I wouldnt recommend this phone to anyone else. Its terrible.

  • Xperia z2 dead , red light blinking when connected to usb charging cable

My phone is totally dead, i cant do anything power button + volume up button , force restart button near the sim , and nothing happens , also when i connect to a usb charger the red light is blinking all the time . Please HELP ME i need my xperia z2 back to live....

    Hi,
For how long time have the phone been connected to the charger? If the LED is blinking red, it sounds like the battery is completely flat. Thereby it can take a longer time before the phone indicates charging and/or powers on. I suggest that you connect the phone to the charger via wall socket and let it charge for 1-2 hours.

  • Dead Pixel on my Sony Xperia Z1

    Hi Concern,
Complain here against Sony Mobile Malaysia.
I live in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, and my biggest mistake is i bought Sony mobile for the first time ever.
I got the dead pixel on my mobile for 2nd time, even after replace one to one for 2nd time.
one month ago i bought sony z1 and saw 2 deadpixel on screen, went to sony service center(KLCC,kualalumpur),the regret to help me then said me to go to lowyat plaza same sony shop where i bought the phone, its was sony othourised shop, they also said go to sevice center for assistance,
i feel like im a pingpong ball and people are sending me here and there, and no one is helping me for my new phone issue, they dont want to replace the phone, any way 20 calls made to call center on helpine of sony, then Miss.Jess (manager) ensure some one call me or help me but no one help me again,
then i went to another service center infront of timesquare (Ixsun Sdn.Bhd. Lot 1.07 Podium Block,. 1st Floor Plaza Berjaya,. 12 Jalan Imbi,. 55100 Kuala Lumpur),
This time one lady who helped me to replace my mobile in 7 working days,i got the new z1 atlast,
i was happy and i thought issue is now resolved.
just after replacing to new z1 now again got dead pixel on left below of screen,
This time im now super pissed off by SONY MALAYSIA.
i dont understand what is my mistake, to switch from samsung to sony for its better camera and waterproof thingy,
but now i realise that it was my biggest mistake of swiching to SONY.
any ways this time i wont keep quiet and will escalte this issue,on all social fourms and media.
I have all the recipt and proofs, but one from sony didnt contact me yet.

Please see my all trailing emails with Sony.

  • Xperia Z1 suddenly dead. Nothing works

Hello, I had my Xperia Z1 charging all night. This morning, I noticed that it was suddenly off. And can't turn it on.  Nothing seems to work. Not the charging light even. The phone is totally dead. The computer doesn't recognize it.  What can I do? I'm desesperate because I need to back up the photos and videos of the birth of my first child (I've just arrived home from the hospital yesterday). All of them are inside the Xperia.  Thanks

Hi, I hope you can help me as I have a problem with my Z1 since Christmas day. My phone suddenly died when I put it into sleep or locked it. Before it happens, I was charging using the charging dock. I pulled it out of the charging dock and the battery was around 40%. I used the camera, turned off the WiFi. Everything is normal. Then I locked it and laid it on my bed. After a couple of minutes when I was about to use it, it's no longer turning on. I tried charging it again but to no avail, no notification light indicating that it's charging (both USB cable and charging dock), tried the power button + volume up still the same. Hard reset via the red button beside the SIM tray but still the same. Tried connecting it to the PC to see if the PCC or SUS will recognize it but to no avail. I bought the unit from a grey market (OL shop) so there is no official Sony warranty. They only offer 3-day replacement for manufacturer defect and 1-year service warranty. I bought it last Oct. 31. The seller doesn't agree with the replacement for the unit since way beyond the 3-day replacement period. At the same time he said that the service warranty is voided as I updated my OS to 4.3 (as per their receipt, any OS modification will void the service warranty). So I went to the referred service shop to have my phone check but to no avail, they cannot check it as they still experience the same problem. I went to an Xperia store and the lady I talked to advised me to go to the main Sony service centre in which she provided me the map. So I went there and my phone stayed overnight on the said service centre for checking. The next day as per the diagnosis of the technician it's is beyond repairbale via software or something like that. Their laptops or PCs can't still detect my phone. They said it might need a replacement of the motherboard. So a couple of days later, yesterday, we went back to the OL store to try to demand for a replacement again but they just advised us to seek again for a second opinion on the same technician he referred the first time. So we went there and stated the problem. He said that the battery might be super drained that's why even if I charge overnight it won't turn on or get charged. He also mentioned that I might have experienced a dead or death booth as something might have happened with the system or software of the phone. By the way, few hours after the phone suddenly died on the 25th the phone became warm or hot. He mentioned that it might be because there were apps were running that time when it still has battery. Do you have any idea if this is a case of a dead or death booth? I serioulsy hope it has nothing to do with the motherboard.

  • Xperia Z3 Completely Dead

my xperia z3 less than 6 months old was dropped from about 50 cm onto the floor of my house and now is dead? tried everything from charging for 24 hours to the volume up and power and pc companion and even the reset button under the micro sd card flap the phone shows no sign of life, no vibrations, no led flash, nothing!  it was working in perfect order before the drop.  i have also tried multiple chargers and cables, no luck! is there anything else i could try

There's only one thing I can think of to suggest for you to try. Remove both, the SIM and SD cards > connect the phone to a wall charger > press and hold power & volume up for 15 seconds > let it charge for 2 to 3 hours. I doubt this will work, perhaps something got damaged and/or disconnected from that drop.

  • Xperia m2 dead

hi there i have a xperia m2 on ee,i updated the os about a week ago then 3 days ago it started switching on or off, blocking my data and phone services and displaying variuos apps have stopped then finally xperia dashboard has stopped, reset the phone back to normal then it started all over again but during all this the rear case of the phone was getting hot while on charge but now it wont charge or switch on and is not recognised by my pc, ive tried to do a simulated battery disconnect power button vol down and nothing happens could it possibly be the battery packed in, i hope to god it is because ive got so much stuff on the phone and im disabled so rely on the **bleep** thing!!!! please somebody help me

I suggest that you try to repair the phone software using PC Companion..

  • Xperia Z1 Suddenly dead nothing works ,not even usb

My Xperia Z1 has been turned off by its self and it dosent turn on . I tried everything to on it but it didnt. I have tried to plug it with computer but it still not working. All i can see is some time when i plug in the usb into the computer then suddenly some red light comes out from the top of the phone and disappeares.... What should i do? I just bought the phone 2 days ago ....

Does it vibrate 3 times if you press and hold Power & volume up for more than 10 seconds?
if it does then do so and let it charge for many hours; if it doesn't then you will have to take it to a Sony repair center

  • My NEW XPERIA Z2 Tablet is DEAD OUT OF THE BOX.

Bough at the airport (Sony Store) in Singapore and left the country.  Never even been able to turn it on (bought it yesterday).  It has only shown a charging light once for a few hours, but then when I tried to turn it on the light went off and the tablet didn't even attempt to start.  It seems the product was faulty from the factory.  Will Sony do something for me in this situation?

  • Xperia Live with Walkman on Android 4.0.4 (with screenies)

My Thoughts on Android 4.0.4 on Xperia Live with Walkman
    -Sleeker Font Style.
-Camera Shortcut right from the Lock Screen.
-Able to access the drop down notification bar even when locked.
-Music Player access right from the lock screen
    -New Owner Info Option display
-Face Unlock works great on Live with walkman.
-Awesome new themes. Xperia NXT Style! Although they are only wallpapers, not the live ones seen on 2012 devices. My favorite is Tourquoise (Did I spell that right?)
-The Performance Assistant will help you disable some of the apps that you dont need.
-There it is! Official Android 4.0.4. Ice Cream Sandwich. OH YEAHHHH!!!
-If you repeatedly tap on the Android Version Menu. This little Primitive Droid will surprise you. HEHE!!
-Oh, and there's also a new logo when you start up your phone : SONY ONLY not Sony Ericsson, and in its ever-so-recognizable font style. =P
-The Sony Ericsson Liquid Logo has also been changed to Walkman, with a bubbly and quirky animation.
-Ill try to post screenies if I can.
-Greatly Improved Android Browser. Seriously, It's WAAAAYYY smoother than the one in GB.
-The Browser runs smoother than GB.
-Websites with heavy flash content load smoothly. =D
-Saved Pages Option to view pages offline.
    - Only Android provides true multitasking capabilities.
    - Hold the Home Button and you will be taken to this new recent/running apps tab. Swipe to the right and that app is closed. =D!!!
    -Widget Preview.
    - A NEW Gallery aside from the Xperia Gallery. The new gallery provides edit options. Like Picsart or Instagram or Adobe Photoshop Express. So, if you want to save some precious memory, stick with the gallery editing options =D
-HD playback still smooth as ever. I don't know what the fuss is all about. =P
-Images look fine as they did in gingebread. It really depends on shooting situations.
-Captured 720p HD Videos doesn't lag for me. Play back is smooth. Same as in gingerbread.
-Maybe, People are just not used to the new interface, but with a little bit of tinkering, you should get used to it in no time. =P
-The New Camera Interface. It now includes a dedicated on screen camera button.
-Captured Photos Quality are the same as in Gingerbread.
-Captured 720p HD Videos run as smooth as in Gingerbread.
    - The New YouTube App interface.
    - The Lockscreen Music Player
    - There was a review about not seeing the clock due to the music player. Duhhh, you can see it at the upper right corner. =P
    - I love how the album art and the album name also appears. If you are like me who converts songs from youtube to mp3. A little app called Tune Wiki can help you edit its tags so you can enable infinity view. =D
-The New Dial Pad, which provides Smart Dialing.
-About the lagginess issue. It takes about 2-3 seconds to start. It depends on how many entries you have in your call log.
-There's a workaround on it though, access it through Contacts.
    - RAM usage feels the same for me. Good Job on this one Sony. =D
    - I was really worried about RAM ever since I read Sony's article about GB and ICS. They did well on optimizing this one.
    - My screenshot is not the best there is since I was syncing Facebook inside Xperia. But, normally it has about 180mb used and 160mb free.
    - New APPS installed. Some apps like Wisepilot for Xperia can now be moved to SD card, thereby freeing more phone memory.
    - My New Homescreen. It retains the very convenient four corner bubbles.
    - 5 Widget Panes
    - A New Google Search Widget
    - Walkman Player. I was expecting the music player from the NXT series. Hehe, but I guess this will have to do. =D
    - I've never seen the refresh music library option even in the GB walkman player. Through experience, everytime I add a music file it gets added in real time. No refresh required...
    - Oh, and also... I think the speaker is a tad bit louder than before. Like 20% louder. I noted no distortions
    - The orange lights work as usual.
    - Still no customizable equalizer. This is a walkman phone. It has to have superb music customization capabilities. =P
    - Battery usage for me remains the same like in GB.
-Monster Use/Heavy Gaming : 4 hours (HD games cracked for HVGA screens i.e. Asphalt 6 Adrenaline, Need for Speed, Shadowgun, Dead Space)  Although I doubt you could play that long due to the screen size and the cramps you may get from playing. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome anyone? Haha.
    -Internet Browsing : 6-8 hours
-Video Playback using Stock Player and YouTube App : 6-8 hours
-Video Playback using MX player : 4-6 hours (I use it for my .avi files)
    - I use Easy Battery Saver to Optimize battery performance.
In Super Mode it can last up to 24-36 hours with only texts and calls which I think is pretty impressive. I can go on 16 hour hospital shifts without worying about charging my phone.
In Normal Mode it can last 8-10 hours.
-It really depends on how you use your phone. I strongly believe it greatly varies with every user.
    - Don't believe posts that say it doesn't run as smooth as GB. IT RUNS AS SMOOTH AS GINGERBREAD. EVEN BETTER. =P
    - Sleeker new user interface.
    - All of my apps and games still run smoothly on ICS. I'll keep searching for bugs.
    - The ROBOTO font is awesome.
    - I find the interface more intuitive and streamlined than GB.
    - Lots of new features implemented. i.e. Smart Dialing, Face Unlock, Performance Assistant
    - Icons have been remodeled.
    - I also love how fluid it is now when it switches screen orientation. =D!!
    - No bugs for me whatsoever.
    - I miss the quirkiness of the GB user interface. Like the transparency of the messaging app. But I guess, I have to move on, change is for the better.
    - A SOLID AND STABLE UPGRADE. NOW MY XPERIA LIVE IS COMPLETE.
    Problems:
-Yes, the LED SMS notification doesn't work. But all other LEDs work. i.e. Yahoo Messenger, Incoming Calls, Twitter. I guess they may have overlooked this one. It's the only problem that I see. I find it livable still. Greater good for the greater number of people =P
-THANKS TO SONY!!! A huge step on the right direction.
    -KIMOZAVE - NOOBIE SMARTPHONE USER

hi kimozave, ur review seems to be full of praises for ICS, but I have gone through many threads on disadvantages of ICS, so very much confused if I should go with ICS update or not....
can you plz tell how was is experience on:
    1. Dial pad - I have read its laggy.
    2. The phone is having a hard time authenticating wifi connection when using WPA encryption.
    3. Thumbnails in the gallery does not match the original picture.
    4. Phone dies at 10% battery remaining.
    5. SIM card keeps ejecting
    6. Camera is more laggy and image quality is poorer
    Thanks,
