Dead links in CC Exchange Panel; in CS6 extensions don't install

Extension mgr CC is installed; Exchange extension is enabled.  BUT, in PS CC, the exhange panel links are dead (the panel opens but doesn't seem live).  In PS CS6, the previous extensions are fine, but no new ones will install, though they seem to download.  The only error message I get in CS6 is that the installation failed and I should close Exchange and try again.  That doesn't help.  I get no error message in CC.
Does anyone have a suggestion?  I've posed a similar question elsewhere but received no answers thus far.
(Running Windows 7, 64-bit)

Hi Gail,
Sorry to hear you're still having problems. While CC product updates failing to install is not something we can personally help with, for problems with Adobe Exchange and Extension Manager I think that these forums are probably the most appropriate place to get help. Adobe Exchange is a relatively new service that is changing quickly, and engineers from the Adobe Exchange and Extension Manager teams check these forums on a daily basis. Lea and I are engineers working on Adobe Exchange (including the servers) so we may be able to work out what the problem is without you needing to call tech support.
Note that you can download the cleaner tool here:
http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
If you're struggling to install Extension Manager CS6 after having uninstalled it, can you check for the following folders and move them to your Recycle Bin them if they exist?
C:\Users\<username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CS6
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Extension Manager CS6
After then downloading and installing Extension Manager CS6 from the link Lea shared,
http://www.adobe.com/exchange/em_download/em6_download.html
...if you still get an error code, please let us know which code it is so that we can find out what it means.
By the way, you said that you don't want to "destroy" any CS6 software you can't replace - but if you do need to ever re-download/install CS6 products, you can always get CS6 versions from https://creative.adobe.com/products as a Creative Cloud member.
Hope this helps you to get a little further.
Best wishes,
Fraser

  • How to install Adobe Exchange Panel

All attempts to download the Adobe Exchange Panel end up with a Zip file with no executable file in it.
    Creative Suite 6 Production Premium
    Extension Manager CS6 6.0.8.28
    Illustrator CS6 16.0.3  64 Bit
    Photoshop CS6 13.0.1 64 Bit
The download for “Adobe Exchange Panel for CS6 Add-ons” from these links  https://www.adobeexchange.com/download# https://www.adobeexchange.com/panel download a Zip file without an executable file to install it.
The Extension manager is no help as it will install only .zxp or .mxp files.
This discussion https://forums.adobe.com/message/6397105#6397105 gives correct answers but all the links to an Adobe Exchange Panel download lead to a zip file.  The last entry in the discussion by fgregor May 22, 2014 2:32 AM (in response to Deepak_artist) gives a link that is suppose to be a .zxp file but it is also a Zip file.
Any help with this would be appreciated.

    Fraser
Thanks for your time in trying to help out with my problem.  I really appreciate it.
The link you sent me opens a download for a Zip file.
When I download it and open it I have this,
When I go through the Adobe Extension Manager and click on exchange and navigate to the download I still get a Zip file.

  • Adobe Exchange Panel Update not working?

    Hello:
My OS is Windows 7 64 bit and I have Ps and Ia installed on my laptop.
I downloaded and installed the Adobe Exchange roughly two months ago and everything worked great at first.
I installed a few things such as the Paper Textures and a game Level Up (can't recall the others at the moment).
The game worked three times but then it just stopped responding. I never had an issue with the other extensions.
Yesterday I went to try out the game again but when i opened the Exchange panel it said there was a new update and so i (sadly) opted to click 'Update'
After clicking the update button I received a message:
Also, Norton said the link or what have ya was NOT trusted and is Unknown. So, I clicked on the Norton message and got this info:
    Heuristic virus? um, what?
    http://www.pctools.com/security-news/heuristic-virus-definition/
I went ahead and Removed all the extensions I had downloaded/installed from the Exchange panel but I would very much like to be able to use them again.
Any ideas as to the issue? Is there a solution?
I have shut off Norton to see if that would work but I still get the above message  "... valid signature ... "
    Sure would appreciate some input.
    Thank you in advance
ps. could the Heuristic virus detection be a False Positive?

    Hello:
You are totally misunderstanding me. I have Windows 7 64 bit and I did have the Exchange Panel already installed. When I went to use the Exchange PanelIT had an update. I didNOT update to Windows 8.
I clicked on the UPDATE IN the Exchange Panel which is what would NOT install because NORTON said it IS MALWARE.
I tried to update the Exchange Panel and NOT my operating system.
The attempt to Update the Exchange Panel caused the older version of the Exchange Panel to not work. So, I had to Uninstall the Exchange Panel and then when I went to Reinstall the Exchange Panel it would NOT install. And now I cannot use it at all.
Again, I DO have Windows 7 and NOT Windows 8.
Please, I would very much like to be able to use the Exchange Panel again because I would like to install some extensions, let me know when this issue is resolved.
    Thank You,

  • Adobe exchange panel

I'm trying to download the adobe exchange panel for cs6 but when I click the download button I get a message that it can't be downloaded. I have adobe extension manager installed.

I just get a windows download message that asks if I want to save the download. I say yes and then click the download button and get an immediate reply that it cannot be downloaded. To answer your question, I don't know how to try and download the web version.

  • Help please. CS6 exchange panel will not load.

    Hi,
I have Photoshop CS6 extended and for some reason my adobe exchange panel will not load. This only happened earlier today.  I have been designing all week and never had a problem before this. I cannot load any of the panels in Photoshop.  I have done everything possible and trust me I worked on a solution for over 5.5 hours searching reading, uninstalling re installing etc and no solution. I just keep getting this error message "Cannot complete command because the extension could not be loaded".
The version of Extension Manager is 6.0.7.6. I came back to edit this as I should have mentioned that I did disable my anti virus.
I would really appreciate any advice please.
    Thank you in advance
    Rosa
I have since discovered that the problem was the software onOne Perfect Photo Suite 8  which I had installed earlier today - so have contacted onOne for support. I ended up un-installing the program and Photoshop has returned back to normal.

Obviously my problem was with the onOne new Suite 8 plugin. I had Suite 7.5 as well as PhotoFrame 4.6 Professional Edition and Photo Tools installed, so after trying a few different things my last option which worked was as onOne suggested and that was removing the onOne panel completely from CS6 and re installing Suite 8 ticking the 3rd option in the installation process - leaving PhotoFrame and Photo Tools installed.  I do have many panels in CS6 and to my delight after the installation of Suite 8, all the panels in my CS6 were operational and ready to go!
Obviously there was a clash with the Suite 7.5 and 8. Removing Suite 7 worked for me. Initially onOne advised not to uninstall the previous version and just tick the first option to keep both versions. Obviously there was a clash between the version panels.
    Hope this helps.

  • InDesign CS6 won't install/update Adobe Exchange panel

After installing and updating exchange manager 6.0.2.40 when I go to indesign exchange panel it says update is available, click that, it downloads and says update successful, restart indesign to take effect. When it installs it switches to extension manager and says update conflicts with other version install yes or no? Click yes, says succesfull and restart indesign, I restart indesign and same thing happens again and again.
Photoshop and illustrator (CS6) panels work just fine. It's indesign that doesnt work.
    Mac OS 10.7
Tried updating, reinstalling exchange manager, adobe application manager is 6.2.112.0,
tried several times on indesign and it just keeps going through the same update/restart loop.

    Hi SpooCobraVenom,
You can try to uninstall "exchange panel", and download and install it again from https://www.adobeexchange.com/api/AdobeExchange.zxp.

  • Why isn't the Adobe Exchange Panel opening in Flash Pro CS6?

It says it's installed but when I go to Window>Extensions>
and then there is nothing, no other menu to go from.

    Hi HunterOSx and Svagers,
How did you install the Adobe Exchange extension?
I would recommend downloading the latest updates for Extension Manager from here:
    http://www.adobe.com/exchange/em_download/
...and downloading the latest Adobe Exchange ZXP from www.adobeexchange.com (it was updated on Friday). Make sure that you open the ZXP with Adobe Exchange CS6 for it to be available in Flash Pro CS6. If you also have Extension Manager CS5 installed, it's possible that you've accidentally installed the panel into Flash Pro CS5.
Let me know how you get on.
    Best wishes,
    Fraser

  • Adobe exchange panel does not load in cc applications

I cannot launch the Adobe Exchange Panel in Photoshop or Illustrator.  The option to launch this extension is not available in my menu.  In Photoshop "Extensions is grayed out".  In Illustrator it is not grayed out but it is simply not populated.  I have tested this on my laptop and it works just fine there.
I have pasted the above paragraph from a separate thread in a different forum.  I was directed to this forum by an adobe staff member.
Thanks in advance for any help with this as the forums are the only support adobe provides for this issue.  I think the issue may be a corruption in my extension manager somewhere in the Windows Registry.  Using Windows 7 64-bit SP1

    Hi markerline,
Can I ask where you obtained Photoshop CC from? Were you part of any prerelease program?
Can you please check these folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEPServiceManager4\extensions
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CEPServiceManager4\extensions
and tell us if either one (or both) contains a folder called "AdobeExchange", and whether it contains anything.
It seems obvious, but please install any updates for Photoshop available in the Creative Cloud application. I believe there have been a few CC updates released so far - so it would be worthwhile restarting your computer to force a fresh check for updates to make sure you have them all.
Something to try would be downloading the Exchange Panel as a ZXP from here:
    https://www.adobeexchange.com/
and then installing the panel using Extension Manager CC. Note that Extension Manager CS6 will not install the Exchange Panel for CC applications - it needs to be Extension Manager CC.
Let us know how you get on.
    Thanks,
    Fraser

  • Adobe Exchange Panel for Photoshop CC 2014

I'm trying to get the Adobe Exchange Panel for Photoshop CC 2014 (Mac 10.10.2).
When searching for it on Adobe.com, all I get is the download for CS6. Is this the SAME Exchange Panel usable in CC 2014?
    Thanks for any guidance.

I'm having problems searching out any updates. It's like they silently retired it after CC.
This is the last mention of it:
Adobe Exchange Panel – 1.1 Update for CC apps now available
Since it's a flash panel, it wouldn't work in CC 2014 which has gone to HTML5 panels

If you can contact Jeffrey Tranberry, I'm sure he can better answer this.

  • Adobe Exchange Panel Extension does not install

As titled, after download the extension for CS6 and double click, the extension manager is opened.
But nothing is happed nor any notification or sign of installation.
And open PS, Illustrator, there is no "Adobe Exchange" in exchange menu.
Our system is Windows 8 64 Standard English with Chinese Traditional CS6 Master Collection.
If there is any clue would be appreciated.

Please update Extension Manager CS6 to the latest version 6.0.8 first. Click "Tools"->"Preferences" menu item in Extension Manager, check "Enable detailed logging" option. Restart Extension Manager. Try to install the Exchange Panel extension again. Wait for a while, quit Extension Manager. Send all log files under "C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CS6\Log" to [email protected]
Note that "C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData" folder is hidden by default. You have to check "Organize"->"Folder and search options"->"View"->"Show hidden files, folders, and drives".

  • Adobe Exchange panel doesn't appear in Dreamweaver CC

I've joined CC and I'm using Dreamweaver, I've also tried to download and install Adobe Exchange panel without success - I can see it in extension manager but the panel doesn't appear in Dreamweaver.  I'm beginning to regret ever signing up for CC as it appears to be very glitchy.  Could someone help me with this please.
    I'm running Windows 7
    Many thanks
    Maddie

    Hi Maddie,
Thank you for this extra information regarding the Exchange Panel not appearing. It's strange that the problem appears in both CC and CS6 - these use different processes and different installation directories for extensions and should be independent of each other.
    A few questions -
Can you please look in Task Manager when Photoshop CC is running and see if there is a process listed called "Adobe CEP Service Manager"? Do you have any "system optimisation" or security software running which may be blocking processes that you haven't expressly permitted?
In Photoshop CC, can you see any other extensions listed in Window -> Extensions? Upon installation there should be other Extensions available, for example "Kuler" - can you see this in the dropdown? This will help us to work out whether this is a problem with Adobe Exchange specifically, or if it is an issue with all extensions in general.
If you can then turn on logging as follows, that would be very helpful:
    In Registry Editor, regedit.exe:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Adobe>CSXS.4
Increase the LogLevel to 6. Then run Dreamweaver or Photoshop CC - Log files will be generated in: C:\Users\<username>\[AppData]\Local\Temp. If you are in Photoshop the log file will have the filename csxs4-PHSP.log, and for Dreamweaver it will be csxs4-DRWV.log. Please email these log files to me at fgregor at adobe dot com.
Upon searching the forums, there was another user who may have had the same problem as you (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1291469) - can you check whether C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEPServiceManager4 contains CEPServiceManager.exe?
Regarding the "glitchy" issues you mention - this forum is for Adobe Exchange, but if you can provide a bit more information about what is going wrong then we'll try to redirect your question to someone else who can help.
    Best regards,
    Fraser

  • Flash CC - Exchange Panel not available

I`m posting this in the Flash and not the Exchange forums, because the rest of my CC apps, don´t have this problem, only Flash has:
1.Installed AdobeExchange 1.2.0 with the newest Extension Manager (7.0.0.347)  on Win7x64
2.Exchange doesn`t show up under Extensions in Flash (but does so in illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver etc), even after reboot.
Anyone has a workaround for this problem?

Exchange Panel is currently not available for Flash CC as mentioned in link https://www.adobeexchange.com/ under the "View Application" dropdown.
You will need to install the extensions via Extension manager until the panel gets re-enabled in a later update to flash pro.
