Dead Battery image appears even though it was fully charged

Hi there I need help!!
OK so I've had my iphone for about a week now and yesterday while I was on the phone it dropped my call. When I pressed the home button the dead battery image appeared. This had me confused because prior to making the call, the battery displayed it was fully charged. When I plugged the iphone to the USB adaptor it chared for bearly 2 minutes and made a noise saying it was fully charged. During this time I recieved a text saying I had a new voicemail message but I didn't recieve the missed call. So I reset the phone and I restored it like a new phone with the new 2.2.1 version just to be safe. Today it did exactly the same thing. Any suggestions before I go to the apple store? Is there anything else I can do?
Frustrated!!!!!

Sounds like a problem phone. If you are in the US, you have 90 days of complimentary support, so call U.S. iPhone technical support: 1-800-MY-IPHONE (1-800-694-7466) and see if they have any suggestions.

phone 4 just turned itself off, won't turn on again - sleep/wake button hasn't worked for a while - tried charging (even though it was 50% charged when it shut down) and that makes no difference....either via usb to computer and direct to wall socket. Any suggestions...other than heading off to the genius bar tomorrow?

Well, the sleep/wake button is also the power button. If you cannot use it to turn on, then you cannot use it to perform a reset by holding it and the home button together until you see the Apple logo. Those are the only two ways to turn the device on. You can try letting the battery go completely dead and then trying to plug it in. After it has charged for 20-30 minutes, the device may come back on. But, without the sleep/wake button, there is no other way to turn the device on or off.

• TS1713 My mac sometimes will not power up even though it is fully charged and no matter how many key's I touch will not bring it on. It comes on after about 10 minutes and I have to shut down about 6 windows before I can open up a browser.

My mac will not power up even though it is fully charged. It only happens occasionally and when I try to power up after about 10 minutes it comes to life but has 6 or 7 windows that I have to close in order to open up my browser.

• My iPad will not turn on even though it is fully charged. Any suggestions?

I was using my iPad earlier this morning without a problem. I plugged it in to charge because the battery was running low, and I left it alone to charge. I came back to unplug it and use it, but it will not even turn on even though I checked it maybe an hour ago to find that its progress was at 85 percent. How do I turn it back on at this point? I press the power button, the center button, and nothing happens. Please help, thank you!

• Droid mini is dead even though it was on charger for 2 hours

my phone died, put it on the charger and 2 hours later it won't do anything

I've had chargers die, cables get flakey, plugged into a socket which is controlled by a wall switch turned off. ive had my battery slip off its connections.
Start a systematic experiment to narrow root cause.
Reseat battery.
Use another USB cable. Try a computer or car radio USB port, try a car charger....
Good luck.

Have you tried a soft-reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo will hopefully appear and it will boot up.

Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. • On yosemite - update itunes 12.1.2 notification appears repeatedly even though it was updated.

on yosemite - am notified every few days to update itunes 12.1.2 even though it was updated.
No indication that previous updates failed.
Update has the same version number and the same description.
I see it also listed as a previous update.

Actually, I found other posts implicating Spotlight (which may be finding and referring to a copy of iTunes.app it found elsewhere, even if that copy is no longer around). Trying the re-indexing (forcing re-indexing is the proposed solution) now.
Interestingly, the command sudo mdutil -E on its own didn't seem to get Spotlight to dump its index and start re-indexing. It took adding the root path like this: sudo mdutil -E /
Update
Strangely, other apps started showing up in Spotlight searches after only a few seconds. After a few minutes into the indexing, any app I'd try would show up, but iTunes still wouldn't. On the command line, I entered:
mdimport /Applications/iTunes.app
This command forces Spotlight to index (import the metadata of) the specified target. I then tried the search again and it found it right away. Refreshed App Store's Updates page and iTunes remained. I'll wait until the indexing is done then restart and see if that helps.

Thank you for approving my feed iTunes . The only problem is, there is no art work, even though artwork was submitted correct sizes and formats were used. Why is this and how can the problem be rectified?

Thanks for getting back. Hadn't got round to re uploading the amended feed. I just did it now.
The only thing is, Feed Validator doesn't like it because of the picture size, and a couple of other things, it reeds the following:
Sorry
This feed does not validate.
line 22, column 14: width must be between 1 and 144: 1400 [help]

In addition, interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations.
Your feed appears to be encoded as "utf-8", but your server is reporting "US-ASCII" [help]

• I was using my Macbook when it suddenly shut down, I was updating a program so I had the charger on even though there was still 90 percent of power in the computer. I tried to turn on the computer several times but is not working, what can I do?

I was using my Macbook when it suddently shut down, I was updating the operating system so I had the charger on even though there was still 90 percent of energy. I tried to turn my Mac several times but it doesn`t turn on, also the green light of the charger is not working, it`s looks like the charger is dead too. What`s wrong with my Mac?

Try resetting the SMC.
MacBook and MacBook Pro with a battery you can remove
Shut down the computer.
Disconnect the MagSafe power adapter from the computer, if it's connected.
Remove the battery.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Release the power button.
Reconnect the battery and MagSafe power adapter.
Press the power button to turn on the computer
To reset the SMC on newer Mac portables with a battery you cannot remove
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.

• HT201412 My iPod touch 4G won't charge. I charged it and when I took it off charge it was really hot but it showed it was fully charge then when I turn it on the battery was dead and know it won't charge. Please help thanks.

My iPod touch 4G will not charge. I charged it and when I got it off charge it was really hot but showed it was fully charge then when I turned it on again the battery was dead. Now it won't charge. Please help thanks!

Try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod
if still problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
I suspect you have a hardware problem.
