Dead (but not) iBook G4... Much Help Needed!

There I was, minding my own business, checking my Facebook page and reading a few emails when all of a sudden...
"You need to restart your computer. Hold the power button for a few seconds blah blah blah"...
So I do.
It restarts.
Same thing, but this time I hadn't even opened anything.
So I restart again.
This time, it doesn't even get to the log-in screen.
I try again and again and nothing.
I "safe boot" the iBook and I can log in and look around and grabbed the "panic.log" file, which means nothing to me.
Can't find my install disks, Apple want to charge me £70 (or more) for a new set... I'm getting a copy of Leopard soon anyway (friend, un-wanted upgrade disk etc), I'm going to run the Diagnostic thing as soon as I've burnt the dmg to CD using Windows (yes, it CAN be done!)...
In the mean time, can someone help decifer the log? What the **** is actually wrong with my iBook? it can't be a hardware problem because it boots up in "safe boot"... I removed any new programs I install that may have screwed it up... Totally lost now.

Ok... Tried it
Loaded up first time with AirPort off. I let it settle down, did a few simple things (Word, Preview, Spotlight). Did some complex stuff (Photoshop, Illustrator, Logic 7)... All fine.
Turned AirPort on: CRASHED
But then...

DIDN'T CRASH!
Checked the panic.log for the last crash and again, AirPort came up in that same part of the log.
Is it worth me taking this to my nearest dealer/reseller/service shop? Would they be able to do anything (cheaply-ish - as long as it costs a lot less than buying a new MacBook/2nd Hand iBook)? It seems to me like an inconsistent error but I don't want to get my hopes up, start using it, and then have it break on me all over again....!

Sorry, but Apple does not provide a downgrade path for iOS.
Because downgrading is unsupported by Apple we cannot discuss it on these forums, but you can use Google to find information on how to install an older version of iOS on any device.
Note that you will void the warranty and loose official support by Apple.

Do you really mean the Nikon D60 which shipped in 2008? Was it purchased secondhand?
The Nikon D60 was first supported in Adobe Camera Raw 4.4.
Photoshop CS4 ships with Camera Raw 5.0 so it can read D60 NEF files out of the box. No updates required.
If you do mean the D60 then something else must be going on. e.g. are you using Nikon software to transfer files from camera to computer?

With your phone plugged in, open Image Capture and see if the iPhone shows up. If not, you are having a sync problem. If it shows up in Image Capture, but not iTunes, I'd delete iTunes and reinstall it.

I understand you are having issues with sound output on your iPhone 4S. For troubleshooting steps, the following article provides the best information:

1. Verify that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack, including headsets, headphones, or adapters.
2. Make sure the Ring/Silent switch is not switched to silent.
3. While on the Home screen, adjust the volume buttons. If you see the icon below, indicating that headphones are attached, there may be debris or an object lodged in the headset jack:
4. Check the headset jack. If there is an object lodged in the headset jack that is not easily removed, have the iPhone serviced to remove object.
5. For Original iPhone: If there is light debris, such as lint, in the headset jack, try connecting a pair of headphones to the headset jack and then remove the headphones. Repeat this several times to remove the debris.
6. If you have installed a protective film on the display, either ensure that the receiver is not covered or remove the film completely.
7. Check the receiver mesh (which is on the top front of the device, above the display). If it appears blocked, use a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush to carefully and gently brush away any debris.

Recovery mode is Command & R keys after depressing and releasing the Power button for a normal startup.

What exactly happens when your try to boot to Recovery?
Try starting in Safe Mode resetting the SMC and NVRAM/PRAM

Hi Teacus, Sorry that didn't work. Sometimes something needs to be done prior to Uninstalling and Installing.
I know you use Vista. Is it a 64bit? Also post back that info and what browsers you use and the versions.
Let me know what Anti-Virus program you use and does it contain a Firewall? If not do you use any Firewall other than Windows?
Are you the Administrator and did you use the Administrator Account when Uninstalling/Installing?
Last but not least, go to this test site (use each browser to test) and can you see the animation? That will also tell you what version of Flash Player you have Installed.

This morning I boot-up and can't connect to the internet. My Mac says I'm connected to the internet and all the lights are flshing like normal on the AEBS and DSL modem but nothing. What I've done so far is recycle/restart the AEBS and DSL modem, did not help, and bypassed the AEBS alltogether. When I bypass the AEBS and connect with ethernet cable to my DSL modem everything works fine. I also unplugged the AEBS for an hour, Apple once told me to do this, but this did not help either. I am running 2 mac systems, airport express and a laptop off of this AEBS. Again everything was working at the end of day but not this morning. Thanks for any suggestions.

Filthy D, I found this post on a thread entitled "No Internet Connection Through PPPOE":
You need to configure the Base Station to handle the PPPoE connection. Connect the modem to the Base Station's WAN port (labelled with the "circle of dots" icon). Run the Airport Admin Utility, select your Base Station, click Configure, click the Internet tab. Select to "connect using PPP over ethernet", enter your account user name, and enter your account password. Click the box to "always stay connected". Update settings to the Base Station. Then pull power to both the modem and base station for five minutes. Then plug the modem into power and wait a minute, then plug the base station into power and wait a minute before trying internet access again.
If you ever cable the Mac to the Base Station's LAN port - go to System Preferences->Network->Show ethernet built in->PPPoE tab, and make sure you UNcheck the setting to "connect using PPPoE". Under the TCP/IP tab, make sure you have selected to "configure using DHCP". Henry B.
