Dead touchscreen area in Calendar month view?

My iPhone has recently developed a dead touch area on the screen when displaying the Calendar view by month. It is always the second week down regardless of which month is being displayed. I can not access any of the days on that line when I touch the screen in that area. And the touch screen is fully functional in all other applications. Very strange.
I bought the phone new from Apple Online when they first came out. I have done several resets and a full restore but still no good.
Anybody else experiencing this?

Turns out an area of the touch screen developed a defect. Apple replaced the phone under warranty but I did have to rent a temp phone while my iPhone was being repaired/replaced.

  • Change calendar month view in iOS 6.

Can calendar month view be changed in iOS 6? I want my weekend to complete the weeks as I am able to do in iCal.

I have the same problem. What happened?!?!?
This is terrible and only occurred over last few days.
If you hit magnifying glass goes to search, if you hit the computer icon goes as far as split screen.
Tried to go under general to see if calendar view options but nothing....
This is horrendous for people that have more than two items in a day ( how about the ENTIRE world)!!!
    Please fix!!!

  • Appointment Time In Calendar Month View

Maybe I'm just missing it somewhere, but I cannot seem to find a way for the time of an appointment to show in the iPad Calendar month view.
In iCal on my mac, this is no problem. But sure would like to do it on the iPad.
Anyone know how to do that?
    Thanks,

nope. as you have no doubt figured out, you have to tap on the appointment. then you will see a little pop up with the time

  • Continuous scrolling not working in Calendar month view

Scrolling does not work in Calendar month view. I have toggled System Preferences >General > Show scroll bars to "Always on." Still nothing in Calendar month view.
BUT, wait! Now every other app (except Calendar month view) now has the scroll bar "Always on" even though I toggled back to "Automatically based on...", then restarted my computer. I don't want to see the scroll bars all the time but now I can't hide them anywhere. It seems "Always on" amd "Automatically based on..." now do the same thing. Serious bug.
    Any hints? Thanks

This is odd,  but the calendar scrolling in Month view is working on my machine.   It's been through various reboots - and I checked the disc (SSD) and permissions.
Seems to me that the calendar application is sensitive to the scrolling.
Also,  I've been suffering from Firefox vertical scrolling stopping.  The "fix" is to quit & restart Firefox.  However... this scroll-crashing behaviour goes away for a few days then comes back with a vengence.  Again,  I've a feeling that a full reboot seems to help things.
Yet another mouse-related problem I've been having is with VMWare.  These frequently interpret a single-click as a double-cliick or even triple-click.  Some chatter in the VMWare forums about this too.
All of this behaviour *never* ocurred prior to the Mavericks upgrade.

  • Calendar: Month view Needs Daily Items on Side

This is a "problem" on N8 and E7 and X6 (as far as I have noticed)
or probably all Symbian^3 phones....The Calendar month view simply shows a table of each month with dates sorted in columns of dayOfWeek.
This view takes up the full screen space.
I would like to request this view be similar to E72
    1. When user select a date in the month -> another part of the screen would display the agenda of that date.

I have the same think as I have upgraded my N97 to E7 couple weeks ago
the month view in S^3 Calendar is not forthright as that in S60 5th

  • Calendar Month View won't scroll up and down

This is a very minor, but strange issue with Calendar.
I can scroll up and down in Calendar month view on my MacBook Air, but on my Mac Pro, I can only switch months by clicking the" >" button or "Command+Left Arrow".
    Anyone know why?
    Thanks.

    I'm using Yosemite on both.
I did a little research and saw some comments that mentioned that vertical scrolling works with the trackpad, but not with mouse scroll wheels... so there's that. Doesn't make sense, but it's possible.

  • Calendar Month View, Scrolling

In Mavericks, calendar month view, trackpad scrolling works but mousewheel doesn't.  Any solution?

I had a similar problem.  I have a 27" iMac (Late 2012) and after installing Mavericks, I wasn't able to scroll using my Magic Mouse in Calendar, or any broswers--Safari, Chrome, and Firefox--even after setting my scrollbars to appear "always."  I also wasn't able to access Dashboard with a 2 finger swipe or Mission Control with a double tap.
I called Apple Care and told the advisor about the threads that suggested resetting the PRAM or SMC.  But he suggested that before we try that, I should restart my computer while keeping the "Reopen windows when logging back in" box unchecked.  It solved my problem instantly, and I haven't had trouble scrolling anywhere since!!

  • Calendar month view has wasted space between months, can I remove? iOS 7 iPhone

The calendar month view (both iPad and iPhone) has a gap between months eg: Jan 31 has two spaces & almost a whole line blank before Feb 1. I want the months to run sequential with no gaps. Any way of doing this?

    Use a different app.
Unfortunately, there is no way to change the formatting of the built in app. Your only option is to look for a different calendar app and see if it meets your needs

  • Do not show dots for 'free' events in the calendar month view

I wish I could.... not show dots for 'free' events in the calendar month view. For an overview of when I have hard-scheduled events in the calendar it's pretty tedious and slow to go day -by day, and other views... Instead the dot  in the month view... - why does it show even "free" events? Any ideas, tips?
    Thanks!

Unfortunately there is no option to disable the dots.

  • Curve 9320 Any browser that shows Google Calendar month view?

Has anyone found a browser that will show the Google Calendar month view on the Curve? Here, the default browser will show Google Calendar onl in a much inferior agenda view, with no way I can see to select any other view.
    Thanks.

Thanks for the response. I do have data defined. However, type is not. The specs don't seem to make it necessary to specify both, but if that helps I can. The webconsole shows one error:
Use of getPreventDefault() is deprecated. Use defaultPrevented instead. That is an error in the jquery javascript code though.
Firebug doesn't show anything in its console.
I used iframe and the behavior is exactly sthe same. I'm beginning to think this is a google calendaring issue instead.
    Thanks again.

  • Why don't times show in Calendar month view?

I have 2 MBPs and 2 iPhones (Mavericks 10.9.1; all with current updates). With MBP # 2, Month view of Calendar doesn't show times of events. If I click on any event, the info box shows the correct times. The other 3 devices show times correctly. Restarting the MBP doesn't change anything. All 4 devices are synced with the same iCloud account. How can I get the times to show in Month view? In System Preferences>iCloud, Calendar is checked.

    Hi,
When you adjust the window size in Calendar if you can make it small enoughy you can hide the event times in Month view. It is not that is it? Have you tried making the Calendar window full screen?
    Best wishes

  • Palm Desktop crashes on calendar 'month' view

I am running Desktop by ACCESS 6.2.2 on WinXP with AT&T Centro.  There are random months in my desktop calendar that cause the desktop to crash when I select the 'Month' view (June '08, April '07, Nov '08).  I can't find any common trend unique to these months, the 'day' and 'week' views work fine for these months.  I have searched this forum and found a couple similar symptoms but no real solutions.  I have uninstalled/re-installed Desktop, but no change.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks, Paul.

I've been having the same problem with Palm Desktop 6.2.2 on XP with my Centro.  So I split up all the events that spanned midnight, as HardBeatZ suggested, and if fixed three of the six months that crashed.  I've also run dbfixit, as he suggested in another thread, which found no corrupted records.  Any other suggestions?  I saw in that other thread (http://forums.palm.com/palm/board/message?board.id=software&message.id=27310&query.id=29789) the idea of trashing the months and re-entering events, but that seemed to be a different problem with Vista.
I see the suggestion here by patkosanke to revert to 4.1.4, which is what I previously had for my Tungsten E.  What about all the warnings with my Centro that I had to install the included 6.2.2?  Are those warnings not true for XP?  And what about the change from dat to mdb files, if I were to revert?  Reverting seems to postpone the inevitable transition to Vista, though.
Also, it seemed to me that 6.2.2 had more fields for phone numbers, for which I reformatted bunches of my contacts -- previously I had doubled up on some, but that doesn't allow them to be dialed.  Is that a change from 4.1, in which case reverting might kill those fields, or is that possibly a change from my even earlier IIIx?
    Thanks,
    John S.

Ok if you remove your data from palm desktop does it still crash in the month view, also what months are crashing, I could possibly do a little research and tell you what days are causing the problem.

  • Calendar Month view not working following OS 2.1.0.1032 update

Is anyone experiencing problems with accessing the Month View on their Calendar following updating to OS 2.1.0.1032?
For me it appears to have stopped working and I now get a blank screen.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I had the same problem and what I did is: go into the calendar settings and make the default view - month and I picked agenda settings. go back and close the calendar and re-open it and it opened in month view. I can select week or day view from there if I want. Hope it works for you.
Smile, it makes people wonder what you are up to.

  • Change Calendar month view from six weeks to four weeks

Hi - this may not be be possible, but I thought I'd ask the community.
I prefer working with the Calendar in month view. Mavericks always dispays six weeks in month view, while Mountian Lion would display four, five, or six weeks, depending on the month. On my Macbook Pro 13", the new six week view creates days that are too small to work with.
Is there any hidden preference that could make it display just four weeks at a time, rather than six?
    Thanks.
    Steve

Thanks for the wild and crazy ideas.
I did remove any events that span midnight and it did not help.
I looked at the DbFixit program. Since it corrects problems in the Palm and not in Palm Desktop I believe it is not relevant. The reason I belive the palm device is not involved is because of the following test:
I removed all previous Palm Desktop versions
I removed all registery entries for both Palm, PalmOne, and the USB (as specified by a chat session with Palm)
    I removed all data directories including \Program Files\PalmOne, \Program Files\Palm, and \Palm
I removed all instances of data in the Documents directory
I did a cold boot of the computer
    then...
I did a fresh install of Palm Desktop
I typed in a year's worth of data
I did not sync or otherwise connect a palm to the system
    I selected month view
    The system crashed!
I believe this takes the Palm device completely out of the loop. This problem occurs when typing data in Palm Desktop from the keyboard.
I appreciate any ideas, and will follow up on them.
    Thanks again
    Jack Cornelius
Since no Palm was involved, the corruption must have occured in the Palm Desktop program itself.

  • Firefox does not load embedded google calendar month view (2014)

Recently (first complaint today), all of our embedded google calendars on our site stopped loading in Firefox browsers. Specifically, it is the month view. The calendar actually loads and the contents can be seen on agenda and week views. However, Month view remains empty (A google calendar framework appears complete with the tools that might normally be there[month selection, print, view tabs] but the expected calendar is not there, so it is quite short).
We have 3 online google calendars that are injected with the <object data> call. All three work in Chrome and Safari as they are designed to work. This is only effecting Firefox (have not tested IE). I reset firefox, and started it in safe mode. I also downloaded and ran Firefox 33,32,30,28, and 15. It effects them all.
So far I have only tested this on a Mac with Firefox, Safari, and Chrome
Let me know if you have any suggestions or if there is more information you may need.
    thanks
