Dear Apple what will happen if I charged my iPod touch 5 gen for 9 hours?

Hello. Apple .. What will happen if I charged my iPod touch 5gen for 9 hours?

Charging for 9 hours will not damage the iPod. Charging stops when the battery reaches 100%.

  • What will happen if I return refurbished iPod?

I made a stupid mistake when I recently ordered a refurbished iPod Nano for my girlfriend for Christmas.
I just didn't realize that the refurbished unit was a 1st generation iPod; I thought I was buying her a 2nd generation unit.
So, what will happen if I return the iPod? The box has been opened and she has used it for a couple of days. Will there be a restocking fee or anything of that sort?

Thanks for the reply and link.
Looks like I might be in trouble since I threw the box away.
I wonder if their "All products must be packed in the original, unmarked packaging" applies to refurbished products that just come in a plain brown box?

  • MY PC WAS REFORMATTED. WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I CONNECT MY IPOD TO MY PC NOW

    Hi everyone!
My pc was recently formatted, and now I want to add new songs to my iPod. What will happen to the songs in my iPod when i connect it to the newly formatted PC? (not all songs in my iPod are in my PC anymore).
Is there a way I can get all my songs from my iPod to my PC? If there is a way, would the songs remain organized from the iPod to the PC? Coz I am very organized with my iTunes and iPod, every artist, genre, album title is fixed.
Would the PC automatically update my iPod? I know there is a setting in iTunes where I could choose if iTunes updates my iPod automatically or manually, but I can't seem to find it. I'm afraid to connect my iPod now to my PC because this might erase and foul up my songs in my iPod.
    Thanks and please help.
    Chad

If your iPod is set to update automatically you just need to take care when connecting back to your computer and an empty iTunes. If it is set to automatically update you will get a message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press *No*. Pressing "Yes" will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it: Managing Your Songs Manually
You can also use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys (on a Mac hold down the Option and Command (⌥ and ⌘) keys). This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer. Then go to Edit>Preferences>iPod and check the "Manually manage songs and playlists" box.
You can't sync or drag your music back directly from an iPod to iTunes, the transfer of music is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward.
    YamiPod Mac and Windows Versions
    iGadget Windows Only
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows Versions
iPod Access Mac and Windows Versions
    PodUtil Mac and Windows Versions
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows Versions
    PodPlayer Windows Only
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync again. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up in case you have problems again. External drives are comparatively inexpensive these days and you can get loads of storage for quite a small outlay.

  • Whats the best way to charge an Ipod Touch 4th generation?

What is the best way to charge an Ipod Touch 4th generation?

Every night is fine. It is not desirable to let the iPod automatically shut off on low battery.

  • What will happen when I restore my iPod?

I have a few songs that I downloaded from the iTunes store, and cannot get them off my iPod Touch. See this thread for full discription of the problem.
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/16745511#16745511
Anyway long story short, what exactly happens when I restore it. Do I lose my photos, emails, contacts. Will all of the songs be deleted so I could re-sync them from my computer, the way I want them?
Can I also re-sync all my other stuff back to the iPod? This part is important to me.
Or would it be faster to go to an Apple store and have them delete the songs, @ 100km from my house.

  • HT1222 What will happen if I update my ipod to 6.1.3

If I update my ipod to 6.1.3 what will happen

What will happen is that you will get
    improvements and bug fixes, including:
Fixes a bug that could allow someone to bypass the passcode and access the Phone app
    Improvements to Maps in Japan

  • What will happen if i exceeded in entering incorrect passcode for restriction

what happens if you try to enter incorrect passcode for restrictions too may times

No. You just will not be able to get into anything that you have restricted, but it shouldn't disable the iPad.
Actually, I just thought of this. Look at this app.... iPhone Backup Extractor. You may be able to extract the Passcode with this.

Then look at this article. It talks about using a Mac, but it gives the basics on how to use the extractor to get the Passcode.

  • What can happen if i drop my ipod touch?

    hi
i drop my ipod touch from a table of 80 or 90 centimeters aprox., the ipod fall in the touch scrren and i wanna know what can happen with the screen or the ipod?

It can break, of course. Or nothing may happen. It all depends on how it happens to fall and what it falls on.
Did you indeed drop your iPod? If so, is there any visible damage or are you experiencing any problems?
    Regards.

  • Dear Apple is IOS 7 going to be on iPod touch 4g.

Why can't you guys just put IOS 7 on all Apple products including iPod touch 4g.

We are all itunes users just like you.
Like all other software driven devices, the older hardware simply cannot handle the newest software forever.  This is true of all software driven devices, not unusual at all.

  • The part where I plug my charger into ipod (touch gen.4) broke as in the little rods so now it's out of batteries and won't let me charge but it is synced to iTunes so can I retrieve the photos

Well here is what you need to know the place where I plug the charger in on my iPod touch 4 is broken some of the rods are broken it is out of batteries however it is synced to itunes  it's three and a half years old so can I retrieve the photos on it please answer

Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!
I hope this helps, because it was incredibly frustrating. Good luck!

  • Computer crashed...lost itunes...what will happen if i plug my ipod nano

I have an ipod nano (1st series) and my computer crashed, i lost my itunes and i am worried if i plug in my ipod then all the songs on it will be deleted..What should i do?

    SSolo129,
There's an answer to your question but first it's time for a little lecture - if it makes a difference, I don't feel any better about this than you do. ; - )
I hope you take this unfortunate situation as an opportunity to learn a very important lesson: Back up your iTunes library as soon as you can after resolving this situation because right now you are only one glitch of your iPod away from losing your music entirely.
Many people come to the Discussions having lost their music in just such situations and, believe me, it's not a happy time for anyone.
If you place any importance on your playlists and the data they depend on, make sure to include the iTunes Library files in your back-up regimen as well.
Anyways, that's the lecture. The answer to your problem should be found in Zevoneer's post .
Good Luck! But once you have the music back on your computer, remember:
Your music is valuable - please back it up!

  • HT1349 what will happen if i delete backup on my iphone for my sons ipod? would any data be lost from his ipod or my iphone? my storage is almost full

I received notification on my iphone thru icloud that my storage is close to being full, it is because my kids ipods use the same email address!  If i delete the backup for their ipods, will it delete any info from their ipods or my iphone??

I wouldn't delete the actual backup file, due to unforseen risks.
Try managing the content better, such as removing songs/apps/videos/photos, etc.

  • What will 3.0 upgrade give us Ipod Touch owners?

It's not clear to me what the new upgrade will add to my touch. It seems almost everything was directly related to the iphone.
    Can anyone tell me please?

  • I did not charge my iPod Touch 4G for about 2 weeks, and now its not charging up

It looks completely dead to me, I tried charging it with the USB charger and there is no response at all.
I tried to charge it for one entire night with no results, and even the restore (pressing both home and sleep buttons thingy) doesn't work in this case?
What should I do, is there any hope for it and might I get some positive results if I use the wall charger or a dock?

    Hi,
I actually found a solution to my problem. I tried charging it on the dock and it worked.
Try the same and see, if you dont have a dock see if one of your friends can help you out

What will happen if I want to buy an app for $10 but I have $9.50 in credit. Will it use up all of the credit then go to my card for the 50 cents or will it go straight to my card?

It will use the credit balance forst, then it will use the bank card for the remaining amount due.
