on
my new computer. And what’s going to happen when I want to
upgrade my home computer this summer? It’s 5 years old.
Adobe is really screwing their customers. I can’t
freely upgrade my computer at home and/or at work without losing
access to the software I bought. $800.00 worth. I suppose I could
call them, but do I really have to do this every time I want to
make a computer or hardware change to one of my two computers, home
and work? It’s bogus. And so they can stop what? This
activation junk isn’t doing anything but p-off paying
customers.

Deactivation problem - I think

I have had Photoshop CS4 running on a computer since 2008. Now that computer has crashed so badly it won't start at all and it's so old it's not worth it to have it fixed. Thus I can't deactive CS4 on that computer. I have downloaded CS4 from the "My orders" page on my account and installed it on the new computer, but it won't accept the serial number and won't activate CS4on the new computer - likely because it hasn't been deactivated on the old computer. I have been on line in a Adobe service chat for more than an hour and been through two departments, but they ended up saying they didn't support that old program versions and linked me to this forum. Though I explained the problem five times, entered my personal details three times and the serial number for CS4 four times, I never felt sure they understood what the problem was. Can anybody here help?

I think it emits pretty specific messages about the number of activations exceeded if it fails to activate for that reason, so I'm guessing that's not the issue. Adobe absolutely has to support the ongoing activation of older versions you've purchased. They have called it a "perpetual license" after all.
Can you be more specific? Exactly what are you seeing happen? Screen grabs would be best.

I have a major problem since 2 weeks that I can't explain.
Most of my fonts are automatically deactivated. And some are really Basics.
I mean : Vedana and Times New Roman, quite essentials even for just open some software.
I have to reactivate it manually, and it takes hours....
Any idea for an issue ?
I could'nt see any case like mine on google ( or maybe I missed it )
Is there any clean possible to make ?
I made a Sophos, a cache cleaner but without effects

About two weeks ago before this started did you download some 3rd party software? Maybe sophos, maybe MacKeeper, or something else. Figure out what it was if so and remove it according to the developer's instructions.
After you've removed any suspect software, start your Mac in safe mode, by following the instructions here:

After safe mode has booted properly, log out and log back in again as normal.

IMessage deactivating problems

I have recently sold my iPhone for a phone without iMessage. However I haven't been receiving messages who previously sent messages via iMessage. I have wiped my phone and unregistered my iPhone on the apple website but it still isn't working properly.
How do I unregistered iMessage off my iPad without disabling my applications?

I apologize about the odd style but I'm using voice rec software. I just got the Galaxy S five and I have this problem too after weeks of searching online I finally figured out the problem it is with iMessage even if you have your old phones imessage switched off. you have to get your friends to text you normally and send. If the text bubble shows up blue, press and hold choose option send as SMS or text and the bubble will change to green green means SMS blue is the iMessage so its up to the iPhone user to take literally a half of an extra step to send a text to you and if they don't do that then they're just jerks

Photoshop CS deactivation problem

I am installing Photoshop CS (just plain ol' CS, not 1 or 2) on a new machine and I need to remove it on my old machine since I already have it activated on my lap top. I encountered a bit of a snag. On the "help" menu, there is no "Deactivate" choice. Only "activate" is there (and it is greyed out). Is there another way to deactivate it?

With the very flawed activation/reactivation process for CS, which was also prone to corruption occurring for unknown reasons, Adobe is very long overdue to issuing a patch that would either correct the problem or completely eliminate the need to do an activation. I suspect it unlikely they'll ever do anything to address that issue, failing to acknowledge the fact that for some, an older version is well enough to meet their needs and there is no reason to upgrade. One should not have to upgrade only to obtain a fix to a problem in such expensive software.

Code Deactivation problem

I had my Photoshop Elements 8 program installed on two computers. I uninstalled it on both without deactivating the code. I reinstalled it on both of them to deactivate the code, but the program is deactivated on both of my computers. When I try to activate it, it says the code is already active on two other computers. Can I get my code deactivated some other way than from the Help bar on my Elements program?

Deactivation problem Dreamweaver 8

I have dreamweaver 8, and I just upgraded to a new computer and would like to install Dreamweaver on this computer. I uninstalled Dreamweaver, and then went to reinstall it on the new computer, but it told me that I could not because the activation code was already in use.
During the removal process, the computer did not prompt or offer the option to uninstall. I did reinstall Dreamweaver 8 on the old computer, and there is no "deactivate" option as there is in CS3 and later editions.
Any ideas? Adobe Support has not been helpful.

If I remember right, there's a special support number on the activation screen to where you don't have to go through normal product tech support. If you call them, it's a fairly quick/painless process (or, at least has been for me in the past) to have them reset all your activations so you're starting from 0 again.

Product deactivation problem

Not sure if this is the right forum...
I've got a number of licenses for Adobe CS and I need to deactivate one of the licenses.
What has happened is that a member of my design team has since left the company, but had installed a copy of Adobe CS on their home computer, using up one of the licenses.
I obviously need that license but don't have access to that computer.
What to do?

Ask the person to deactivate his home version. He/She should be willing to accommodate you. An alternative would be to contact Adobe Customer Service. They might be able to deactivate his machine remotely or invalidate the serial number and provide you with a new one. Or they might be willing to just provide you with a new activation. You should be prepared to prove ownership. However, they may not want to perform a remote de-activation without a court order, as some might consider this to be the digital version of breaking and entering. I know Amazon will not turn off or track down stolen Kindles without a court order.

Everytime I log into creative cloud I get an error saying either account maintenance or this section of creative cloud is experiencing problems

Cleared cache, site comes. Click to download creative cloud app (this is a new work laptop), sign in. Error comes up after a few seconds.
Been happening for about 12 hours now. Really need to get my work software running on my work laptop....

Problem with my second computer activation

Hi, I need to install CC on my second computer (Mac Book Pro) but, after download programs, I see that "trial period is finished" and the program asks me a serial number (I have no serial number…)…. how can I do?
On my first computer (IMac) it's all ok.

CS4 Deactivation Denied Error Code: 194:3

I have Illustrator CS4 that I'm trying to deactivate from an old Windows Vista 64-bit computer. I have internet access and all my anti-virus software is up-to-date, but I keep getting "Deactivation Denied" and Error Code: 194:3. I've never deactivated this program before and I've restarted my computer and AI a couple of times with no success. Any suggestions?

Did you try to install from a back up with other software or the actual DVD? Full reformat of all your hard drives should have left nothing on the hard drives. You only installed the software one time meaning that you still have one install remaining.

Why am I aasked to sign in EACH time I start computer. This just began a month ago, never had this annoying problem before.

When I start the computer, 99 out of 100 times, I get Server not found, try again, and when I click on that I get to my home page. Whenever I start computer, even when I don't get that message, I am asked to sign in, and enter my user name and password. I always opt for 2 weeks, but no matter, I still have to sign in. This never happened until about a month ago.If I shut down the computer and start it an hour or so later, it STILL happens.
