I know ...another one...this one does nothing...tried all the solutions...diferent chargers,wall sockets ,plugin plug out...etc. getting real ticked off. (being extremely polite) anyone have a solution ?,other than seing if it makes a good frisbee?....been at this 3 days now...Thanks for your help !!

See if this works.
Quit the Safari app completely and reboot the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

If the iPhone has Activation Lock - that is, it's asking for the previous owner's Apple ID and password to activate the device - then you will need that information, or you'll need to get the previous owner to remove the device from his/her iCloud account:

Until that is done you will not be able to activate the device.

Yours is one of the moderate models and you will find links to all the drivers you need. My own take on this is you are going in the wrong direction. Instead of back to XP you should go forward to Windows 7, but XP can be made to work on that machine. Good luck and feel free to post back with any more questions.

I appear to have two display adapters enabled in Device manager
Intel (R) HD Graphics FAmily
NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M (latest drivers)
I have no idea if I need both enabled or how to identify which one is doing the "work" .... but because "Display Properties" seems to limit me to 1366 x 768 , I suspect it is the Intel driver?
I am hoping that I can use the NVIDIA at a decent resolution out to an external PC monitor ( HDMI or the other connector RGB?).
Advice on all this for a computer dummy please.
I have thought about just trying "disabling" each adapter in Device Manager but worried I will brick something!!!

Hello Shooter.......I too have an Asus laptop....the G750jw. It appears that the integrated Haswell supplied GPU is automatically used under light loads, and the NVidia GPU kicks in under any more serious load.....my "Speccy" report shows 3 separate "states" the GPU is in ,depending on the load....each state is a higher core clock and memory clock speed. As Bill Gehrke has pointed out.... to save battery life, the laptops default GPU memory clock speed is WAY underclocked....compared to similar desktop versions. I can verify there is MUCH headroom on my 765M card....without any strain I can increase the GPU memory clock speed to 3 Ghz, up from the initial default of 1Ghz.
I have been using MSI Afterburner to overclock the Nvidia GPU memory clock to gain measurably better performance in PPro....esp. when exporting timelines which are heavy in GPU accelerated effects. Do NOT be afraid to do this...the temps are staying low....well under 63 C with a heavy workload on it.

Hi,
Compatible processors for your notebook ( and the replacement procedure ) is detailed on Page 81 of your Maintenance & Service Guide.
Considering the speed of your current processor, it would look like the first Four are Ok - I would always recommend checking this with HP first before purchasing.

I see that you are having a start up problem with your computer. I have a couple of suggestions that may help with this issue.

Is the MBP properly grounded? Are you using the three prong plug? If not, do so and your problems may disappear. If not, do what SwankPeRFection suggests.

Can't open my note book. It says Selected boot image did not authenticate.

I dropped my note book on the floor, later when I turned it on it appears to give the message 'selected boot image did not authenticate. Press enter to continue' When I pressed enter the device shut downs. Please help with this problem.

your problem is due to Secure Boot it is a technology where the system firmware checks that the system boot loader is signed with a cryptographic key authorized by a database contained in the firmware in your case boot loader is damaged.
temporary solution:
go to bios and disable secure boot.
may this help
to use secure boot feature again you have to repair your boot loader.
