Deadline Notifications - Change Smartform output to simple text

Hi Gurus,
SRM 7.0. Deadline notifications are configured for Process Controlled WF and are being generated. However these are generated as Smartform output and when forwarded to Outlook/Lotus Notes email accounts, they come through as a bunch of special characters. Is there any way to generate the notifications as simple text?
Thanks,
RM.

Vipin,
What encoding settings are you referring to?
I assume you are referring to the  BAdI - BBP_OUTPUT_CHANGE_SF. I did implement it for changing mail/notification subject. Even that change is not coming through. And I am not  sure which parameter can be set to change the output format.
I have no issues with the offline approval mail.
Thanks,
RM.
Resolved on my own by debugging. cs_parameters-mail_format should be set to blank (BAdI implementation - BBP_OUTPUT_CHANGE_SF).

    check out the smart styles...create a font of ur size n use.
    Define the paragraphs & character formats using SMARTSTYLES & use them in your smartform.
    You have to give the smartstyle name in the Form attributes-->Output options for the formats to be used in your smartform.
    You can define font size in Smartform Style.
    Smartform Styles > Charcterformat> Font --> size.
    to load the font to SAP server chk this

  • How to change the font size of text element in smartform

    Hi
    i want to know how to change the font size of text element in smartform
    regards
    Gincy

    Hi
    You can create Smartstyles, in which you can define paragraph formats for texts and character formats for character level changes.
    Paragraph format ---> alignment, font size etc
    character format for ---> superscript, subscript.
    After creating, in your smartform, there will be a option in the text element to enter a style.
    You give the created style and you can use the paragraph and character formats i that style.
    Hope this is clear..

  • Text and table structure getting jumbled up in the smartform output

    Hi all ,
    While viewing the print preview of a smartform output , i am facing  a strange issue.
    The hardcoded text is getting jumbled up .For eg:"As soon as possible"  becomes " as possible . soon as"
    The structure of the table is also getting reversed.That is the table is now getting displayed with the last couloum first.The data in the table is also coming in the reverse order.
    While executing the smartform directly , the layout is coming in the proper order.But while executing this through a transaction (FINT) , this issue is coming up.The print program is a standard program.
    I have tried deleting the window , copying it to a new smartform etc.I have also tried in different systems to check whether if it is an issue with the system.
    If anyone has faced a similar issue , please let me know how to solve it.Thanks a lot in advance.
    Regards,
    Rashmi

    Hi
    Please check the Printout rather the print Preview. and also check the Structure/table entries also that u printing and also if u r using template, then check the assignment 1 of 1 , etc to the texts.

  • Simple Text Changes Won't Upload to Server?

    I have created a simple HTML e-mail signature in Photoshop, slicing and inputed all information in the "Slice Option" dialogue box, including the URL link for each social media platform button. I imported it into Dreamweaver, uploaded the files to my server and it works perfectly! Here is the issue I am having: I needed to make a simple link change to one of the buttons. I tried changing the link in Dreamweaver. Did not work! I tried changing the link in Photoshop, making the edit in the slice and re-saving the file and uploading to the server via Dreamweaver. Did not work. I eventually had to redo all the slices, renaming them something different; input to Dreamweaver under a different file name, do what i had to do, and then upload to my server. Everything worked perfect! Why? Why can't I just make a simple text change in Dreamweaver, uploaded it, and it works?! I feel like it is a cache issue, but i have no idea.
    Anybody have a solution?

  • Email Delivery Option - Simple TEXT Output is coming as an attachment

    Hi All,
    I am trying to use R12.1.3 feature "Delivery Option" while Submitting Concurrent Program "Payables Open Interface Import" using FND_SUBMIT with email Delivery Option and email is coming with an attachment (Concurrent Program Output).
    Email Body is blank (as expected if Output is coming as an attachment), as per documentation if CP Output is in TEXT Format then Email body should show the Output instead of an attachment.
    My Question, is if Output is TEXT why it is coming as an attachment, do I need to Configure something?
    I am using and it is working fine(not sure if any of the argument is required to Set "SMTP_CONTENT_TYPE",
    l_ret := fnd_request.add_delivery_option
    (type => FND_DELIVERY.TYPE_EMAIL
         ,p_argument1 => 'Quick Invoice to Workbench Transfer Details' -- Subject
         ,p_argument2 => '[email protected]' -- From
         ,p_argument3 => l_email_add -- To
         ,p_argument4 => '[email protected]'); -- CC
    In Java Based Concurrent Program example, I foudn this line, not sure how to do that using PL/SQL
    req.addProperty(DeliveryPropertyDefinitions.SMTP_CONTENT_TYPE, "application/pdf");
    Please Help.

    Hi Pravin,
    Check the following sample program. Smartform driver program. It helps you how to convert smartform output as PDF using function module CONVERT_OTF. Once it is converted mail can be sent through function module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1.

  • To Send the Email to Ship to Party for Shipment Notification in SMARTFORMS

    HI Gurus,
    I am having a scenario to send the EMAIL  for Shipment Notification using SMARTFORMS when processed through VT01/VT02N transaction.
    I general process, the email is going to Forwarding agent Email address. But the user wants to send the notification to Ship to Party email address.
    Is there any IMG settings to be done or should we handle using Custom Driver program.? If yes, can anyone help how to achive this.
    Your help is greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Yathish

    Just take a look at this where PO is discussed but should not be different from your issue
    PO as SMART Form and mail as PDF
    Scheduling Agreement as PDF in email ?
    External Email (PDF Attachment) while PO is created or Changed
    Convert PO into PDF format and send by an email to vendor
    PDF form as email attachment for purchase order
    Send PO as email attachment
    How to convert smartform output to PDF and mailing them
