When tried, it did not work. The closest answer is noted here. Instructing to go to about:fig. Specifically, I installed the accuweather add=on and it took over my tab home page - the one that comes up when you click for a new tab. I didn't like it so I clicked the button to remove it and the page went blank. I searched to see out to restore the tab page, tired the reply at this page :

Thanks so much for your support. As I said I am not a professional, so I by chance saw a friend who is and this is what he suggested and it worked.

It says to Download and install Download and install''' NewTabURL''' and gives instructions on how to. Now when I open the tab it goes to my preferred search page!

Entering your new password on your iPhone will not affect the laptop, as mentioned in this article:

Try restoring from your backup of a day or so prior to when you made the error.

Can you put the new iworks on a ibook g3?

I am a huge apple fan. I have the iphone, ipad2 and an imac at work. I recently came across what I beleive is a ibook G3. ( it is dead and have to buy a wall charger for it). My question is this...
1. Can I add the new iworks to this computer?
2. Can I use the same iworks that I have on my imac for this G3 or do I need to buy a new software?
3. Does the G3 have Garageband?

You may be able to find a copy of iWork '05 that would work on the iBook.
If the iBook is all white, has two USB ports, and just says "iBook" under the display, it's an iBook G3 (Dual USB).
iBook G4s say "iBook G4" on the bezel beneath the display.
MacBooks look similar, and say "MacBook" beneath the display.

How do I know if this update is appropriate for Windows Vista? I have done updates before, only to discover that they did not work well with Vista.

I keep getting a message that I need to update to firefox version 7. I can't find any information to help me know if this version is compatible with Vista. I did an "automatic" update in the past, and needed to uninstall it because it did not work well with Vista. firefox is not giving me any info regarding this - it just says install it.

New tabs open Google homepage correctly but with cursor in text box rather than search box.

I have Google as my home page. When I open Firefox 7.0.1 the Google home page opens correctly with the cursor in the search box. I have set new tabs to also open in the home page. New tabs do open in Google but with the cursor in the text box rather than the search box. As I recall, this didn't happen before upgrading to 7.0.1 (actually, I think that I was using a tab configuration plug-in that may have been nuked in the Firefox update). This is driving me crazy, is there a solution for 7.0.1?

You can probably force it where you want it with a keyboard shortcut

Can only open one link at a time; any page in new tab will seem to load but appears blank. I have to open a new browser to go to a new page. Why?

This just began to happen yesterday. I have a MacBook Pro 10.7.5.
I can always get to the first page that I open in a new browser, but any page after that that I try to open in a new tab will seem to load but the page is blank.
This does not just happen with one website I have tried myriad of different sites.. only the first tab loads in a new browser. I am having to open a new browser if i want to go to another link - very frustrating..

In some windows, seems more likely after a crash recovery (but not sure there's a connection), Firefox puts the New Tab "+" button to the left of my tabs instead of the right. This is annoying, because once you're used to clicking it to the right of your open tabs, it's confusing to sometimes find it to the left.
If I go into Customize mode, it still shows the "+" tab on the right, but as soon as I close Customize, it's really still there on the left edge of the screen.
Why does this happen and can I stop it? I have seen no reports of this problem posted by others, but it's been happening for me since at least Version 12 and not fixed by version 13.0.1.

This may be related to session restore.

My search feature has been Hijacked. Everytime I try to click on a relivant search it goes to a totally unrelated site. I removed firefox and reinstalled it but it did not work. This does not happen in IE. Please help, I do not want to use IE. Michael
