You have a 1st generation iPod Touch.

You have to wait until the billing cycle ends before making any more changes to the account. The dropped insurance is definitely an example of a "pending order". Depending on how the data plan was changed on your dad's line, it might also be a pending order.

As far as I know, I can suspend the service up to 180 days. How can I re-suspend the service? I'm sorry you're having issues with suspending your line dyoung_lee. For each line of your account, you can only suspend your service for up to 180 days in a 365-day period. Have you suspended your before in the past year? Your line can remain suspended for up to 90 days.

Like ckuan said, Apple does not unlock iPhone; your carrier does, provided that the carrier offers this service.
Unfortunately, SoftBank does not offer authorized unlocking of iPhone.
Your best option is to sell this phone and buy another iPhone from the carrier of your choice or better buy a factory unlocked iPhone so you would be able to use it with any compatible GSM carrier around the world.

Four transfers. After the initial attempt with Migration Assistant failed (after hours and hours of wifi transfer) I did "mini-transfers" of more manageable, smaller bits of files -- my music in one, photos in another, etc. Since posting my question in this forum, i contacted Apple support, chatted with Angela, and she suggested getting an ethernet-USB adapter for my mac, connecting my external drive with ethernet and transferring files manually -- that is, NOT using the Migration Assistant at all. Tell your wife to get her own Apple ID. If you do not want continuity/handoff to work with calls, on both devicesgo to Settings==>>FaceTime==>> Turn OFF iPhone cellular calls.

Here's an easy way:
Pick the user that you want to eliminate (making sure that the remaining user has administrator privileges) and move all of the data that you want to keep into the Shared folder. Reboot or log out and login to the user you want to keep. Copy all the data from the Shared folder into your account - placing it neatly in folders (Documents, Music, Movies, etc.).
Once the data is moved, log into the account you want to delete just once more to make certain that you've grabbed all the data you want to keep. Log out and log back into your admin account and go to System Preferences>Users & Groups and delete the 'old' user.
That should do it.

When I connect (via windows computer) to Itunes with usb cord the Ipod icon shows, but the only function you can do is eject. When its in the upper right hand corner and you click on it all you get is a done button, when it's in the side bar right click and your only option is eject, left click has no effect. If I go to "file">devices it's as if there are no devices connected.
I purchased a song with Itunes on the Ipod itself, and it transferred to my library on the computer automatically .
I have an Iphone 5 and a nano that are still functioning with Itunes thru computer so I'm thinking the issue is with the Ipod touch. I've reset it several times, rebooted it, with no change.

I'm still attempting to restore it, but the process goes as follows
- Extracting software.
- Waiting for iphone.
- Preparing iphone software for restore.
- Verifying iphone software.
- Restoring iPhone software.
It is at this point where it begins to load approxiamtely 10% and then freezes. I have had the handset connected 7 hours with no progress and this is my third attempt since Friday. Please help.
