Deadline Message in the workitem

Dear Friends,
I want to change the message which comes in the workitem when the deadline is missed.
This message move from one end to another end automatically and display only when you single click on the worktitem,
" The following deadline was missed Latest end"
Can we change it. Please suggest.
Thanks & Regards,
Manoj

hi Manoj,
To change the text Deadline Message in the work item, simply
1.) go the activity in your work flow where the Latest end tab is given
2.) Click on the ""Text sent when latest end reached - click here to go to task... """
3.) It will move you to the task.Copy the task name from here.
4.)Now go to PFTC to make changes in the task.
5.) give your task name here
6.) click on change button
7.) Now you can change your Work item text here and the description of deadline message in DESCRIPTON.
Hope it will help you.
Thank you.

  • Replace the workitem automatically

Scenario: A workitem is sent a group of users. One of the users open the workitem just to view it and keeps it in his inbox. But, since he opened the item, the workitem is reserved automatically for him and disappears from other's inbox.
Question: Is there a way to automatically replace the workitem, after a specific period of time (may be a day or two), so that it starts appearing for others? This way, atleast others will be able to process the workitem, if in case the 1st person forgets to process the workitem.
    Thanks,
    Juwin

    Hi, Juwin
I suppose there are 3 possible solutions (not exactly corresponding to your requirement but in a way similar)
    - SBWP views ( http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/8d/25f57f454311d189430000e829fbbd/content.htm?frameset=/en/8d/25f58c454311d189430000e829fbbd/frameset.htm&current_toc=/en/a5/172437130e0d09e10000009b38f839/plain.htm&node_id=57&show_children=false )
    - deadline monitoring ( if the workitem is not processed in due time, workflow notifies some user in charge and thus workitem is not 'forgotten'; other actions beyond simple notification possible, see 'modelled deadlines')
    - Note 1676067 - Automatic replacement of work items. (I haven't tried this, but you can see this note recommended here and there in SCN discussions of similar requirements)

  • Error message when no atachment found for the workitem while approving ?

    Hi Folks,
I need some help in this issue please.
Requirement is, Agent needs to attach a document to work item and then approve. To achieve this, i have put code in for complete execute condition of the step.
This is how it works, when agent attaches doccument and approves, it completes workitem and when there is no attachment, it does not complete work item but it does not stop agent by throwing anykind of error message.
I need a error message when there is no atachment found for the workitem and agent tries to approve it. Please suggest how i can get this done ?
    Thanks a lot in advance..
    Prasu

    Hi
There a couple of different ways to accomplish this.
If your not using standard task/methods your able to extend your method. In here just check if a document is attached, display a message with the message statement, or a FM (e.g. TH_POPUP_TO_INFORM), and then call the workflow statement "<b>Exit_Cancelled</b>", by doing this the workitem will stay in the inbox, in status in process until the document is attached.
If your using standard task / Methods, you need to check if a document is attached in the workflow logic, preferably in a condition. Now - if no document has been attached create a loop, and within this loop create a task, for displaying the message. A easy solution here could be a simple decision task with only one Decision, or if you are able to do some ABAP development, create a small method for displaying the message.
In order to make sure that this task/message will popup immediately, create a container element e.g. "Last_Agent", the do a binding from the decision task to the workflow container ActualAgent -> Last_Agent.  Now you Last_Agent as the agent for you "Display Message" Task

  • How to forward the workitem to next level on Missed Deadline?

I have enabled Latest End Deadline on a particular task. The requirement is to forward the workitem to the next level approver once the dead line is missed.
I have tried to use Workflow Wizard Modeled deadline monitoring. It creates few additional steps but it just sets the workflow to obselete. I need to forward the workitem to next level. What needs to be done after the above step so that the work item is sent to the next level.

    Hi Workflow learner,
I am also learning workflows and I have been asked to create a workflow deadline which will escalate the workitem to the next level approver once the deadline is missed.
I too created a deadline using the workflow wizard. Next I created a step in the obsolete outcome identical to the main step.
In this step do I user the rule 168? And how does the workflow look for the superior of the manger who has missed the deadline and not the workflow initiator.
    Thanks

  • Deadline message being populated

    Hello Everyone,
I have a strange situation in my hand. A workflow was triggerred and a deadline was set for 5 days.
The workflow was completed well within the stipulated time i.e within 3 days. The status of the workflow is Completed.
But after 5 days when the workitem was created, I get a deadline message saying that the workitem has been removed from the list as the deadline is reached. This should have not come because I have completed the task within 5 days of the deadline.
This particular mail which was sent out is not being registered in "sost" also.
Can you kindly explain me this situation.
    Thank you,

    Hi
    Thanks for your reply.
We are getting "No workitem found" status in BBP_PD transaction. But all approval process is happening perfectly and when we check status through "Status Monitor " through web it is updating correct status.
Status is updating in BBP_PD .Status of main workflow is displaying correctly and approval levels and corresponding approver names are displaying correctly, but only the status and time of approval is missing.
can you suggest something on this issue.

  • How to get the workitem

    hi ,
im using the task to trigger work item to a person and scheduled a deadline. but suddenly my connection to the server has lost.
again i have opened my inbox i could not be able to have the workitem in my inbox.
but the deadline is already triggered to another person regarding this work item.

    Raghu

You can check which are the workflow you have started from
SBWP->OUTBOX ->Started Workflows. There you will get the workflow and check this from the Workflow log by hitting the Wflow Log button.

  • You have too many sessions open. Please close one and execute the workitem.

    Hi all,
    I am new to Portal.
we have a SAP Inbox Iview that works fine, but the problem is when the user try to execute Purchase Requicition Approval, the error "You have too many sessions open. Please close one and execute the workitem." appears. What really bothers me is that the error appears as IE error message but the detail of the error looks like SAP.
    Your help will be appreciated.

Most started out with 200-250 limits and now are at 1,000 or more in less than a year.Well, as noted, store cards can be a building tool and as I understand it you have been in that process for about a year and congrats on your progress. That said, I would not be applying for any additional store cards if there is not a specific need for it. This is not the type of credit you want in your profile in the long run. With regard to closing them: I don't know how this will affect your UTIL as I am not aware of your other cards limits however there are many people that have closed these types of cards when they determined there was no use for them, they were not needed any more, they were not the type/quality of cards they wanted to have in the long run, and lastly the history of that card would remain on their report for 10 years. Some bare bones info and the affects of closing cards: http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Closing-Credit-Cards/td-p/347190 All that said, while the above lists the math of it all, if you will, it does not speak to the aspect of quality. As you continue to grow, how do you want your profile to look to lenders? Do you want to have 10 low quality store cards won by the credit card trick with limits in the 1k range that you may never use and can't really use substantially anyway as your UTIL would go through the roof very quickly with a 1k limit or do you want a lower number of high quality cards with healthy limits that will continue to grow overtime if you show them the respect they deserve?

  • How to forward the workitem

    Hi All,
I have a requirement wherein we need to send the work item to next high level manager if the person who received the workitem did not respond for 2 days. Also need to make the workitem obsolete for the current user.
Can anyone let me know the proceudre to do this.

    Hi Neeraja
Yr Requirement can be solve by using  Deadline monitoring and Process control.
    For deadlind monitoring  refer
    http://****************/Tutorials/Workflow/DeadlineMonitoring/DM1.htm
here u have set 2 days deadline . same as in the link u hav to go that Workitem sending  Task in that  to tab u2018Latest Endu2019
put u2018Work item creationu2019 in time 2 days.  Action : Modeled , Out come  : any textu201D Deadline monitoringu201D. Then save the task. When u come out in the Workflow template there in the path where the text u2018Deadline monitoring u2019 is written  add a
Process control step . there inside that step in u2018function u2019 put : set workitem to Obsolute.
And in u2018workflow stepu2019 : give the no of that step which u want to make obsolute if the dead line is reached. Save it .
Then  in the path with  text u2018process absoluteu2019  create the same task to sent the Workitem but put the agent as next high level manager.
I think this will solve yr problem. I hav implement it in my Workflow. The requirement was same.
    thanks

  • [SOLVED] systemd: no kernel messages in the journal

    Hi
Currently the journal holds only application logs; I do not see any kernel logs in the journal. This is an old Arch system that was using syslog-ng but was transitioned to systemd when Arch made systemd default. This was working well until about three weeks back, when journal stopped holding kernel messages. The journal was causing journalctl to crash and I couldn't verify the journal since I had FSS setup but forgotten the keys. So, I had disabled the FSS, cleared the journals to startover again. Only to see kernel messages are not getting logged.
I would be grrateful for any help in resolving the issue. Thank you!

    Hi James,
First of all, i would like to know whether you can see the workitem in SAP Business workplace (GUI) ?
If yes, then you would find one of my article which would make an interesting reading and would help you in your query.

    Hi Everybody,
What is the Deadline messages in workflow. Thanks in advance.

they are notification sent when actions are not taken within a period of time . We can have simple notifications ( say for employee ) or can have a complete modelled deadline monitoring where you can perform actions like sending multiple notifications to employee, manager etc . You can find more info under sap help

  • Replicating the workitem to another user

    Hi All,
I need to make a copy of the existing workitem and forward to another user. In my workflow, a user decision is displayed which consists of 5 different tabs. On Clicking one of the tab, workflow initiater needs to select user from displayed pop up. On Clicking the Username, it should forward the workitem and as well keep the workitem in inbox.
I used FM: SWW_WI_FORWARD in my business object.
    with following parameters:
    1. WI_ID = Current Workitem id imported from Task
    2. NEW_AGENTS:
    OTYPE | OBJID
    US | User selected
    US | SY-UNAME
    Then following message is occured:
Status change from READY to COMMITTED is not allowed/possible
But If i execute through se37 it is perfectly working.
or if i set breakpoint in the funtional module and click on forward in business workplace also it is working.
Do I need to change the method attributes?
    Please help me with this..
    Thanks in advance

you can use a LOOP step to send your WI.
include your WI step inside the LOOP step. Make sure to exit from the LOOP based on some condition depending on your requirement.
store your agent name as a record in an internal table. so initially the internal table will have only one record.
then your WI must be having 5 different outcomes based on the 5 buttons in it.
when the user clicks on the button to forward the WI, he will enter the user id of the new user. store this id in a WF container.
then in the appropriate outcome of your WI, add a container operation which will append the new user id to your agents list internal table.
the control will loop back and a new WI will be sent to both the users.
P.S. - the solution might not be ideal for your case. you will need to first understand the business requirement in more detail. also, you need to find out the process that needs to be followed for each outcome.

  • Deletion of Deadline Messages

    Hi All,
Please explain how to delete a large no of deadline messages from SAP Inbox.
    Regards,
    Neha Jindal

    Hi Neha ,
If there are that many open deadline messages then you need to make sure they are complete or cancelled. Use transaction SWIA to select the deadline messages (Type D) and use the menu Edit -> Work item -> Logically delete. Make sure note 1286336, 1399658 and 1396805 are in your system.
Please be extremely careful when doing this and make sure to select the correct work items (Type D work items).
    Regards,
    Eddie
