Dear Apple Development Team

Although this posting may seem redundant, I implore you all to renegotiate your contractual agreements with AT&T, so all of the iPhone users may start using apps and services with Adobe Flash, Internet Tethering, alternate web browsers (firefox etc...). Please do not deny entry to the market for apps and services (such as Grooveshark) just because they offer competition, innovate and make your offerings better. There are many apps and services on alternate smartphone devices that run on the android OS that are capitalizing on the fact that your mired in contractual obligations and other kinds of BS. I know you are aware of this, so I ask you why you aren't doing anything about it. As an iPhone user I am beyond frustrated with the lack of service and app expansion. Instead of adding more barriers to expansion and innovation, as a developer that upholds those values, you should be embracing them. Why limit the potential of the iPhone, when you could do so much with it? (Not that is doesn't do amazing things already). Economically, allowing your competitors to capitalize on this seems foolish.

    We have finished and approved an app for a big client that have an Apple Developer Company account (yes, they have many app just published on Apple Store).
    Now i have to build the app but they only send me an invite to Developer Team with a member role (i can only download provisioning certificates no other).
    The big problem is: how to use their P12 certificate if i can not build from XCode?

    It sounds like you need to talk to the person at your client's company who is responsible for creating iOS certificates. Ask them to create an App ID (if it doesn't already exist), provision files, and push certificates. You'll need to obtain the p12 certificates and passwords in order to build the app. I don't think you can do that with your member sub account.

    Did you change the ID in Settings>iTunes & App Stores>Apple ID? Tap the old ID and sign out and then sign in with the new one. If not running iOS 6 it will be Settings>Stores>Apple ID.

    Dear Developers,
    I am submitting these questions to the ABAP development team at SAP regarding the language capabilities.
    Coming from the Java/C world I am wondering if you plan the following possible "evolutions" of the ABAP language :
       - a real boolean implementation in ABAP like in Java or C; possibly a OO class implementation with full operators;
       -> the possibilty to write conditionnal expressions or assignements like the followings :
       x = ( a and not b).
       if (x or f(x)=false) then ...
       - possibility in ABAP to nest function calls on objects like in most every OO language (java, c++, ruby...etc ) : x = a.b().c()
      - Concerning the ABAP editor :
         - fixing the problem with the drag n drop problem from the class browser to the source editor of long method+class/interface names
         - real code completion on objects (no heuristic approach) by providing access to method or attribute names like in most OO IDEs

    I have been looking over the site, and I am struggling to locate a contact address for the development team.
    The query is this: Without giving too much away, I have in mind what I believe to be a highly innovative software concept / marketing method to integrate with the existing format and content provided by iTunes.
    Therefore, I am looking to arrange a pitch for this idea.
    Probably a long shot on the forums, but I'm guessing there has to be a certain amount of company involvement in the moderation thereof.

  • Adobe Air Initiates the wrong launch Image on iPhone 6 - Possible App Rejection by Apple Review Team for all developers

    I've opened a bug for this issue as well. I want to ask if anyone experiencing the same issue and has found a workaround.  Basically Air Runtime is picking up the wrong launch image when launching on iPhone 6. It defaults to [email protected] instead of the [email protected] iOS 8 picks the correct image but Air Runtime does not. Here is the link for the bug. If this is confirmed, this could result in rejection for all the app developers who optimized their apps for iPhone 6 . It is hard to catch this bug in release mode since the Air Runtime loads pretty fast and it occurs when you device is slow or doing something in the background. You can see it easily on iOS simulator or debug mode. We tried everything for a workaround but we failed.

    Apple recommends the storyboard/xib option but you can still use launch images as assets in your root. When you open a new project in xcode you can look at Contents.json and see the naming conventions they use for iOS8. We grabbed the new naming convention from here. Also setting up in the application xml the UILaunchImages key works too. Please see the below example. It would be a better solution if Adobe Air refers to xml/info.plist values that the developer sets instead of hard-coded naming conventions.

    I click the Validate button for the Archive and it says it's fetching a list of teams from the portal. Then immediately it tells me that I am not registered as an Apple Developer. There is probably a simple explanation for this, but it's my first attempt a developing an App.

    The app is in iTunes Connect and everything is ready for the app store. I just need to upload the build, but I can only do it via XCode.     The designer is usually someone who just handles the user interface portion of the code. The developer would handle core functionality. I assumed you were the developer and the designer was the designer. You are the client and your "designer" is the developer.
    Ideally, you should create a business account so that you can add someone to your team. That is the way it is supposed to work. Otherwise, you will have to ask for the final source code so that you can build and submit the app yourself. You should always have the source code regardless. You should always perform the submission under your own account too. Otherwise, it is the developer's app, not yours.
    Sharing accounts is against the Apple Developer agreement anyway. The App Store Gold Rush is over. Now it is mostly zombie apps and competing fraudsters. You don't want to give someone access to your iTunes account. You really don't want to give someone access to your bank account either.
    The best solution would be to convert your account to a business account. You may be able to have the developer submit the app and then transfer it to you.
